Anti-election news #2 from the Philippines
Wednesday, May 22nd, 2013

Read #1 here.
As the campaign period for the May 13 polls heated up on its last day on Saturday, cab driver told that, “I am not excited to vote. Every three years, I keep hearing the same promises from the same people, who keep breaking their promises every two years. Old and new politicians are alike. They want to remain in power forever. They don’t serve the people.” (more…)

May 27 Mai Anti-Capitalist Assembly in Montreal / Assemblée anti-capitaliste à Montréal (Canada)
Sunday, May 19th, 2013
[Français ci-dessous!]
*Invitation to an Anti-Capitalist Assembly in Montreal*
Monday May 27, 2013
1:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Location: 7th Floor, Hall Building, Concordia University, 1455 de Maisonneuve Blvd West. This location is wheelchair-accessible.
Monday May 27 2013, after the annual Montreal Anarchist Bookfair, we hope to create a space where anti-capitalist allies from all over can reunite to discuss and reflect together, and to talk about what keeps us busy in the different cities where we live.
This will allow us to articulate our struggles and link our actions. It will also be an opportunity to tell each other what’s coming and what we’re organizing this year, whether we want to visit one another, etc.
It will act as an occasion for us to sit down and (re-)launch a collective reflection on the ideas and actions that are on the table at the moment, to reinforce the links and networks woven over time, and to lay the groundwork for new affinities. (more…)

Greece: Communiqué by Athens IMC administration assembly, 18.4.2013
Tuesday, April 30th, 2013

via contra-info:
We continue to respond in a political manner to the political decision toward censorship that all of the minions of Capital and totalitarianism undertook silently
On Thursday noon, April 11th, 2013 the rector of the National Technical University of Athens (Athens Polytechnic School), Simos Simopoulos, took the political decision to repress counter-information media by cutting off network access to Athens IMC (athens.indymedia.org) and 98FM self-organized radio station (Radiozones of Subversive Expression). He thus undertook the political responsibility to impose censorship and stifle the expression and free movement of ideas of all those who resist the contemporary fascistization and social impoverishment. Simopoulos—being the second Rector of Repression after Markatos, 18 years ago—decided to be the one to intervene in place of the state power, and what’s more, he undertook the role of mouthpiece facilitating the work of the Repression minister Dendias, the cops and the Nazis. #J11: Carnival in the West End of London (UK)
Friday, April 26th, 2013

“11 June 2013. #J11.
One Common Struggle.
Carnival Against Capitalism.”
Their London?
London is right at the heart of global capitalism. And the West End of London, including elite areas like Piccadilly, Mayfair and Knightsbridge, is where power and greed are most concentrated. The West End is home to:
* Corporations. Many of the world’s most brutal and polluting companies, including oil and mining giants, arms dealers, and the businesses profiting from cuts and privatisation.
* Vulture funds. Global base of the “hedge fund” and “private equity” industries, laundering the world’s blood money to invest in war, food speculation and debt slavery.
* Tyrants. Government offices, embassies, cultural and commercial fronts of colonial powers and murderous regimes.
* Playground of the mega-rich. Middle Eastern dictators, Russian mafia oligarchs, and home-grown parasites all see London as a “safe” place to hide and spend their loot. (more…)

Thessaloniki, Greece: Open letter to the Steki Nadir from 325
Monday, April 15th, 2013
Comrades,
We received your proposal for the counter-information gathering at your self-organised space on April 12-13, our apologies for not being able to respond sooner about it. Our inability to travel to Thessaloniki at this time meant that we prepared a written contribution to be distributed, whilst some of our circle made their further critical thoughts into another text. So here you’ll find two texts in English, Greek and Italian, which are posted openly in the hope of spreading discussion and action ever further.
Contribution to Nadir squat gathering from 325
Qualifications- response to Steki Nadir: A few thoughts on our use of technology by some luddites:
Recently we read the text of Alfredo Cospito to the CCF which we found ourselves very much in agreement with, particularly this section:
“Communication cannot but be carried out through action and this is why we do not have to assign it in some way to the professionals of speech. It is vital, of course, that the news and ideas go around the world. It is necessary however that we avoid in any way the transformation into bureaucracy of a procedure that must remain free from the elite of those who specialize in information.”
We return the warm greeting of Viva La Anarquia in Chile, who we regard as our anarchist friends and comrades; likewise, we send our incendiary hugs to all the groups and networks.
Always next to and part of the combative anarchist tendency!
Always in memory of Ryo!

EGYPT: Nothing has changed, but everything begins…
Saturday, April 13th, 2013
The left-radical group TŘÍDNÍ VÁLKA (CLASS WAR) based in Czech Republic, sent us the new text they have released about the situation in Egypt. You can find the links below to their blog with downloadable PDF file.

http://autistici.org/tridnivalka/wp-content/uploads/egypt-nothing-has-changed-but-everything-begins.pdf
Everyone, whatever he says, whatever he does, takes part in the class struggle… Either in an active or a passive way… While developing and deepening it or while denying it… As a subject of his own existence or as an object of his survival under the dictatorship of value… In the camp of the proletariat or that of the bourgeoisie… As a human being or as a useful idiot of capital… “The history of all hitherto existing society is the history of class struggles.” (Karl Marx) (more…)

May 29, 2013 – Day of International Solidarity with Anarchists Facing Repression in Bolivia
Monday, April 8th, 2013
Absolution for the May 29 defendants! No highway through TIPNIS! Freedom for all prisoners!
On May 29, 2012, 13 people were arrested by police in La Paz, Bolivia.
All of them were connected to anarchist participation in the defense of TIPNIS, an indigenous territory and national park. The 13 were accused of a series of arsons, bombings, and sabotage claimed by the Informal Anarchist Federation-International Revolutionary Front (FAI-FRI). The actions, occurring from September 2011 to May 2012, targeted government buildings, banks, car companies, fast food restaurants, supermarkets, and animal industries. Some of the attacks were claimed in solidarity with the struggle to defend TIPNIS, others in solidarity with comrades facing repression in Chile, others in support of animal liberation. (more…)

6th Anarchist Bookfair – Lisbon – 24th, 25th, 26th of May 2013 (Portugal)
Thursday, March 28th, 2013
We’re back!
Here comes the 6th Anarchist Bookfair, which will take place on the 24th, 25th and 26th of May 2013 in Lisbon at the Amigos do Minho (in Intendente), with the every year renovated goal of creating an autonomous space, open to all, for the dissemination and discussion of the anarchist ideas.
In this year’s program of the Bookfair, besides the usual stalls, two debates are scheduled. On one hand, we want to discuss the actuation and limitations of the media industry and its possible alternatives. On the other, we’ll debate the role of libraries as a privileged space for meeting, reflection, discussion and sharing.
It is intended that the Bookfair incentives the edition of books and other anarchist publications and its reading. We continue to believe that anarchy is the alternative to the violence of the state, the arrogance of the capital, the “progress” of the technique and the damages of subservient journalism.

Egypt like the Sea
Wednesday, January 30th, 2013
Social revolution is like the sea. Its waves chase one another, crash against the obstacles they encounter, crushing them or backing down. With all the violence of an indomitable rush, they destroy, blow after blow any trace of power, of exploitation and oppression. A first wave, immense and unexpected, swept away the dictatorship of Murabak. A second one put the army that was about to take over power on its knees. A third one is rising today against the new order that the islamists are trying to impose.
The real revolutionary storm does not obey any party, any boss, any power. On the contrary, these are its irreconcilable enemies. They will be swept away as the storm intensifies. Between the social revolution that will subvert any relation based on exploitation and power and the impostors, the bosses, the masters, the political parties, the capitalist and the authoritarians of any shade, there cannot be anything other than struggle til the bitter end. Because freedom and the end of exploitation, imply the destruction of capitalism and of any power. (more…)

“Do not say that we are few; just say that we are determined” – by the R.O. CCF and Theofilos Mavropoulos (Greece)
Sunday, December 2nd, 2012
via contrainfo:
Contribution of the nine imprisoned members of the R.O. CCF and anarchist prisoner Theofilos Mavropoulos to an international anarchist meeting convened under the insurrectional perspective (Zurich, 10–13 November 2012)
“Do not say that we are few.. Just say that we are determined..”
The question is not whether we are more or less poor, but whether we live in a way that does not contain us. We do not want to repeat things that have already been said.
We have banished from our minds the idea of central governance, and we do not believe in legends about the phantom of the proletariat. We are thus neither faced with an isolated State, which allegedly gives commands from the palaces of its Power, nor with a society that is waiting to be awakened in order to revolt. Today’s society is a pervasive social factory that produces attitudes, values, ethics and habits.
Today’s society works like a social death machine, which devours time, space, emotions and consciousnesses. The centre of the State and the heart of the system are dispersed in millions of small and large representations of Power in our everyday lives. They lie at the language we speak, the images of advertisements, the architecture of the cities, the virtual reality of technology, the people-centered civilization, the firearms of cops, the national symbols of fascists, the locks of private property, the standards we fall in love with, the walls of prisons. (more…)
