Comacchio, Ferrara: TSO [compulsory psychiatric treatment] and Teargas (Italy)
Saturday, June 12th, 2010
This communiqué, written by anarchists from Ferrara (northern Italy), exposes an appalling episode that occurred in Comacchio, a town in the province of Ferrara. Apparently just a provincial story, but one that reminds us of the unacceptable conditions imposed by this murderous system, a story that concerns all of us.

Psychiatry makes recourse to more and more terrible means to take away the freedom of those whom it considers deviant according to its biased vision of ‘normality’.
On May 28 2010, in a lively town in the province of Ferrara, where a reactionary rightwing mayor has just been elected, a 34-year-old man was subjected to the hideous activity of psychiatric doctors and of their best mates in uniform (police and carabinieri-paramilitary police).
It all started when police were alerted that a man had entered a church and started swearing during the mass. Eventually the man went outside a bar, where he exhibited some martial arts postures. This is what the local press reported, as it depicted the man as ‘a public danger, someone to be scared of’. (more…)

Police lack sense of humour (Italy)
Monday, May 31st, 2010
From Lecce, Italy. The Church and the State, a long story of collaboration.
An anti-religion demonstration took place in the centre of Lecce [southern Italy] on April 30, with an exhibition, leaflets, megaphone and discussions on sexuality, abortion, personal freedoms, obscurantism. All these questions are obsessively brandished by the Church, as it tries to intrude its tentacles in the intimacy of everyone.
Nothing strange so far, except that the terrible demonstrators, just for fun, were offering desecrated wafers, wine of the Madonna and sweets of free love to passer-bys. Funny games were also being played to cheer the sunny afternoon of the very bigoted and bourgeois city of Lecce. But, as everybody knows, the pigs in uniform don’t like having fun except when they massacre those who end up in their barracks and police stations. (more…)

Letter from Casey Hardison (UK)
Sunday, May 30th, 2010
Casey is a renegade chemist and cognitive researcher with a sparklingly compassionate and positive outlook, held hostage by the British State for the ‘crime’ of manufacturing LSD & DMT.
Casey has been sentenced to 20 years in prison, a judgement which was clearly affected by Casey’s decision to defend his position as a benevolent advocate of cognitive liberty and freedom. Inside the prison Casey refuses prison labour, and instead spends his time researching and studying, helping other prisoners with their legal cases and generally being cheerful.

The Ramblings of an Entheogenic Fun-da-mentalist
“Allegedly, Oscar Wilde said, “I used to be an atheist, until I realized I was God”. Yet, experiencing a similar reality, I became an atheist: drinking deeply of the beauty of this world, transforming suffering and turning it into pearls. And this since my rampant curiosity and disregard for arbitrary authority led me to ingest several drippy drippy dream drops of LSD, catalyzing within me a biochemical cascade modulating my sensory apparati in ways unsuspected, deeply touching to my human, intimately familiar to my body / mind, and yet so mysterious that I have pursued this entheogenic mind-state to infinity and beyond only to arrive here and now on this page memetically manipulating your malleable mind. Vassilis Palaiokostas letter to the media (Greece)
Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010
From rioter.info
A translation of the letter sent to “Eleftherotipia” newspaper on the occasion of Polys (Polykarpos) Georgiades and Vaggelis Chrisohoides jury on 2/2 on the accusations of providing refuge to a “criminal” and being part of his “criminal association”. Vassilis Palaiokostas is on the run, after his escape with a helicopter from Korydallos prison, on Feb. 22/2009, accused for robbing banks and kidnapping industrialists. It is worth to say, he has never harmed human life, not even cop lives to avoid an arrest. On the opposite, he and his older brother (a legendary bank robber and escapee, currently held in prison) are said to have helped many poor people and communities in mainland Greece’ mountains where they come from and are often said to find refuge at, continuing a tradition of “social robbery” that blossom around the Balkans since the decline of the Ottoman Empire.

“On the occasion of the upcoming jury on the kidnapping of the industrialist G. Mylonas, that begins on Tuesday February 2, I would like to clarify certain issues.
Through different periods of my life I have been a first line fugitive, nearly 12 years in total an escapee (I hope there’s more of that coming) and 8 years a prisoner. (more…)

Break the Silence (about the arrests in Bologne, Italy)
Tuesday, May 26th, 2009
(inspired by a few leaflets from ‘Fuoriluogo’)
Saturday 13th October 2007 at around 4am: a girl is sleeping in piazza Verdi in Bologna (northern Italy). Police on patrol decide that the girl’s behaviour is ‘abnormal’ and must be corrected by compulsory sanitary treatment (TSO), which means internment in a psychiatric hospital and forced administration of psychotropic drugs. The cops call the ambulance while keeping the girl under their custody against her will. (more…)
