Yolanda is one of the most destructive typhoons to have visited the Philippine archipelago. It pummeled the Visayas region, particularly Leyte and some parts of Cebu and Panay areas. Super typhoon Yolanda left the archipelago with thousands of dead people, commercial and residential structures destroyed, power knocked-out; agriculture and livelihoods are washed-out that caused billions of losses. Destruction is so extensive that it caused unimaginable effect to the survivors.
Government’s Response caused more devastation to the people
The Philippine archipelago is in the frontline of calamity brought by storms. It is a common knowledge impossible to miss especially by the government which is supposed to be the authority in terms of preparation and rehabilitation. The huge number of dead people scattered in Leyte is attributable to the incapacity of the government to install preparatory mechanism to lessen casualties, the Philippine government did not learn from our past experience of havoc due to storm surges. On November 8, 2013, typhoon Haiyan or Yolanda (local name) shot its landfall in the Philippines. Typhoon Yolanda is one of the strongest typhoons which struck Philippines on a record. It has sustained winds of 235 kph (147 mph) with gusts of 275 kph (170 mph) when it made landfall. By those measurements, Yolanda can be compared to a strong Category 4 hurricane in the U.S, nearly in the top category, a 5.
People dead, missing. Houses, every single building is wrecked. No food, water, medicine, a good place to stay. People are starting to loot, steal. Children are sick, hungry, cold. For 5 days, all that we have to see and hear are how Yolanda has damaged us. No amount of words to exactly describe what it has done. But we are never hopeless. We will stand again and WE NEED YOU. “To continue the momentum of direct action targeting speciesist companies in Portland, we slashed several tires on company vans at Sunshine Dairy Foods, located at 801 NE 21st Avenue. We are happy to see the surge in illegal actions in Portland. Keep fighting.

What: The Radical Mycology Convergence (RMC) is a unique gathering of mycologists, mushroom enthusiasts, and Earth stewards coming together to share skills and information on the numerous benefits of the fungal kingdom for humans and the planet. The RMC is a weekend long event consisting of workshops, presentations, and various mycoremediation installations. Beyond the skills shared, the RMC also works to build a community among like-minded mycophiles (aka mushroom lovers) and community-based earth healers to collaborate on remediation and restoration projects during and after the RMC. Phoenix project #7: ELF/FAI burn down sawmill at hunting resort in Bryansk – ‘Some thoughts on recent issues with FAI/IRF’ (Russia)
Saturday, October 5th, 2013
Received via encrypted mailing oak:
On October the 2nd of 2013, 2 incendiaries 1.5l of gasoline each were placed at the sawmill situated on the land of a hunting resort under Bryansk (western Russia). Tongues of flames rose up to lick the rags left by unfortunate woodcutters right on the device. A nearby hill offered awesome spot to enjoy the night scene: thick smoke was soon gathering under the roof and coiling around the compound in a mist-like fashion.
We suggest this action to count as our input in PHOENIX project (#7), a project for the revival of direct action acts and anarchist resistance after repressions of 2010-2012. We wholeheartedly support our mates from Moscow cells of CCF and ELF when they state the necessity to resume and widen our attacks on state and capital.
Some thoughts about the recent critique by anonymous comrades from Argentina. Without any second thoughts of being self-referential or posting useless bravado:
Interior debates are not always worth it to publish them in English on international sites. Besides we thought that a series of attacks on similar targets still sparks debates in the anarchist community at least on the local level (we can name anti-police campaign of 2008-2011, Khimki and Butovsky forests, recent protests against mining project in Voronezh). Sometimes things go beyond debates.
We also considered it agreed upon that its very hard to coordinate timed hits at the similar structures on the international level (like fur farms, woodcutter industry, cops, prisons, military objects, industry, banks, gas and oil etc.) as this takes more time and we are communicating on a more or less public level here. So our enemies can get the better of us. It is debatable whether we should risk our freedom during next action for a chance to see a communique about similar action taking place 6 months later somewhere else. Besides, one cannot say we do not coordinate to some extent: notice the series of attacks at power supply lines and electricity industry objects in Belarus, Canada and Indonesia, actions taken against banking institutions in the UK, Russia, Germany, Italy, Greece, numerous coordinated acts of hunger strikes performed by our imprisoned comrades throughout the planet.
For our collective the whole FAI-IRF thing is more important because of the feeling of being part to some wider community. In the past that was the “social anarchist” organizations’ exclusive domain. Now anarchists of other inclinations can feel camaraderie and support across the globe. Just several years ago in our country if you wanted to get in touch with anarchists you’d have to suffer through established mainstream anarchists organizations. And if some shit happened they were the first to mumble about police provocateurs and stuff. Now people who feel the same, who are edging towards rebellion and actions as no less valid than anarchist theory, can link up outside the pacifist and reformist anarchist framework. And when we read about hundreds of cars burning in one part of the world, banks going in flames in another and construction vehicles sabotaged somewhere else – so much the better. A short trip in memory: recall the heated discussions over the FAI acronym just a little while ago (or early discussions over the support/denouncement of CCF). We believe it is the achievement every group from FAI-IRF that things have changed.
We understand that your concern is lack of streamlined coordination in our attacks, but we have another issue to discuss as well: new groups to be formed, spreading of information, countermeasures against repressions. If one wants to coordinate her attacks more thoroughly, she needs only to read other people’s communiques better. But to fight the still ongoing repression aimed at direct action groups world wide – this is the task we believe should be addressed asap.

Note: This contribution was written by Elisa while she was still locked up in the Rebibbia prison following so-called Operation Ardire. She was released on September 7 and she is now being subjected to restrictive measures.
To be honest (excuse me for the unpleasant word) I’ve never participated in any of the previous meetings for animal liberation. This is the first time I’m expressing my opinion on an occasion of this kind, although I’m locked up in jail.
What I’m about to write is not necessarily linked to a precise and univocal topic related to an agenda, but it is meant as a series of considerations and questions, which share a holistic perspective and an antiauthoritarian way to perceive the existent.
It may seem an inconclusive series of thoughts… do what you want with it, but I want to let you know that the main goal of my short contribution is to demolish some stereotypes and demystify some ‘absolute truths’. And now I’m going freewheel… (more…)

Two Moscow cells of ecoanarchists carried out a coordinated attack on highway construction site in eastern Moscow that ended in torching of two bulldozers. The action took place on 08/09/2013. First we came upon some construction workers who were busy burning fires at their wheeled houses near the forest. So initially we were tempted to fuck them up and torch their houses with tools and personal belongings. But turned out that our mutual desire to clean karma was stronger than inclination to spoil it, so we didn’t touch the slaves. We torched their vehicles.
As usual, we acted with impudence: we did our black deeds right in front of workers and passer-by car drivers. So we apologized to the guy who almost got into a traffic accident because flaming dozer hypnotized him so much.
We take this opportunity to remind you that roadworks at the site continue. Moscow region is teeming with projects like this one, when trees are uprooted and earth is covered in bitumen. The more roads there are – the less we got left to live. This is not okay with us. Good luck to those who are brave. Death to those who are not.

2nd of September, 2013:
The active resistance camp against the MAT (very high tension electricity line) taking place near Girona has squatted a huge, antique, abandoned farmhouse near the village of Oriol, in order to give continuity to the struggle against this deadly project and the world which needs it. The resistance against the MAT has been active for more than a decade and has now reached a crucial point seeing that the construction of the line has now started in this area and is going ahead at a furious pace. ACTIVE RESISTANCE CAMP IN DEFENSE OF THE LAND – AGAINST THE M.A.T. AND THE WORLD WHICH NEEDS IT
WHAT IS THE M.A.T.?
The very high tension line (‘Muy Alta Tensión’ – M.A.T.) is an electrical motorway which transports at least 400,000 volts. It is being constructed in order to connect European States to each other and also Europe with Africa. It is necessary in order to sell and distribute excess energy produced by nuclear power plants and the so-called alternative sources of energy. At the same time, it is the network which capitalism needs in order to supply the electricity necessary for other projects and infrastructures of death and destruction, such as high-speed railway lines [TAV]. Those responsible for all this are always the same ones and the construction companies in question are directly involved in other projects which are destroying lands around the world; companies like Vinci standing out in Europe and Endesa in South America. Right now there is a battle against mining in Sapmi, north of Sweden, going on. We have barricaded the road leading to the site where Beowulf Mining Plc. want to make test mines. This is the Sami peoples lands stolen by the Swedish state and colonized since way back. We stand in solidarity with indigenous culture and fight against the mega-machine of mining. The Swedish police are now on the site removing obstacles to help the mining corporation proceed. At least 6 people have been arrested already but protests are still going on. For five days the police have this special mission to help the evil corporation, that’s why we need people now! (more…)
Two dolphins liberated from Yevpatoria dolphinarium by ‘SEALS on tour’ cell of the Animal Liberation Front – Informal Anarchist Federation (Ukraine)
Tuesday, July 23rd, 2013
2 dolphins were set free from Yevpatoria dolphinarium as a result of a special operation with diving equipment. During the night of the full moon on 20/07/2013 we covered 2 km under water and breached the security perimeter: We cut the nets and entered the dolphin containment pools.
In the next hour we cut a large part of the perimeter barrier. Dolphins encouraged our efforts with clicks and whistling. Their support filled us with joy and excitement.
This has been an unforgettable meeting and encouraging experience for us. Our job done, we left the area of operation. By the way, the prison was equipped with night-vision cameras, but their red eyes were turned on the catwalks and audience seats. Nobody expected our approach from below. As soon as dolphins got wind of freedom and open water, they escaped into the night sea.

What is the M.U.O.S.
The M.U.O.S. (Mobile User Objective System) is a modern, satellite-based telecommunications system in the U.S. military. It consists of five geostationary satellites and four ground stations, of which 3 already exist in the desert of the U.S. state of Virginia, one in the Australian desert and one on one of the isles of Hawaii, exclusively used for military purposes. The fourth will be set up in the south of Sicily, 2km from Niscenni, a small town with 20,000 inhabitants. Each of these ground stations is equipped with three parabolic antennas on the diameter of 18.4 meters, which transmit in the microwave range, and two 149 meter high helical antennas in the UHF spectrum. Click images for bigger size files. Background info on the murder of Sabino Romero in English here.
CURARE ANTI-INFO BLOG: http://apuntandoalaliberaciontotal.blogspot.com/

ECO CAMP BACKGROUND
Eco-Camp is an activity organized by Mobile Anarchist School with the help by Local Autonomous Network (LAN) both active in the Philippines. Last April 2012 was the first camping held in Tanay Rizal, Philippines. It was attended by various collectives and individuals totaling around 40 people who participated the various activities and discussions in the camp. The objective of the eco-camp was to discuss the different issues confronting our current society and to find solidarity actions that can help expose and popularize our issues.
After series of activities in 2012, the LAN decided to expand its activities on ecological issues due to concrete manifestation of the crisis impacting the archipelago.
The second eco-camp gathering was organized by LAN and the Mobile Anarchist School in March 2013 to heighten our education campaign and to strengthen the relationship with other affinity groups and build an international network better able to work towards intensifying our impact by making solidarity actions globally. This is to announce the first Feral Awakening rewilding green anarchist Gathering from July 24th to 31st to be focused on rewilding, anti-civilization critiques (with of course in depth forums on green anarchy, anarcho-primitivism), and a place for folks to gather together in the wild who desire to see the end of civilization and wildness flourish in its place. We’re hoping to provide a space for people to make connections with each other and the earth, for those of us who realize that civilization is a destructive force upon all life and the planet itself and are looking to do what we can to see a world without it. We’d like to invite groups and individuals engaged in struggles against the destruction of the Earth (and indeed all interconnected forms of oppression) to join us and share your stories, lessons, skills, and whatever else you may have to offer. Message of solidarity from some people of the ZAD (Zone A Défendre) and elsewhere in France, an occupied area against an international airport and metropolisation project.
With pleasure, we heard of the reactions of solidarity against the evictions at Athens in December and January : United States, India, England, Canada, Australia, Japan, Chile… and also the numerous actions and demonstrations through Greece.
In split of contexts differences here or elsewhere, the same mechanisms of repression sweep down on all those who struggle against the imposition of what our lives should be. And who wants a liberty which have an other flavour than the sad liberty to survive in their international competition in silence. (more…)

from russia with love:
We receive and transmit: 10/02/2013 members of ALF-Kuban torched construction vehicles used for destroying a grove – one of the few left – in Krasnodar.
“All river basin is in danger, because these woods act as lungs for three districts: Komsomolsky, Pashkovky and Hydrostroy). In their lust for profit development companies won’t listen to locals, ecological surveys or petitions. So we chose to sabotage their efforts. We are making them pay,” – ALF-Kuban
