Santiago: Bus torched near the University of Santiago in an act of urban chaos (Chile)

November 10th, 2015

From Noticias de la Guerra Social:

During the night of November 6, 2015, a group of hooded comrades decided to intercept a Transantiago bus on route 406 in Matucana near the University of Santiago. After getting the bus to stop up at the junction of Matucana with Romero, they climbed aboard, threatening the driver and getting out close to 60 passengers without injuring them or hurting them. Once the bus was evicted, they quickly proceeded to spray fuel and then launched a Molotov cocktail setting the bus on fire.

The hooded comrades quickly dropped leaflets and disappeared without being caught by the repressive forces which came along with firefighters to control the fire and investigate the wreckage.

Pamphlet transcript released and shown by Radio Bio Bio.

The attack should be done constantly,
from all areas in which we are engaged.
Destroy all prisons that limit our lives and wishes.
… Our conviction is of a society without authority,
We move in the action of a permanent war.
Insurgent greetings for all those who are behind bars.
The knife tip for the jailer.

Urgent solidarity call for Robert Seth Hayes – Defend our long-term prisoners (USA)

November 10th, 2015

As many of you know, Seth has had a chronic cough since May of this year for which he did not receive any diagnosis or treatment for many months.

When Seth finally saw the pulmonologist at Coxsackie on Monday, November 2, the doctor wanted to know why the medical personnel at Sullivan had waited so long to bring Seth for a pulmonary exam. The pulmonologist intends to schedule for Seth a CT scan, a CT scan of his heart, and bloodwork. The pulmonologist thought there might be some infection, but needs more info.

In addition, the facility doctor (Dr. Sidorowicz) told Seth to come to the clinic to use the nebulizer whenever he feels short of breath. Seth has been using an inhaler twice a day (Seth does not get to carry his inhaler, and so needs to go to medical when he gets short of breath) and also the nebulizer twice a day for a while now, although he does not yet have a diagnosis of the cause of this chronic cough. ‘Panggayaw’ for Lumad self-determination and autonomy for other Indigenous Communities (Philippines)

November 10th, 2015

There is quite a number of cultures existing and continuously practiced by different indigenous communities in the islands. It is estimated that there is 110 languages in the archipelago and the concept of “Manggayaw” or “Panggayaw” is commonplace. The said word is being used by indigenous communities in different areas in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. It corresponds with attacking from the waters or land on specific targets considered to be “enemies”.

Manggayaw or Panggayaw could be due to various reasons such as revenge, protection, raiding for marriage or pillaging for its own sake and slave trading in certain places.

Barbaric could be the first thing which comes to minds. Others consider it an uncivilized act based on how we were raised and brought up by our society. This could only be the case if the institutions like the government, market, school or church shaped our consciousness the way it did.

Therefore it is so much better to be familiar with this part of our culture which our ancestors are proud and considered to be positive in regards to marriage, blood pact, trade and even warfare. It is an imperative for many Lumads in the archipelago to engage in Panggayaw or “Panggagamot.” These practices are imbedded in our belief system which resonates also with marriage, planting, hunting, exchange and ritual offerings to indigenous spirits.

According to the colonizers (republican government, communists and the church) these practices which emanated from our ancestors are backward and needed to be replaced. Read the rest of this entry »

Minneapolis: Solidarity rally for arrested anarchists in Spain (USA)

November 9th, 2015

Updated: Here’s the reportback.

Almost a year ago, the Spanish State began a campaign of repression against anarchists, arresting dozens, including nine in late October, and five more in November of this year. Their imprisonment is justified with the invention of a fictional terrorist group, the GAC-FAI-IRF. No attack has ever been claimed with this set of acronyms, and the GAC (Coordinated Anarchist Groups) are only the authors of a recent book, Contra la Democracia (eerily similar to the Tarnac Affair and The Coming Insurrection in France, 2008).

On Saturday we will rally in solidarity with those arrested, at 6:00pm at the corner of E Lake St & Minnehaha Ave in Minneapolis.

La Meziere, Ille-et-Vilaine: The poisoner Monsanto burns, yay! (France)

November 9th, 2015

Monsanto situated near Rennes (Ille-et-Vilaine), in the municipality of La Meziere, a Monsanto research centre was victim of a fire on October 28 around one in the morning. 100 square metres of offices were destroyed by the flames, the rest of the building did not have time to be affected thanks to the very rapid response of about twenty fire fighters. The investigators sent believe it could be a criminal act because the fire had been started in two places. An investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the accident.

This R & D centre of Monsanto has a dozen employees. It specializes in research on the selection of conventional corn seeds for silage, destined for animal feed. The site is no longer functioning. It does not intervene on GMO products in any way, said the director of the Monsanto group in France in Saint-Priest, near Lyon (Rhone).

Santiago: Explosive device placed in the Comisaria de San Miguel (Chile)

November 8th, 2015

From Noticias de la Guerra Social

At dawn on October 29, 2015, anonymous hands placed an explosive device in the 12° Comisaria de San Miguel. The device consisted of a fire extinguisher filled with black powder and it would have been placed around 2am. The bomb was placed near the intersections of Gran Avenida with Alvarez Toledo, close to the court of appeals in San Miguel and the Fiscalía Sur [Prosecutors of the Southern district], precisely at the gate of the police barracks.

Police bastards who were on duty at the police station noticed a suspicious bag in the police station perimeter, activating all security protocol.

To the place came the GOPE [Grupo de Operaciones Policiales Especiales / Police Special Operations Group] who managed to remove the device without it detonating, then they took it to their offices in Cerrillos to analyze it. Finally Renato Avellao, that bastard Colonel of this putrid institution stated: “There are security cameras throughout the environment of the barracks and it is through these images we will detect which person left the bag with the extinguisher on the side of the unit. It was in the hours of the morning.”

Solidarity to the fight of the Lumad people (Philippines)

November 8th, 2015

We are currently supporting a campaign of the Lumad, an indigenous people who are victimized by atrocities of three institutions : the corporations, government military/para-military and left-wing insurgents (New People’s Army – NPA).

Our call is:

The Lumad comprise the indigenous people living in Southern Mindanao. They have become refugees in different parts of the country as they flee from escalating violence, rape and harassment.

Asia Indigenous Peoples Pact (AIPP)
Public Statement

4 September 2015
– AIPP strongly condemns the continued brutal killings of Lumads in Mindanao of the Philippines at the hands of paramilitary groups and security forces. At least 13 Lumad human rights defenders and community members, including two children, have been killed in five incidents of extrajudicial killings and four massacres in the past eight months, with the recent killings of Emerito Samarca, Executive Director of a tribal school, and two other Lumad leaders in Surigao del Sur on 1 September. In the aftermath of the killings, more than 4000 Lumads evacuated to a neighboring village due to fear for their safety, and schools have been closed down. Read the rest of this entry »

War against ISIS/Daesh: Respect to the fallen fighter John Gallagher of YPG (Rojava, Syria)

November 7th, 2015

John Gallagher, the Canadian volunteer YPG fighter, is an internationalist hero who gave his life for a noble cause. He left behind a grieving family, and a world in gratitude for his bravery and sacrifice.

Why the War in Kurdistan Matters

First, let me get the obvious out of the way: I do not expect anyone to agree that it is a wise course of action to volunteer to fight against ISIS. Would-be terrorists from all over the world, including Canada, (including some I probably went to school with,) are flooding into the Middle East by the thousands. They’ve got the numbers and the weapons to win this war, so to go stand on the other side of the battlefield is objectively insane.

I also respect the viewpoint that the last thing any westerners ought to do is get involved in another Middle Eastern conflict. We’ve already done tremendous damage to the region; the rise of ISIS is a direct result of foreign policy blunders by the last two Presidents (at least!). If you think that for the good of the region we should all sit this one out, I can understand that. But I can’t agree.

The cause of a free and independent Kurdistan is important enough to be worth fighting for all on its own. The Kurdish people are the largest ethnicity in the world without a country of their own, and have suffered enormously under the boot-heel of regional powers. Now they are under threat from another genocidal foe, yet they have not given themselves over to the joint manias of religious fanaticism and suicide murder. This should be enough reason for the West to give them whatever support they need in such a time of crisis. But there is an even better reason. Read the rest of this entry »

Anarchist Black Cross Solidarity Fund (Italy)

November 7th, 2015

via crocenera & actforfreedom:

As already announced in the first meetings for the presentation of the Anarchist Black Cross editorial project, besides the contribution made with information and discussions through the paper and the blog, we’ve been proposing the creation of a solidarity fund for anarchist prisoners, as we want to give economic support to those who fall into the tangles of repression of which they are active conscious enemies.

We’ve now done it and created the fund.

Anarchists are intrinsically reluctant to all political categorization, they are anti-political by nature and therefore shouldn’t be referred to as political prisoners. At the same time, anarchists end up in prison on the grounds of ideas, actions and behaviour that are the result of ethical, political and existential awareness. Painful awareness, intellectual conscience, joyous revolt and any other mixtures of feelings, actions and knowledge, is a natural process that leads us to be informed, alert and critical towards certain trajectories of struggle and repression. London: Report of action against Police base on Blackstock Road (UK)

November 6th, 2015

Anonymous Submission

Last night a Metropolitan Police Safer Neighbourhoods Team base on Blackstock Road was targeted in response to a wave of police violence and control in Hackney and larger London. Pigs are frisking us on our estates; assisting in the eviction of our family and friends; containing and violently suppressing our protests and everyday resistance. Armed with public order sections and counter-terrorism legislation, they criminalise our communities and cultures.

At yesterday’s Million Mask March and the Free Education demonstration the day before, the Met police excelled in invasive repression and control. Riot cops attempted for hours to put a baton over the head of central London protest; but our resistance cannot be contained to designated protest zones. All around London, lines of social conflict are marked. Where the ground is ours, resistance is on our terms, at our times and outside their enforced zones.

Resistance to police control is as permanent as it is necessary. There is always a police car burning. In Lambeth, Southwark and Hackney, pigs feel blows from their own batons. A family is refusing to be evicted from their council flat; a firework is hitting a pig van on patrol; a mob of people are pulling someone from the grips of Met officers.

Everywhere we are creating our own lines of social war and resistance.
Violence and sabotage is ours and we will continue to use it.

Police attacked, vehicle in flames, clashes and arrests in London 5 Nov demo (UK)

November 6th, 2015

Thousands of angry demonstrators, a riotous carnival atmosphere and edgy embattled police lead to scenes of disorder and chaos in London last night as the Million Mask March called by Anonymous took place in Westminster. 50 people were arrested by cops on various charges related to the demo, including 3 men who were accused of carrying knives, lock picks, gas canisters, plus smoke and paint grenades; they remain imprisoned at this time.

Several police were injured, although only slightly, including a police horse. Fireworks were used to great effect against the police horses, causing them to startle and flee from the line, one police officer was thrown from his horse and injured in a fight with demonstrators outside Buckingham Palace.

A police car on Queen Anne’s Gate, near the Ministry of Justice was burned, as roving breakaway groups of anarchists and activists spread the chaos across the elite districts of power.

They should have expected us.

Never forgive – Never forget.

Operation Ice: New repressive strike in Madrid (Spain)

November 5th, 2015

If last week we awoke to 9 comrades arrested in Barcelona and Manresa, of which one has to stay in prison [Enrique Costoya Allegue] and the rest have been released pending trial in an extension of Operation Pandora, and the extension of preventive prison to Mónica and Francisco, yesterday, November 4, we awoke to a new beat. In this case, Operation Ice in which they have been arrested 5 companions of the collective Straight Edge Madrid. Again the state hits.

The allegations, belonging to a criminal organization with terrorist aims, damages and apology of terrorism.

The henchmen of the Information Brigade of the National Police say they have found material for making explosives, gunpowder and bomb-making manuals.

It alleges them responsible for the attack with incendiary devices against four bank branches in Madrid as well as other actions in Barcelona. In addition, as has become customary, they are accused of relations with GAC (Grupos Anarquistas Coordinados) – coordinated anarchist groups.

In this case, they have seized documents and propaganda concerning Anarchist groups, for them a confirmation of their coordinated relationship with them, referring specifically to the comrades arrested last March 30 in Operation Piñata.

So it goes in the Spanish state, operation after operation still beating us.
But whatever they do they will not get us to stop fighting.

Freedom for anarchist prisoners!
Solidarity with the repressed!
Innocent or guilty, just anarchists!

Death to the state and long live anarchy!!!!!

Unfortunately, due to technical problems, we could only record the first part of the presentation where Kate talks about her experiences.
The presentation was held in English.

November 4th, 2015

Some anarchist individuals take the initiative to get these posters out in solidarity with our arrested comrades in the latest blow, Pandora II, and Monica and Francis, whom the Spanish government has extended the detention for another two years. The idea was to get them out in different languages so that solidarity will spread across borders. The posters are ready to download and print. Let’s cover your walls with our solidarity!

If they search for us door to door, we will resist them shoulder to shoulder!

Neither innocent nor guilty, just anarchists!

Statement from the 9 anarchist comrades released from detention (Spain, Catalunya)

November 4th, 2015

via Publicacion Refractario & Insurrection News:

On Wednesday October 28 nine of us were arrested in connection with a new anti-terrorist operation orchestrated by the Catalan Regional Police in collusion with court number 3 of the Spanish National Court. After the ransacking and looting of our homes and the Libertarian Ateneo de Sants (an anarchist social center in Sants) we were taken to different police stations on the outskirts of Barcelona. The next day we were delivered to the Civil Guard and transferred to Madrid. On Friday at noon we were brought before Judge Juan Pablo Gonzalez. The judge ordered two of us to be released with charges, 6 of us to be bailed upon payment of a bail surety and unconditional imprisonment for our comrade who is currently locked up in Soto del Real prison.

We the detainees who at present are back on the street wish to make a series of reflections and political positions:

The generic accusation against all 9 of us is “belonging to a criminal organization with terrorist aims.” Specifically we are charged with being part of ‘GAC-FAI-IRF,’ which as we all know is a concept that has been constructed by the police. A set of acronyms which they have quite calculatedly mixed together – the coordination of anarchist collectives (GAC) along with the ‘signature’ used internationally by some groups to claim acts of sabotage (FAI-IRF).

The construction of this organizational framework gives the police all of the repressive
resources that the anti-terrorism laws provide: closed courts, greater legal uncertainty, much tougher sentences for comrades convicted of carrying out certain actions, isolation, special prison regimes, the criminalization of personal friendships / partners and relatives, amplified media coverage and social stigmatization etc. It is enough to say that during the whole process of our detention – from the moment we saw our homes being invaded and looted right up until we were brought before the judge – we did not even know what we were being accused of. “Assillo” is back – Squatting in Trento (Italy)

November 3rd, 2015

PDF : Assillo Text

On the 24th of October we squatted a building in Trento, Italy.
We need places to live differently and and where we can organize ourselves.
The demonstration that those are not only our needs is proved by many and many people who joined the experience of the “Assillo” and “Villa Assillo”, places left empty for years that started to live again for months before the police came and evicted us destroying the roofs – because police fear our will to manage our own lives.
We are stubborn. We view our passions as real because we believe in their reality.
Without the struggles that put brakes on it, the Power is walking on million of people’s lives with a roadroller, every day more precarious, more isolated, more senseless. Read the rest of this entry »
