Nikos Romanos: Liberating Journeys of Attack (Greece)

November 15th, 2014

via contrainfo:

The following text is intended to be the continuation of a dialogue on the tools of anarchist insurgency and the ways of organizing ourselves; a dialogue that was initiated at an international anarchist encounter somewhere in the countryside of France and now continues from a prison cell in Greece.

The opinions expressed here are my own personal views, so it should be clear that they promote a particular position on the issue. However it is not desired to have one position prevail over all the others; what matters is how the various different, yet complementary, points of view communicate and interact with each other. In the face of an enemy that’s very flexible as regards the use and multitude of means and forms of attack, the diversity of considerations and practices on the part of anarchists is self-evident. Whichever different perspectives cannot be promoted dogmatically but rather based on a rationale of multifaceted attack.

First we need to talk about the very concept of organization, a word quite misunderstood in anarchist circles.

We face an enemy with complex and complicated functions. One of the main characteristics that make the enemy powerful is the constant evolution and organization of the social paranoia we are experiencing today: a technological, military, architectural, civil, industrial, economic, scientific organization. Every aspect of this world is being organized, constantly correcting its imperfections through an intelligent system which has a great number of servants. Read the rest of this entry »

Anti-Pipeline Graffiti Raid Update: VPD claiming $500,000 in damages not including graffiti (Canada)

November 15th, 2014

by indyvan, Vancouver Media Coop

On June 3rd, 2014, Vancouver Police staged a “guns-drawn” raid against a house of known indigenous and anarchist opponents to the energy policies of the central government and its corporate sponsors.

The ostensible reason for the raid was given as the search for graffiti materials believed to be tied to an ongoing “no pipelines” tagging campaign. One person was arrested, but released without charges or conditions.

The Vancouver Police Department returned on June 12 at around 9am with a warrant to take a DNA blood sample from the accused. The accused was again released without charges. There has been no info on the result of the DNA blood sample nearly 5 months after. Read the rest of this entry »

November 8th, 2014

Dear friends! We ask you to support Ilya Romanov, Russian anarchist accused of ‘terrorism’, who has already spent a year in prison. ABC-Moscow included him in the list of anarchist political prisoners.

On 26 October 2013 46-year-old anarchist Ilya Romanov was wounded in the city of Nizhnii Novgorod. The explosion which occurred late at night severely injured his left hand and burned his face. Ilya was taken to hospital where doctors amputated his arm. Romanov explained to the police that he unwarily used a pyrotechnic device. In December 2013 Romanov was charged with Article 205 and Article 30 of the Criminal Code of Russian Federation (“attempt to commit a terrorist attack”). Read the rest of this entry »

Letter by anarchist prisoner P. Michalakoglou from Nigrita prisons (Greece)

November 4th, 2014

Inter Arma received and translated:

Monday, October 13, 2014

At 5.30 in the morning while I was sleeping in my cell at the basement of the F wing of Korydallos prison, along with the unjustifiably detained comrade and friend M.B., I hear someone calling my surname. I wake up and see the wing’s people-guard saying: “Transfer”. I angrily ask again: “What transfer?” and he responds “Emergency transfer” showing me a paper with names among which only mine was written with a pen. Once more I realize that the war continues inside the prisons. Then they took me alone in the so called fridge -”waiting area”- without knowing the prison I was being transferred to. Four hours later another people-guard calls me and shows to me the paper for my transfer to Nigritas prison in Serres. Read the rest of this entry »

Ávila prison: Words from comrade Mónica Caballero (Spain)

November 4th, 2014

The State calls its own violence Law; that of the individual crime. Lawbreaking, then – so the individual’s violence is called; and only by crime does he break the State’s violence when he thinks that the State is not above him, but rather he is above the State.Max Stirner

These days, almost 10 months since my incarceration in the prisons of the Spanish State, I needed to give out these words to you dear comrades, who struggle for the abolition of every authority and the integral development of every individual.

Today, at the security level, anarchism is one of the major concerns of many Western (and some Eastern) States; in this witch-hunt aimed at informal antiauthoritarians anything goes, this repressive hysteria is inherent in the conquest of total liberation, it is as old as the acratist ideas. Therefore, a momentary or prolonged visit to one of the placid monuments of human extermination awaits all those who try to confront or simply question the prevailing order. Thessaloniki: Claim of responsibility for a bank arson (Greece)

November 4th, 2014

Act for freedom now! receives:

When the enemy seems to be standing up well and uses all means to crash anything opposite, then the attack towards him, his symbols and infrastructures is the only way. Wherever we look we see various types of authority, either called cop, judge either called school, bank, church, prison. Institutions of a rotten system that every day remind us that we are not free. Their real value will be shown with their destruction and through ashes and wreckage their beauty will be shown. No more compromises fit here right now. Their place should be taken over by determination and continuous struggle.

In the undeclared war which is taking place, when there isn’t direct usage of weapons, then other means are mobilised in order to hit the mind and the soul of every unrepentant revolutionary.

The new high security prisons are aiming right at that, his extermination. When its their turn, judges and prosecutors give revengeful long sentences. Prosecutor Olga Smirli confirmed her role at the trial for the ATE bank (now Pireaus Bank) in Pyrgetos Larisa giving away 16 years to G.NAXAKIS and G.SARAFOUDIS, with the only evidence being their political identity.

Either the two comrades participated in the robbery, either not, we are with them and we dedicate them the attack on Pireaus Bank on the early hours of the 10th of September in Sykies, Thessaloniki. This act is a small sign of solidarity and a message that everything continues…

Lets fight, everyone in their own way, forcefully, with the means that they have, till the end, until total liberation.

Comunicado de Sabotaje a Laboratorios de Biotecnologìa : 28-10-2014 (Chile)

November 3rd, 2014

November 3rd, 2014

English translation via War on Society.

Nazis threaten to destroy Rote Flora, Hamburg. Antifascists call for mobilization – 15th November (Germany)

October 31st, 2014

From squat.net:

After the Nazis’ show of force last Sunday in Cologne, largely tolerated by the police’s repression of antifascists’ counter-demonstration, the Nazis and their football hooligans are planning “a revolution” on November 9 in Berlin, and attacks against Rote Flora autonomous social center in Hamburg during another demonstration on November 15. They plan similar demo in Wuppertal this weekend.

On November 9 in Berlin, Nazis plan to gather in front of the Reichstag to start “a revolution” for white Europe. They choose this date because it’s the commemoration of the Kristallnacht, the pogroms against Jews in Austria and Germany on the night of 9/10 in November 1938. The terror inflicted on the Jewish population by the SA paramilitary assisted by the local population marked the beginning of the state’s policy of exterminating the Jewish population of Europe. Reflections on the advance of repression in Chile and solidarity with Juan, Nataly and Guillermo ($hile)

October 30th, 2014

325 receives and transmits this translation from Sin Banderas Ni Fronteras:

Action and solidarity are urgent. All the rest are excuses.

1. And there we go again. Because the war continues.

After an accumulative cycle of street agitation, mass mobilisations and expansion of social conflicts in Chile, power has tried to generate mechanisms favouring the continuity and the reinforcement of the model of democratic domination.

The government on duty has used various tactics allowing to
progressively nullify the discontent so as to avoid the cracks in the questioned social order to spread or become deeper. The mass mobilisations which questioned the economic and social model produced in dictatorship were answered by proposals of social reform recuperating the slogans of the protest movements, including them as part of the solutions configured from out of the State. The critiques against the “political elite” were answered by “opening up” the parliamentary rooms for social and student leaders. The critiques against the “old politics behind closed doors” were answered by organizing round tables of dialogue with citizens’ organisations as to co-opt the demands and strengthen the democratic and participatory image of the State. These things were implemented together with other measures trying to broaden social consensus, weaken the questioning of the dominant order and secure a new cycle of the country’s governability. 1 Nov: global rally for Kobane, against ISIS (London/World)

October 28th, 2014

Update October 30, 2014

Demo at Turkish capitalists’ Savoy ball (London)

October 28th, 2014

October 28, 2014

From rabbleldn:

About 50 people made a solidarity demo for Kobane at the Savoy Hotel from 6pm on Saturday 25 October. The Turkey Britain Chamber of Commerce and Industry were holding their annual ball, attended by the ambassador and deputy economy minister, and sponsored by global bank HSBC.

The demo was a good mix of London anarchists and antifascists alongside Kurdish youth, and other autonomous groups and individuals. There were no cops there initially, and the demonstrators took over the private road off the Strand that leads into the hotel, blocking all the main entrances with banners and making a lot of noise. Chants included “We are Kobane, Kobane is us”, “Alerta, Alerta, Antifascista”, “No Pasaran”, “Who supports ISIS, Turkey supports ISIS”, etc.

The demo didn’t shut the “ISIS business dinner” down, but gave a bit of a shake-up to the bourgeois ball-goers and seemed like a major embarassment to the Savoy hotel management. More importantly, it was a show of solidarity with the fighters in Rojava, and with the Kurdish and Turkish youth who have been going up against the guns of the Turkish state.

The police didn’t arrive for half an hour or more, then rocked up with five or so vans full. They managed to clear the private road and threatened the crowd with some kind of “public order” notices.

The ambassador and minister were not spotted, but presumably came in through a side entrance or otherwise, they were due to make speeches from 7.30PM. Guests had also been promised a chocolate fountain.

Comrade killed by police defending the wetland of Testet (ZAD, France)

October 28th, 2014

From rabbleldn, reposted from squat.net and contrainfo:

According to a statement from squatters in the ZAD (occupied “zone to be defended”) of Notre-Dame-des-Landes, during the night between Saturday and Sunday the 26th of October 2014 a protester named Remi was killed in clashes that broke out after a rally against the construction of a dam along the Sivens forest in the wetland of Testet in the Tarn department (southern France).

Around 7000 people gathered in the ZAD (zone to be defended) of Testet, after months of police attacks and destruction of the wetland and habitations of those who defend the area. In the late evening and overnight, dozens of people attacked the forces of order that were protecting the dam construction site. Activists expressed their anger trying to delay the resumption of works, originally scheduled for Monday the 27th of October.

The cops fired rubber bullets (known as flash-balls), distraction devices such as stun hand grenades and fragmentation grenades, and tear gases. According to testimonies of protesters from the Testet wetland area, Remi must have collapsed after being hit with a grenade; then his body was reportedly taken by the repressive forces.

Prefectural authorities stated they did not want to comment on the matter before the official autopsy was made public on Monday. The government has already begun to stigmatize the protesters, in addition to trying to divide them in order to cover up what happened. But they know very well that, whatever they do, this death will have explosive consequences.

Incendiary Attack at Golden Dawn’s “Bristol” café in Athens (Greece)

October 28th, 2014

325 receives and transmits this report:

The early hours of October 24th, we hit “Bristol” bar in Davaki Street, Ampelokipous with an incendiary device. This specific shop belongs to a well known member of Golden Dawn who was also a candidate in the local elections, Christos Zervas, and it is one of the Golden Dawn’s deputies and other fascists’ hangout.

This action is devoted to the memory of Pavlos Fyssas, of Shehzad Luqman and the other innumerable immigrants who were victims of state violence, expressed in the sea and land borders.

We carry on the antifascist struggle in the streets and in the squares and we wait nothing from the state “antifascism” and its fellow travelers, they are our enemies instead.

We don’t forget the struggle’s imprisoned and prosecuted ones.

Preventative arrests, persecutions and torture will not go unanswered.
