Anarchist Mario López released from pretrial detention (Mexico)

December 29th, 2012

On December 29th, at about 1am, our comrade Mario López ‘Tripa’ hit the streets again. With the help of solidarians, Mario paid the bail that was set for his release, so he will now await trial in ‘freedom’.

Thanks so much to all those who, one way or another, have supported this struggle. We still need to take many comrades out of prisons. Freedom for Braulio Duran, who is remanded in León!

Down with the walls of prisons!
Strength to all comrades who are imprisoned or on the run!
LONG LIVE ANARCHY!

‘In any case, no regret’ by RadioAzione (Italy)

December 25th, 2012

In recent months, in spite of countless investigations and trials against a great number of anarchist comrades all over the world, solidarity with imprisoned comrades has made remarkable progress everywhere. Solidarity weeks and actions have been following one another for months and “solidarity” is increasingly becoming something more than a written word.

Not only has the informal FAI expressed their solidarity through an uproar of explosive powder but also many other groups, at times set up only for the occasion, have done so… through the heat of fire that burnt numerous symbols and pillars of State-Capital all over the world. However, as far as Italy is concerned, this roar is not being exposed openly, on the contrary, papers, websites and blogs are keeping it hidden or are overshadowing it. Perhaps this is due to fear of being involved in future investigations or due to other reasons… perhaps it is better to talk about ‘distant’ or ‘more presentable’ struggles rather than being committed to spreading communiqués, claims and actions concerning one’s own country. Some of the imprisoned comrades are receiving open support, whereas others are kept at a distance because they are considered ‘pests’.

As far as RadioAzione is concerned, we prefer to give solidarity to all the comrades, even those who don’t have affinity with us, and complicity to few of them without fearing of getting ‘polluted’.
If one thinks one is risking less if one only talks about less radical struggles, this is wrong (consider for example the heavy sentences inflicted for the Genoa G8 or the months in prison or under house arrest for the demos against the TAV).

In June the ‘Ardire’ investigation carried out by the prosecution of Perugia led to the arrest of many comrades. The goals of this investigation were two-fold:

- To prevent Marco Camenisch from being released and to make Gabriel Pombo da Silva’s transfer more difficult to be achieved.

- To silence with imprisonment those who had given voice to actions and communiqués in their blogs.

Needless to say, various public prosecutors invent a number of fanciful details in order to make ordinances of remand in custody effective: this is a well known practice and, honestly, those who are writing these lines are not interested in dwelling on this aspect or examine the thesis of our hangmen.
What we are interested in, is never taking a single step back but always one forward! Up to a few months ago the blog of RadioAzione was being updated but not as regularly as it is now. The Dirette d’Azione had no regular updating but viewers could know the date and time of broadcasting. In particular, the operation ‘Ardire’ has made it necessary to change our plans for both the blog and the radio. Among great difficulties we are trying to keep the blog updated every day and at the same time we are trying to keep in touch with many comrades all over the world. Live programmes (Dirette d’Azione) have been broadcast twice for a couple of weeks, in the same days and at the same time.

The most important thing for those involved in this project is to give voice to the imprisoned comrades (with affinity pieces of writing) and to direct actions and claims, to the face of some ‘Comodi-no’ [Comodi is the public prosecutor of operation ‘Ardire’; comodino means ‘bedside table’, TN] which would like to become ‘Comò’ [which means ‘chest of drawers’, TN], but which in the end will turn to a shoe racks full of shoes ready to kick her arse [Comodi is a woman prosecutor, TN].

RadioAzione, therefore, will continue to give voice to radical struggles against the existent, without problems or worries. Prison, house arrest and investigations didn’t manage to affect my ideas… let alone the ‘threat’ of possible incoming investigations.

And what if this should happen? Since I realized what I want, I have always remembered a sentence: ‘In any case, no regret’.

Solidarity with all the imprisoned comrades all over the world! Complicity with a few of them! Fire to all prisons! Freedom for all! For insurrection, for anarchy!

Freedom and Solidarity to Marie Mason on her 51st Birthday (USA)

December 23rd, 2012

Marie Mason is an eco-prisoner condemned with a long prison punishment by the American regime.

Marie Mason’s 51st birthday is coming up on January 26, 2013. We are asking that folks hold events for Marie around her birthday as part of what will be an annual time to celebrate her life and keep her spirits up while she remains imprisoned.

We know that the mid-winter holidays are a busy time for everyone, but they are a sad time for the prisoners who remain inside – and everyone wants some cheer on their birthday! So we hope that folks can find time to plan a small event for Marie, such as a letter-writing or birthday party. (If time permits, we recommend that you might want to hold letter writings a week or more earlier so the cards can reach her before the 26th.) Read the rest of this entry »

Announcement of Athens IMC collective, 22.12.2012 (Greece)

December 23rd, 2012

via contrainfo:

On Thursday, December 20th, 2012 Nikos Stavrakakis, president of the POSDEP (the so-called Pan-Hellenic Federation of University Professors–Researchers’ Associations), made sobbing statements about the occurrence of violence inside Greece’s faculties, asking the State to wipe away any occupied space in universities but also to get rid of Indymedia Athens. These statements were made under the pretext of two incidents at the National Technical University of Athens (Metsovio) and the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Aristotelio), incidents which are not connected with each other and have obviously no relation whatsoever with the administration crew of Athens IMC. Athens: Responsibility claim for sabotage against 14 bank ATMs on the 6th of December (Greece)

December 23rd, 2012

via contrainfo

December 21st, 2012
“When praxis meets theory…”

Four years later, murders, tortures, imprisonments and prosecutions of fighters are continued at the hands of the State.

State repression unfolds itself in all its glory, from the daily 8pm news bulletins to the streets where cops prevail.

Fascism is alive and being fed by the daggers of neo-Nazis but also behind the closed doors of house apartments-cages, where the greatness of the sacred ‘family’ institution reaches manhood.

The society doesn’t want to know, doesn’t want to remember.

Four years after the December insurgency, the fire still burns.

On Thursday the 6th of December 2012, in the early morning hours, we sabotaged 14 bank ATMs in the Athens districts of Gyzi, Alexandras Avenue, Patission and Evelpidon streets, plugging them up with polyurethane foam and pasting stickers on their screen that read ‘Closed due to the 6th of December.’

We choose to take action by creating direct action cells, because we’re among those who are not satisfied with simply lighting candles over headstones.

We break the inertia of an enervated society which is accommodated in its slump. Its rotten carcass shudders hedonically at the idea of getting back the ‘privileges’ of the miserable life it had before the ‘crisis,’ not minding whether the fascists or the Left will give them back.

As for you passive asshole, who got used to the role of spectator, we fuck your normality. There’s neither money nor shopping for you today (after two weeks, some ATMs are still broken down).

Finally, we believe that such actions can be carried out by anyone, as long as there’s determination. The more the state and parastatal violence is increasing, the more counter-violence should be increased.

PS.1: Our entire operation was completed under the cops’ nose; you stupid coppers (baskines) passed three times in front of us and luckily for you, you didn’t stop us.

PS.2: Greetings and love to our four-legged comrade. We thank him very much for his valuable help.

PS.3: Stalinist scumbags of Perissos (headquarters of the Greek ‘communist’ party), you made reference to the events of the December revolt only to use them to your advantage, despite the fact that you had not only been absent but also polemicist to the riots; you shit must know that we don’t buy your lies. We lived in December ’08. We were born and shaped by the insurgency.

Comradely regards and all our solidarity to:

- the Militant Minority

- the Informal Anarchist Federation/International Revolutionary Front (FAI/IRF)

- the Earth Liberation Front (ELF)

- the International Arsonist Union

- the Autonomous Cells/CCF-Russia

- the imprisoned members of the CCF in Greece and anarchist Theofilos Mavropoulos

- all street rascals (alania) that clash with the State and its minions in Chile, Mexico, Greece and all over the world

- all anarchist hostages

- finally, to all those who contribute to translate these texts and spread the word across the globe.

Anarchist prisoners conduct hunger strike in solidarity with Marco Camenisch, who is still held in the Swiss dungeons (Germany & Italy)

December 22nd, 2012

From Contrainfo:

RadioAzione reports that, as of December 15th, imprisoned comrade Gabriel Pombo Da Silva is on hunger strike in solidarity with anarchist Marco Camenisch, who is facing yet another proceeding starting from scratch regarding his just request for conditional release.

Gabriel will be on strike in the prison of Aachen, Germany, until the 21st of December. Then it will be the turn of comrade Elisa Di Bernardo, who is held in the prison of Rebibbia, Italy. She will conduct hunger strike in the week from the 22nd to the 29th of December. A confirmation of a third round is awaited, which will likely include a strike by comrade Sergio Maria Stefani, incarcerated in the prison of Alessandria, Italy.

As Gabriel already suggested, the solidarity strike can be continued even in January 2013, if fellow prisoners are willing and able to participate in this protest for the immediate liberation of Marco.

Elisa (editor of Culmine, along with prisoner Stefano Gabriele Fosco) as well as Sergio are among the eight comrades who have been remanded in custody in the context of ‘Operation Boldness (Ardire)’. The particular anti-anarchist construct was initiated by the Italian State in June 2012, and implicates Marco and Gabriel, too, among others.

To all the comrades outside the prison walls, who want to feel closeness with Marco and other imprisoned anarchists: you do just that; let solidarity with imprisoned comrades shine.

Letters and considerations from Lone Wolf ALF Prisoner of War, Walter Bond… not ‘Abdul Haqq’ (USA)

December 19th, 2012

Walter Bond, the animal liberation fighter who embraced Islam, has dropped the name ‘Abdul Haqq’, and he has written in one of his new letters: “Religion, all religion is a waste of my time! I’m through with it, I don’t believe it and the whole business of it makes me want to fucking puke!”. In this prison letter, and also this one, he publicly talks about rumours, misconceptions and changes of his opinions, and below you can find his reasons why he decided to drop the name ‘Adul Haqq’.

What’s In A Name?

I have decided to drop the name ‘Abdul Haqq’ for the following reasons:

First, religion is not the defining aspect of my struggle, Animal Liberation is. While my spirituality is an Important aspect of my personal life it has nothing to do with the fight for the total freedom of the oppressed. Religion has a terrible track record of persecution of just about every social group one could possibly imagine and I am not here to play apologist to tyranny, in the name of God, or politricks, or consumerism, or any of the other stupid ass reasons people find to justify their bloodlust! Furthermore, the more my own spirituality in mysticism has progressed the more I realize that the institution of religion is poison to my spiritual path. Sufis of the past often had to speak and write their esoteric wisdom in parables and riddles to avoid being murdered by the orthodox regimes of their times, I don’t. And I find the whole business of labeling, and packaging my beliefs and faith under the auspices of this or that religion to be narrowing in and of itself. Read the rest of this entry »

Comrade Eat of the Long-Live Luciano Tortuga Cell – FAI/FRI is free (Indonesia)

December 16th, 2012

“Nothing’s to be preserved. Everything that maintains the status quo and the infrastructure of domination must be destroyed.”

Comrade Eat was released from prison on 14 December after serving a jail term for burning a BRI ATM bank in solidarity with Luciano Tortuga in Chile. As part of his probation the comrade must report to the authorities in Borneo.

Luciano, Billy & Eat all (kind of) free… what beautiful flames, explosions and anarchic-chaotic dreams flew through the nights and days of their imprisonment, upsetting the order across continents.

Dark Nights 29: Considerations on Action and Anarchy – Dec 2012 (ACN)

December 14th, 2012

Download and distribute – December 2012 version of the international anti-prison anarchist freesheet to copy on the fly.

PDF: Dark Nights 29: Considerations on Action and Anarchy

Frontpage article from Italy considers the laming of Ansaldo Nucleare CEO Roberto Adinolfi, the zine also includes letters from imprisoned anarchist comrades, news and a direct action/sabotage round-up. Gabriel Pombo da Silva penned a letter in solidarity with Marco Camenisch this month, Marco is a persecuted eco-anarchist standing firm against the inquisition of nun Manuela Comodi in Italy and the prison authorities of Switzerland. Lastly, but not least, the call for an International Direct Action Week in solidarity with the always unyielding Mario Antonio López ‘Tripa’ from the 15th to the 22nd of December by the Anticivilization Fraction of the Earth Liberation Front in Mexico.

Not forgetting the yearly call for international anti-prison demonstrations and actions on New Years Eve – the time when people are encouraged by the system to spend even more money in consumerist temples and forget their problems through illusions.

Athens: Fighting Minority / Commando Alexandros Grigoropoulos take responsibility for burning the personal cars of ex-minister of Economy and National Defence, Giannos Papandoniou (Greece)

December 14th, 2012

7/12/2012

We claim the responsibility for the incendiary attack at the house of ex-minister of Economy and National Defence, Giannos Papandoniou. We arrived outside the door of his mansion on Olympias street in Kifissia and torched the two cars used by him and his “wife” Roula Kourakou for their meaningless movements. The personal guard the pig has could not ensure the security he seeks. Although our thoughts flirted constantly with the image of the flaming mansion and the terrorized Papandoniou and his “wife” looking for a way out, we had from the beginning eliminated such an idea since inside the mansion is also their young child which we did not want to put in any danger.

Far from a populist rhetoric we identify in the face of Giannos Papandoniou an officer of authority. We are not interested in listing the dodgy things he has done, although he surely has done many. Either way, corrupted or not corrupted, state officers, irrelevantly if they hold their positions in the state mechanism, are a permanent target for the insurrectionist dignities. We carried out our attack on the same night when four years ago cops murdered comrade Alexandros Grigoropoulos. Four years ago and someone left early, a cry of death which detonated the insurrection and the incidents we all know, four years later on the same day, a large fire and a few explosions outside the house of a stated enemy re-ignite our hate and unleash the terror towards the desirable direction. Through personal attacks we desire to burglarize their safe territorial zones in their lives. Their houses, their cars, their prodigal life. Read the rest of this entry »

Solidarity with Alfon, jailed after the pan-European general strike of 14-N (Spain)

December 13th, 2012

Solidarity with Alfon, only one arrested remaining in jail after the paneuropean strike on 14-N: new Spanish political prisoner.

Spain – kingdom of satraps, thieves and butchers. The number of political prisoners rises in Europe. After the first pan-European strike on 14-N there is still one person in jail. It is not a coincidence, as Alfonso Fernandez, Alfon, like his mother, are well know as activists. His detention was not fortuitous, 100m from his home door, accompanied by his girlfriend. Hours of police interrogatories every two hours, tortures and death threats made by hooded terrorists. And as always police manipulation and political interest. The government can’t break his decision to fight, neither of his family. Read the rest of this entry »

Updates and considerations on Nicola and Alfredo’s arrest by Anna Beniamino (Italy)

December 7th, 2012

From RadioAzione – Translated by act for freedom now/B.pd

Nicola Gai and Alfredo Cospito were arrested on September 14 2012 and accused of being the perpetrators of Ansaldo [Nucleare] manager Roberto Adinolfi’s wounding, an action which occurred on May 7 2012 in Genoa and claimed by the Olga FAI/FRI nucleus in the following days. Genoa prosecutors Silvio Franz and Nicola Piacente ordered the arrest with the charge of ‘attack with purposes of murder ‘(art. 280 of the penal code), and justified the demand for remand in custody of the two comrades following investigation results which ‘indicate’ risk of escape and reiteration of the crime (the mere awareness of being investigated becomes here instrumental evidence of guilt, coherence with one’s anarchist principles becomes a sign of dangerousness). New Years Eve: International Anti-Prison Demos & Actions

December 5th, 2012

New-years-eve to the prisons!
Everywhere to the deportation and detention centers!

Noise demonstrations in front of prisons are an ongoing tradition at many places in this world to remember those who are detained by the state. A way to showing solidarity with the people who are imprisoned. In front of prisons and deportation centers, where people are imprisoned who face deportation, who have the wrong or no papers. We come together to break the loneliness and isolation.

This prisonsystem is not reformable because it´s wrong from its whole existence. Here and everywhere.

It doesn’t form “better people” or help to solve social conflicts. The ruling system of competition and inequity detains people and deport them.
On the one hand to get rid of everything “problematic”, on the other hand to frighten those who search desperate for freedom.

Whether humans are imprisoned because of stealing or destroying private property, dodged the fare or flee in fear of prosecution in their homecountry – everything bases on the same cacti: the existing world, defined by the ruling norms telling us what´s wrong and right, what has to be protected and what to be punished.

Laws and rules that where made by a few and under which everyone has to knuckle down. This logic of penalty and detention has to be destroyed.
For us the destruction of all prisons is only possible in a process which overthrows the ruling condition, to create a world without exploitation an oppression.

Wherever you are, meet on new year’s eve at the prisons, to be loud and and to give the idea of a free world without domination an expression in the streets.
We want to use our solidarity and mutual aid to tear down the walls stone by stone.
We want a world without walls and borders.
We will fight together:
until everyone is free!

anarchist and autonomous individuals and groups
