‘The Nihilist Attack’ by Federico Buono (Edizioni Cerbero)

June 18th, 2012

This text was written during the feverish days of my trial for aggravated theft.

I’ve never wanted to know anything about such trial nor did I ask anybody about its result.

In my experience, my way of doing is an attempt to deny the law and live in incertitude. This makes my words even stronger.

I dedicate these words to my affinity comrade Maurizio and to all those who will choose an anti-judicial way in dealing with the investigation set up by nun Manuela Comodi. Read the rest of this entry »

Cell of Revolutionary Action for the Destruction of the State – Autonomous Cells for Immediate Revolution – Praxedis G. Guerrero claim responsibility for sending 2 explosive packages to the Greek embassy (Mexico)

June 16th, 2012

From liberaciontotal, transl waronsociety:

“The struggle against the government turns into, in the final count, the physical and material struggle… The government makes the law… It is thus necessary to prepare oneself morally and materially so that, upon the explosion of the violent revolt, the victory will be the people’s…”
- Errico Malatesta,
“Anarchist Program” (Bologna, July 1920)
in Umanità Nova, August 12, 1920

This physical and moral preparation is a latent necessity that should be present in the everyday of our lives and actions. When the anarchist has at an individual level decided to take a step from talk into daily action, this action acquires in her life a strong sense, a strong importance, a potency that gives way to continue forward and to not look back to yearn for the comfort of her cowardice and ignorance. When an individual or collective project is put on the table, the anarchist feels herself already in the humble necessity of giving everything for this struggle that she has begun, since for her it is not a fashion. Anarchy is life itself, and in her the revolutionary fetishism that sometimes manages to commodify revolt is put aside, it is not important to dress in black, green, blue or yellow, or at least these folklores–personal tastes–do not strongly relate with the strength of her struggle, she does not identify in and with them. It is not important to her to fetishize weapons and guerrilla strategies since she knows well that that this is only an inevitable consequence in the struggle against power; nor even is it important to her to fetishize violence. Railroad sabotage during big capitalist conference in Montreal (Canada)

June 16th, 2012

From Jura Lib:

A major railroad was sabotaged during the evening of Wednesday June 13th, in a farming area near Farnham, Quebec, in response to the call by the CLASSE for a day of nation-wide actions against the Montreal Conference of the International Economic Forum of the Americas.

The train signals system was turned on by sabotaging the electric box that controls the signals near an intersection, which eventually prompted the train traffic to be suspended for a moment. This location was carefully picked up, not only for the easy task it was, but above that for the crucial nature of the merchandise it transports, including a lot of filthy oil coming from the tar sands in the West, before this sole railway divides into different destinations such as Sherbrooke city, Bromont’s techno-park (which hosts some of the biggest names in the high-tech industry, including the infamous IBM) and further down on to New England. New York: About the 1st May and Occupy Wall Street (USA)

June 16th, 2012

From UMF #4: The Real is on the Rise (May 2012):

When we took over the Vietnam Memorial on May 1, we were surrounded.

We were surrounded on all sides by the infrastructure of this world, all that sustains it beyond its expiration like a giant life support system: the buildings that house corporations, the surveillance cameras, the police, the hostile architecture of the park itself, and the highway behind us that carries the cargo –human and otherwise— from point A to point B. The police, to take but one example, were armed on that night not only with the weapons and brutality everyone gets all indignant about, but as importantly they were armed with an incredible amount of foresight, intelligence, preparation, and resources. Administering Fear – About the Bomb of Brindisi (Italy)

June 16th, 2012

Text of a leaflet distributed in Lecce after a heinous event that took place in Brindisi (southern Italy) on 19th May 2012: an explosive device blew up at the entrance of a high school as students were entering the building. A sixteen years old girl, Melissa Bassi, was killed and five others girls were seriously injured (translator’s note).

Among everything said and not said concerning the act of terrorism committed in Brindisi, there was the suggestion of an anarchist link. Being neither cops nor investigators, we are not hunting for the perpetrators, but we do want to firmly state that such an ethically contemptible act certainly has some other paternity. If the use of violence might be necessary for anarchists, it must always bear in mind the coherence that exists between means and ends. Slaying a symbol of power is very different from carrying out massacres of unarmed students. Read the rest of this entry »

Massive international repressive operation ‘Ardire’ launched against anarchists; A statement from Tomo + Prisoner addresses (Italy)

June 14th, 2012

UPDATED WITH PRISONER ADDRESSES – FIRE TO THE STATE

From contra-info:

At 4 o’clock in the morning of June 13th, 2012, the carabiniers of the Special Operations Group (Raggruppamento Operativo Speciale, ROS) raided about forty homes, implementing the so-called ‘operation boldness’ (operazione ardire), a crackdown against people from the anarchist movement ordered by Manuela Comodi, public prosecutor of Perugia. According to the regime’s media, a total of 10 arrest warrants were issued—eight within Italy, one sent to Germany and one sent to Switzerland—while 24 suspects have been put under judicial investigation. The Italian bourgeois Press did not hesitate to connect the arrested with ‘the anarcho-insurrectionist FAI/FRI’. Read the rest of this entry »

John Bowden Writes From HMP Shotts (UK)

June 13th, 2012

From ABC Leeds:

John Bowden writes about his treatment at the hands of a megalomaniac social worker and an all too acquiescent Parole Board. Further articles by John, and others about his current situation and what you can do to help, can be found on the Leeds ABC website.

In June of 2011, the Parole Board for England and Wales finally carried out its statutory obligation to review my continued imprisonment after 32 years of captivity. Its official terms of reference were clear and straightforward; to be reassured that I represented no risk or danger to the public, (the main legal criteria determining whether a life sentence prisoner is safe to be released or not), and that I could be safely managed or supervised in the community beyond prison. John Bowden – Yesterday’s Day of Action (UK)

June 12th, 2012

FREEDOM FOR JOHN BOWDEN AFTER 32 YEARS OF PRISON – SOLIDARITY IS OUR WEAPON AGAINST THE LIES OF SOCIAL WORKER BRENDAN BARNETT – London ABC Demo report

From LEEDS ABC:

Thanks to everyone who took part in the Day of Action in support of John Bowden yesterday. It has undoubtedly had an impact on those who are used to being able to get away with anything completely challenged. The situation with the lying social worker Brendan Barnett is still unresolved however, and the Parole Board seem apathetic at best. John is still in a high security prison 32 years after he went to jail, he needs our continuing support. Please do whatever you can. Read the rest of this entry »

Call for an international mobilization in solidarity with the convicted rioters of Genoa 2001 (Italy)

June 11th, 2012

From informa-azione.info:

On 13th July the last grade of judgment against 10 comrades, convicted for having participated in the clashes occurred in Genoa in 2001 on the occasion of the G8 summit, will be held.

The comrades were given heavy sentences, ranging from 10 to 15 years, by the Court of Genoa and now their imprisonment may become executive.

Ten people are being used as scapegoat: through them, the State wants to attack the hundreds of thousands of people who took to the streets in those days, and particularly those who contributed to unleash the revolt against the arrogance of the Powerful. We won’t accept the reprisal of the State; condemning these comrades means to attack the whole movement. Read the rest of this entry »

Six Imprisoned For Armed Ambush On Police During August 2011 Revolt, Birmingham (UK)

June 9th, 2012

325 receives and transmits:

Nicholas Francis, Tyrone Laidley, Renardo Farrell, Wayne Collins, Jermaine Lewis and Amirul Rehman

These 6 rebels have been locked up by the British state in revenge for the ambush laid for police by a group of roughly 40 rioters in Ashton, Birmingham, during last August’s uprising. The group of rioters, the regime prosecution alleged, had set fire to a pub to draw police to the scene who were then shot at with various firearms, forcing police, including the police helicopter, to flee.

Wigged-up bastard Judge William Davis, summing up after discharging his duties as jailer of enemies of the rich and powerful, declared – “The purpose, the common purpose, was to behave in such a way that the police would come to the scene and then to attack the police.”

Francis, Laidley, Farrell, Collins and Lewis – all young men in their early 20s – were given sentences ranging from 18 years (for Renardo Farrell) to 30 years (for Nicholas Francis), on charges of riot, arson and possession of firearms “with intent to endanger life.” 17-year old Amirul Rehman was sentenced to 12 years.

The 6 young men join thousands of others who rose up in August 2011 that are now held hostage by the British state’s prison system. Strength to those who lift their hands against the oppressors – and we wish all the fighters a quick break to the streets with dignity!!

NO JUSTICE NO PEACE – FUCK THE POLICE!

‘Criminalising Children In The Care System’ by John Bowden (UK)

June 9th, 2012

June 11th Day of Solidarity with long-term prisoner John Bowden called by ABC Leeds.

-

Criminalising the behaviour of working class children and feeding them into the Criminal Justice System is a practice that has existed for generations and is now responsible for Britain having the unenviable reputation of Europe’s worst jailer of children in terms of the numbers imprisoned.

“State raised convicts” form a substantial part of the adult prison population and all share a common genealogy of Children’s Homes, Approved Schools, Borstals and Young Offenders Institutions, and finally the long-term prison system. Many children who through no fault of their own enter the so-called Care System are percentage-wise seriously at risk of graduating into the Criminal Justice System and a life disfigured by institutionalisation and social exclusion. Anarchist and Traditional Fishermen Refuse Coastal Reclamation, 2 People Kidnapped by Police (Indonesia)

June 8th, 2012

Rough translation from Negasi:

Notes from Negasi: Since 2009, the escalation of resistance in Manado Bay against coastal reclamation intensified. Forefront of this action is a traditional fishing area spread over several points along the Gulf coast of Manado. In addition to fishermen on the beach Tumpaan Sario, Kalasey coastal communities and fishermen who are now on the beach Malalayang II also present persistent denial.

May 4, 2012

Since early morning around 08.00 am, fishermen get the news that the forced seizure of land in plots owned by a doctor named Awalui already stretched to the beach. The fishermen are flocking to the site soon discover that the action has the support of the thugs and the police sector of Malalayang. Anarchist Cell for Revolutionary Solidarity FAI/FRI on the recent repression (Bolivia)

June 7th, 2012

Here is news of recent repression in Bolivia, repression which has been aided by “civil anarchist” collaborators calling themselves “platformist anarchists”. Collaborators, cowards, snitches…

1) To the Insurgent Comrades – From Some Wayward Noctilucae FAI/FRI.
2) Anti-authoritarian individuals and collectives against the arrest of anarchist activists.

From culmine, transl waronsociety:

Do you have some decency to at least feel a bit of disgust every morning when you look at yourselves in the mirror? Do you have some blood running in your body that allows you to feel even the least bit of shame at the lowness and infamy of the betrayals committed?

In the recent actions of attack that we carried out, we put special emphasis on vindicating memory and the historical experience of the struggle against power, knowing the histories full of consequence and dignity of irreducible men and women who fought loyal to their convictions until death, learning about bravery, courage, the errors and the small victories, but the struggle against power is replete also with lowness, cowardice and betrayals that we cannot forget. Revolutionary greetings from imprisoned anarchist Marco Camenisch, on the occasion of the event for the Revolutionary Struggle case (Switzerland)

June 7th, 2012

From contra-info:

From Switzerland I send my warmest revolutionary salutes to you, comrades, on the occasion of your event-festival on the 7th and 8th of June in Greece!

The themes of your meeting—history, actuality and perspective of the international social revolution—are of crucial importance and more timely than ever, in these times of irreversible crisis of the dominant system.

Never had been the times so ripe and urgent for the realization and organization of the internationalist struggle towards a social-revolutionary perspective as the only solution to the crisis of the dominant system, and for this purpose the construction of an internationalist revolutionized solidarity is indispensable; these are more than obvious and shareable affirmations of yours, Pola and Nikos, and of a multitude of combatant comrades. Freedom for Andrzej Mazurek, last prisoner of the 2008 Revolt (Greece)

June 3rd, 2012

Click poster for info from Poland

From Anarchist Solidarity + RAF.espiv.net:

At the end of last year we had received news of Andrzej Mazurek’s state of affairs, a Polish man who has been kept in prison since December 2008, he is a prisoner of Greek state (see: 1). Comrades tied with Andrzej Mazurek had already described his situation, but the description was fragmentary and ambiguous. Thanks to Greek anarchists we were able to contact Andrzej himself and ask about many circumstances resulting in his arrest and imprisonment.

Andrzej comes from a small town Nowa Dęba in Podkarpacie, Poland. He left Poland in 2007 because of ilegal issues. He led his life as a working immigrant. On the 6th of December 2008 two policemen, Epaminondas Korkoneas and Wasilios Saraliotis had shot a young anarchist Alexandros Grigoropoulos on one street in Athens. This event resulted in unexpected chain reaction putting together every day experiences of thousands of young Greeks, immigrants and all other groups existing on the margin of “normal life”. The streets of majority of Greek towns were full of anger towards capitalist civilisation of death. This event is even now called the Greek Revolution 2008/2009. Andrzej was not indifferent to police murder showing antagonisms lurking under the surface of capitalist normality. He joined groups fighting against the police and taking back the life-giving space from the city desert. Let’s read what Andrzej has to say about his experiences. Read the rest of this entry »

June 30th – July 2nd: Call for common actions in solidarity with imprisoned anarchists (Belarus)

June 3rd, 2012

From Avtonom:

It has been a long time since the last call for solidarity with the Belarusian anarchists appeared. Today we have to admit that the new wave of solidarity is needed urgently to help them out from the prison. That’s why we call you to participate in days of action in solidarity with Belarusian political prisoners from June 30 to July 2.

The activists Ihar Alinevich, Mikalai Dziadok, Artsiom Prakapenka, Pavel Syramolatau, Aliaksandr Frantskievich, Jauhen Vas’kovich that were detained in Autumn 2010 and Winter 2011 and then sentenced to 3 to 8 years of prison in May 2011 for a series of attacks on state and capital symbols are finishing their second year in jail. During this time their comrades and relatives did their best to help them feel comfortable in custody and set them free. Read the rest of this entry »

Day of Action in Support of John Bowden MON 11th JUNE 2012 (UK)

June 3rd, 2012

From ABC LEEDS:

Day of Action in Support of John Bowden

Monday 11th June

John Bowden is a militant prisoner who has been inside since 1980 (and in fact for most of his life before then). He is serving time for a murder which happened 32 years ago, but John’s two co-defendants have been free for 20 years. John has been writing about, and fighting against, injustice throughout his time behind bars, building up a huge and impressive portfolio of articles about every aspect of the prison struggle. He has paid a heavy price for speaking out though, spending years in the most brutal segregation units, and being targeted for repression time and time again. We do not define John, a good comrade, by the crime he committed 32 years ago, and neither do the State. He is not in jail for what he did then, but for what he has done since. If he did not have anti-authoritarian politics, if he was not a man of integrity who always comes to the defence of his fellow cons, John Bowden would have been out years ago.
