Bristol city council mobile CCTV vans attacked (UK)

Thursday, December 5th, 2013

Communique:

this is for the curtain-twitchers & community-snitchers, “their out there!” bolt your doors, lock up your daughers.

It a lovely sunny day, the last day of november, not long past twelve, the location according to the view-finder is the foot of brunel’s famous bridge, so positioned at smeaton road, hotwells, all that was left as they say”just a little speck of dust on the lense” and the noise of a car-alarm. 3 vans had their windscreens cracked, 2 were mobile cctv vans & the other was a security. This was just a small token for the distaste felt for being constantly watched, that so many people vocalise, but ultimately feel powerless to act,. There will be more actions like this so keep your eyes open, a view to a thrill, you’d think day-time in the city & cctv they’d have our lives sewn-up……..not so, Still chucking rocks in the free world.

Bristol: Arson attack on company who put cctv in schools (UK)

Tuesday, October 23rd, 2012

325 receives and transmits:

last night fire erupted in the tranquillity of bristols well-to-do redland area, targeting a marked vehicle of Standfast Ltd. besides the usual functions that led us to attack a company invested in “security” (as always, securing the sanctity of private property in mass society) one of their many cctv contracts in bristol, bath, avon, somerset and gloucestershire is both state and private schools, where as you can read in the newspapers even the toilets are no escape from the cameras. Inside the surveillance capital of Europe (UK)

Tuesday, May 8th, 2012

From 325 #2 / April 2005
The evolution and spread of the industrial-technological surveillance state in the 7 years since this text was written has been fast-paced and this text is archived here for reference and interest. If an active critique of the totalitarian mechanisms of social control was necessary in 2005, the same critique is even more needed now; against these advancing forms of technical domination and the hierarchical society which demands them. For war against the existent…

-

Britain is full of companies involved in the worst kinds of financial activity, the population is terrorised by government-media campaigns, held captive by aggressive borders, and attacked by violent police who kill with impunity. Behind the ‘democratic’ facade is Empire, enforced by ever more complex means. Every day people are scrutinised under intense surveillance and subjected to the highest levels of consumer propaganda. The authorities are enthusiastic advocates of control technology in all of its guises and have long set the benchmarks for others across the globe. There are an estimated 4.5 million CCTV cameras installed across the country: one per 14 people. This tidal wave of CCTV certainly shows no signs of abating, if anything it is gaining momentum, Britain is on the verge of a Closed-Circuit Television transformation – Companies and researchers are pushing the latest development – Digital, or ‘Smart’ CCTV. Barcelona: Múltiples acciones de Columna de Nihilistas (Catalunya)

Thursday, December 29th, 2011

English translation available here, via war on society.

325 recibe y transmite:

Anarchists Attack Surveillence Industry (UK)

Friday, May 27th, 2011

27 May 2011

“Last night Inside Out Security in New Basford had it’s windows smashed.

We did this because they are responsible for making surveillance equipment that watches us everywhere we go. They are specifically responsible for a large number of CCTV cameras in schools around Nottingham. These cameras in schools further stigmatise and terrorise the young, positioning them as the dangers to each other, training them to become used to being watched, controlling their behaviour and taking away their freedom. Instead of encouraging the young to love and live with wild passion this society is caging them- forcing them into lives not of their choosing.

We want to destroy these companies that profit from the sickness of social surveillance on behalf of capitalism and the state.

We also did this in solidarity with those who resist the G8 and G20 conferences occurring in France this week. While the government leaders from around the world discuss ways to keep their power, we will fight their systems of oppression that are all around us.

So their surveillance is there to protect us? Fuck that. Their cameras exist to make us live in fear, to do as we are told, to make us feel alienated and scared of one another. The surveillance system is there to serve the interests of the rich and protect their property, power and capital.

We see something that destroys our freedom, our relationships with each other and we wish to attack it with the means we have available. So whilst this was a small act of defiance, quickly remedied in part by their insurance, we carry out this act because of the very fact that we search for freedom from all forms of social control. Every time we see similar acts of rebellion, from throwing rocks at cops to the burning of a prison, a smile spreads across our face and recognition that the attack against this society of domination continues. We will continue our participation in this attack, because it is our passion- settling for a life of meaningless subordination is not an option for us, not when all around us are examples of our friends, families and ourselves being continually fucked over by rampant capitalism, and the colluding state.

We must look to each other with love and solidarity.

We must destroy what keeps us apart with rage.

Against the prison society.

For total freedom.”
