From Anti-Fascist Network:
The EDL are marching in Bristol on the 14th of July. The counter-mobilisation is in full swing, so get involved. Now is the time for action.
Come to Templemeads area [main train station] and line the route at 10am on the 14th to give them the welcome they deserve. Stay alert. Stay mobile. Bring your mates. There are many, many ways to show your opposition to the EDL: don’t let them march, don’t give ‘em a lift in your taxi, put posters up in shops, don’t serve them drinks, raise awareness about their farcical attempts to disguise their homophobia, chat to work colleagues, decorate the city…. do whatever you feel comfortable with but now is the time to get a crew together and take action against racism in our city. We want to meet them at the station to stop them marching for any distance. We will resist them wherever they turn and we will be watching them. Let’s defend ourselves against the EDL! Zero tolerance of fascism on our streets.

The North West Infidels (NWI), a splinter group from the English Defence League with links to many other fascist and extreme-right groups, are planning a demonstration in Greater Manchester on Saturday 24 March. We call on all anti-fascists, anti-racists and organised workers to mobilise in opposition to the presence of these fascists on our streets.
We call for a national mobilisation of anti-fascists! (more…)

From Bristol IMC:
Local antifascists took action yesterday [10 March 2012] with a paint attack on The Last Resort skinhead music and clothing stall on Corn Street. This business is run by Chris Pugh, a fascist skinhead and member of the English Defence League, and is being used to provide a platform for racist, fascist ideology under the cover of being “just about the music”. We thought it could do with a bit of an antifascist redecoration. The merchandise got absolutely trashed and we had no trouble from the “tough guy” skinhead behind the stall. While we understand that it will take more than a red and black wash to persuade these bigotted idiots about the error of their ways, we think it’s a good starting contribution to the sort of dialogue we’re prepared for with fascists in Bristol. A data breach has been noticed in the English Defence League organisation. Major details of the organisation’s leaders and members have been revealed.
‘Hackers’ have leaked several details of English Defence League’s leadership. A ‘zine’ which is also known as an ‘archive’ or ‘resource’ has been released by the notorious security organisation ‘TeaMp0isoN’ which they themselves have entitled ‘EDL Leadership Exposed’.

Andrews of Tideswell buses taken out over English Defence League connection (EDL are English nationalists/fascists/’patriots’).
“Last night activists struck at Andrews of Tideswell. This bus company is a known supplier of coaches to the EDL. Eight coaches had their tires slashed, rendering them inoperable for todays protest. This will not be the last such action and we call on others to take up action. The EDL are a distraction from the real challenges facing people, they feed upon the racist, xenophobic culture of the likes of the Daily Mail, promoting a divisive culture of fear. For this reason we took action to stop them.”

RE ACTIVISTS ATTACK ON ANDREW’S OF TIDESWELL BUSES
***REPLY FROM ANDREW’S OF TIDESWELL*** – *** PLEASE READ ***
Prior to August 2010 we had never carried out such work for EDL or any similar organisations. The day before the protest in Bradford we were asked by a third party organiser to cover a park and ride for a church convention because a company had let them down. WE DID NOT KNOW until we arrived in Bradford what was happening by which time it was too late – if we had known we WOULD NOT have taken on this type of work. IT WAS OUR FIRST TIME AND LAST TIME and we sustained thousands of pounds of damage to our vehicles in Bradford.
We are a FAMILY OWNED & RUN, NON-POLITICAL COMPANY – our normal work consists of carrying elderly passengers on holidays and school children to and from school and on school trips.
Our coaches were dangerously damaged on Friday 4th February 2011 – The damage could have caused the death of innocent children or elderly people.
We HAD NOT PLANNED to carry any passengers to the protest in Luton AND WE WILL NOT we be carrying any passengers to protests in the future.
PLEASE URGENTLY PASS THIS INFORMATION TO ALL CONCERNED AS WE DO NOT WISH TO BE INVOLVED OR WRONGLY TARGETED
