via Radioazione / Actforfree:
On 13th June 13 2012, among the many police operations against anarchists, the Italian government launched a repressive attack called ‘Operation Ardire’ on a dozen comrades. There were 40 raids, 24 people under investigation and 8 comrades sent to jail. In this case they tried to give a wider form to the operation, by accusing comrades imprisoned in different European countries such as Greece, Switzerland and Germany.
As usual, the State showed its authoritarian face against its sworn enemies, and fabricated roles of leaders, agents and organizers within yet another ‘terrorist association’, when in fact there were affinities, letter exchanges with prisoners, struggles and claims.
So it happened that Gabriel Pombo da Silva and Marco Camenisch, imprisoned for many years, ended up in this investigation following an international hunger strike carried out in December 2009; they were named as ‘symbols and points of reference of a new subversive project’ of which they would be ‘ideologists and supporters.’ (more…)

Precautionary measures for Alessandro, Giuseppe, Elisa and Stefano,
investigated for “Operation Ardire”, are revoked today 8th April.
We are waiting to know if Sergio is free too, but probably yes.
The investigation is still open for these five comrades.
We will update you.

On January 17, 2014 the preliminary hearing for the case of “Operazione Ardire” was held in Perugia, concerning the Perugia line of the investigation. At the request of the public prosecutor, the nun Manuela Comodi, the charges of terrorist association (270a) has been dropped, while the comrades have been indicted for some specific facts (writing slogans on walls, etc.), which however has been recognized as the aggravating circumstance of terrorism.

The past two days, we have read in various police snitching websites and newspaper columns, targeted leaks by the anti-terrorist agency, which connect Inter Arma with the FAI/IRF”s projects “Phoenix” and “Green Nemesis” and claim that these are all part of the same guerrilla campaign. These specific snitches are known for targeting the comrades who participate in diffusing militant anarchist theory and action. The enemy has long ago realized the role that counter-information and translation projects play in the diffusion of Black International and in the communication between guerrilla formations all around the world. This oppression strategy, is nothing more than a known war tactic· the silencing of the opponent’s transmitters.
Projects like Inter Arma, have been targeted again in the past. We remind you that during “Ardire” operation in Italy, two counter-information projects (Culmine, ParoleArmate) and one publishing project (Edizioni Cerbero) had been hit by repression, a situation which resulted in many of them being pre-trial detained for many months. It is also known that the states of Greece and Italy co-operate against their common inner enemy.
We will not go even an inch back from our positions, nor will we change the nature of our project. We participate in an international network of similar projects and we support militant anarchy’s groups, prisoners and guerrilla cells. We have made our choice and we tend to keep our word.
For New Anarchy and the Black International!

Via informa-azione, BPD
as many of you already know the anarchist blog Culmine was released from prison on September 7 because the period of pre-trail detention had expired.
However it cannot be said that we were freed because they have inflicted restrictions on us: we can’t travel abroad, are compelled to live in our towns and have to report to the police station twice a day. (more…)

Note: This contribution was written by Elisa while she was still locked up in the Rebibbia prison following so-called Operation Ardire. She was released on September 7 and she is now being subjected to restrictive measures.
To be honest (excuse me for the unpleasant word) I’ve never participated in any of the previous meetings for animal liberation. This is the first time I’m expressing my opinion on an occasion of this kind, although I’m locked up in jail.
What I’m about to write is not necessarily linked to a precise and univocal topic related to an agenda, but it is meant as a series of considerations and questions, which share a holistic perspective and an antiauthoritarian way to perceive the existent.
It may seem an inconclusive series of thoughts… do what you want with it, but I want to let you know that the main goal of my short contribution is to demolish some stereotypes and demystify some ‘absolute truths’. And now I’m going freewheel… (more…)

We learn today (8/9/13) that the comrades Stefano Gabriele Fosco and Elisa di Bernardo, arrested June 13, 2012 for the so-called “Operation Boldness” (‘Ardire’) were released today in response to a request to expiry terms. The companions, as well as Giuseppe and Alessandro who were released from prison in mid-June this year, are subject to the obligation of signing and mandatory residence. Sergio at this time remains in custody and he is the last prisoner of this repressive operation.
Solidarity and strength to Sergio!

We regret having to rectify a serious mistake we made when posting up our translation of the interview of imprisoned Culmine blog by anarchist publication Aversión.
Elisa Di Bernardo, one of the two comrades interviewed, has NOT been released from Rebibbia prison as we had believed. In fact Elisa is the only female comrade arrested following ‘Operation Ardire’ who is still in pre-trial detention since June 2012.
We send our apologies, greetings, rage, solidarity and respect to Elisa

Brief Message To The Enemies (Phoenix Project part 5)
We will not talk about “unfair prosecutions”, about “the climate of terror against those who fight”, nor about the “new totalitarian-ism” and things like that. That’s because we know that none of these is new. These are simply snapshots of the ancient war between two incompatible words: on the one side lies the disgusting world of the Authority, of the submissive crowd and of the social cesspit and on the other side, the anarchist insurgents, the insubordinate fighters of the Negative, those who do not bow down to nobody. We will neither talk about the others. The ones who these days feel secretly happy and relieved. Now it’s not the time nor the place to do so. They should bear in mind, however, that the time will come to talk about these things. -
– Freedom To The Wolves of The North
When we said “nothing is over”, it’s not only just words. Our threats will turn into action, time by time, every second we get the chance. And every time, we will bring our actions closer to your face. Directly in front of your guns, uniforms and prison – repressive tools that are often used to kidnap our revolutionary comrades. We will never let you sleep well, because our war is not over yet. (more…)

Interview with Individualist anarchist prisoners Elisa Di Bernardo and Stefano Gabriele Fosco of the blog Culmine (Italy)
Friday, August 23rd, 2013
1 – Aversión: In recent years, for reasons we won’t analyse here, which mainly concern the direction the system is taking, but which affect our ways of relating with one another, blogs and websites have been taking on the task that our publications used to fulfil in the past. In your opinion, how does this affect the struggle and its perception?
– Culmine: We are convinced that we are going through a new era in anarchism. Blogs and websites allow the quick spreading of communiqués, texts and writings all over the planet, and make possible the exchange of ideas and proposals between comrades who will probably never get the chance to meet in person. This is a proper revolution in the relations between anarchists. We are well aware of the limits of this new way of relating considering both the fact that the instrument we use is not neutral, but is run and controlled by the enemy, and the fact that the risks are high, as Culmine demonstrates, even if the latter didn’t choose to stay anonymous. The anarchist blog Culmine was locked up on June 12 2012 also due to its work of counter-information. (more…)

This short text is part of a collection of critical writings in progress concerning “civil anarchism”, as put forth by Venona Q. and Dark Matter publications, which is a response to a statement by the UK Anarchist Federation/Libcom denouncing the non-fatal shooting of CEO Roberto Adinolfi of Ansaldo Nucleare in Genoa, Italy(1). Two anarchist comrades, Nicola Gai and Alfredo Cospito are accused of the action, which was claimed by Olga Cell-FAI/FRI. Solidarity to the accused, who are imprisoned in Ferrara, Italy. This fragment is simply a meandering series of thoughts, the results of a notepad and a rainy afternoon, rather than a ‘manifesto’ or the kind of dry political statement that it is in response to.
I. “By having carried out dozens of attacks against targets of the system, with especially destructive material results, we were and will always be precise. We aim specifically against the institutions and the officers of the system, giving special attention to not injure someone who is not a target to us.” CCF
Violence is neither good nor bad.
It is the State’s basis for it’s domination and consent. Any one who breaks this relationship is usually deemed criminal and/or insane. Any acts used in this transgression are usually deemed “unlawful” or further, “terrorism”. (more…)

‘When actions speak the decision-making power that some leaders of anarchism hold thanks to their charisma displayed in meetings will be disposed of, and the affinity group or the individual of action will regain strength’. (Alfredo Cospito)
Anarchist magazines, papers, websites and blogs should not allow that the only way of spreading information is that of the press and media of the State.
To talk about Sante Caserio, Gaetano Bresci and Severino Di Giovanni, of the current struggles and actions carried out in distant countries becomes nonsense, a cover-up of one’s ass, if one conceals what is happening outside one’s door.
Besides condemning those who gave solidarity to prisoners, one of the goals of operation ‘Ardire’ was to silence counter-information through imprisonment.
Instead, to silence oneself means to create isolation and decide not to risk or expose oneself.
To allow only the information of the jackals-sellers of words hired by the State/capital practically means ‘to collaborate’ in a passive way!

I receive from Stefano the following letter. As I publish it, I want to reconfirm that critiques are always welcome and the ‘assholes’ will suffer the consequences they deserve [This is the premise of RadioAzione]:
I give you all my anarchist and brotherly solidarity following the attack you got from a pseudo-nihilist asshole. There’s no censorship when one decides not to publish a text that attacks a prisoner while the investigation on him is still ongoing.
It must be known that in Italy there is no anti-judicial controversy. There are only assholes playing the same game as repression. (more…)

Note from WOS: It goes without saying that we do not share the analysis of the Europol or of the press that are reported below. What we do consider important is to be aware of international police cooperation. It is also worth mentioning that what follows is a decent summary of recent anarchist action especially in Mexico, and we have added links where they may be helpful.
the press, translated by waronsociety:
Alarm in Europe due to Mexican Anarchists
The European police seem to be more interested in fighting anarchism (which they automatically equate with terrorism) than narco-trafficking. They demonstrate this in a cooperation accord which will soon be negotiated between the European police and the Mexican government, and the report on “terrorist trends in the EU” which is about to be published. A recount of the attacks in Italy and Mexico would explain Europol’s alarm.
BRUSSELS (Proceso) — The police force of the European Union (EU), Europol, intends for the cooperation accord it will negotiate with Enrique Peña Nieto’s government to include the exchange of information about anarchist groups operating in Mexico.
Last October 4th, the EU Cabinet approved Europol’s beginning of accord negotiations with the Mexican government. Its primary–but not sole–component would be the fight against narco-trafficking.
The eventual collaboration of the Mexican and European police against the anarchists (a tendency toward what they automatically qualify as terrorist) would fall within the framework of European politics of fighting terrorism, according to a Europol document dated April 4, 2012 of which Proceso has a copy.
