A few posters in solidarity with the prisoners of Operation Ardire in Italy

operation-ardire-poster-1

via waronsociety

‘When actions speak the decision-making power that some leaders of anarchism hold thanks to their charisma displayed in meetings will be disposed of, and the affinity group or the individual of action will regain strength’.
(Alfredo Cospito)

Anarchist magazines, papers, websites and blogs should not allow that the only way of spreading information is that of the press and media of the State.

To talk about Sante Caserio, Gaetano Bresci and Severino Di Giovanni, of the current struggles and actions carried out in distant countries becomes nonsense, a cover-up of one’s ass, if one conceals what is happening outside one’s door.

Besides condemning those who gave solidarity to prisoners, one of the goals of operation ‘Ardire’ was to silence counter-information through imprisonment.

Instead, to silence oneself means to create isolation and decide not to risk or expose oneself.
To allow only the information of the jackals-sellers of words hired by the State/capital practically means ‘to collaborate’ in a passive way!

SOLIDARITY WITH ALFREDO, NICOLA, SERGIO, ELISA, STEFANO, PEPPE, MARCO, GABRIEL, THE COMRADES IMPRISONED IN GREECE, SPAIN, CHILE, MEXICO, ARGENTINA… AND ALL OVER THE WORLD!

Letter from Stefano Gabriele Fosco to Liberacion Total, Material Anarquista, Publicaciòn Refractario & Viva la Anarquia concerning an anti-judicial non-controversy (Italy)

Wednesday, May 8th, 2013

I receive from Stefano the following letter. As I publish it, I want to reconfirm that critiques are always welcome and the ‘assholes’ will suffer the consequences they deserve [This is the premise of RadioAzione]:

-

To the dear comrades of Liberacion Total, Material Anarquista, Publicaciòn Refractario and Viva la Anarquia.

I give you all my anarchist and brotherly solidarity following the attack you got from a pseudo-nihilist asshole. There’s no censorship when one decides not to publish a text that attacks a prisoner while the investigation on him is still ongoing.

It must be known that in Italy there is no anti-judicial controversy. There are only assholes playing the same game as repression. (more…)

Europol and Mexico to cooperate against anarchist groups

Thursday, May 2nd, 2013

Note from WOS: It goes without saying that we do not share the analysis of the Europol or of the press that are reported below. What we do consider important is to be aware of international police cooperation. It is also worth mentioning that what follows is a decent summary of recent anarchist action especially in Mexico, and we have added links where they may be helpful.

from the press, translated by waronsociety:

Alarm in Europe due to Mexican Anarchists

The European police seem to be more interested in fighting anarchism (which they automatically equate with terrorism) than narco-trafficking. They demonstrate this in a cooperation accord which will soon be negotiated between the European police and the Mexican government, and the report on “terrorist trends in the EU” which is about to be published. A recount of the attacks in Italy and Mexico would explain Europol’s alarm.

BRUSSELS (Proceso) — The police force of the European Union (EU), Europol, intends for the cooperation accord it will negotiate with Enrique Peña Nieto’s government to include the exchange of information about anarchist groups operating in Mexico.

Last October 4th, the EU Cabinet approved Europol’s beginning of accord negotiations with the Mexican government. Its primary–but not sole–component would be the fight against narco-trafficking.

The eventual collaboration of the Mexican and European police against the anarchists (a tendency toward what they automatically qualify as terrorist) would fall within the framework of European politics of fighting terrorism, according to a Europol document dated April 4, 2012 of which Proceso has a copy. Anger Unit / ICR-FAI-IRF torch 3 buildings owned by the Major of Aceh Tamiang, Hamdan Sati (Indonesia)

Wednesday, April 3rd, 2013

We speak through fire. To remember and always keep on our mind, our sisters and brothers who are kidnapped by the state and seized behind bars. To continue the urban guerrilla warfare against enemies of freedom. Let the action speak for us.

On March 31, we burned down 3 buildings owned by the Major of Aceh Tamiang, Hamdan Sati. This is our first action done in Aceh, a region where religious fundamentalists in the past threw 64 punks into a rehabilitation camp and made them ‘normal’. But, we want to clarify that we aren’t Acehnese. We have no citizenship because we are borderless. We are the angry ones who light the fire of freedom.

Solidarity to the imprisoned members of CCF and Th. Mavropoulos, Camenisch, da Silva and Italian comrades arrested during the Ardire, Thor, and Mangifuoco operations and to Cospito and Gai. And last but not least, we salute our fire to comrades of Kozani 4 who were recently arrested.

War continues

Excavator and bulldozer torched in Moscow region during the ongoing Khimki forest struggle (Russia)

Wednesday, March 13th, 2013

During the night of 08/03/13 we placed 3 incendiaries on construction vehicles in a sand extraction complex of Solnechnogorsk district (near Moscow).

The sand from this site goes to the highway construction projects in Khimki forest as well as some other regional development projects. Two vehicles were completely destroyed: a tracked dozer and an excavator.

Because of damp weather one of the devices failed to ignite, so we had to backtrack. With ravaging flames from burning excavator at our backs, we approached the bomb and re-wired it.

Wholehearted support to CCF-Russia, Indonesian rebels from Kulon-Progo, ALF/ELF/FAI groups around the world.
Combative solidarity with “ALF lone wolf” Walter Bond, imprisoned members of Greek CCF, Marco Camenisch and Italian anarchist persecuted under the police operations of 2012 like Thor etc.
Felicity Rider: remain free!
Tortuga: we enjoyed reading your letters man!

Fresh investigation warrant for subversive association – Anna Beniamino (Italy)

Friday, March 8th, 2013

This morning I received the visit of four ugly faces of Genoa ROS [Special Operations Group] and Digos [the political police] and was delivered an investigation warrant for 270bis (participation in a subversive association aiming at committing acts of violence against people, such as Roberto Adinolfi, and institutions, and with purposes of terrorism and subversion of the democratic order) along with the charge of carrying firearms in a public space (an offence confirmed in January 2013). Updates on the anarchist comrades imprisoned following operation ‘Ardire’ (Italy)

Friday, March 8th, 2013

This morning, March 6, anarchists Sergio Maria Stefani, Alessandro Settepani and Stefano Fosco were transferred from the AS2 unit of the prison of Alessandria to the prison of Ferrara. The transfer had been announced yesterday by public prosecutor Maria Grazia Pradella in the context of the Milan proceeding of so called operation ‘Ardire’, and was implemented under the pretext that the comrades were in contact with the investigated comrades of the Adinolfi case (since October 2012 all the comrades had been locked in the same unit and had been sharing the exercise yard). Anarchist comrades Alfredo and Sergio on hunger strike (Italy)

Friday, February 1st, 2013

From RadioAzione via actforfree/B.pd:

From informa-azione.info we learn that two comrades, Alfredo Cospito – arrested following the investigation on the wounding of Ansaldo Nucleare manager Roberto Adinolfi, which occurred in May 2012 in Genoa – and Sergio Maria Stefani – arrested in June following operation ‘Ardire’ – have undertaken a hunger strike. From what we learn from the comrades of informa-azione, the reason for this protest is the refusal by the prison authority to allow visits to Alfredo and Sergio from their respective partners.

Update:

Since Tuesday January 29 comrades Alfredo Cospito and Sergio M. Stefani, imprisoned in the AS2 unit of the prison of Alessandria, have undertaken a hunger strike in order to obtain visits with their respective partners. We remind you that Alfredo has been denied visits with his partner since his arrest on September 14, as they were both investigated in the same case.

Sergio could get visits with his partner, but as she was detained following the same investigation he could only see her after she was released on December 21. He got three visits with her before the investigation passed from the prosecution of Perugia to that of Milan, which decided to deny these visits. There follows a short message with which the comrades make their protest known.

“The world of commodities, techno-industrial society and civilization itself are not based on individuals who are unpredictable and different from one another by their nature, but on the mass made homogenized by education, morals and the law.

In this world any sincere and profound relation becomes suspicious, affinity links are synonym of ‘criminal’ relations, solidarity is reduced to mere execution of orders.

But we refuse to reduce our desires to realism and to domesticate our passions. We live our lives without mediation, without being content and this gives us a smile on our face that never abandons us.

For this reason we cannot accept that anybody tries to cut our relations and we undertake hunger strike anticipating the sweetness of our partners’ embrace.”

‘FAI / ELF New Horizons of Burning Rage’ take responsibility for media sabotage (UK)

Friday, January 4th, 2013

FAI/ELF COMMUNIQUE FOR TV & RADIO BLACKOUT

As part of the ongoing anarchist war for total liberation, we carried out a hit on the Bathampton radio and TV relay station. Fires were set at four points of the structures, and we left undisturbed. As a result of the sabotage, on top of causing hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of damage, we regionally shut down all TV channels on Freeview as well as all national analogue and digital radio stations. Additionally it took down Vodaphone and other mobile networks, damaging police communications and other digital services. 80,000 homes and businesses in the area were affected.

The entertainment industry is an important tool to manipulate human behaviour.
Without a steady supply of distractions it would be much harder to persuade people that their lives are satisfactory, to convince them to keep going to work or in whatever way to reproduce the system. So to deprive the network of the ability to offer this essential means of escape from chronic modern stress, anxiety, frustration and dissatisfaction is to undermine the smooth running of society, however temporarily.

There are many soft targets and many lo-tech methods available for us malcontents who gladly choose conflict over despair. This gives rise to the prospect of rebellion with thousands of faces, with infinite reasons to blockade and destroy whatever stands between us and our goals. We want to experience harmony as a living planet, face to face encounter as intimate circles of proud and free-thinking individuals, and a chance to mould an existence filled with wild play and fierce joy. Our first response when faced with today’s crushing domination and a subservient society will always be outbreaks of disorder, refusal and beauty.

Our comrades from far and wide who also carry this fight share our thoughts so closely that often their words could be ours. So when they are kidnapped and held far away from us our determination is only further fuelled. Following many actions in Italy the state has unleashed a wave of repression against anarchists and their projects (Operations Ardire, Mangiafuoco, Ixodidae, Thor…), some across borders, accusing some of attacks of the FAI (Informal Anarchist Federation) and raising a trophy for the media-judicial circus: Nicola Gai and Alfredo Cospito, who they claim are FAI / Olga Cell. But if the prosecutors thought for one minute that they had dismantled the group even in Italy with their operations, another cell soon proved them wrong with an attack on the banking system in the capital, followed by grid sabotage in Indonesia, gunshots in Mexico, liberations in Russia, bombing in Greece, mass arson in Argentina, to name but a few. The new anarchist guerrillas laugh in the faces of the powerful because the repression is only throwing petrol on the fires of the open leaderless resistance.

We are on the side of everyone who has burnt stuffy textbooks and taken the offensive to reanimate an anarchy that had turned to dust in so many throats. Any rebel’s capture becomes yet another motive to strike, as we have before and will again, as a reminder of the social cost of their imprisonment.

This action carried out eight years to the day since Xosé Tarrio (a dignified prisoner of Spain’s FIES isolation units, against which a series of attacks last decade were later claimed by the first generation of the FAI) died in the cells, leaving his blood on the hands of the jailers, courts and cops.

A communiqué from imprisoned anarchist Elisa, who is undertaking hunger strike in solidarity with Marco Camenisch (Italy)

Sunday, December 30th, 2012

From informa-azione.info - Translation act for freedom now/B.pd

We receive and transmit a communiqué from Elisa, an anarchist comrade imprisoned since June 13 following operation ‘Ardire’.

To all those who don’t stop struggling

6 months after my arrest (‘Operation Ardire’… June 13 2012… Ordinance of the prosecution of Perugia) I announce that I am going to undertake a second round of hunger strike from 22nd December to 29th December. This is a protest for the release of our brother and comrade in the struggle Marco Camenisch. The protest is being carried out by a number of comrades taking turns (besides me and dear comrade Gabriel Pombo da Silva I still don’t know which other comrades are taking part in the protest… here I won’t dwell on organizational difficulties or on the ‘bad tricks’ of censorship).
Is this symbolic hunger strike or is it undertaken to make a claim? I no longer know, I’m no longer interested! (more…)

‘In any case, no regret’ by RadioAzione (Italy)

Tuesday, December 25th, 2012

In recent months, in spite of countless investigations and trials against a great number of anarchist comrades all over the world, solidarity with imprisoned comrades has made remarkable progress everywhere. Solidarity weeks and actions have been following one another for months and “solidarity” is increasingly becoming something more than a written word.

Not only has the informal FAI expressed their solidarity through an uproar of explosive powder but also many other groups, at times set up only for the occasion, have done so… through the heat of fire that burnt numerous symbols and pillars of State-Capital all over the world. However, as far as Italy is concerned, this roar is not being exposed openly, on the contrary, papers, websites and blogs are keeping it hidden or are overshadowing it. Perhaps this is due to fear of being involved in future investigations or due to other reasons… perhaps it is better to talk about ‘distant’ or ‘more presentable’ struggles rather than being committed to spreading communiqués, claims and actions concerning one’s own country. Some of the imprisoned comrades are receiving open support, whereas others are kept at a distance because they are considered ‘pests’.

As far as RadioAzione is concerned, we prefer to give solidarity to all the comrades, even those who don’t have affinity with us, and complicity to few of them without fearing of getting ‘polluted’.
If one thinks one is risking less if one only talks about less radical struggles, this is wrong (consider for example the heavy sentences inflicted for the Genoa G8 or the months in prison or under house arrest for the demos against the TAV).

In June the ‘Ardire’ investigation carried out by the prosecution of Perugia led to the arrest of many comrades. The goals of this investigation were two-fold:

- To prevent Marco Camenisch from being released and to make Gabriel Pombo da Silva’s transfer more difficult to be achieved.

- To silence with imprisonment those who had given voice to actions and communiqués in their blogs.

Needless to say, various public prosecutors invent a number of fanciful details in order to make ordinances of remand in custody effective: this is a well known practice and, honestly, those who are writing these lines are not interested in dwelling on this aspect or examine the thesis of our hangmen.
What we are interested in, is never taking a single step back but always one forward! Up to a few months ago the blog of RadioAzione was being updated but not as regularly as it is now. The Dirette d’Azione had no regular updating but viewers could know the date and time of broadcasting. In particular, the operation ‘Ardire’ has made it necessary to change our plans for both the blog and the radio. Among great difficulties we are trying to keep the blog updated every day and at the same time we are trying to keep in touch with many comrades all over the world. Live programmes (Dirette d’Azione) have been broadcast twice for a couple of weeks, in the same days and at the same time.

The most important thing for those involved in this project is to give voice to the imprisoned comrades (with affinity pieces of writing) and to direct actions and claims, to the face of some ‘Comodi-no’ [Comodi is the public prosecutor of operation ‘Ardire’; comodino means ‘bedside table’, TN] which would like to become ‘Comò’ [which means ‘chest of drawers’, TN], but which in the end will turn to a shoe racks full of shoes ready to kick her arse [Comodi is a woman prosecutor, TN].

RadioAzione, therefore, will continue to give voice to radical struggles against the existent, without problems or worries. Prison, house arrest and investigations didn’t manage to affect my ideas… let alone the ‘threat’ of possible incoming investigations.

And what if this should happen? Since I realized what I want, I have always remembered a sentence: ‘In any case, no regret’.

Solidarity with all the imprisoned comrades all over the world! Complicity with a few of them! Fire to all prisons! Freedom for all! For insurrection, for anarchy!

Anarchist prisoners conduct hunger strike in solidarity with Marco Camenisch, who is still held in the Swiss dungeons (Germany & Italy)

Saturday, December 22nd, 2012

From Contrainfo:

RadioAzione reports that, as of December 15th, imprisoned comrade Gabriel Pombo Da Silva is on hunger strike in solidarity with anarchist Marco Camenisch, who is facing yet another proceeding starting from scratch regarding his just request for conditional release.

Gabriel will be on strike in the prison of Aachen, Germany, until the 21st of December. Then it will be the turn of comrade Elisa Di Bernardo, who is held in the prison of Rebibbia, Italy. She will conduct hunger strike in the week from the 22nd to the 29th of December. A confirmation of a third round is awaited, which will likely include a strike by comrade Sergio Maria Stefani, incarcerated in the prison of Alessandria, Italy.

As Gabriel already suggested, the solidarity strike can be continued even in January 2013, if fellow prisoners are willing and able to participate in this protest for the immediate liberation of Marco.

Elisa (editor of Culmine, along with prisoner Stefano Gabriele Fosco) as well as Sergio are among the eight comrades who have been remanded in custody in the context of ‘Operation Boldness (Ardire)’. The particular anti-anarchist construct was initiated by the Italian State in June 2012, and implicates Marco and Gabriel, too, among others.

To all the comrades outside the prison walls, who want to feel closeness with Marco and other imprisoned anarchists: you do just that; let solidarity with imprisoned comrades shine.

Strength to prisoners in struggle!

PDF: Dark Nights 29: Considerations on Action and Anarchy

Frontpage article from Italy considers the laming of Ansaldo Nucleare CEO Roberto Adinolfi, the zine also includes letters from imprisoned anarchist comrades, news and a direct action/sabotage round-up. Gabriel Pombo da Silva penned a letter in solidarity with Marco Camenisch this month, Marco is a persecuted eco-anarchist standing firm against the inquisition of nun Manuela Comodi in Italy and the prison authorities of Switzerland. Lastly, but not least, the call for an International Direct Action Week in solidarity with the always unyielding Mario Antonio López ‘Tripa’ from the 15th to the 22nd of December by the Anticivilization Fraction of the Earth Liberation Front in Mexico.

Not forgetting the yearly call for international anti-prison demonstrations and actions on New Years Eve – the time when people are encouraged by the system to spend even more money in consumerist temples and forget their problems through illusions.

Updates and considerations on Nicola and Alfredo’s arrest by Anna Beniamino (Italy)

Friday, December 7th, 2012

From RadioAzione – Translated by act for freedom now/B.pd

Nicola Gai and Alfredo Cospito were arrested on September 14 2012 and accused of being the perpetrators of Ansaldo [Nucleare] manager Roberto Adinolfi’s wounding, an action which occurred on May 7 2012 in Genoa and claimed by the Olga FAI/FRI nucleus in the following days. Genoa prosecutors Silvio Franz and Nicola Piacente ordered the arrest with the charge of ‘attack with purposes of murder ‘(art. 280 of the penal code), and justified the demand for remand in custody of the two comrades following investigation results which ‘indicate’ risk of escape and reiteration of the crime (the mere awareness of being investigated becomes here instrumental evidence of guilt, coherence with one’s anarchist principles becomes a sign of dangerousness).
