We received your proposal for the counter-information gathering at your self-organised space on April 12-13, our apologies for not being able to respond sooner about it. Our inability to travel to Thessaloniki at this time meant that we prepared a written contribution to be distributed, whilst some of our circle made their further critical thoughts into another text. So here you’ll find two texts in English, Greek and Italian, which are posted openly in the hope of spreading discussion and action ever further.
Recently we read the text of Alfredo Cospito to the CCF which we found ourselves very much in agreement with, particularly this section:
“Communication cannot but be carried out through action and this is why we do not have to assign it in some way to the professionals of speech. It is vital, of course, that the news and ideas go around the world. It is necessary however that we avoid in any way the transformation into bureaucracy of a procedure that must remain free from the elite of those who specialize in information.”
Always next to and part of the combative anarchist tendency!
Always in memory of Ryo!

Solidarity International Call
AGAINST THE REPRESSION AND THE STATE TERRORIST
SOLIDARITY WITH DELTA SQUAT, WITH ALL THE SQUATS THERE ARE UNDER THREAT AND WITH COMRADE GUSTAVO QUIROGA
After the eviction of Delta squat (Thessaloniki, Greece) at 12/09/2012, 10 comrades were arrested. At the orderly trial which followed all the comrades were convicted, one of them is still detained.
Our comrade Gustavo Quiroga, is in prison since 12/9 and he is under threat of deportation in Colombia, after the manipulations of the state security and the foreigners department. (more…)
Thessaloniki: ‘Now we are all persona non grata’ – Text by an English comrade who was arrested during the raid on Delta squat (Greece)
Monday, September 24th, 2012
Nine of the arrestees in Delta squat’s eviction were set free on bail after the trial, where they made a collective political statement. All defendants were found guilty for diverse misdemeanor charges, received suspended prison sentences (from 3 months to 16 months) and got 3 years probation. The total monetary amount of their bail was 7,950 euros. Till this day, the tenth defendant is still captive, facing the danger of deportation because of police perjury: a cop testified in court that the comrade had a fake passport (which is not true).
One of the ten arrestees wrote and sent us a text on September 22nd, expressing opinions on what happened with the whole farce:
now we are all persona non grata
“I never saw a man who looked
With such a wistful eye
Upon that little tent of blue
Which prisoners call the sky”
– Oscar Wilde, Ballad of Reading Gaol
Comrades, what can I say about the last few days, apart from the theatre of absurdity, need I say anymore? From the first day in a Kafkaesque trial, to the society of the spectacle outside our front door. No one can begin to understand that the junta never disappeared until they have a gun shoved in their face in the early hours of the morning, face banged against the wall, thrown on the floor under a hail of boots stamping, in a pantomime Hollywood event, that brought the facade of Greek democracy falling from the true fascist face. Who did they think they had found, as they entered the building coked-up? Terrorists? No, the real terrorists are those in the parliament who gave the order! (more…)

Monday 2nd of July, 6 a.m
The pogrom operation of the Thessaloniki Police Headquarters begins… Executed by numerous cops of almost all kinds, under the leadership of the ‘State Security Police Department’. The new super-production of the Greek police contains invasions into houses and places where comrades work, as well as a spectacular invasion in Orfanotrofeio Squat and the arrest of people that were arriving in solidarity, from the streets nearby.
With the abstract pretext of investigation, all the arrested we are transferred into the police headquarters where we realize the existence of a ‘list’ of names, based on which some of us are being held and where numerous others names of comrades are being written. (more…)
Thessaloniki: Solidarity gathering outside Diavata Prison for Olga Economidou, imprisoned anarchist of the CCF (Greece)

SOLIDARITY GATHERING OUTSIDE DIAVATA PRISON
This is because of the vindictive prison transfer of Olga Economidou, imprisoned anarchist comrade of the Conspiracy of Cells of Fire, and her detainment in the isolation block of Diavata prison. The action is called by the Assembly for the coordination of solidarity actions in Thessaloniki. Friday 11 May.

Ownership transition of the squat, from the Ministry of Health to the Mitropolis (Head of The Church)
On the 31st of January, a decision made by the ministry of health was posted on the governmental website ‘diavghia’ (transparency), by which is announced the allocation of the squatted Orfanotrofeio to the Holy Mitropolis of Thessaloniki, on the purpose of creating a foundation for long-term patients.
In a period of crisis, while the bosses attack against even wider social parts, having the maximization of their profits as target, in a period that even more people is led to poverty and misery, that the unemployed and the homeless rise in bigger numbers everyday, the state and church start their ‘charity’ engine. Open letter by Philip and Pepe Mayer about the sycophancies and the puplications by some parrots of the state about our sister (Greece)
Tuesday, January 18th, 2011
Update: Fei Meyer was released on provisional liberty following disagreements between the investigating judge and the prosecution and for this reason the board decided after giving her provisional liberty that 15 days later she deserved the prison again. The four other accused comrades were taken to Koridallos prison.
In the early morning of October 13, a van belonging to the Public Power Corporation (DEI) was torched in downtown Thessaloniki using an incendiary device made out of camping gas canisters, gasoline, and a fuse. The vehicle was completely incinerated, but 19-year-old comrade Yiannis Skouloudis was caught red-handed. In addition, four comrades (Babis Tsilianidis, Dimitris Dimtsiadis, Sokratis Tzifkas, Dimitris Fessas) were arrested and accused for the same case and now the anti-terrorist cops have arrested the comrade Fei Mayer.
She is accused for participation in a terrorist group (the name of the group has not yet been decided by the cops). Lawyers or information about what she is accused of is considered a luxury for people arrested in Greece, so she doesn’t have any of these. The mass media come to fill the gap of the not-existing evidence, so they have started to transmit surreal scenarios about their parents being members of RAF and other armed groups in Germany. They also “informed” us that her father was killed during a guerrilla action in Germany! Of course, her father is still alive, maybe he is a bit more insecure after he was informed about his death.
The crime of Fei is solidarity and dignity.
The big game that is being played on the back of our sister and our family. With the trial of the defendants for participation in the organization “Conspiracy Cells of Fire” approaching and the explosion in the Administrative Court building remaining unanswered on the side of arrests, it was expected from the state to try to catch a “big fish” and if it cannot, it manufactures it, so that it recovers its lost prestige and demonstrates its strength. UPDATE: The trial has been postponed until early 2011
Statement of the London Thessaloniki Solidarity Group – September 19th, 2010 version
The solidarity group was formed in 2003 soon after the arrests at the EU summit demonstrations in Thessaloniki.
The entire basis of the arrests in 2003, was and still remains, an arbitrary attack upon the demonstrations, where culpability was placed upon those that the Greek authorities sought to make examples of. From the beginning of the process of detention it was clear that evidence of guilt would not even be based upon recognition of legal facts or evidence but by association. (more…)

14 June 2010
“On 14/06/10 we stormed into a super-market of the chain Masoutis on M.Kyriakou street, we took basic need goods (olive oil, pasta, milk etc.) and destroyed the anti-theft systems and the surveillance camera while we also smashed the cash machines and burnt all the money they had inside.
From the beginning we had decided that the goods of the appropriation would be distributed among the comrades who participated, not outside the super-market. With this choice of ours we want to make clear that this, and other practices aim not at promoting some of us as saviours of the society – rather, we want society itself to familiarise itself with such practices and to embrace them without waiting for the “revolutionary” philanthropist/ friends of the poor. Especially in a period like this one, where the rottenness of the present system is pushing it toward collapse. As for the term “Robin Hoodies” (in Greek: Super-market Robins) we believe it consists another typical attempt to twist the meaning of such actions by Mass Media, which present comrades as some sort of elite stealing for the poor. In result, the distribution of the goods is presented in a way that refers to the narcosis and the passivity reflected in the thinking “someone will think-act-take care of us”.
We do not believe in a society of “weak-minded” people who must necessarily be ruled, as is wished by the ruling propaganda. We are happy when people walk on with the belief that their life belongs to them, away from mediators and needless gabble, when they organise under the premise of solidarity, anti-authoritarianism and self-organisation; under the guidance of active negation and attack. When they do not fall for the fallacy of the regime that “by helping each other we will scrape through the crisis”. It is important, finally that when distributing goods you have no way of telling if the recipients are indeed in solidarity, even if that is not active, or if they are just hypocrites taking care of themselves only – and perhaps even, in another case, they would be the first to inform to the police. Of course we applaud similar actions by comrades who distribute the goods: as as we said earlier the aims are the same.
The burning of money is a symbolic action speaking for itself. These little pieces of paper that turned into ashes within seconds have managed, in even less seconds, to destroy lives, relationships, to transform the human and her desires by transforming life into indexes, digitalising feelings and experiences, simplifying the feelings of joy and misery down to the ‘alternatives’ – I have/ I have no money.
As for the action itself it took place exactly as planned. Our getaway was relaxed and with no unexpected incidents. We used bins to block off some roads precautionary while we made sure to know the movements of the cops before and during the action. It is telling that pigs of the Z force (motorcycle cops –trans.) were sitting around confused by the fountain on Egnatia Ave, obviously waiting for reinforcements and tried to approach only when we were already gone.
We are consciously and actively in solidarity with every other action sabotaging capitalism within the urban environment in which we act.
PS 1. A warning toward the “macho Greeks” who might want to become heroes: they’ll receive the treatment they deserve, exactly as it happened when one of them was spotted to be calling the cops – he was chased, along with the bunch who were about to intervene. But as the saying goes, “the mother of the fast one has never mourned”
PS 2. We can only laugh at the misinformation of the media about supposed clashes with repression forces, trolleys filled with goods that we never managed to hand out etc…
PS 3. Of course we support the appropriation of money for the needs of the movement, it is just that we wanted to give a different context to this particular action.”

Gas canister explosions occurred in different parts of the northern Greek city. The two incidents occurred on the early hours of Monday 26/4 against the National Telecommunications Organization and a news agency truck in the west part of Thessaloníki. The following night a Eurobank branch was attacked in Kalamaria, a suburb on the east part of the city.
A communique was sent on Tuesday 27/4 to Athens.Indymedia:
“We all remember, with excessive hatred, from the days of the arrest of Y. Dimitrakis in 2006 the slander of him through the de-ideologication of the act he made. The overextension of the charges from authority, and the
TV-snitches slandering anything about him and other comrades from his close friends.
Through those 4 years, and even before, the persecutor tactics on such cases is always the same according, of course, to the characteristics of the “guilty” ones. Fact is confirmed that when happens to be an anarchist automatically your close environment is criminalized and, thus, the search for participators begins.
Declassification of phone conversations, collection of finger-prints on immobile and mobile objects in houses, arrest warrants, informers willing to give any information they know are some of the basic tools used.
These same ones we find in front of us these last weeks with the case of the 6 detained already comrades that are accused as members of Revolutionary Struggle. All this atmosphere helps the achievement of total and indiscriminatal control from the state’s side. Constraint and daily brainwash through the media has double aiming. On one side to “cover” its mechanisms actions and on the other to separate the resisting parts of
society in violent and non-violent -therefore excepted-, clearly because of fear. For us, seeing these actions of the sovereignty enrages us even more and pushes us even more quickly to search for actions that will bring us
even closer to the end of this rotten world.
We stand opposed to all authoritarian mechanisms and to all snitches that assist their task and we directly take the counter-offensive for now and forever. On the night of 25th of April in Thessaloníki we attacked with fire a news agency delivery truck of “Evropi (Europe)” company in the area of Evosmos and a branch of OTE (National Telecommunications Organization) in Stavroupoli. We continued the next night again with an arson attack on a Eurobank branch in Kalamaria.
Solidarity with Yannis Dimitrakis that passes the doors of the high court tomorrow 28/4 in Athens.
Freedom to all prisoners”

A communique from Greece for an arson, translated from an Athens Indymedia post on 27/12:
25 December 2009:
“In the late hours of Christmas we put up in flames 3 vehicles belonging to the Municipality of Stavroupoli in Thessaloniki. Whatever carries a state identity, escpecially like a big municipality of a big city, will always be a very good target. We chose this certain day in an attempt to reverse its mood and its moral guise, to sabotage the ridiculous festive atmosphere with the decorated trees, the mangers in the squares and with the shinny family dinners which hide a lot of hypocrisy and unhappiness. All these Christmas stupidities universally, based on spectacle and promoting the culture of mass consumption, with the anniversal humanitarianism and the “social solidarity” cannot be anything else than the confirmation of the society’s decay.
On our side we realise solidarity in a different way and make it an act through ceaseless revolutionary action till we get liberated from the chains of all authorities. So our solidarity, together with our warm greetings, we send to anarchist comrades that have been captured in the hands of the state for their decision to take part in social war.
To Gabriel Pombo Da Silva who is imprisoned in Aachen, Germany and who at this time is on hunger strike in his attempt to manifestate against the prison system for one more time and to the comrades that succour with hunger strike in various prisons around the world like Marcos Camenisch in Switzerland, Juan Carlos, Francisco, Honorio and Albert in Spain, Diego in Argentina and Sergio, Mike and Evelyn in Italy.
To Tamara that was arrested only 10 days ago and is held in women prisons Wad-Ras in Barcelona and is charged of sending a mail-bomb to the secretary of the Catalan penitentiary services.
Also to our detained comrades in Mexico, Chile, Usa, France, Italy and Serbia.
Besides the above list there are hundreds more that live the hell of prison and oppose it with dignity as their are comrades that in order to avoid it are wanted by the authorities and others that are as well wanted with a money reward on top and many more that are under various restrictions and are awaiting trials.
To end, it will be impossible to forget and to not make a reference of honour to our dead comrades with the most recent examples being the shot dead by cops young Alexis Grigoropoulos, the shot and stabbed to death russian antifas Fedor Filatov and Ivan Khutorskoi and also Zoe from France and Mauricio Morales from Chile that found death when their homemade bombs exploded in different cases.

The forced migration from the “developing” world to that of the “civilized” West is something indisputable. The anti-terrorist witch hunt by the dominants and the pounce on natural wealth in every corner of the planet, led to the uprooting of thousands of people, either by military or economic terms. One of the destinations for this migration is also Greece, which through international state agreements, is directly responsible for the economic exploitation and military conditions that led these people to imigration, trying to to escape poverty, in response to this blackmailing dilemma of death or flee.
