All mentioned hunger strikers are on the 24th hunger strike day in a critical condition with now visible symptoms that they are at risk of destabilization of their bodies that may threaten their health and even their very lives.
All strikers have lost 13% -15% of their initial body weight, report feeling weakness, dyspnea, and fatigue on minimal exertion. Exhibiting hypotension, hypoglycemia, hyperuricemia, ketonuria, electrolyte abnormalities and mild mucosal pallor.
Considering the clinical picture, the results of laboratory tests and the particular problems of each, (from their personal history) I point out the seriousness of their situation, and I urge the competent institutions to take responsibility of their part immediately, to avoid any negative development .
Imprisoned member of the Conspiracy of Cells of Fire, Theofilos Mavropoulos, is in a serious state of worsening health in a critical condition in the hospital. According to the laboratory tests he showed electrolyte imbalance, which is being addressed by physicians, while respecting his personal choice to continue his hunger strike.
This comes as the ‘Ministry of Justice’ gave notice that it would delay the decision about if to release or not the family and relatives of CCF, gambling with their lives. The Ministry is expected to announce a decision tomorrow on that of the CCF relatives, and that of the general demands of the hunger strikers on the 30th March. In this way, prolonging the hungers strike in the hope to annihilate the comrades, the government are gambling with their own lives and all those of the representatives of the Greek state and economic interests. Revenge.
INTERNATIONAL CALL for revolutionary solidarity with the political prisoners on hunger strike since 2nd of March in Greece
At the present moment, the imprisoned anarchists, members of DAK (Network of imprisoned social fighters), A. Stamboulos, A. Theofilou, G. Karagianidis, D. Politis, F. Charisis, A. Dalios, D. Mpourzoukos, G. Sarafoudis, G. Michailidis, the members of the “Revolutionary Struggle” N. Maziotis and K. Gournas, the member of “17th of November” D. Koufontinas, a number of Turkish political prisoners and the prisoners G. Sofianidis and M. S. Eltsibach, are on a hunger strike, fighting against the repressive legal state of exception which has been established by the Greek state since the beginning of 2000.
Starting 2nd of March, along with the comrades outside the prison walls, we commenced a struggle for the abolition of Type C high security prisons, the abolition of the “anti-terrorist” law, the abolition of the “hoodlaw”, the radical change in the process of taking and identification of DNA samples, the release of the seriously sick member of 17N, S. Ksiros.
Our struggle for the fulfillment of these demands is a struggle against the core of the state of emergency. It is a struggle against the core of the new totalitarianism which has been enforced by the state of Greece, as well as by the rest of the states globally.
*Recognizing the fact that the nexus of dominance’s designs transcends the narrow geographic borders of national states, we call all the comrades to support our fight.*
*We call all comrades to act in solidarity on the 1st of April, sending a message of revolutionary unity.*
VICTORY TO THE STRUGGLE OF THE HUNGER STRIKERS
IMMEDIATE FULFILLMENT OF ALL THE DEMANDS
FOR THE ABOLITION OF STATE AND CAPITALISM
According to a report by ABC Mexico, anarchist prisoners Carlos, Amelie and Fallon were released March 13th, Amelie and Fallon were transferred directly to an immigration prison to be deported back to Canada. Given the condition of the place: restricted visits and lack of information, the situation of the companions was unclear until March 23 when they were deported.
Recall that the comrades were sentenced for an incendiary attack with molotovs against a Nissan dealership and the Ministry of Communication and Transportation in Mexico City.
From Anarchist Black Cross Italy: We received only today, March 25, according to the delayed outgoing correspondence from the section of the High Surveillance Unit of Ferrara prison, this letter of Alfredo and Nicola in solidarity with the comrades of the CCF, on hunger strike since March 2 in the Korydallos prison in Athens (some of them from yesterday transferred to the hospital).
Only today, March 16th, did we have confirmation of the hunger strike to the bitter end of our brothers and sisters of the CCF. The goal of this struggle is the release of some of their relatives arrested for retaliation and revenge for their escape attempt. Pending any news (our info dates back to March 6th) in the hope that they have already obtained the release of their loved ones, we decided to write a few words: We are with you in hearts, minds, and especially with arms. Long live CCF.
Alfredo and Nicola

An evening event was organized on Monday, March 16 in Brussels by the “Initiative for solidarity with the Greece that resists” with the presence of a Greek politician (not the Syriza MP as announced but Epaminondas Marias, from the rightist party of the “Independent Greeks” – ANEL). Members of Secours Rouge/Red Aid intervened by speaking out, with leaflet distribution and deployment of a support banner for the demands of the Greek political prisoners on hunger strike (abolition of special repression laws, isolation prisons (Type C) and the release of Savvas Xiros, member of 17 November).

A spontaneous demonstration against police violence took place in Warsaw, Poland, on 19th of March. Protest was direct reaction to events that took place few days earlier in Legionowo, Warsaw suburb: police organised hunt for marihuana users. During the arrest, one of the detainees was basically suffocated by a cop, who was trying to stop him from swallowing a bag of pot.
Death of the detainee caused a few days of intense protest- demo on 19th March was first held in Warsaw. It was a reaction against the police statement, full of lies and manipulations, which blames whole situation on the murdered detainee. This secondary victimization and police attempt to cover-up the whole case was the direct impulse to organise protest in the capital. Protest started in front of Prosecutors Office on Brudnowska street, where going to police station was decided. Police was present from the beginning, and after allowing demonstrators to pass almost 2 km decided to start confrontation: all of the protesters were surrounded, then police started checking IDs of the majority of the protesters. Some people were detained and brought to various police stations. Police called all checked protesters to testify in the following days, as suspected of committing the felony – “participating in illegal assembly”. Read the rest of this entry »
On Wednesday night, February 25th, we pulled the fire alarm in the Macdonald Engineering building of McGill university, disrupting the presentation of professor Andrew Higgins, a McGill weapons researcher, as a minimum gesture of sabotage and revolt against the University’s ongoing complicity in colonization and imperialist warfare.
This action was simple, required little planning and zero expertise, disrupted our enemies where it hurts and was infinitely more uplifting than any symbolic protest or SSMU general assembly we have witnessed in recent time. We believe that acts of resistance — both large and small — against those who profit from and those who facilitate the growth of the military-industrial-complex are valuable, and ought to be carried out whenever and wherever possible.
The University is at war; so are we.
Anti-Imperialist Action (AIA)
A new autonomous media collective rises: L’Aube épine
This is a presentation of the collective and its zine, but equally a call to join us!
Capitalism has always been after new territories to loot or develop. For quenching its insatiable thirst for resources, the industry is ready to use all the means. Because it is essential for it to be always more producing, to augment its energetic capacity, to develop the fluxes of merchandise, to exploit even more the lands, the seas and the beings… Its imperialism is condemning us to a mediocre and uniform world, as much at the scale of human societies than of the natural milieus. The political rulers, accomplices or actors of this destruction , are threatening those who oppose it, jailing and assassinating. From their palaces, they are cautioning if not organizing the genocide of many peoples whose existence is intimately tied to their environmental milieu. Read the rest of this entry »
Night of propaganda and agitation for a new March 29 (“Day of the young combatant”) and with messages of militant solidarity with our comrades in struggle within the prisons.
From the dignity of companero Juan Flores who was hit by prison-guards a few days ago in Chile, to the hunger strikes carried out by comrades of CCF and other comrades in Greece, to Jose Antunez and Javier Guerrero in Spain, through to the agitation and punishment in prisons in Italy against anarchist prisoners, our actions spread one international language: MEMORY, SOLIDARITY AND FIGHTING POWER.
No prison can stop the struggle for total liberation !!!
Another update: Court was adjourned until 3pm 27 March, and may be delayed again after that. If anybody can get out and help/support us, we now have at least a little time.
Update: New email address – squatcitydublin(at)riseup.net
SquatCity (GrangeGorman), Dublin, currently resisting eviction. We are putting out an international callout for support, to help us resist the eviction of our homes, and to defend squatting in Dublin. We have been subject to a large scale eviction attempt over the last couple of days, and we are currently resisting, and appealing for help and support. Many of you would have stayed there during the International Squatters Convergence, and saw the space for yourselves.
Here is a brief timeline of what happened, as well as a short description of the space.
On Monday 23rd March, the squatted buildings at Grangegorman, where a community has been living for a year-and-a-half, was the subject of a violent attempted eviction by a large force of contractors and cops. Here is a summary of the situation.
The space consists of three houses, three converted office buildings, five warehouses, a main courtyard and two smaller yards, all home to around 30 people.
We are reclaiming unused space and building a community around it so it can be used autonomously for projects that would not be possible within the constraints of a rented space. Read the rest of this entry »
