Solidarity with Juan, Natalie and Guillermo: 3 arrested comrades are formally charged under the anti-terrorist law in recent Santiago bombings case (Chile)
(Translated by Sin Banderas Ni Fronteras from “Refractario”)
On Tuesday, September 23, 2014, the judicial formalization of charges was performed against Juan Flores, Natalie Casanova and Guillermo Duran, comrades arrested on September 18 accused of the last explosive attacks that occurred in Santiago.
In a special courtroom (with two floors), used for large prosecutions, formalization was performed with a great security device that included the presence of anti-riot prison guards and various controls before enter the court room.
The 3 comrades were charged under anti-terrorist law:
Juan Flores: Charged with 5 accusations. Accused as the author of the subway bombing in “Los Diminicos” station (July 23) and the “Sub-center” (September 8 ), actions that were claimed by “Conspiracy of Cells of Fire – Chile”. He was also accused as the perpetrator of the double simultaneous explosive attack against two Police Headquarters on August 11, claimed by CIV (International Conspiracy of Revenge). Also accused of the strange charge of “Tenure and processing of explosives for terrorist actions in the attempted grade”.
Juan is now under preventive prison for 10 months during the prosecution’s investigation, awaiting for trial.
Natalie Casanova: Charged with 2 accusations, as a participant in the action against a subway train at “Los Dominicos” station (July 23), the action claimed by “Conspiracy of Cells of Fire – Chile”. Also accused of “Tenure and preparation of explosives for terrorist actions in the attempted grade”.
Natalie is now under preventive prison for 10 months during the prosecution’s investigation, awaiting for trial.
Guillermo Duran: He was charged with 1 accusation, for “Tenure and processing of explosives for terrorist actions in the attempted grade”, because of the 600 grams of powder that police claimed to have found at the home where he was at the time of his arrest accompanied by Juan and Natalie.
Guillermo is now under nightly house arrest for 10 months during the prosecution’s investigation, awaiting for trial.
The Prosecution said that the evidence against Juan and Natalie would be video camera evidence, a bus ticket-card to apparently move to the site of the attacks and finally, alleged DNA evidence which collated between John and Natalie and the alleged backpack remains that were left after the attack on “Los Dominicos” subway station.
For now, the comrades said to their lawyers that they did not participate in the actions.
Obviously, this judicial procedure was covered with all the journalistic carrion in the courtroom.
Although we do not know the arrested 3 comrades, our solidarity is with them and with those that refuse authority and do not bow in the face of power.
Solidarity with all social war imprisoned comrades!!
