Hunger strike communiqué of comrade Kevin Garrido (Chile)
‘We will ensure that there is not one safe place left for them. Our weapons are charged and ready to talk… if words make them sweat, actions will spill blood’ Sebastián Oversluij.
Today I write to you from captivity, Mauricio Morales. These words are from and for you and I hope they reach you.. How many years have passed since you physically abandoned this disgusting modern world? Does it really matter? Not to me. Time is just time and the future is uncertain, the attack is here and now… There’s the present to be set on fire and blown up! The present war!
For me you didn’t ‘fall in battle’. Because, dying while attacking authority is falling? no, in my opinion, and I believe that many repeat this phrase mistakenly. For me you died attacking authority, with dignity and pride. You died with the courage of the warrior you are, amidst the triumph of Power and the respect of those who consider you a comrade. I don’t idolise you or any other, even less do I cry for you. I honour your courage, your acting in total coherence with your words, ideas and practices; a fighter of praxis.
The intention of every action, the thinking behind it and its aims are different. I can speak for my own actions and reaffirm what I think and want, but neither I nor anyone else can speak for yours, only you can, and now this is not possible. I empathise with many of the thoughts you put down on paper. Just as I empathise with the courageous decision to undertake a whirling journey in the company of the Moon with the complicity of darkness, every thrust of the pedal taking you nearer to the objective, with the cold metal of a weapon rubbing on your skin. I empathise with the constant whisper: ‘death’, ‘prison’ and in your heart ‘make it’. That May 22 you faced death, I did so on November 19 and now I am confronting captivity, and I get a gust of joy and energy from the knowledge that comrades in affinity are still making a fool of authority and succeed in their actions. I like to know that in spite of the streets of the pestilential city being ‘controlled’ day and night, they continue to set fire to the guards of filthy, bastard, miserable authority all over the world.
Power took pleasure in celebrating your death, I am here to avenge you and defend your memory, brother, because tons of concrete and cold bars are not and won’t be eternal.
A warm embrace to the brother/sister who was pedalling with you that night, just as I greet all those who are facing the blows of Power, and have never disowned their bonds.
‘Back down? No. Not even when at the end of the road, with no means of escape, I find myself against the wall of death.’ (Severino Di Giovanni).
For words without action are rubbish, and given that I find myself physically limited by solitary confinement, I am going to start a hunger strike in memory of anarchists Mauricio Morales and Christos Tsoutsouvis on May 1until May 22.
FOR THE BLOODY MUTILATION OF EVERY FORM OF VILE AUTHORITY!
TO EVERY PRISONER OF WAR: A KISS AND AN EMBRACE.
MAURICIO MORALES, CHRISTOS TSOUTSOUVIS AND THE NUMEROUS BROTHERS WHO DIED DEFYING POWER: PRESENT!
FREEDOM FOR ALL PRISONERS!!!
