Istanbul, Turkey: Revenge Units Arson Attacks Against Factories Supplying the Turkish Military
13.01.2020: The Şehit Sorxwin Roboskî and the Şehit Soro Amed Revenge Units carried out actions against factories in Başakşehir, Istanbul that supply clothing and equipment to the Turkish military. The Revenge Units issued a written statement explaining their actions that took place on January 11th, 2020:
“On January 11th, our members organized an action against a factory that makes military clothing for the occupying Turkish army. The factory is located in the PİK Dökümcüler Industrial Estate in the Başakşehir district of Istanbul. 8 minibuses owned by the factory were destroyed as a result of this action. At the same time as this action was carried out, members of our unit also sabotaged a factory on another block located in the same industrial estate. This factory manufactures equipment for military vehicles belonging to the occupying Turkish army.
In this action, the workshop was completely destroyed along with many vehicles belonging to the occupying Turkish army. As a result of this action, the factory owner was killed and 2 other people were injured. At this factory, which is located on an area of thousands of square meters, huge material damage was incurred.
These factories, which provided military equipment for the war against the people of Kurdistan, were successfully targeted and destroyed by members of our units. While the Başakşehir District Governor and the lying media of the Turkish state cannot explain the fire in the textile factory, the industry producing military vehicles and equipment tries to hide the truth with the lies that the factory was destroyed due to an explosion in the boiler room.
We once again point out that all factories that provide materials and economic resources that support the war against the people of Kurdistan, as well as the factory owners, will continue to be our targets. With the actions we carry out we will destroy the dirty war waged by the genocidal, denialist Turkish state and the lies of its media.”
