Solidarity with the Fittja 10 (Sweden)

Wednesday, November 11th, 2009

Ten people charged with preparing an arson and one with rioting, as well. Three nights before, unrest broke out after a police intervention at a youth center. They need our support!

Support the Fittja 10

During the last year, riots and arsons have spread through urban areas in Sweden. Youth in poorer communities have started fires and attacked firefighters and cops on arrival. The unrest is clearly linked to a discontent with the situation they face; the segregated cities, the poor living conditions in their areas, the discrimination they face in mainstream society. Wherever they go they carry their areas’ reputation with them. (more…)

Two Comrades Arrested (Belgium)

Monday, November 9th, 2009

In the night of the 6th of October, Jürgen Goethals didn’t come home. He was picked off the streets by cops, put in front of a prosecutor and locked up in the prison of Ghent.

Earlier that day, a gang of fascists were hosted once more by the tolerant city of Ghent. Something, which, was apparently not appreciated by everyone. In several places, people expressed their discord by causing damage to symbols of this capitalist society. We found out later that Jürgen is alleged of having participated in these protest actions.

The following days, several people are harassed by cops. (more…)

About the attacks against State & Capital and the 'Conspiracy of Cells of Fire' (Greece)

Saturday, November 7th, 2009

A huge storm of revolt raged through the streets of Greece in December 2008. After the young Andreas Grigoropoulos was murdered by a cop, riots spread throughout the whole country for several weeks. Hundreds of banks, shops, car dealers, offices,… were attacked, plundered and put on fire. Although it were anarchists and anti-authoritarians who took the lead in this storm during the first week after the murder, it spread itself fast and many people got involved in this revolt against miserable living conditions, against the authorities and against the hopelessness offered by this world to the exploited and oppressed.

But the revolt didn’t cease at the end of 2008, neither did it start on the day of the murder. (more…)

Once again the Police show their true colors – Nicosia (Cyprus)

Wednesday, October 14th, 2009

In the evening of 10th October (Saturday) like almost every Saturday of the past 6 months a street party was taking place at Phaneromenis Square. Never has there been any problem and people always had fun without them ending on a false note. The party was going well with over 200 people attending. People were dancing, laughing and having fun.

At some point people realized that 3 individuals in formal clothes were beating 2 young individuals who were on the ground. This took place in a corner in the courtyard of church. Flowingly, various people gathered to see what was going on. Subsequently the 3 individuals in formal clothes were proven to be policemen on duty… (more…)

Call Out for Anti-2010 Olympics Solidarity! Oct 29th – 31st 2009

Thursday, October 8th, 2009

International Call Out for Direct Action:

“Our struggles come from before 2010 and will reach beyond!”

This is a call out for direct action and solidarity. At the end of October, the Olympic Torch will come from Greece to Canada.

As we’ve seen here in BC, the true project of the Olympics is the enhancement capitalism, colonization and social control. New surveillance infrastructure and the training of police and security forces in counter-insurgency here will be exported around the world. The Olympics effects us all, the world over.

Direct action, disruptions or confrontations generally and against the torch relay can be part of a strategy to discourage economic development, exploitation and destruction of people and the land in “British Columbia.”

Between October 29-30th, (and beyond) we welcome acts of solidarity in the form of whatever makes the most sense for your context.

From everywhere in the world let these acts strengthen our common rebellion! (more…)

Freedom for Alfredo and Christos – Comrades arrested in Greece

Sunday, October 4th, 2009

Well-known Italian anarchist Alfredo M. Bonanno and Greek anarchist Christos Stratigopoulos have been arrested in Trikala, central Greece, on suspicion of carrying out an armed robbery at a local bank. Police sources definitively named the men as Alfredo M. Bonanno, 72, and Christos Stratigopoulos, 46. Bonanno has served 18 months in jail for his essay called “Armed Joy” and was also given a six-year term in 2003 in the farce of the “Marini Trial”.

According to police, Stratigopoulos carried out the robbery at a branch of Piraeus bank on Thursday. He forced employees to hand over 46,900 euros, which he then apparently handed to Bonanno, who was waiting outside in a rented car. A witness noted the license plate of the vehicle and informed the police, who stopped the car on a road leading to Kalambaka. Officers found the stolen cash in the vehicle.

Alfredo and Christos are being held in the prison of Amfissa, Greece.

Christos has been charged with robbery, Alfredo with concourse in robbery.

Lawers are making a request for house arrest for Alfredo for health reasons.

Solidarity action – Freedom to Alfredo & Christos!

On Friday October 2 at about 8.15pm, a low-intensity bomb went off only a few meters away from the podium where Prime Minister Karamanlis was delivering his last speech, signalling the end of the pre-election period (elections are on Sunday the 4th).

The “Conspiracy of Cells of Fire” claimed responsibility with a communiqué published on Athens IMC. The writers of the communiqué deny the previous police claims to have arrested 4 members of the organisation, whilst another 6 remained on the run. The “Conspiracy of Cells of Fire” describe the placing of the bomb in detail and send their revolutionary greetings to Alfredo Bonnano and his 46-year old Greek comrade, Christos Stratigopoulos, both arrested and charged with a bank robbery in the northern city of Trikala on Thursday.

DHL – Olive underneath a yellow camouflage

Monday, June 1st, 2009

This text introduces a proposal for an action related mobilization towards the NATO-festivities in Strasbourg and Baden-Baden in the beginning of April 2009. The idea is to turn into practice the critique on NATO and the new NATO doctrine (with its core “comprehensive approach”) by focusing on the postal service and war logistics company DHL. This 100% subsidiary of the Deutsche Post today shows its true colour, which is best expressed in its new name “Deutsche Heeres Logistic” (German Army Logistics). (more…)

France: Detention and an escape + Letter of Ivan

Monday, June 1st, 2009

Wednesday 11th of March, Ivan and Farid were called by the examining magistrate for an audition on the ongoing investigation. But above all, the prosecution and the judges wanted to ask their incarceration under the pretext that they would be in recidivism of judiciary control violation. The cops would have seen them together at certain gatherings in solidarity with Isa (still in prison at that moment). The judiciary control forbade them to «enter in contact in any way». (more…)

Italian ‘Anti-terror’ investigation spills into Germany as raids against ‘Informal Anarchist Federation’ continue

Monday, June 1st, 2009

As perhaps some of you may already know, long time anarchist prisoner Gabriel Pombo da Silva got visited in November 2008 by Italian (Digos/political police and state attorney) and German police (Federal and criminal divisions) in relation to a new investigation on FAI/RAT (a group of informal FAI) which took responsibility almost two years ago for some bombings in Torino, Italy. There were three devices, one of which did not explode, placed in garbage containers in the middle of the road in a rich neighbourhood. (more…)

Thursday, March 26th, 2009

Bombs against the communal police of Parma: four comrades arrested.

In the night of 19 to 20 of October, two bombs exploded in front of the headquarters of the communal police of Parma (Italy). The damage is limited, no one of the cops who were inside got hurt. This section of the communal police was denounced lately by a student from Ghana, Emmanuel Bonsu, who made public how he was beaten and tortured. Lately, more and more denounces of migrants who are being tortured in the police stations are made public.
