The New Democracy party, in the wake of SYRIZA’s social-democratic strategy, has placed its bets on pointing out an internal enemy so that it can proceed seamlessly with management adjustments of domestic capital that go unnoticed and without reaction. Thus, the issue of Exarchia,”confronting lawlessness in neighbourhoods and universities”, the imposition of the “law and order” doctrine, is high on the right-wing agenda, investing in the most cannibalistic and conservative characteristics of the local population and by building a cover-up strategy for the ever-increasing degradation of the labour force. A strategy of making the dead, tortured and excluded at the borders, on the sea, at workplaces, on metropolitan roads, detention centres and prisons, invisible. A strategy that would turn the public eye to the antiauthoritarians’ conflicts with the cops and the attacks on the symbols, structures and people of power, characterizing it as the dominant, structured form of violence, and therefore the most prominent threat that lies over mainstream citizens’ heads.
The wording used by the dominant authoritarian narrative is not chosen by chance, depicting occupations (outlaw dens), social centres in universities (hideouts), people fighting on the street with cops (vandals), people who capitalism’s violence turned away from their homelands to try to find a better fate here (illegal immigrants), armed guerrillas and radical expropriators (terrorists, robbers and murderers). And linking all these expressions with the “Exarchia” abstraction. Read the rest of this entry »

Days after being followed and days after my home in Ano Patissia was being watched by the anti-terrorist unit, I published a political statement that also includes a report about the events on 27/10/2019 .
Later, 09/11/2019, the anti-terrorist cops that were near my house started acting differently. At the same time, anti-terrorist unit repression against the movement became more severe, like arresting comrades with the accusation of being involved in the revolutionary organization “Organization of Revolutionary Self-Defense”.
10/11/2019, 22:00 to 22:30, while I was going home, I saw many undercover cops around my home, more than usual in the past few weeks. I decided to not go home and publish immediately the information in Indymedia Athens about this event .
11/11/2019, in the evening, while my flatmate and his friend were coming out of the building, 15 to 20 anti-terrorist cops stopped them. First, anti-terrorist cops handcuffed them, put them in the car and probably 30 minutes later the anti-terrorist cops entered my home with the key that they took from my flatmate. Anti-terrorist cops started searching the house. After that, they arrested my flatmate with the accusation of having a military knife that was found in our home. Read the rest of this entry »
We learn that on the morning of November 26th anarchist comrade Giuseppe Sciacca was arrested by the DIGOS (“political police” of the Italian police forces) of Turin, in the province of Verona. At the same time as the arrest, the house where he resides was searched. It is not currently known whether other searches have taken place. The accusation is of “manufacture, possession and transport of explosive material”, for the sending, in 2016, of an explosive envelope to Ladisa, the company that managed the canteen in the CPR (“temporary stay center”, prison for migrants) of Turin. An episode already disputed, together with others, to those arrested last February 7th within the repressive operation “Scintilla”; in fact, a note from the Turin police headquarters defines arrest as a sort of extension of this operation.
Below is Giuseppe’s address:
Casa Circondariale Montorio
via S. Michele 15
Italia – Italy
Since Saturday 9th of November, following the police raid at a man’s home, which has been his declared residence for many years, this man and one more, a persecuted fighter and political prisoner in the past, have been incarcerated in the cells of the Greek state, facing heavy charges. The regime’s propaganda media, which take on the job of spreading the scenarios of the repression mechanisms, portray the two arrested as well as myself as members of the armed organization Revolutionary Self Defense, who have been preparing, according to the suspicions of the “counter”-terrorist agency, new attacks. Starting from these arrests and with the added excuse of the search for me, the state has unleashed a mass operation of terrorism against anarchists and the wider social movement. Such efforts, which are pillars of the timeless counter-revolutionary strategy of the rulers, have been dealt with several times by the movement, by its stamina, its broad solidarity and by continuing and intensifying the struggle. Being at the epicenter of this operation I ought to make a public statement about my political stance and the characteristics of the regime’s current aggression that is directed against society and the movement.
In addition, the condition of the two imprisoned persons (who are now political prisoners since they are persecuted in the framework of such an operation), my personal responsibilities, and justice urge me to speak publicly about the real background of the facts.
By definition, an organization of armed resistance needs arms. However, the weapons by themselves do not constitute an organization. Even a weapon that has been identified as a tool of a specific organization and which, as such, carries a symbolic value on top of the practical capacity of every weapon, is not sufficient, by itself, to maintain an organization of political activity. Rather, what is necessary is a collective body that carries on the public presence of the organization through its deeds.
It is an objective fact that the organization Revolutionary Self Defense has been inactive for years. By reading its public texts and particularly its specific political goals, one comes to the undoubted conclusion that for a long period the particular organization has abandoned its field of struggle. For sure, there has not been a lack of occasions to act. The capitalist aggression has been ceaselessly intensified, by all governments. The subordinate classes are sucked dry for the sake of the banking system for over a decade. Killings continue at the hands of state murderers and bosses. Just like the police murders of Zak Kostopoulos and Ebuka Mamasubek, or the indirect killings of prisoners in the prisons and of migrants at the borders and in the concentration camps. Squats, which comprise the open bases of the anti-capitalist movement, spaces in which the world of solidarity, equality and freedom is built here and now, are receiving one attack after the next from the beginning of the SYRIZA government until today. Throughout the globe, the oppressed are revolting and fighting, having to face the murderous counter revolutionary state mechanisms. In Latin America, anarchists and indigenous peoples are abducted and executed by order of multinational companies. Read the rest of this entry »
This is one in a series of interviews with people involved in the Notara 26 squat in Exarcheia, Athens. The struggle for the free spaces here is made up of people with very different backgrounds, life stories and ideas. We aim to record people’s own words without imposing our views – though of course we can’t escape our own perspectives, or the limits of translation.
3. “Dokhtar-e-Mah” (daughter of the moon)
The idea of Notara came when lots of people were arriving in 2015. Many people were camping in the park in Pedion tou Areos, next to Exarcheia in the centre of Athens, living in tents outside in very bad conditions. We were some people from the movement who went to try and help.
Winter was coming. We held an assembly with comrades, and decided to find a building and occupy it as a squat for refugees. After doing a mapping of the area, we decided on this one, which belongs to the ministry of labour but had been abandoned for more than five years. We said – “what is public, we’ll give to the people.”
We entered the building on 25 September 2015, but we needed at least 15 days to prepare it. We made separations for rooms, showers, common spaces, storage spaces, the kitchen, etc. Social kitchens supported the project and brought in food every day for lunch and dinner, as later they also did for other squats in Exarchia. The Moscow Anarchist Black Cross group is supporting the declaration released by the Rupression-campaign about Arman Sagynbaev, prisoner of the so-called Network case, and will stop supporting him. Arman has been removed from the list of political prisoners, supported by the ABC Moscow. From now on, no donations transferred via Anarchist Black Cross Moscow for the Network case prisoners, or political prisoners in general, will be used to support Arman Sagynbaev or passed to his lawyers.
Declaration by the Rupression-campaign
Several women have spoken up with their stories of violence and abuse perpetrated by Arman Sagynbayev – we have no reason not to believe them. Arman has always had a questionable reputation. As an example, long before the arrests, Victor Filinkov and Igor Shishkin stopped their communication with him; some of the other defendants were barely familiar with him. Many of us didn’t know the details, because not all the stories, which are rather personal, were known more widely. We didn’t expect him to continue to be dangerous for women while in jail and that’s why we didn’t give enough attention to the details. Now we recognize and understand, that it was a mistake. Munich, 20.11.19: In Chile tens of thousands of people have been revolting for weeks against the prevailing normality. Police stations, churches, banks, shopping malls, buses, subway stations and universities burn. The normal everyday life has come to a standstill and the state and capitalist power is attacked.
How can we express our solidarity and solidarity with the revolts there?
There are various possibilities … in Munich, for example, In recent nights, several ticket machines have been lit and burned at various stations. Also, the Chilean Consulate was defaced with color and “Fire to all states! (A)“ sprayed next to this. A nearby church was smeared and sprayed with “No God No State No Patriarchy” on it.
It would be nice if such proposals were to be disseminated wildly and other possibilities of solidarity put into practice.
The Anarchist Union of Iran and Afghanistan believes that the Islamic Republic of Iran’s regime will not hesitate to massacre millions of Iranians, like it has done in Syria and Iraq as well as in Iran these these last few days. Therefore, the Anarchist Union of Iran and Afghanistan is prepared to declare that it will cooperate with all Kurdish, Arab and Baloch armed opposition forces. With respect to the widespread repression of defenseless people in Iran, we must be able to provide them with the right tools to defend themselves, before there are more dead and the people’s movement has been permanently suppressed. Therefore the need to form an armed revolutionary front to support and defend the people against the Islamic regime’s executioners is urgent and necessary. If it is possible to transport weapons to people inside Iran, you should not hesitate for a moment to prevent more people from being bled and buried. The duty of the revolutionary and radical opposition outside of Iran is to provide logistical and strategic support to the struggles and resistance of the people inside Iran
WE ARE BAD AND WE WILL BE WORSE: WE ARE THEIR WORST NIGHTMARE!
Urgent Call to Anarchic Action
Next Monday 25 marks the International Day for the Elimination of the Violence against Women and we will not stay at home. We will go out with all our anti-systemic rage and we hope to spread the rage back to the sectors numb from the so-called “feminist movement.”
We will not allow the Mexican State to rape and kill us while converting this day in an official act and we presume his Fourth Transformation as the end of
Patriarchy. Nor will we tolerate the police presence or allow them to reporters and journalists take pictures or videos of our faces: the press aims and the system shoots!
In his morning circus the pejeganso has decreed “the end of machismo in Mexico” and has ordered his subordinate Sheimbaum to declare the Alert for Gender Violence in City.
If the feathered peje thinks that by appointing ministers in the SCJN and doing statements grabs us, the asshole’s wrong. As we have expressed before: we are aware of the presence in the national palace of a misogynist and sexist fascist, pro-life, ultraconservative and evangelicalist to which the left has allied in its constant opportunism to “take power” at all costs.
In the night of Thursday 7th of November 2019, we chose to attack to the riot-police (MAT) van, which stays in front of the KINAL (ex PASOK) offices, and to the motorcycle-police (DIAS forces) that was accompanying them during their shift-change. Our choice was totally targeted.
In a conjuncture that the government of New Democracy has unleashed a man-hunt against anyone who fights, in a conjuncture of evicting migrant’s and political-social spaces of struggle, in a conjuncture of the concrete abolition of the university’s asylum and the invasion of MAT and OPKE cops into the universities – in this conjuncture we chose to make an ambush against the scums of MAT and the lackeys of the DIAS forces, and attack them from two sides with incendiary devices, destroying their motorbikes, injuring three of them, and simultaneously trying to burn the van that was immobilized on Eressou street.
This action took place inside the area of Exarchia, so as to make clear that the continuation of the state’s repressive policy’s aggravation will have the equivalent answers. What followed our action, just verified our valid act to -victoriously- fight against the torturers of the Greek Police: random prosecutions, attempt to invade the café on the square, tortures against combatants, fulfilling the neighbourhood with tear-gases.
Police showed its real face once again, when a few militants -with home-made means of struggle- attacked the fully-armed guards of the order, managing to ruck the contrived omnipotence sense in this area.
Managing, also, to remind that the “surgical” operations of M. Chrisochoidis police are carried out with no anaesthetic, when they have to cope with the resistance which shames repression and measures its limits. And, finally, reminding that, without combative reflexes and intensification of the social-class resistances, it is sure that these repressive operations will achieve to numb and paralyze the movement, which will get used to the repression, incorporating fear and relinquishment.
The attack against the movement is an integral part of a larger attack against the acquired rights established on the cost and with the self-sacrifice of the combative society. The supposed passage towards the capitalist development, as a last effort of the system to handle the deep structural crisis of the Capital, signs the higher accumulation of wealth in the rich hands, the deepening of exploitation against the poor ones, the re-allocation of poverty and beggary, the intensification of precarious, underpaid and undervalued work.
That’s why capitalism constantly upgrades its repressive arsenal. That’s why it strengthens it’s laws against the insurrection that will, necessarily, outbreak the next years in Greece too. That’s why it attacks rashly and rabidly against the structures and the people of struggle, treating the movement as a “criminal association” which must be immediately eradicated.
If we want to block the preventive strategy of counter-insurgency, we must raise the wall of the movement’s self-defence and the social-class
counter-violence against it.
PS.: Strength to the anarchist comrade V. Stathopoulos, who was imprisoned after the massive repressive operation that was concerted by the scums of anti-terrorist police on the 8th and 9th of November 2019.
We claim the responsibility for the incendiary attacks against the local offices of New Democracy and the building of the Hellenic Post at the area of Pefki in the northern suburbs (of Athens), as a fiery welcoming for the new government and its politicians, such us the human garbage with the axes* who sit on the parliament seats, and our lovely scum Adonis Georgiadis, an infamous hilarious political figure of the extreme right wing. Each one of our attacks is a promise to our struggle towards anarchy, and our signal of solidarity with our wanted and imprisoned comrades. For now, we don’t have many things to say. Now is the moment for action and for constant and abiding multi-form struggle. Strength to and complicity with everyone who will take the streets with the desire to vandalize, to throw stones to the cops, and to burn the authoritarian symbols. Strength to and complicity with all the anarchist prisoners all around the world. Solidarity means attack.
STRENGTH TO THE WANTED ANARCHIST DIMITRIS CHANTZIVASILIADIS
Nothing is over, we’ll be back
LONG LIVE ANARCHY
PS.: STRENGTH TO THE IMPRISONED ANARCHIST V. STATHOPOULOS

I think it is important now that our voices of Rojava, out of the heart of that battle, are being heard. A fight for the life, for an existence in dignity, for real democracy and for the freedom of all women. I want to tell how the resistance of Serekaniye went on, how the beginning was, how the end was and also what happened in between. Serekaniye right now is in the hands of jihadist groups that are being supported by Turkey, upon approval by the United States. At a time they said there would be a five-day firearm rest…. we didn’t believe it for one second. And that’s how it was – the attacks didn’t stop, maybe they’ve been reduced, but they continued attacking us with heavy artillery, bombings and airplanes. When there are bombings, there is not much that can be done; hide behind a tree and hope, that they didn’t see you running or that they found your place.
Those five days of supposed firearm rest actually have been decisive for the United States and Turkey, to redefine the conflict, to realign the situation of war, confrontation and resistance against our forced withdrawal that no one expected. No one could believe it, after 11 days of resistance, beautiful and very hard at the same time. Leaving the city. The Turkish invasion of Serekaniye did start some days before, 8th of October, with a bombing of our military post that hasn’t been answered, for not to unleash what happened later anyway. It was an attempt of the friends to protect the people and the society. But the next day, about 3 to 4 pm, another bombing of a post of the YPG took place, where 5 friends have fallen, and since then they bombed the whole border. Read the rest of this entry »
