Sabotage Tactics: “Wheel Hunters” vs Police Vehicles

March 10th, 2020

If you look closely almost every police intervention requires vehicles. And even the Power Rangers need wheels. The vehicles and not radio or riot gear, not even the policemen themselves, are the key to their capacity to intervene. A mobile unit without mobility is just useless.

It can not be understood why there are still areas that suffer the militarized police ravages that do not use this easy and so effective tactics.

First of all the wheels are not punctured, but cut to be precise. Cutting wheels in any of its variety and situations [Here Manual in Spanish] is by far the easiest, cheapest and most effective method to counter its immediate repressive action.

[Make one stabbing cut with a screwdriver or sturdy boxcutter into the softer sidewall of the tyre, not the tread]

Especially organized in coordinated parties of “Wheel Hunters” (see below).

I.e. a campaign of 20 vehicles per day for a week would collapse car cranes, workshops and some stocks. To increase the khaos, also cut the wheels of these same car cranes.

We agree that burning vehicles is in any case the most effective and definitive but has a number of drawbacks: alert all the rest of cops, reinforcements are called, they usually carry fire extinguishers in their vehicles, they will be likely to initiate an CSI [forensic] investigation and request CCTV records, which could initiate a repressive campaign, if you get caught in the action they will charge you with terrorism and attempted murder, and much more dangerous, you will face a shot instead of a blow. Letter from anarchist fugitive Abtin Parsa (Greece)

March 10th, 2020

We are in a war situation, some of us were killed, some of us are in prisons, some of us were pushed to escape and are being hidden and many of us are under a lot of pressure. We should accept that resistance against state and capitalism is not the easy way of life but we have no choice: either we resist together and survive, or the state and capitalism will kill all of us one by one.

After months being under watch, follow and harassment by anti terrorist unit, on February 13, when the oppression did target me and those who have contact with me more than in the past, I did take a political decision to be hidden. I am not in a safe place and no one is in a safe place because in this neo liberal capitalism system, there is no safe place, so being hidden inside 4 walls does not mean you are safe.

In this period of time, there is a historical and political responsibility for the movement to defend the armed resistance. The goal of state repression is first to pacifize and in the end to destroy any kind of resistance, because the state does not want the oppressed to fight back. The state talks about peace but this peace is nothing but monopolizing the violence in the hand of state. The state is trying to make us unable to return the violence, but the oppressed should defend themselves by any means that they understand; otherwise there is no survival.

Italy: 27 Prisons in Revolt Over the Coronavirus – Eight Prisoners Dead

March 9th, 2020

+ Modena, Italy: About the Revolt and Massacre Inside Modena Prison

+ Italy: Revolts in numerous prisons – 8 and 9 March 2020

+ Italy: Coronavirus and Prisons – Statement from Anarchist Group ‘Bakunin’ (Rome & Lazio)

09.03.2020: The prisons are in revolt. As of this morning, there are 27 prisons where protests are taking place by inmates, some of whom are calling for amnesty because of the Coronavirus emergency. Eight prisoners died according to the new official report released after the riots of recent days: six of whom died in Modena prison during the prisoners’ revolt yesterday afternoon. For three of these yesterday, institutional sources claim that one of them died from opiate substance abuse, the other from benzodiazepines, while the third was found cyanotic, but the reason for this is unknown. For the other three there is no news, while a total of 18 prisoners have been hospitalized, mostly for intoxication. Two other deaths from a psychotropic drug overdose are recorded in the prisons of Verona and Alessandria during the night. The two had been the ringleaders of the protests and, according to the official report spread by the prison authorities, they had stolen psychotropic drugs from the infirmary.

Oak Audiozine: Be Friction in the Gears – Anti-Technology Podcast (U$A)

March 9th, 2020

In this episode we have a discussion with West Northwest, a philosopher of technology with a specific focus on the existential dangers of 21st century technologies to the freedom and autonomy of human beings and to the entirety of the natural world, and on the need to resist those technologies and the system that is bringing them into existence. West Northwest brings deep wisdom and analysis to the technological tyranny threatening us all. We are grateful for this clear and concise voice in critiquing technology.

To complement the discussion with West Northwest, we have a reading of Feral Magick by Jason Rodgers.

We opened the episode with Foster’s Mill, a traditional song penned anonymously which triumphs the tactics of the Luddites. The song refers to a mill owned by a Mr. Foster. The mill was stormed, set fire and machinery smashed by an armed crowd of 300 on April 9, 1812. Although Luddites struggled against a very different technological reality than we do today, the Luddites fundamentally rejected the same logic which we stand face to face with now. For the forever smashing of looms, this is Oak, enjoy the episode

Letter from Xinachtli, imprisoned in the “Guantanamo of Texas” (U$A)

March 9th, 2020

Here is a report from the Texas political prisoner Xinachtli, discussing his conditions of confinement and asking for people to show solidarity on May Day:

“Love is contraband in Hell, cause love is an acid that eats away bars. But you, me, and tomorrow hold hands and make vows that struggle will multiply.” Comrade Assata Shakur, Black Liberation Army (in exile in Cuba)

In the spirit of revolutionary proletarian internationalism, from within the belly of this racist, fascist, neo-colonial military stockade, also known as the Guantanamo of Texas prisons, from the occupied territories of the U.S. Southwest under siege for over 500 years, I salute you, and thank you and all freedom-loving peoples of the world, who support me, the Texas prisoner freedom struggles, and the global fight against monopoly capitalism and imperialism.

Viva la revolucion obrera! Viva la lucha! Long live the struggle!

Since my return trip from Polunsky in Livingston, TX, from my Hep C medical treatment, I found a “new administration” in ad. seg. (meaning solitary confinement), more repressive than the last one when I left here in July 2019. Since my return on October 18, 2019, I have been repeatedly assigned to a “disciplinary segregation” cellblock, more punitive than the regular ad. seg. cellblock. I mean, the pigs claim it is just a temporary 30-day “assignment”, but they keep repeating me on it, saying it is due to “overcrowding overflow”, but of over 500 ad. seg. prisoners, who they could easily “rotate”, they have singled me out for repeated assignments to this merry-go-round, under false pretexts. Communique for Pipeline Sabotage in Alberta (Kanada)

March 9th, 2020

325 receives and transmits:

Anonymous Submission to North Shore Counter-Info:

before the sun rose in the early early morning of 02/20/2020 we took direct action against pipeline infrastructure in Acheson AB
outraged by the Reactionary Colonial Mounted Pigs invasion of sovereign Wet’suwet’en territory and in solidarity with the Secwepemc we decommissioned a section of pipe that the klanadian state (financers of this project) had left sitting in the open air with little defense
solidarity means attack

“smile for the camera, boys” shouted the security guard after us
even though the camera could not capture it we were smiling beneath our masks
“joy is arming itself”

we hope to discourage a lot of the fear that currently surrounds resistance
it has now been weeks after a direct attack on a large corporation with no sign of police repression
there are many others living in this colony ready and willing to act
neither the pigs nor reactionary gangs can stop sabotage
do not wait for permission
strike hard while your enemy is unprepared
find your friends and act with joy!
Kenney said we are in a state of anarchy, prove him right!
there are online field guides teaching sabotage

Act spontaneously, but do your homework
we broke our drill bit while eating through the steel pipe these companies publish comprehensive engineering reports which can be found on their own websites
study these and use proper materials
it is worth noting the existence of perimeter-monitoring technology
there was a thick black cable lining the top of the fenced perimeter around the material storage site
it is also possible for these sensor cables to be under topsoil
this perimeter sensor may have tipped off the guard or maybe he found us by the noise we made or by chance but the response was immediate and impotent

This action was done in support of all land defenders
Mohawks who consistently assert their autonomy
Zapatistas and other indigenists in southern Mexico
democratic forces of Rojava
pirates of Somalia
countless tribes of the Amazon
Mapuche in Chile
Standing Rock Sioux Nation
Quechua, Guarani, Aymara of Bolivia
Anishinaabe of Minnesota
feminists in Mexico
redneck coal miners in the Appalachian mountains
rebels of Haiti
farmers of la Z(A)D
to the many nations that inhabit the beaver hills meeting grounds

Many have put effort into reconciling with klanada
consistent colonialism has given only disrespect in return, reconciliation is now dead
to #shutdowncanada colonial land claims must be disputed everywhere alongside the current struggles in so-called BC
the entirety of klanada is illegitimate and there should be insurrection everywhere

Another world is possible!

Pau, France: Damien is back in prison

March 8th, 2020

IT/EN/FR

Anarchist comrade Damien Camélio is in prison. He is imprisoned in Pau prison, to serve a five-month sentence. He was convicted of violence against a police officer, due to an argument that took place in Saint Malo on July 31st, 2017.

Damien did not even know about this conviction: his signatures under the notifications of the date of trial, conviction and summons before the probation magistrate are false…

The comrade is in high spirits.
Solidarity means attack!

To write to him (Damien reads French and Spanish):

Damien Camélio

n° d’écrou : 28499
Maison d’Arrêt de Pau
14, rue Viard
64000 – Pau (France)

Translator’s note: Damien was arrested at the beginning of 2014 for three attacks signed ‘Groupe d’action directe internationaliste’ (against an army building in Tarbes, in the Pyrenees, against a prison in the same city and against a church of a sect close to the far-right, in Pau). He served two years in prison. He was re-arrested in December 2016, for damages (the windows of a supermarket, an employment office, the Chamber of Commerce and a Jaguar dealership), made during a spontaneous demonstration, in April 2016, during the movement against the ‘Loi travail’ [employment law], and served 8 months.

Urgent news about comrade Ilya Romanov (Russia)

March 8th, 2020

IT/FR

On February 18 and 19, there were rallies in Moscow in solidarity with Ilya Romanov, who, at the moment, is locked up in a penal colony in Mordovia [Eastern European Russia, near Nizhny Novgorod; NdAtt.]. In October 2019, Ilya had a stroke. Since then, he has been locked up in the penal colony hospital, a facility which is not suitable for treating his condition, which is still very critical. Indeed, the comrade is partially paralyzed (apparently half of his body is paralyzed). Ilya still has difficulty speaking, eating and being independent, even in the smallest gestures of everyday life. Ilya’s family and his lawyers were made aware of the stroke days after it happened, and the neurologist’s visit took place only two and a half weeks afterwards. He is not in any rehabilitation process and all the lawyers’ requests to have him transferred to a suitable hospital have been rejected; for weeks neither his family nor his lawyers were able to meet him or understand the gravity of his situation. It was not until November 28 that one of his lawyers was able to meet Ilya; The lawyer said that Ilya is paralyzed down one half of his body and cannot speak. He urgently needs the help of a speech therapist, as well as other doctors, but he is not allowed any specialist. Ilya is left to himself in a bed on a ward where he is locked up and he has been fed porridge for months. His neighbors on his ward in adjacent beds said that even the nurses in the ward never take care of him, but the inmates working there do it. On December 4, the medical commission of the penal colony again gave a negative opinion regarding Ilya’s transfer to a suitable hospital, because his condition did not seem serious enough to be incompatible with detention (!!!). The lawyers continue to use the legal channels and apparently his family has called to the European Commission of Human Rights.

For those who do not know Ilya, some words on his journey: Ilya has participated in anarchist actions and demonstrations since the end of the 1980s. In 2002, he was arrested in Ukraine, accused of arms trafficking and of terrorism, as well as the preparation of an explosive device which was to be placed in front of a building of the Ukrainian secret services, to protest against the violent expulsion of a rally, Place Maidan, carried out by the police in October 2002. For this, Ilya was sentenced to 10 years in jail. On his release in 2013, he returned to Russia and had an accident during the manufacture of a firecracker [according to other sources, the device exploded while he placed it in front of a recruitment office of the army, in Nizhny Novgorod, October 26, 2013 ; NdAtt.]. Because of this accident, he had his left hand amputated and was condemned to another 10 years in prison, for terrorism, the sentence of which was transformed into nine years in a penal colony. He still has six years to serve. The way Ilya was treated is just one more sign of the brutality the Russian state has been using lately against anarchists. Ilya is a comrade who has never compromised with power, and that’s why they want to silence him.

Those who would like to help him and his relatives will find below the account number of his ex-wife and companion Larisa Romanova, as well as the Paypal account open for Ilya. Letters, postcards, expressions of affection are appreciated (when Ilya cannot read, there are bed neighbors in his ward who can help him. For obvious reasons, however, he will not be able to answer letters).

Gières, France: Fire against a techno-scientific research laboratory

March 6th, 2020

IT/FR

The following text is entirely drawn from articles published by the media of the regime.
France3, Sunday 23rd February 2020

Fire has destroyed a building housing a research laboratory in the university area of Gières (Isère), a Grenoble suburb. Firefighters fought the flames during the night and are still in action this morning Sunday 23rd February 2020. A crisis unit was set up between 3 and 4am, as disaster struck in the 1,300-square metres building in rue de la Piscine.

«The fire is most likely to be of criminal origin because a door of the building seems to have been forced and the fire started in several points», announced Eric Vaillant, a public prosecutor from Grenoble.
The flames devastated 700 square metres of the first floor. The damage amounts to several hundred thousand euros, a great deal of research material has been destroyed but there were no casualties. According to the laboratory director «about 10 years’ work» has gone up in smoke. At the height of the intervention 43 firefighters and five firefighting hoses were mobilized. Indonesia / USA: Jurnal Anarki Interview with Anarchist Author Kevin Tucker

March 6th, 2020

From Anarchists Worldwide: The following interview with self-described primal anarchist advocate, writer, editor, independent researcher, publisher, musician and rewilding human, Kevin Tucker, originally appeared in the first issue of the new Indonesian anarchist journal, Jurnal Anarki. Jurnal Anarki is written entirely in Bahasa Indonesian, and this is the first time content from it has been republished in English. We’d like to thank comrade Eat for making this possible!

1. Looking at the Anarcho-Primitivist Primer by John Moore, he explains that Anarcho-Primitivism has nothing to do with romanticizing the primitivist way of life, or as many people love to accuse Zerzan of, suggesting that we go back to the stone age. What do you think about John Moore’s interpretation of Anprim? Do you have a different interpretation, or perhaps even a critique of the Primer?

I don’t know if I would call it a critique of John Moore’s primer, but the ‘Anarcho-Primitivist Primer’ was admittedly a quick and personal take on anarcho-primitivism (AP). It was really only a few pages long, the kind of thing you hand out to contextualize other pamphlets, zines, and books you might have at the same time. It wasn’t meant to be definitive, even though, I would say, at the time it was still effective.

That said, I have a lot of appreciation for John, but his work was still limited by the time and when he died in 2002 there was a lot that had been kind of left unaddressed, to the point where a pamphlet like his earlier ‘Lovebite’ was dated pretty quickly.

A part of that is the terminology and framing. Personally, I’ve been moving towards a framing of “primal anarchy” over the term “anarcho-primitivist” for the last fifteen years now. “Primitive,” as a term, just doesn’t really cut it anymore, but it also reinforces this idea that “primitive” refers to a point in time or place. Like it’s something that has gone or remains in a few places. I think primal is a lot more fitting, which is the direction that Paul Shepard had been leaning in for some time. Italy: Issue 4 of the anarchist paper Vetriolo is out

March 6th, 2020

A year after the last publication, a new issue of the anarchist paper Vetriolo is available. As always theoretical study, analysis of the State, dialogue with the imprisoned comrades remain central. The debate-interview with Alfredo Cospito, locked up in the prison of Ferrara, which concludes here with its third and last part, is a shining example of this.
To checkmate the King above all you need anger. You need blood in your veins. You need transcendental strength, Utopia on the horizon, parallel and contrary to the rhetoric of dominion. But you also need study. You need to think, read, analyse. You need to analyse the forces in place on the chessboard, the availability of the servants, the towers and cannons in defence of the King. You need what the handbooks call the black’s best move. We continue to do this in Vetriolo. Anger and analysis. Reflection, study, creativity.
The topic of internationalism has always been central in the hearts and heads of all of us. The hypotheses that have been put forward in the pages of the paper have stimulated debate and critique. In order to put together part of the debate this issue is coming out with a supplement: “Pagine internazionaliste” [internationalist pages]. Three pieces that as many anarchists of international origin have proposed.

Contents:

– Checkmate to the King
– The Republic of the Lambs
– Without hesitation, always in solidarity. The first instance sentence in the Scripta Manent trial
– The crisis of the State and so-called Italian creativity
– I See Listen Shout
– What international? Interview and dialogue with Alfredo Cospito from the prison of Ferrara. Third part
– Against modern times
– Around illusions and words
– A sinister tale, Part Four (1982-2001)

Internationalist pages:

– With our hearts and heads. Our internationalism
– At the roots of chaos. Contribution from an anarchist comrade of Iranian origin
– Independentism and anarchism. A contribution from Davide Delogu from the prison of Rossano Calabro
– A short informative report on the current situation. A contribution from Gustavo Rodriguez

To order copies, write to: vetriolo@autistici.org

Price of a copy of this issue: 3 euros. Price of one copy, for distributors, with orders of at least five copies: 2 euros. Postal fees in Italy, up to 2kg: 1.30 euros. Free of charge for prisoners. Copies of issues 0, 1, 2 and 3 are still available.

2nd International Meeting: 3 Days Against Techno-Sciences – Italy, July 2020

March 2nd, 2020

PDF: Second international meeting

This year too, we are proposing an informal, convivial and international opportunity for discussion and reflection among individuals and organisations engaged in building an analysis and a critique of what we may call the technoworld. A world which is going through an epoch-making paradigm shift, where all bodies and our very experience have become one of the most important new raw materials. Engineering of the living and digital control are increasingly replacing a large part of the previous market of commodities, which are becoming obsolete. On a planet which has been plundered well beyond its biological limits, the re-designing through synthetic biology and artificial reproduction in a eugenic key of human beings and their management represents the new path forward. This of course for those who will be included in the new power arrangement, for the others no plans have emerged, or perhaps the fact that they have not been presented is already an answer in itself, they will certainly not be satisfied with merely marginalising a part of the world.

For those who ask where the current system, based on systematic exploitation of the planet, can find a way to reorganise itself, incorporating into its discourse the farce of sustainability, the answer lies in taking over human beings themselves: managed, influenced and addressed in their behaviour so that they themselves produce processes which can turn them into commodities. This is the true essence of green and sustainable policies to save the planet from so many catastrophes, of which climate catastrophe is only a part. Human beings who will soon be genetically edited in a process of ongoing perfectibility, where the body will be seen as a limit to be overcome, where what is human will be considered an error, and must therefore continuously adapt to a machine world. A techno-scientific adaptability which will become the only possibility. We can now seem how the cybernetic paradigm, according to which “the environment we live in has always been so radically modified that today we are forced to modify ourselves”, takes a material and dramatic shape. Porto, Portugal: Update on the situation of our comrade Gabriel Pombo da Silva – EN/ES

March 2nd, 2020

One month after the arrest of our comrade Gabriel, who was detained on January 25 in Portugal, the Guimaraes court has ruled in favor of extradition to the Spanish state.

This news does not surprise us, considering the active revenge of the Judge Mercedes Navarro of court number 2 of Girona against Gabriel. This Judge is the same one who, in May 2016, ordered the then Dueñas prison director (of Palencia) to hide the order of Gabriel’s immediate release. Gabriel, after 3 weeks of being “kidnapped” finally tasted freedom on June 16 (for this reason the Navarro was denounced for “prevarication”).

During this last month, Navarro has not stopped pressuring Portugal in order to consign “this very dangerous individual”.

We remember that the main objective of the defense is to obtain Gabriel’s freedom under the “special principle” (thanks to which he was released four years ago without it losing legal validity) and, in any case, avoid extradition, given the Portuguese nationality that Gabriel has recently obtained (Portugal should not extradite its own nationalized citizen).

Neither the principle of specialty nor the Portuguese nationality have been taken into consideration by the court of Guimaraes, which has been limited to giving us the reason to later conclude that it must proceed to the extradition (that is, it cannot resist indifferently to the pressure of Mrs. Navarro).

The lawyer is presenting the appeal to the Supreme Court of Lisbon and until this is pronounced (around a week) Gabriel will remain detained by the judicial police of Porto.

We continue to express all our solidarity … And so that it is not left as an empty word!

FREE GABRIEL!!!

FREEDOM FOR EVERYONE!!!

LONG LIVE ANARCHY!!!

¡¡¡GABRIEL LIBRE!!!

¡¡¡TODOS LIBRES!!!

¡¡¡VIVA LA ANARQUÍA!!!

‘Letter to a Chilean about the current situation (III and last)’ by Gustavo Rodriguez

March 1st, 2020

—To Joaquín García Chanks and Marcelo Villarroel Sepúlveda, comrades and co-conspirators.

“Let’s continue the assault on the existent with all means, undeterred by those who would silence us with weapons from the stockpile of reaction, be they the kick of the democratic jackboot, the empty chatter of opinion or the siren calls of the candy men of hope.”
Jean Weir; Tame words from a wild heart.

“Whomever is determined to carry out their action is not a brave person, they are simply someone who has clarified their ideas, who has realized the futility of striving to play the role assigned to them by Capital. They are aware, and attack with cold determination. And in doing so they realize themselves as a human being. They realize themselves in pleasure. The kingdom of death disappears before their eyes.”
Alfredo Maria Bonanno; Selected Texts.

“Let us put a stop to the conjuring tricks of dialectics. The exploited are not carriers of any positive project, be it even the classless society … Capital is their only community. They can only escape by destroying everything that makes them exploited.”
At Daggers Drawn

When history is written – with capital letters, the one that the victors have always written and will write – about the generalized insurrection in Chile at the end of the first decade of the 21st century, it will have to be read with extreme meticulousness, since it will be reflected in the supposed motivations of the “crisis” that produced the revolt.

Once again, the economic analysis will prevail – with emphasis on “the obscenity of misery” that has caused that uncertain denomination they call “Neo-Liberalism” – and, the poor negotiating capacity of a superb government that failed to meet popular demands and chose for the continuity of a regime of corruption and impunity, a (constitutional) heir of one of the bloodiest fascist dictatorships in the Americas.

However, nothing will be recorded of that anonymous power that shaped the anger of despair, of the nihilistic actions that transformed into a sweeping energy which disrupted normality whilst mercilessly attacking the reality that oppresses us. Read the rest of this entry »
