6 December 2009 : Damage action against strike breaking, scumbag profiteer company
“On the night of 6th December Manpower offices in Bristol were attacked with hammers. All the big plate glass windows on the front of their office were smashed. This action was taken in the face of seemingly overwhelming attacks on workers everywhere by capital and state. Manpower were responsible for hiring 30,000 non unionised “workers” (read “scabs”) to break the recent strike action by postal workers. Well, some of us don’t forget that, as the old saying goes, an attack on one is an attack on all!
Manpower are just a symbol, the epitome of agencies profitting from the race to the bottom, forcing thousands into shitty jobs with no dignity, security or chance of escape, struggling so hard to kep heads above the shit. They oil the wheels of the corporate state , where people are totally expendable to the needs of the bosses and the profit machine. Huge pay increases and rewards for the few, cuts and threats for the rest of us.
The class divide between rich and poor is growing all the time, so we think it’s time we started acting like it!
In the social war, they have nothing to offer us but target practice. Fight the power!”

This morning (Wednesday 2 December) the sentence in the trial against Jurgen and Paolo was given: both were accused of a number of fires in the night between 6 and 7 October, resulting in a 12 months suspended sentence for Jurgen and 6 months suspended for Paolo.
The facts are well known; the theatre of the London G20, the policing arena which left one man dead and scores injured was a spectacle of state/media hype and constructed ‘disorder’. Already April is remembered only for the lies of the police and the ‘kettle’ trap which they set for anyone intending to voice their discontent with an economic system which has betrayed and exploited people everywhere. Update: 29 December 2009, Toby has been released on remand, looks like the “granite” evidence turns out to not be so “granite”.
On the night of 15 November, three posh cars got torched in Friedrichshain, Berlin, as almost every night happens. However, the police arrested a younger comrade who they accuse of two of the arsons. They said he would have also carried gasoline for firelighters on himself. Straight away in the morning, some tabloid press published his pictures and full name and address, since he lives in a houseproject, the Liebig 14 (on the corner of Rigaerstrasse) which is due to be evicted. On the 25th of April 2007 happened in Lisbon an anti-authoritarian demo against fascism and capitalism. Close to 500 people took part on a march through one of the city’s richest areas, where paint was thrown at shops, banks and a riot cop van and slogans were spray painted on walls. To this shamelessness the guards of democratic order replied with a police charge and beatings against the demonstrators and everyone who were passing-by. Read the rest of this entry »

Panayiotis Masouras is accused of being a member of the ‘Conspiracy of Cells of Fire’.
On Wednesday September 23 and at 8.15 as I was leaving my house in Galatsi on my way to the gym, I was arrested by 25 persons of the anti-terrorist squad.
In a matter of seconds I found myself on the sidewalk, hands cuffed behind my back, while at the same time they were informing their senior officers that “everything went well” and that they “have me”. I was taken to the 12th floor of Police Headquarters (note: anti-terrorist division). The next day I am informed that at the same time with me another two friends of mine have also been arrested.
In the meantime the show has already started. Without any sleep for 48 hours and physically exhausted, with my face to the wall and then a long questionnaire following, while at the same time some police officer goes from office to office announcing in a delirium of pleasure that what is happening is called war. 10 months ago, on 18 January 2009, Elijah Smith, a former British Soldier was arrested in Brighton. He had spent the previous night decommissioning the EDO/MBM/ITT factory in Brighton, in an attempt to stop it providing parts for weapons being used by the Israeli army to bomb civilians in Gaza. Nobody was injured or harassed during their action, which was one of property damage. He and his co-defendants did not resist arrest.
Exactly 10 months on and Elijah Smith is still on remand. Yes that’s right – 10 months in prison without trial. And it looks as if he is likely to remain in prison until the trial actually starts, probably on 17 May 2010, by which time he’ll have spent 16 months on remand.
Elijah is currently at Bristol prison, please write to him in solidarity:
Elijah Smith VP7551,
19 Cambridge Rd,
He will be there until late November. On 30 November/1 December he and the other Decommissioners will be at Brighton courts for a ‘case management’ session relating to their trial next May. At the same time, Elijah and another decommissioner, also known as the Raytheon 2 (previously the Raytheon 3, but 3rd defendant’s charges dropped), will have that case discussed at the same court – the prosecution are trying to have the Raytheon and EDO cases linked, and a decision is due on that then. Elijah faces a third court case, currently set for 2 August 2010, which relates to alleged threatening comments he made to the EDO/MBM CEO during a previous court hearing.
Ronnie Easterbrook died on hunger strike 10th May 2009.
Ronnie Easterbrook was convicted in 1988 for the attempted murder of a policeman during an armed robbery that was set up by the police and a police informant. The only person who died was his fellow would-be robber who was shot dead by the police. Police had lain in wait, with a TV camera crew in-tow and ambushed the gang. The man shot dead by the Police, Tony Ash, was unarmed and already surrendering to them. Read the rest of this entry »
Join us in Copenhagen on the mass protest on the 12th of December, 2009!
The catastrophe is real and climate change is one of its many symptoms. The COP15s inevitable talk of saving the world from the climate crisis is an elaborate hoax to disguise the COP15s true purpose: to restore the legitimacy of global capitalism by inaugurating an era of green capitalism. A new rhetoric of saving the climate will exist to justify their repression, their fortified borders, their colonial resource wars. To give the Emperor new clothes. Our response to this astounding lie is an uncompromising and absolute NO to their system.
More has to be shaken than our holiday habits to sustain the world for times to come. It would be foolish to pin our hopes upon the very people who continue to kill off the planet for money. At Copenhagen, they will argue over how to properly create a market to commodify and so pollute the biosphere, dispossessing millions of people from their land to profit from destroying what remains of our earth. Governments and corporations will not sacrifice their growth to reduce carbon emissions, or only do so in order to create a new authoritarian regime for themselves.
The entire rhetoric of the climate crisis and the financial crisis is a cynical maneouvre by the state spin-doctors to deny the all-encompassing crisis of self-declared civilization. The COP15 will only attempt to hide the war that capitalism is waging against all life on the planet, a war that has spread across the entire globe for the last five hundred years, a war that encompasses the totality of even the oceans and atmosphere. In the midst of war, one does not talk of management and technical solutions. You cannot fight a war by pretending the war does not exist, by blinding yourself to repression and becoming complicit in accepting the false-promise of a petit bourgeois tranquility. Instead, one recognizes the enemy. One chooses a position. One fights.
Only by ridding ourselves of those who claim to be representing us and by defeating the ideology of endless economic growth, industrial production and consumption can we take control of our lives and planet. It is time to state: we are going to consciously attack the structures supporting the COP15: we will break through the lines of their police; we will refuse to negotiate with warmongering governments and the embedded media; we will refuse to side with sell-out NGOs and all the would-be managers of protest; we will refuse all governments and governance and not just de-legitimize the present ones.
It is time to state why we think that insurrection is needed to actually begin the change everybody is so desperate for. Acting together in fundamental opposition to those in power we might get a first glimpse of the richness and opportunities possible when ideas, experiences and concepts are shared amongst people from all over the world.
Yesterday evening, Monday the 16th of November, 26 year old anti-fascist Ivan “Vanya Kostolom” Khutorskoy was shot to death at the entrance to his home at Khabarovsk street in the east side of Moscow; according to some information with two shots to his head.
Vanya was a great figure in the Russian anti-fascist movement, and I am sure many people will write down their memories of him in the days, months and years to come. But as of today most of his friends are too angry and too shocked, at the loss of this friend and comrade. Read the rest of this entry »
