7 COP15 prisoners left in custody (Denmark)

December 27th, 2009

There are still sitting 7 people in prison after the summit in Copenhagen. Show your solidarity by sending them letters or drawings and posters, because this is one of the few opportunities we have, to show them that they are not alone. The systems wants to break people by putting them in prison and one way they use, is that they try to isolate prisoners from the outside as much as possible. We will not let them break our comrades! Do the riot thing! – Support the Fittja 10 (Sweden)

December 24th, 2009

Update: The one person from Fittja10 still remaining in jail appealed her continued incarceration and was, much to everyones’ surprise and joy, released! Now she spends time with her loved ones.

During the last year, riots and arsons have spread through urban areas in Sweden. Youth in poorer communities have started fires and attacked firefighters and cops on arrival. The unrest is clearly linked to a discontent with the situation they face; the segregated cities, the poor living conditions in their areas, the discrimination they face in mainstream society. Wherever they go they carry their areas’ reputation with them. Read the rest of this entry »

December 19th, 2009

by Edward Julious on behalf of Cleveland Anarchist Black Cross

On Easter Sunday, April 11, 1993, a riot broke out at the infamous Southern Ohio Correctional Facility at Lucasville. Attack against "Komsomolskaya Pravda" in Moscow (Russia)

December 15th, 2009

10 December 2009 : An anonymous group of anarchists and anti-fascists committed a small attack against tabloid paper “Komsomolskaya Pravda”, which is one of the most circulated in Russia (according to some sources they sell 5 million copies). Some windows were broken, some rocks and smoke bombs thrown.

Statement of the attackers (in Russian)

They state that they targeted KP as it is viciously anti-migrant and anti-antifa, and they have a number of well-known Nazis working there.

Short video

For some reason this action was a very controversial and there is a huge amount of disclaimers in various sites and blogs.

How To Radicalise Muslim Prisoners

I want to highlight an incident that has seriously affected my situation in prison. Firstly, allow me to put what happened into context. I am serving a ten year sentence. Since my conviction I have been exemplary in my behaviour and incurred no disciplinary reports or adverse intelligence reports prior to the incident I am about to describe. I am of Pakistan origin, although until relatively recently had not experienced any discriminatory treatment in prison or ill-treatment at the hands of other prisoners. Read the rest of this entry »
