Offices of Justice Secretary Ken Clarke attacked in Nottingham (UK)

June 5th, 2011

2 June 2011

“Direct action was taken against Ken Clarke’s constituency offices on Thursday. While doughnut eating cops were dozing near by, the Tory social club on Rectory Road, West Bridgford had its doors D-locked shut and “Tory Scum” painted on it. The offices of the Rushcliffe Conservative Association across the road were attacked with paint and the messages “Class War” and “Fuck Ken in the Head” were painted. Read the rest of this entry »

'Why a Vanguard?' + 'Fictional Movement or Real Movement?' by Alfredo M. Bonanno

June 4th, 2011

Why a Vanguard?

Fictional Movement or Real Movement? [+ Cover label]

2009-2011/ Elephant Editions

Translated by Jean Weir

325 is pleased to present for the first time in English, these two new free online PDF editions from well-known anarchist-insurrectionalist comrade, Alfredo M. Bonanno, translated and produced by Elephant Editions. These pamphlets consist of two sections from ‘Movimento e progetto rivoluzione’; sections which analyse and explore the role of the anarchist revolutionary project within mass social struggle, and also the changing nature of that struggle, with differing political and subversive structures contrasted and examined in regard to their direction and impetus, and not only. We welcome you to print out and distribute these texts to interested readers, which cut to the heart of the topics of, amongst others; movement politics, minority struggle, and widespread social change, with their prescient nature and enduring critical value.

Download here: Why a Vanguard?

Original title: Avanguardia, perche?
Published in: Movimento e progetto rivoluzionaria, Edizioni di “Anarchismo”, January 1977

From the introduction:

“The ideas that follow are aimed at going into the problem of the relations between the movement of the exploited and the revolutionary anarchist movement.

The conclusion is very simple and constitutes the starting point of a reflection that we are proposing to all comrades: it is not within the enclosure of the specific anarchist movement that one works for the revolution, but outside in the reality of struggles, which at this moment do not see us present. In this sense the anarchist movement still has a long way to go. In the face of the urgency of the situation it has become imperative for all sincere revolutionary anarchist comrades to reflect on the ways and conditions of organising oneself to contribute to the widening, in the libertarian sense, of the present situation of crises and discomfort.

The time for hesitation and waiting is over. May whoever is available for the revolutionary struggle seek his or her comrades and not indulge in waiting for a sign or clarification on the part of the specific movement.”

Sections:
Why a vanguard?
The organisational question
The illusion of quantity
Authoritarian group and libertarian one
The relationship between groups: the vertical structure and the horizontal one
Authoritarian boss and libertarian leader
An attempt to examine the character structure of the libertarian militant
The conflict between total and partial
Revolutionary alienation
Revolutionary tension
The solution of the problem of the vanguard

Original title: Movimento fittizio e movimento reale,
Published in the volume Movimento e progetto rivoluzionario, Edizioni di “Anarchismo”, June 1977.

From the introduction:

“Following on from the text ‘Why a Vanguard?’, the present work continues to go into the problem of the relations between the movement of the exploited and the revolutionary anarchist movement.

The anarchist revolutionary project is the bridge that is thrown in the direction of specific reality, uniting the experiences of selforganisation that are often singularly isolated. It is also the overcoming of the distinction between anarchist minority and movement of the exploited; from the moment the project is in course, all barriers start to fall and one finds oneself struggling for a common goal.”

Sections:

The movement of the exploited
The anarchist movement
Fictitious movement and real movement
The real anarchist movement
Organisation
The dangers of the primacy of doing
The false dilemma between theory and practice
The first contact with the reality of the struggle
More on the misconception of the quantitative growth of the minority
Contact with reality and the consequences
The fragmentary nature of the reality of the struggles
The revolutionary anarchist project

A Few Considerations from the Zoo by Comrade Martino Trevisan (Italy)

June 3rd, 2011

A piece of writing from Martino Trevisan, one of the comrades arrested in Bologna on 6th April (Operation ‘Outlaw’) and currently detained in Vercelli (Via del Rollone 19, 13100 Vercelli, Italy).

Dozza, 7th May 2011

Here we are again: first our arrests in Bologna, then the same thing in Florence. All my solidarity to the comrades hit by repression in Florence. This provokes anger and indignation in me, but it doesn’t surprise me.

It doesn’t surprise me because ‘anti-anarchist repression’ against those people and situations of struggle that set themselves in a revolutionary perspective has never stopped. Read the rest of this entry »

Banks smashed in Bristol (UK)

June 2nd, 2011

1 June 2011

From IMC UK:

Action against banks claimed in Solidarity with Stokes Croft rebels.

In the early hours of June 1st TWO banks on Gloucester Road in Bristol had the majority of their windows and ATMs smashed out with hammers. This was in despite of the still increasing number of high quality security cameras along that stretch of road and the surrounding area, and despite of the fact that those involved knew it was a well used police route. Bleached clean hammers were used to avoid finger prints and masks and all disposable clothes were used for the cameras. Read the rest of this entry »

Urgent : 325 has received news of a tragic accident during a resistance action involving 2 comrades in a district of Santiago, against a Santander Bank in the vicinity of “Mega” Television channel. This young brother has lost his eyes and arms in an act of social war, and could lose his life over the next days. He is under arrest in the hospital with searches and investigations beginning for his circle. The hospital has been banned from giving any more information about his condition. Our hearts, force and power to Luciano and his friends and family.

More infos from: Viva La Anarquia

Breaking news of an immediate act of solidarity with Luciano, or ‘Tortuga’ (Turtle), as he is known to his close ones, can be found on the excellent anti-info website Culmine. Not one step back from the struggle – HONOUR AND DIGNITY TO LUCIANO – COURAGE AND STRENGTH TO ALL.

Received from Arde Moyano Records:

At 2:25 a.m. on Wednesday, Luciano Pitronello Schuffeneger (aged 22), who was travelling with a passenger on a motorcycle, it was decided to install a 1 kg extinguisher filled with black powder in a branch of Santander bank located between Victoria street and Vicuña Mackenna, Santiago, against the television channel “Mega”. Due to a flaw in the timing system the bomb exploded while being handled.

Luciano is in a life threatening condition and has lost both eyes and both arms. When the bomb exploded, Luciano began to burn and run, being aided by a taxi driver who went out with a fire extinguisher. At this time Luciano is in the central hospital hovering between life and death, in an artificially induced coma in a critical condition and also in police custody. His companion fled the scene on the motorcycle that is being sought by police.

Luciano was part of a group of squatters who suffered the raids of December 11, 2011 [1] and his name was in place 62 of the list of 182 investigated by the Bombs Case [2]. His home, where he lived with his girlfriend, was raided. We are waiting for if the police will do more searches and also about the comrade’s state of health.

Soon there will be update videos about the situation on the youtube channel of Arde Moyano Records: [3].

SOLIDARITY WITH LUCIANO!

Received from Arde Moyano Records:

* * *

Brothers and sisters, we want to correct some wrong information that we released on Luciano.

1: He was NOT part of any squatter group.
2: What happened was that he -during the raids of december 11th, 2009 – in solidarity with comrades of the Sacco and Vanzetti Squat and as he did, police carried out an identity check.
3: This does NOT mean that Luciano has a connection with the comrades of Sacco and Vanzetti Squat. It is true that luciano and public attended the activities held there, but do not forget that these activities were open-ended and they were attended by those of a wide range of ideologies, even police infiltrators.
4: It is absurd to think that Luciano has a connection with other bombings. It is absurd to make any assumption without hearing words from the very mouth of Luciano.
5: We clarify that -because of some criticism that we received- we will not repeat what appears in news bourgeois. We did not say the Luciano’s partner “leaving him alone in the place”. We believe that Luciano who accompanied that night took one of the hardest decisions that mere humans like us can understand.

Cheers for all.
Honor for Luciano.

Letter from Dimitris Hadjivasiliadis, anarchist prisoner (Greece)

May 31st, 2011

Dimitris is an anarchist who was arrested in Athens earlier this year after police stopped and controlled him, finding a pistol.

To all those who perceive my captivity as a point of showing governmental terrorism, to all those who perceive my captivity as a capable point of promoting new resistances, to all those who perceive my captivity as a starting point of promotion of the insurrectional struggle.

From the 2nd of February I am a hostage in a prison of the state. Because of the fact that I was at a spot occasionally checked by the police-terrorism mechanism, armed. The police used this coincidence and put forward my detention, because I am an anarchist. My imprisonment is another attempt of deterioration of the insurrectionist social struggle, an enterprise of inactivation of one more fighting person and intimidation of those who resist the governmental – capitalistic savagery. Letter from Christoforos Kortesis, imprisoned anarchist accused of membership of Revolutionary Struggle (Greece)

May 31st, 2011

About the unprecedented judicial approach of my (re) imprisonment

Freedom, the dignity as a field to hold games of power or alternatively… a judicial coup d’etat of the modern democracy (junta?).

One year after my cinematographic arrest and my imprisonment with the charge of participation in the organisation Revolutionary Struggle and of each separate action of it, without extravagances and drum sounds came my release with a unanimous decision of the Council of Judges of appeals of Athens (6-04-2011). A decision that to me tends to brings my case to its real dimensions (complete lack of evidence against me), besides the initial cinematographic police-judicial production. A few words from S.Tzifkas, G.Skouloudis, D.Dimtsiadis, B.Tsilianidis for Theofilos Mavropoulos (Greece)

May 31st, 2011

A few words from imprisoned Greek anarchist comrades S.Tzifkas, G.Skouloudis, D.Dimtsiadis, B.Tsilianidis for Theofilos Mavropoulos, who was shot and arrested by police after a shoot-out where another comrade managed to escape by stealing an empty policecar. Strength and courage to all those who fight and never give up. Long live the new generation of revolutionary urban guerrillas – Long live the insurrection. We will win…. Our day will come…

“ I know that there are endless shores and trees inside the sea.

And love is an important thing.

Only we had decided to change the world.

And this does not happen with the countryside. We had said this.

We searched to find weapons.

We knew that we all die, but there are deaths that burden because they choose the way.

And we decided:

DEATH TO DEATH BECAUSE WE LOVE LIFE A LOT”

This is a moment where no word can worthily frame an action. At least not from our mouths. Let us only be allowed to express a deep comrade appreciation, a warm revolutionary embrace, for the noble revolutionary with the wild dreams, Theofilos Mavropoulos who denied to surrender to the appetites of the state and to the alania [street kids trans.] that continue the journey they had begun with him.

Each drop of blood that is poured from the bodies of revolutionaries waters the flower of freedom in the desert of a slave world.

Strength to anarchist revolutionary Theofilos Mavropoulos.

Good continue to his comrades and and to those who every moment of their life are ready to give it ALL FOR THE STRUGGLE.

Communique for the bombing of BBVA-Bancomer branch (Mexico)

May 29th, 2011

from Culmine, translated by War on society:

The 23rd of May, at 2am, we set off an explosive device in the branch of BBVA-Bancomer located at Calzada Ignacio Zaragoza and Agua Caliente in the Iztacalda Delegación of Mexico City.

The target chosen is not accidental. This bank, Spanish in origin, is the second largest bank in Latin America and the first in management of pensions and securities. These are some of their “corporate responsibility” strategies: fomenting military conflict in the world by financing armament companies and armament trade, financing of cluster bombs (used by Gadafi to bombard Misrata in Libya), laundering drug trafficking money, financing of highly polluting projects (the Heavy Crude Pipeline (OCP) in Ecuador, Gasyrg pipeline in Bolivia, ENCE mega-papermill in Uruguay and financing of open-pit mining in Chile and Peru), financing of Repsol YPF and Iberdrola (which product energy in part from fossil fuels) contributing thus to CO2 emissions and climate change.

Although Mr. Mancera labors to disqualify this morning’s action, speaking of hooligan youth with their faces covered, through this communique we want to say that we have motives for attacking these symbols of capital. In the face of what we consider strategies of extermination, we will respond with fire until the last of these neocolonial companies disappears from this country and from the world.

We claim this action as a form of solidarity with our imprisoned comrades in Chile. With this action we also remember compañero Mauricio Morales who fell dead when an explosive device went off that was to be used against the School of the Gendarmería.

Solidarity knows no borders. Nor does insurrectional action.

For the destruction of the capitalist system

For the freedom of the 14 political prisoners of $hile

For the freedom of our imprisoned Mexican comrades Adrián Magdaleno and Braulio Durán

For the freedom of our imprisoned comrades in Greece, Belarus and EU

In memory of Mauricio Morales and Patricia Heras

Communique of actions for Mauri by Praxedis G. Guerrero Autonomous Cells for Immediate Revolution (Mexico)

May 29th, 2011

from Culmine, translated by War on society:

We claim ourselves the agents of the following attacks with explosives:

*The placement and detonation of the explosive device that blew up in the Santander [bank] at Tlalpan and Normandía streets, Mexico City.

*Explosive device against a Starbucks located on the commercial avenue “Paseo de la Reforma,” Mexico City.

The morning of the 22nd of May of 2009, a warrior for freedom left us, but he will never be forgotten, he will live forever in the anti-authoritarian offensive, which is directed against the promoters of insane violence and of social control. Punk Mauri died in combat, struggling against the enemy, fighting for his ideas, despite what the enemies of our rebellion say, comrade Mauri died in the direct solidarity struggle with the comrades caged in the prisons of the state.

What happened yesterday is our way of remembering him, of showing what between ourselves stays alive–the spirit of that iconoclastic warrior: attacking those he always attacked, committing an outrage against the system of domination and the social peace that he, like us, loathed. Without mediation in our struggle and with our firm convictions. His words remind us every day that we must not take even one step back, that beyond our fronts there lies a capitalist world that needs to explode. One bomb, two, three…. Arm yourself and become violent, beautifully violent, until everything explodes… Arm yourself and combat the terrorism, burn, conspire, sabotage and become violent, beautifully violent, naturally violent, boldly violent… Anarchy does not die in the mouth, it prevails in active hands… were his words and his action.

The targets against which we directed our attack this time are part of the machinery by which the state/capital continue to remain intact. The banks and capitalist businesses are what dominate the world in this new stage of capitalism: technological capitalism. They are who, with the ownership of the economy, make, direct, and control the life of millions of slaves of the illusory well-being, the life of a society submissive to the longings to receive crumbs from power. Not to mention the banking institutions finance the construction of new public and private prisons in which they exploit the prisoners for the supposed purpose of reinsertion, obviously a reinsertion into capitalist society. They are in part those responsible for sexism, misogyny, destruction of the environment…

The devices were made from metal cans, butane gas canisters, screws and dynamite. All these actions are minimized by the inferiorist [a play on the words “inferior” and “interiorista” meaning person in the ministry of the interior – transl] Miguel Mancera in a clear intention to cover up the anarchist offensive and who, on seeing his order upset and his security evaded, with decaying arguments and explanations intends to explain the components of our devices, our form of action and our motives, which he certainly will never understand, since our motive is to annihilate the system that protects him. His lie-laden declarations contradict the version he gave to a TV journalist after the explosive attack against the Santander in Navarte in April of last year.

A greeting of solidarity to compañero Gabriel Pombo… We are with you… always with the rebels!!!

“We are not in agreement with what they impose on us and we will destroy those who press on us many problems we will have to face but more will be the reasons to struggle nothing imports on us that we have to fight now that our struggle will never finish… We will not allow them to control our lives and we will struggle against all authority not only the bad times will exist, there also will be moments of great joy. We should initiate subversive actions to stop thus power from reaching freedom…”

STRUGGLE!!! STRUGGLE!!! STRUGGLE!!! UNTIL THE END!!!

STRUGGLE!!! STRUGGLE!!! STRUGGLE!!! FOR YOUR FREEDOM!!!

For freedom, for anarchy…. For the multiplication of bombings and actions against the state/capital!!!

Against the prison society and the police state!!!

For the expansion of the social war on all fronts!!!

Mauricio Morales… Presente!!!!

Claim of incendiary attacks, Curicó (Chile)

May 29th, 2011

21 & 23 May 2011

from Culmine, translated by War on society:

We are a small stone of the mountain, a drop within the ocean, a sigh running through the wind, we are the minoritarian struggle, the despised, the dangerous, the reckless, those who love violence, those who make the fire to sing the insolent song of their dead…

The early morning of Saturday the 21st we made our approach to the PDI [investigative police] headquarters located on Rodríguez street in the heart of Curicó and we placed a fuse-lit incendiary device under a bus, at one of its wheels, located some 100 meters from the place; the truth is that it appears this set off an alarm, so that while we were quickly getting away we heard fire sirens approaching the place, and so we did not make sure after, the bus only suffered minor damage. Two days later, the morning of Monday the 23rd, we set fire to a barricade in the northeast sector of the city at the intersection of Av. Colon and Av. Balmaceda.

We wish to dedicate these fires to the memory of Punk Mauri, at two years since his parting, also we send strength to comrade Gabriel Pombo da Silva recently repressed by his jailers, our minds and hearts are with you in these difficult moments, not forgetting the countless warriors imprisoned around the world, to Silvia, Costa and Billy in their hunger strike, to the latest hostages captured by the Greek dictatorship especially to Theofilos Mavropoulos, the comrade wounded by the police in a clash and likewise to the anonymous combatant who took flight, to the warriors who fill the $hilean dungeons, and to those who fly far away in their insurgent escape.

Solidarity with anarchists Christoforos Kortesis, Sarantos Nikitopoulos and Vaggelis Stathopoulos (Greece)

May 29th, 2011

In Greece 3 anarchists accused of being part of the armed group ‘Revolutionary Struggle’, have had their provisional liberty denied to them after a reversal of a high-court judgement freeing them before trial. Here is a translation of a poster flyposted in the Greek streets with the info, from Actforfreedomnow. The comrades always denied their involvement, but never hid their anarchist radicalism.

THE UNPRECEDENTED JUDICIAL COUP D’ETAT* DOES NOT SURPRISE US.

THEY ARE JUST AN EXPRESSION OF THE MODERN JUNTA THAT HAS BEEN IMPOSED ON SOCIETY.

On April 5th 2011 in the frame of the forecasted judicial process, the council of judges of appeals decided unanimously and irrevocably the release of the 3 anarchists Christoforos Kortesis, Sarantos Nikitopoulos, Vaggelis Stathopoulos (already their imprisonment has lasted 12 months), who are persecuted for the Revolutionary Struggle case and from the first moment deny the charges.

*However on May 19th 2011 the Supreme Court, with a secret and precedent legal move, reverses this decision methodizing their (re)imprisonment!

THEY SHOULD KNOW, ALL THESE AGENTS OF “JUSTICE” AND “LEGALITY” WHO DO NOT HESITATE TO TURN INTO RUBBER EVEN THEIR OWN LAWS THAT NO COMRADE IS ALONE.

HANDS OFF OUR COMRADES.

In solidarity
