Starting from somewhere – Scattered remarks
To begin, we want to share our joy with you . The joy we feel because as we write, we feel, that despite being locked inside the walls of captivity, a part of us is out there free along with you, discussing, doubting and planning new sabotages against the authority of the social apparatus.
Of course, this could never have happened if it wasn’t for the valuable contribution of comrades who keep us informed about the international experimentations of new anarchy and strive to translate our texts.
So, the following notes come from a series of discussions we had inside the CCF Imprisoned Members Cell, on the occasion of the international gathering in Mexico.
The thoughts we want to share during this meeting are not some kind of an official view. As anarcho-nihilists, we do not believe in any absolute and objective truth. On the contrary, we want to set a starting point. One more challenge for thought, experimentation and onset towards the sharpening of the anarchist insurrection. This continous search of theory and praxis keeps anarchy alive and dangerous, far from ideological stiffnesses. (more…)

The past two days, we have read in various police snitching websites and newspaper columns, targeted leaks by the anti-terrorist agency, which connect Inter Arma with the FAI/IRF”s projects “Phoenix” and “Green Nemesis” and claim that these are all part of the same guerrilla campaign. These specific snitches are known for targeting the comrades who participate in diffusing militant anarchist theory and action. The enemy has long ago realized the role that counter-information and translation projects play in the diffusion of Black International and in the communication between guerrilla formations all around the world. This oppression strategy, is nothing more than a known war tactic· the silencing of the opponent’s transmitters.
Projects like Inter Arma, have been targeted again in the past. We remind you that during “Ardire” operation in Italy, two counter-information projects (Culmine, ParoleArmate) and one publishing project (Edizioni Cerbero) had been hit by repression, a situation which resulted in many of them being pre-trial detained for many months. It is also known that the states of Greece and Italy co-operate against their common inner enemy.
We will not go even an inch back from our positions, nor will we change the nature of our project. We participate in an international network of similar projects and we support militant anarchy’s groups, prisoners and guerrilla cells. We have made our choice and we tend to keep our word.
For New Anarchy and the Black International!

No experience can be summarized with a bit of ink and paper.
Even less the experience of someone who decided to provoke the dominators with every possible way and any place. There are no pages which can effectively illustrate someone who died while fighting against authority. Inside these pages therefore, is not the whole of Mauri’s life.
We do not condense all of his experiences and the moments our paths met.
We honestly desire that this is not the last collection of his writings.
We are not owners of his thoughts, the events he experienced or his analyses.
We hope that more material related to him will come to light, not as a fetish, not as a day on the calendar, but probably as a memory longing its moment.
MAURI, THE INSURRECTIONISTS DO NOT FORGET YOU

A CONVERSATION BETWEEN ANARCHISTS
What follows is a conversation between the imprisoned members of the CCF and a number of anarchists from Mexico. The questions are asked by various comrades of the country, not only by those of the editorial group Conspiración Ácrata. We thank the comrades who helped us with the huge job of translation from Greek into Spanish, and the comrades who helped us in making the conversation with the imprisoned comrades possible. Solidarity greetings to all of them and to our comrades of the CCF!
This dialogue came out for the first time in May 2012, in Spanish, in the Mexican anarchist magazine Conspiración Ácrata.

First release of Black International Editions: "Mapping the Fire" – International Words of Solidarity with the Conspiracy of Cells of Fire (CCF)
Monday, October 8th, 2012
PDF: English & Spanish versions (Click “Save As” to download)
“This pamphlet is a meeting point of comrades from all over the world. An imaginary meeting since the walls and bars of the prisons where we are temporarily keep our bodies hostage. But our meanings remain free, escape from the cells of prison and are expressed with words continuing to provoke authority.
Words that still smell of fire and gunpowder, words which carry with them all of our hate for the system, words unrepentant and armed, words which transfer stresses and desires, words which break the isolation of prison, words full of passion for the mutiny we want to continue, words from Chile, Mexico, America, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Bulgaria, Indonesia…
The letters sent to us by the hostage comrades, replying thus to the international call of solidarity of the CCF is not just mail between prisoners.
Our plan for a Black International of imprisoned anarchists, is not simply “a nice theory” which begins and ends inside printed words. It is the deposit of memory which exists, in a move forward.
A memory which does not always count its moments with common terms and common reference points. By reading this pamphlet someone can discover an international galaxy of points of views and positions with comrades whose references speak of the class war and the proletariat and others who speak of nihilism and anti-socialism.
This difference for us is not a contradiction. On the contrary it reveals the invisible line which connects all forms of anarchy and dispute into an international revolutionary front which has as its aim to destroy every form of authority.” Conspiracy of Cells of Fire : Imprisoned Members Cell (Excerpt from the Introduction)
Today in Greece, October 8th, a trial for the case of the Revolutionary Organisation – Conspiracy of Cells of Fire will take place in a specially converted room in the female prisons of Korydallos prisons. The trial concerns the arrests in Volos and the arrests on December 4th, the sending of the 14 incendiary anti-system parcels and the clash in Pefki, 17 comrades are on trial. There will be a solidarity demonstration at the courthouse of the female prisons of Korydallos on this day at 9am.
This publication, the first from Black International Editions, is released online and in paper format from three countries – Greece, Chile and United Kingdom, as an act of solidarity and confrontation to this court process against the CCF and their co-accused. The words of the anarchist prisoners who have responded to the international solidarity call of the CCF meet with the statements of the groups of the international network for counter-information and translation. Together with the armed words of the CCF, a new international revolutionary front is drawn out, this new publication maps the fire that has been spreading across oceans into many territories. In the words of Eat, imprisoned member of Long-Live Luciano Tortuga Cell, FAI Indonesia:
“We are the new chaotic virus, the ghost of freedom, the uncontrollable international plague of revolt.”

"Breaking down the myths of prison" – Solidarity to Olga Economidou by Conspiracy of Cells of Fire & Theofilos Mavropoulos (Greece)
Sunday, May 13th, 2012
“Turn off the main switch in this dump. Here the beautiful becomes ugly, the choice becomes a habit and the meaningless important. Prison dirties creases and swallows pieces of dreams, desires, thoughts and feelings. Its most permanent residents, the majority of the prisoners are now a part of the appliances of the prison. Bars, yard, cameras, locks, prisoners mix all together and re-enact the world of captivity. Nothing is worthy in here. Come let’s go and don’t look back… Only fire will cleanse this place… ”
Prison and its numbered residents. Prison and the degradation of its prisoners. Prison and its myths…
Behind the iron door of prison which closes, there is a captive world which has nothing to envy of the “free” world. Away from the illusions of an alleged value code of the outlaws, a make-believe solidarity between the prisoners and supposed self-organized struggles and revolts, the society of the prisoners is the mirror of the law abiding society. Athens – CCF – VICTORY OF THE HUNGER STRIKES -ANNOUNCEMENT 1-5-2012
Translated by boubourAs/Act for freedom now!
“A battle has been won but the war does not end here…”
After 23 days of hunger strike, we come out as winners against the corruption, defeatism and captivity that dominate in the world of prisoners.
We wrote: “We made a decision… we fight till the end…” We stood consistent to this choice of ours even when we saw our brothers Gerasimos and Panagiotis leave and be hospitalized in a bad condition at Tzanio hospital. Because from all that is written, we love what is written with blood and sealed with actions. All the rest is hollow babbles and a waste of time. (more…)

Athens: Letter from CCF imprisoned member Christos Tsakalos, who has been on hunger strike from April 8th (Greece)
Wednesday, April 11th, 2012
‘When one does not die for the other, then we are already dead’
I am not a humanist and therefore will not talk like a humanist. I place myself on the side of the anarchists of praxis. In the battle for a free life without leaders and minions, often a price to pay is the prison. This price has been imposed on me a year ago, since I am imprisoned–CAPTIVE by the State. Captive but not defeated; because for me, as an anarchist urban guerrilla, prison is a temporary stop but never the terminal. During this whole year, I did not allow prison to tame or to ‘correct’ me, or to subdue my body and my memory through the dead repetition of the time-jailer.

Athens: CCF imprisoned members Gerasimos Tsakalos and Panagiotis Argirou declare hunger strike (Greece)

‘The tigers of wrath are wiser than the horses of instruction’ [William Blake]
Each of us knows that to get his life in his hands, he must refuse the dialogue and the illusions of democracy and come into conflict with the Power, having his knife between his teeth.
From the first moment of our imprisonment, we chose not to surrender to the dictatorship of the penitentiary system. From the first moment, the State and the antiterrorist unit’s Tagmatasfalites (security battalions) sent specific commands to the prison service, in order to give special treatment both to us and the other CCF comrades. Letter from the Imprisoned Members Cell of the CCF to Culmine & Parole Armate concerning the recent raids (Italy)
Friday, April 6th, 2012
Translated by Act for freedom now! / boubourAs:
For a few days now has begun one more oppressive operation against anarchist comrades in Italy. Some comrades were arrested, interrogated, some got conditional discharges and others, house arrest.
The cops raided houses in the areas of Pisa, Chieti, Genoa, Catania, Ravena and elsewhere. The operation included the Carabinieri of Perugia, the Antiterrorist and the team of Technical Investigations of Rome. Amongst the arrestees, were also 4 anarchist comrades who were persecuted for “criminal organization of a subversive nature”. From the confiscated objects from the houses of the comrades, this time the cops showed special interest to their email communication with Gabriel Pombo da Silva, Marco Camenisch and the members of the Conspiracy of Cells of Fire. During the investigation the email account of Culmine and Parole Armate was broken into and copied. By the cops.
Don’t say that its over…
Through these few words we send a comradely signal to all those who participate in Culmine and Parole Armate helping in the translations and the spreading of communiques, texts and letters from prison for the spreading of insurrectional anarchy.
Right now the Black International of the anarchists of action is a fact. Nothing would be the same without them. Especially this last year an international anarchist galaxy is created by individuals and autonomous groups who, whether support the FAI/IRF, or not, the attack the existing, communicate with their concerns, exchange thoughts.
They are the comrades with no name, the friends without a face, they are all of us who wore a hood and became bombers of authority symbols, bank robbers, saboteurs of their normality, and arsonists of social peace. Through Culmine and Parole Armate we share experiences and close relations with these unknown comrades from around the world.
This sharing is a moment of the continuous attack against the dogmatic thought, the mass culture, the society of useless information. Through Culmine and Parole Armate blossoms the real polymorphic dialogue of the anarchist insurrectional internationalism, not just in the words, but in practice. Because words fill the pages just like bullets slide into the chamber of a gun.
Ready and armed to give their own battle. Words that hit the normality of daily life, words that escape from the prison cells, words that are whispered conspiratorially before the moment of the attack, words that turn into actions, words that don’t beat around the bush, words clean like our look and conscience.
This wind of thousands of untameable words and anarchist actions visits numerous times the crossroad of Culmine and Parole Armate, for a moment, so it can explode and create again thousands of new moments of chaos and anarchy.
Culmine and Parole Armate is the secret harbour of chaos where words mixed up with actions and thoughts disguised into gestures go back-and-forth continuously in indeterminate and informal formations of attack. By stealing and rephrasing the words of the comrades Parole Armate we can say that the project of Culmine and Parole Armate is a result of the will of some anarchist individuals who deny the meaning of the official syntactic team and instead of that invite all those are interested in the spreading of insurrectional anarchist texts, to create relations and situations which liberate and are ready to be materialized outside the virtual frame of the internet.
For us the anarchist undertakings of Culmine and Parole Armate were created from the thought and desire of some comrades who discussed, managed from some hands which liberated meanings and disputes and belong to whoever considers them a piece of the individual and collective struggle for anarchy and chaos.
No matter what happens because of the attack of the Italian police, Culmine and Parole Armate will remain for ever a meeting point of comrades and friends, an unmade map of the Black International of Anarchists of Action.
Until we meet again
Solidarity to the comrades who are persecuted by the Italian state FOR EVER IN BATTLE FOR THE REALIZATION OF THE BLACK INTERNATIONAL OF THE ANARCHISTS OF ACTION

Second trial of the ‘Halandri case’ – Day 2, December 20th, 2011
Special court of Koridallos women’s prisons
Before the hearing was adjourned, the four defendants made a statement. Christos Tsakalos read it after explaining that, ‘We want to read a political statement in regard to the facts of our recent attempted escape from Koridallos prisons. Initially, the issue may seem irrelevant to the court’s case, nevertheless it has a direct relation, for a specific reason. This attempt of ours not only conveyed a message to Koridallos prisons and the entire prison system in general, but also to this court.’
The full text of the statement, a copy of which was filed in the court records, is as follows:
POLITICAL STATEMENT of the R.O. Conspiracy of Cells of Fire
This statement is made to clarify and publicly state our position in relation to our recent attempted escape from prison.
The fact that we are captives in the prison cells of democracy does not mean that we accept for a moment our position either as prisoners or as defendants before the civil court-martial that you have set up against us. There will never be either a prison guard to lock up our soul or a judge to rule on our values. We are eternal enemies of law and order and eternal prison breakers.
Obviously these few following words cannot describe the miserable conditions inside penitentiaries that are experienced by those inmates who have not given up their dignity, but carry it with them in each and every isolation wing, each and every disciplinary unit, each and every transfer, each and every torment, each and every beating…
You, the appointed military judges of the judicial mafia, may give out sentences to hundreds of years in prison sitting on your benches, obeying the hands which move you as puppets, but you should know that our willingness for freedom is catching fire day by day.
With your decisions, as modern hangmen, you bury people in tons of concrete and bars, thus hiding the consequences of the rotten system that you serve. As for us who are anarchist urban guerillas, you wish to retaliate and punish us because you know that your names and those like you are already written to the list of our future targets. The prison, in which you send people as easily as you leaf through the case files, is a huge mincer that grinds bodies, feelings, thoughts, imagination…
It’s a sterile mechanical world where orders from loudspeakers, lockings of prison cells and the noise of human resignation are echoing.
The vast majority of inmates have made a fools’ agreement and surrendered their freedom and dignity in exchange for a day wage, a temporary leave, a promise of parole or even for nothing.
All discussions about the humanization of the penitentiary system are nothing but foolish and hypocritical talk. The solution is one; you either escape or destroy the prison.
Within this choice of ours, we heard knocks on the wall also from different circles of fellowship and met people who shared with us the common desire for freedom. We can say clearly that we are proud of our choices and the relationships that we have built with them through our joint attempt to escape, even if it did not live up to our aspirations. Unhappily, we stood less fortunate than we wanted, while stupidity found its expression in a homunculus-guard showing that it is powerful.
Some people will rush to talk about failure.
Yet, our escape succeeded. We escaped from the defeatist acceptance of our role as prisoners. We escaped from the sleep up by psychiatric drugs that are generously distributed in prisons, from the benefits of day wages, from the illusions of future leaves and paroles, and we acted as anarchist revolutionaries.
If the work of jailers and judges is to lock the prisons’ doors, ours is to unlock and violate them. Even though we failed to release our bodies, we released our existence even for a few moments, occupying a space in prison.
This sense is unique, and we do not regret anything.
Besides, we struggle for a freedom beyond the official version of the laws and values of this society. This struggle cannot either be tried or imprisoned.
Today, many people die from traffic accidents, drug addiction, industrial diseases. Others accept the death of boredom and loneliness, sunk in the conventions of a law-loving life. We choose to risk our lives for the leap to freedom, even though there is no safety net underneath. There is nothing more important than that.
Now, we lost a battle, but not the war. We are looking forward.
Each time promises a new project, a new collaboration-friendship, an unexpected chance which lies before us dangerous and subversive.
Besides, what matters is not if you get caught but if you surrender within you…
