A publication of green anarchist art, poetry, stories, rants from ‘so called-Australia’
PDF: Beyond the Dark Horizon.
“We are in a new epoch of breakdown what will it mean to not have a horizon … to have no map of how act … to have only shifting sands to cling to and be in a world radically different than that of the last 10000+ years? What does green anarchy mean today.”

For a few weeks now, almost three billion people have been forced into home detention.
In Italy, as in other parts of the world, the first people who rebelled against the worsening conditions of their survival, the prisoners, have been repressed with dead and wounded.
While science proposes conflicting theses, part of the scientific community states that the quarantine period, although in alternating phases, will last at least until next year.
The state, however, has already chosen which truth to propagate to justify the measures taken. Forced isolation at home is being prolonged, the only proposal-constriction made to the population is to obey and wait by watching and self-surveillance… but for how long?
For now the end of the measures has been postponed until April 13th, but most likely there will be further extensions…
April 25th is the feast of liberation. Liberation not only from Nazi-Fascism, but from all forms of oppression.
The oppression of living in a world where movements are continuously controlled and monitored, with checkpoints, soldiers everywhere, drones, cameras, electronic bracelets.
The oppression of being individually considered as infected if we do not respect the laws and think that socializing and the possibility of going out are not transferable in exchange for the security of survival.
The oppression of living in terror of the invisible, because the problem is not the virus, but the ecological and social conditions in which it spreads. (more…)

From Anarchists Worldwide: The following interview with self-described primal anarchist advocate, writer, editor, independent researcher, publisher, musician and rewilding human, Kevin Tucker, originally appeared in the first issue of the new Indonesian anarchist journal, Jurnal Anarki. Jurnal Anarki is written entirely in Bahasa Indonesian, and this is the first time content from it has been republished in English. We’d like to thank comrade Eat for making this possible!
1. Looking at the Anarcho-Primitivist Primer by John Moore, he explains that Anarcho-Primitivism has nothing to do with romanticizing the primitivist way of life, or as many people love to accuse Zerzan of, suggesting that we go back to the stone age. What do you think about John Moore’s interpretation of Anprim? Do you have a different interpretation, or perhaps even a critique of the Primer?
I don’t know if I would call it a critique of John Moore’s primer, but the ‘Anarcho-Primitivist Primer’ was admittedly a quick and personal take on anarcho-primitivism (AP). It was really only a few pages long, the kind of thing you hand out to contextualize other pamphlets, zines, and books you might have at the same time. It wasn’t meant to be definitive, even though, I would say, at the time it was still effective.
That said, I have a lot of appreciation for John, but his work was still limited by the time and when he died in 2002 there was a lot that had been kind of left unaddressed, to the point where a pamphlet like his earlier ‘Lovebite’ was dated pretty quickly.
A part of that is the terminology and framing. Personally, I’ve been moving towards a framing of “primal anarchy” over the term “anarcho-primitivist” for the last fifteen years now. “Primitive,” as a term, just doesn’t really cut it anymore, but it also reinforces this idea that “primitive” refers to a point in time or place. Like it’s something that has gone or remains in a few places. I think primal is a lot more fitting, which is the direction that Paul Shepard had been leaning in for some time. (more…)

JOIN US FOR ANOTHER WEEK OF ANTISPECIESIST ACTION, WORKSHOPS AND SKILLSHARING.
20th – 25th May, Hambacher Forst.
(looking for a different language? check the bottom of this page for BASQUE, CATALAN, DUTCH. FRENCH, ITALIAN, SPANISH, SWEDISH, GERMAN)
The third edition of Liberate or Die: From Cage to Freedom will aim to open a space in which we can come together, share skills, and attack speciesism. As before, the gathering will take place in the Hambacher Forst occupation, a focal point of anti-capitalist and climate justice resistance across Europe.
THIS EVENT IS ACTION-FOCUSED.
Aside from just sharing skills, every day of the gathering will be a day of action in which we can put new knowledge into practice. We want to motivate people to initiate actions autonomously, without seeking permission from mainstream/reformist organisations. There will be a range of possible actions depending on your particular interests and risk levels. Some actions may be suggested, but you are invited to come up with plans for yourselves and act spontaneously.
THIS EVENT IS INTERSECTIONAL.
We want to emphasise the interconnections between antispeciesism and all other struggles against oppression. That means bearing in mind different privileges that we hold and maintaining a space which aims to challenge all hierarchies and further total liberation – something that will also be reflected in the workshops offered. This is not a space for those with racist/sexist/homophobic/etc. views who have infiltrated some animal rights groups over recent years.
THIS EVENT IS FREE.
You don’t have to pay to attend! Even if donations are welcome, we believe people shouldn’t have to pay for anything. This event can be hosted for free because we self-organize – everyone attending is part of the crew, and is encouraged to take part in the maintenance of the gathering. If you see a job it’s yours!
THIS EVENT IS SQUATTED.
The gathering will take place in an autonomous land occupation. That means collectively taking care of the forest ecosystem – keep to the paths, pick up your trash, respect the wild. It also means keeping an eye out for intrusion from the state. Participants should be aware of the likelihood of intervention by cops, whether covertly or in uniform. Information will be shared on arrival on legal rights and how to deal with the filth.
Let us know if you have ideas for workshops or other questions.
More info and list of workshops to follow.
Spread the word and stay wild!!

FIVE AFFIRMATIONS FORMED IN SMOKE AND FIRE
1. In these fires we see the ongoing violence of more than two centuries of colonisation on this continent. In attempting to eradicate the sovereignty of First Nations people and their connections to country, so much long-held knowledge about taking care of this land has been dismissed. Instead of a holistic and interconnected relationship with the environment, there is a relationship based on domination and possession.
A colonial society is not capable of establishing a nourishing relationship with the environment.
2. In these fires we see the devastation that is arriving due to climate change. While mining and the fossil fuel industry should be targets of our anger, they do not speak to the entirety of the devastation. Industrial farming of water-hungry crops like cotton and rice while rivers run dry. Livestock churning through the soil as erosion leads to desertification. The logging of old-growth forests. The links in the chain connect to our whole way of life.
The scale of devastation is systematic, and so the entire system becomes our target.
3. In these fires we see the outcome of a complete disregard for life beyond generating wealth. And we know that there is no changing course within capitalism, with its endless drive for the next source of profit. The destitution that it inflicts upon all life and the environment through insatiable resource extraction has been noted. We won’t be fooled by desperately staged attempts at green-washing.
Capitalism will get no further chances.
4. In these fires we see that there is no way forward in rebuilding back to the way things were. This might not be the end times or the apocalypse – it might simply be the new normality. Catastrophe, followed by catastrophe, followed by doing the best we can to recover. But if ‘recovery’ means desperately trying to return to a way of life that is untenable, we’d rather not. Colonised people have been living and fighting through catastrophe for a long time. Do the rest of us feel that we have enough skin in the game now to join them?
There is not much positive in this disaster, but from these ashes we can build something different.
5. In these fires we see that those who govern us – no matter what party they represent – will never provide for us, even in the hardest of times. Just ask one of the volunteer firies fighting the flames. If it wasn’t Scotty from marketing, it would be some other insufferable fuckwit. They protect wealth and the economy, while playing on anxiety and fear. They do nothing to sustain us.
In these times of crises, we can only turn to each other in solidarity and mutual aid.
This country now has its own climate refugees, joining millions of others from all around the world. We have seen people risk everything to assist each other, sharing resources and caring for others. This kind of humanity need not be reserved for extreme situations. While it might start the people immediately alongside us, the alliances we build and the mutual aid we enact will have to cross borders and reflect the global scale of what we are facing.
As the extreme becomes normal, so can our solidarity.

A concern of ‘each and every one’
Forecasts and the misery of the political world
In the past weeks we could experience relatively high temperatures again. So one heat record year beats the next. British climate researchers recently presented a model to calculate the temperature rise in the metropolises until 2050. Vienna is one of the cities most affected, with a temperature rise of 7.6 degrees Celsius compared to 1850, the year that is more or less considered the beginning of the Industrial Revolution.
The consequences of global warming are melting of sea ice and glaciers, sea level rise, thawing of permafrost soils (which will release even more CO2), growing drought zones and desertification, increasing weather extremes, extinction of species, etc.
In addition, there would be further social, political and economic aggravations. Like famines and water shortages, deaths and illnesses caused by the enormous heat and epidemics, wars over dwindling resources and usable territories and a global migration movement. Just to name a few.
To pick out just one aspect here: If we remember how the political classes and European politicians reacted to the so-called “refugee crisis” in 2015. When we saw how borders were militarized, plans of action developed and powers for the military and police expanded. Not to mention the agitation of the mass media and the general racism, nationalism and panic that has been fostered by politicians, media and other opinion makers. And this was about a more or less still calculable number of people, in relation to what will happen if more and more parts of the earth become uninhabitable. Depending on how fast and drastically these developments will take place, we are talking about the largest migration movement in the history of the human race! (more…)

via Winter Oak/Acorn, check original for full links, not included here due to hostile sources. Against the techno-capitalist nightmare future:
“Wow, this is unbelievable!” tweeted Greta Thunberg in response to the news that she had been named Time magazine Person of the Year for 2019.
Only it wasn’t, because the owner of Time is one of the wealthy business people who have been aiding and abetting her meteoric rise to fame.
What is truly unbelievable is that there is still anyone out there who has not grasped that the Greta brand (rather than the person herself) has been carefully manufactured and exploited to promote a particular block of vested financial interests. (more…)

New blog launched as the response to the COP25 summit is underway. This blog serves to encourage people to participate in the protests, questioning and pointing to the real leaders of the destruction of the earth. Those leaders will sit these days to make decisions about the destiny of the world, promising to fulfill agreements that they have all breached since all this time and driving us at their pace towards disaster.
We cannot leave the future, if it exists, in the hands of these miserable deceivers!
Let’s confront them, so “that they can’t say we didn’t do anything”.

December 2nd, the rulers of the world are coming to Madrid. Some of the biggest murderers of this planet, of the biggest responsible of its devastation. They come to fill their mouths and calendars with the next plans of “fight against climate change”. While global capitalism continues intact and most of the CO2 emissions emanate from industrial production, while their companies keep devastating forests and mountains to extract its natural resources.
And if that wasn’t enough, at the same time, Chile burns and their streets are still covered by the ammunition caps from the security forces. But Piñera couldn’t see his political planning disturbed by the revolt, he couldn’t admit the mediatic focus questioning his dictation before such a social explosion. And thanks to the kindness of Spanish government, now he will be able to continue with his plans without getting disheveled.
But in Chile, normality couldn’t be held anymore, and we neither want to hold it here. We won’t allow the world leaders meet to design the destruction under the look of sustainability and respect, as if everything continues to go normally. As if they haven’t been destroying all this time, as if they wouldn’t carry thousands of corpses in their backs. We won’t give them such legitimacy. Also, because we know, that the best way to show solidarity with the rebels is nothing but extend the revolt. Like in Hamburg, we want this summit to become hell.
Therefore, we encourage the system enemies to meet in Madrid, in the dates when the world owners have their appointment in this city. Stay aware to the next calls and infos. There will be enabled spaces to host those coming from other places.
On the other hand, neither do we trust that politics gestated in parliaments and offices will stop the destruction or stop the way to the collapse, that is increasingly inevitable. But we trust in the ability of every one to act, individually or in groups. That’s why we want to make a call for decentralized action to point the responsible of environmental destruction. Politicians won’t act against the Capitalism interests, but we do. Against climate change; direct action.
Attack those who destroy the Earth.
Sunday, September 15th, 2019
Various institutions, environmental groups, trade unions and student groups gathering under the name “Fridays for Future” have announced a so-called “Week for Climate” from the 20th to the 27th of September. Basically this week consists of programmed and alienating demonstrations in which the State and other institutions (UN, G7 etc) are being asked to remedy or take action against the disaster they are causing. In their simplistic and reformist discourse they never criticize the cause of the ongoing devastation: industrial techno capitalism and its technocratic organization of the world. They are the ones who criticize climate change without criticizing those who produce it: they have a corpse in their mouths, those who defend the myth of progress, of sustainable development and of a ‘comfortable’ life in exchange for slavery and the commodification of every aspect of our lives, a life sold to technological domination. They are the ones who have purchased the new fashionable product, climate change, from the supermarket of rebellion. Fridays for Future? Today more than ever the future does not exist, we live in an eternal present and any vestige of the past has been erased. The technological prostheses that surround and colonize us make us live in a continuous state of sleepwalking, where the catastrophe is not about to come as they insist on warning us, the catastrophe is here and now, the catastrophe is the alienating life directed by the algorithms of our ‘virtual assistants’, the catastrophe is a world already devastated by industry.

Art, Ecology, Resistance 2016
2015 was recorded to be the hottest year in the history of mankind. Meanwhile the recent typhoon Yolanda was tagged to be the strongest storm, which has already been exceeded by other storms from other countries. Changes in weather patterns has become unexplainably irregular. These are the symptoms of Climate Change, which is for the most part caused by human activity.
People had invented technology that rely on limited sources such as minerals from underground. The act of taking and processing materials like these causes substantial amount of carbon, which heats up the planet at a faster rate. This heat affects the whole world. A cold place snows up easier, while hot places dry up more more easily. It also storms more often in places where rain usually falls. Sadly, this kind of deluge hits developing countries often. February 24 2016: The eco-activists known as the ‘Heathrow 13’ were today sentenced to six weeks suspended for 12 months for aggravated trespass at Heathrow Airport in July 2015. The eco-activists had made a direct action blockade of the runway to highlight the destructive effect of man-made climate-change, particularly against the ongoing effect of emissions at Heathrow Airport, which led them to occupy the airport’s north runway on 13 July 2015 causing up to 25 flights to be cancelled.

From The Acorn:
Tear gas and grenades were fired by French riot cops against brave activists who defied martial law in France – and more than 200 people were arrested.
Thousands took to the streets of Paris against the hypocrisy of the industrial capitalist system and its phoney COP21 climate summit.
For their pains they were kettled, intimidated, attacked and gassed by the cops. “The state of emergency is a police state, a fascist state!” they shouted in defiance of the brutal force deployed by a state which has been so busily depicting itself as a victim, rather than a perpetrator, of violence.
