Athens: Armed attacks against Mexican and French Embassies – Communique from the ‘Organisation of Revolutionary Self-Defense’ – ‘Towards a New International Revolutionary Movement’ (Greece)
Tuesday, November 14th, 2017
On Sunday 31st of August, a little before dawn, we carried out an armed intervention against the Mexican state, by shooting at the building of its embassy in Athens. On Wednesday 9th of October, at quarter to five a.m. we carried out another armed intervention against the French state, by throwing a hand grenade next to the guard of its embassy in Athens, opposite the Greek parliament. These two aggressive actions of our organization, together with our first armed intervention on the 25th of May 2014 against PASOK, defy in deed the armed domination of the Greek state and at the same time they express the vision of social revolution and of the dissolution of authoritative institutions here and now.
In order to construct a revolutionary movement on sturdy foundations, we must study the defeats of the past. We must focus on the contradictions of past movements and analyze the dynamics of class antagonism today, as a result of a historical evolution. The totalitarian capitalist aggression, which began two and a half decades ago and spreads around the globe, is connected to the fundamental crisis of the socialist movement.
The main contradiction which brought about the demise of the revolutionary wave of the 20th century is statism. Parliamentary democracy, dictatorship of political parties and, at the same time, the repression of workers’ self organization implanted bourgeois authority in the loins of social revolutions, ever since the French revolution. The revolution in Russia was led by a political and technocratic elite. (more…)

NEITHER GUILTY NOR INNOCENT
For the State, terrorists are those that endanger its interests. Fed up with this reality of fear, corruption, police abuses, media manipulation, some decide not to give up, and fight. For this they are persecuted.

SOLIDARITY WITH IMPRISONED ANARCHISTS
TEAR DOWN THE WALLS OF ALL PRISONS

“Group of Popular Fighters”, which in the past had carried out an attack with Kalashnikovs against the German ambassador’s residence in the Athens suburb of Halandri on 13 December 2013, has taken responsibility for a similar attack on the Israeli Embassy which took place 12 December 2014.
Last week an anonymous caller rang mainstream news outlet Efimerida ton Syntakton and told them where they could find the USB stick which contained the claim. The document of responsibility is 19 pages long and has not been released yet.
The armed attack against the embassy followed a similar operational detail as used in their previous attacks, validating their claim, plus the results of the forensic ballistics confirmed that the weapons used in the attack were the same as the previous bloodless and highly-symbolic attacks which the group has taken responsibility for.
The armed group first appeared on 14 January 2013 when it carried out an attack on the New Democracy party headquarters on Sigrou Avenue. The group took responsibility for the attack in a statement released six months later.
During that attack a group of four people had attempted to fire a rocket at the offices, which however failed, as was explained in the communique issued by the group.
Another attacker subsequently fired 9 bullets at a window on the third floor. The bullets penetrated the glass with one bullet falling adjacent to (Ex-President) Antonis Samaras’s desk.
The attackers then left the scene in a Toyota Corolla that had been stolen a few days earlier. The charred remains of the vehicle was found in an empty lot 3-4 kilometers away.
The group’s second attack came on the 30 December 2013 when at least 4 people arrived outside the residence of the German Ambassador Wolfgang Dolt in the Athens suburb of Halandri. From the street the attackers sprayed the building with at least 60 bullets. The majority struck the outside of building including the outside wall of the room in which the ambassador’s daughter was sleeping. Another bullet entered the living room of an apartment behind the ambassador’s residence.
A statement was later issued claiming responsibility for the attack in which they stated that it had been carried out in memory of Dimitris Christoulas, a man who had committed suicide in Syntagma Square in April of 2012. “Dimitris Christoulas made the choice to give his life a tragic ending, as opposed to living a tragic life,” the authors wrote, adding, “However this act was not isolated, it did not concern only him and the dead end he had reached.”
In the same declaration the group revealed a double failure in its attempts to strike a Mercedes Benz dealership in a northern suburb of Athens with a shoulder fired missile on the 12th of January 2014, writing:
“On Sunday the 12-01-14 at about 23.00 we succeeded in approaching the target without being seen and this time we attempted to not have a repeat of last year’s misfortune outside of the offices of New Democracy, despite the fact that we came close to this outcome. And this because on the first attempt to fire a rocket against the offices of Mercedes, it once again failed due to faulty ammunition, however this time we employed the second rocket that we had brought with us and which ultimately fired normally and took the predetermined course. The fact that even as this text is being written about our attack it hasn’t become – in any way – known to enforcement authorities and to the media leads us to the following conclusions: either there has been a pathetic attempt to cover up the action (which will be revealed in the coming days after the publication of this declaration), or, because of our erroneous choice of shooting position, (possibly far from the target) the rocket did not travel the desired distance and is located around the perimeter of the Mercedes-Benz offices.”

from contrainfo, transl. waronsociety:
In the early hours of Friday August 29, 2014 the ambassador of the Spanish state’s mansion walls in Quito were painted in solidarity with Mónica Caballero, Francisco Solar and the rest of the State’s prisoners. This action was framed inside of the International Week of Solidarity with anarchist prisoners. Although the damage was not much and due to logistical problems the actions was not carried out in all of its splendor, any attack against the State’s institutions and its representatives should be celebrated. The same night the Israeli embassy was attacked as well, tearing down its dirty flag in support of the Palestinian people and the “Anarchists against the wall” organization.
Their mansions will be converted into their gallows, our prisons into their death sentences. From the city of Quito all support and solidarity with imprisoned compas.
Long live the vandal nights!
Long live the insurrection!

Cell of Revolutionary Action for the Destruction of the State – Autonomous Cells for Immediate Revolution – Praxedis G. Guerrero claim responsibility for sending 2 explosive packages to the Greek embassy (Mexico)
Saturday, June 16th, 2012
“The struggle against the government turns into, in the final count, the physical and material struggle… The government makes the law… It is thus necessary to prepare oneself morally and materially so that, upon the explosion of the violent revolt, the victory will be the people’s…”
– Errico Malatesta,
“Anarchist Program” (Bologna, July 1920)
in Umanità Nova, August 12, 1920
This physical and moral preparation is a latent necessity that should be present in the everyday of our lives and actions. When the anarchist has at an individual level decided to take a step from talk into daily action, this action acquires in her life a strong sense, a strong importance, a potency that gives way to continue forward and to not look back to yearn for the comfort of her cowardice and ignorance. When an individual or collective project is put on the table, the anarchist feels herself already in the humble necessity of giving everything for this struggle that she has begun, since for her it is not a fashion. Anarchy is life itself, and in her the revolutionary fetishism that sometimes manages to commodify revolt is put aside, it is not important to dress in black, green, blue or yellow, or at least these folklores–personal tastes–do not strongly relate with the strength of her struggle, she does not identify in and with them. It is not important to her to fetishize weapons and guerrilla strategies since she knows well that that this is only an inevitable consequence in the struggle against power; nor even is it important to her to fetishize violence. Today, September 22, 2011 a group of comrades paid a visit to the Chilean embassy in London in solidarity with Luciano ‘Turtle’ Pitronello, on the day he is due to appear in court to be formally charged concerning an attack on a bank in Santiago which resulted in him being seriously wounded.
A long banner was immediately unfolded outside the embassy as other comrades tried to enter. The embassy officials refused to open the door and within seconds sirens could be heard screaming. Five motorbike cops arrived, followed shortly after by a red cop car with armed special cops. Everybody in the small group stood their ground, shouting ‘FREEDOM TO LUCIANO PITRONELLO; ALL STATES ARE TERRORIST; HANDS OFF MAPUCHE LAND’.
This attracted the attention of neighbours, building workers and passersby, most of whom were curious to know who Luciano was and why we were there. Many took leaflets and actually read them, more than a few wishing ‘Good luck’!
As they left, the comrades continued to display the banner, walking (followed by the cops on motorbikes) along the streets housing some of the biggest mafias on the planet and their henchmen – Buckingham Palace, Scotland Yard, Parliament, Westminster Abbey, etc etc. Some tourists snapped pictures of the banner and took leaflets.
Greetings, Luciano, from some rebel spirits in London, and also from a few strangers who for a moment were jolted out of their daily routine. Your strength and courage are inspiration and instigation.
“Forward everyone! And with arms and heart, sword and pen, dagger and gun, irony and curse, theft, poisoning and arson, let’s make… war on society! …” (Dejacque)
THE LEAFLET HAND OUT TODAY:
FROM PINOCHET’S DICTATORSHIP TO PINERA’S DEMOCRACY
All over the world young people are fighting for their lives, their future. They have been born into a reality that can no longer conceal the massive gulf between the minority active in plundering the resources of the planet and the great masses who are being made to pay for their voracious greed and the consequences of related investment and banking procedures.
All this is carried out within the context of democracy, its rhetoric, moral imperatives and daily deception by the media aimed at perpetrating this swindle. People are brainwashed into accepting integration and collaboration in this ‘society’ as the only possible life perspective, while at the same time, due to the very needs of the mechanisms of post-industrial capital, they are excluded from doing so from school onwards.
In Chile this process has come to the attention of the world thanks to the massive protests that have been taking place over recent months and are still going on. Everybody knows about Pinochet’s ruthless dictatorship and are happy and relieved at the thought that Chile, like the other ex-dictatorships of Latin America, are now well-established democracies. But the people of Chile are no longer prepared to suffer this new form of oppression in silence. The Mapuche people have fought ceaselessly against the theft of their land and plundering of its resources to feed international capital. Since 2004 anarchist and anti-authoritarian action has grown explosively, in the streets, neighbourhoods and universities, showing the rejection of authority, the State and Capitalism. Over recent months university and school students have occupied their colleges and taken to the streets in an attempt to overturn years of neo-liberal education policies such as mass privatisation, and massive cuts in education budgets. In struggles which extended to teachers and school pupils as well as students all sorts of tactics have been tried alongside the mass demonstrations in the streets in which two young people have been killed by the police. There have been massive arrests and huge public support for the demonstrators, including the banging of pots and pans by residents of Santiago.
In this context many diverse groups have decided to pass to the offensive, attacking banks, police stations, churches, shopping centres and other structures of oppression and exploitation. In this way they are recognising who the real enemies are and where they conceal themselves, at times boldly entering the panoptical urban labyrinth to strike them, only to disappear into the night. These small attacks are carefully planned not to hurt or wound anybody, only to damage the structures of power.
But one freezing dawn of the month of May 2009, a young anarchist Mauricio Morales, is killed when the explosive charge he was carrying blew up in his hands. Following his death that was grotesquely exploited by the media, police invaded his surroundings and circle of comrades. After years of investigation the diverse police organisms had been incapable of finding the people responsible for the attacks. It takes its revenge by attacking 14 people and accusing them of forming an illicit terrorist association and carrying out the majority of these attacks in a sensational media-propelled ‘Bombs Case’ which is visibly crumbling after continuous struggle by the accused and their comrades.
In spite of such attempts by the forces of repression to silence these forms of struggle, there are still those who use all the instruments possible to fight against power.
Sadly on June 1, 2011, a terrible accident stains a new date in the calendar with blood. That cold dawn anarchist comrade Luciano Pitronello, 22 years, takes the terrible blast of the shockwave of a homemade bomb placed in a bank.
Luciano is severely wounded. His right hand and three fingers of the left one have been amputated. His eyes are seriously damaged and he can only distinguish indistinct forms. His hearing has been damaged and he has had dozens of skingrafts to his body. He continues to struggle, pushing his body to heal and facing the moral and judicial consequences.
In fact, today, 22 September 2011, Luciano (Turtle), will face the formalization of the charges against him in front of the Chilean judges. Still convalescing from his wounds and wearing a special suit for burns, Luciano will have to appear before a crowded room not only of judges lawyers and police, but also the mercenary journalists. The revenge he will receive is double – judicial and exemplary in order to give a clear signal to all those who go beyond the submissive citizen routine and the peace of cemetries imposed by normality. Power yearns to turn the life of our comrade Turtle into the example of punishment, to instill fear and stagnation into all the dissident sectors of the democratic theatre.
Immediate freedom for Luciano Pitronello!
Love and solidarity. Your rebellion has not been lost in this ocean of filth.
