(more…)

Groups of Two or Three

Monday, September 15th, 2014

(From Die Lunte)

The north side of Paris consists of a large area of social housing. The old industrial area has gradually been compressed into the east side; in between, on the northeast side, the mansions and villas of the rich spread out.

The police guard the industrial works, the east side and the houses of the northeast. But they rarely dare to venture into the north side. There the night is dangerous. When the police do venture into the north side, it is at great risk and those who do so are not squeamish. If a youth does not stop when ordered to do so, a cop shoots, or if the youth is on foot, he will simply be run over by a patrol car.

Something happened, centered in the city quarter of Noisy-le Grand. Hundreds of people took to the streets, and not just young people but adults as well, and not just blacks. It was reported as several confrontations between the police and the people in revolt and a few burning cars. Then it was claimed that the situation had normalized.

But in the days that followed, completely different characteristics developed: people did not appear in the open on the street corners to demonstrate, but joined in the complicity of the night. They formed into groups of two or three people, hundreds of small groups for systematic attack. A high school was completely destroyed. Three occupational schools blazed. Hundreds of parked cars functioned as chains of light. A bank was attacked and destroyed with molotov cocktails. In the city center there were hardly any shop windows that were not destroyed or plundered. Fire extinguishers were demolished. Gas and water pipes were sabotaged and garbage cans were set ablaze.

Solidarity with Enrico Villimburgo of the Red Brigades (France)

Friday, May 23rd, 2014

More than 30 years ago many militants from armed groups took a train and left from Italy. In the latest ’80s a good number of them arrived in France, being the first of the waves of those who had the urgency to put as many kilometers as possible between them and Italy, where repression was striking hard.
After that first sigh of relief many others followed with every rejected extradition request and with every granted provisional freedom decree.
Actually, as time passed by, we started to believe that Francois Mitterrand would keep his word. The group of Italians, hardly a community, was growing larger, inventing new forms of survival, betting their future on an informal declaration. All around solidarity was sprouting in the host nation, where the vicissitudes of Italy were followed closely, included the authoritarian drift that the Italian society was taking. (more…)

Damien Camélio, imprisoned member of the GADI (International Direct Action Group) announces hungerstrike in solidarity with prisoners of Iberia, Corsica, Euskadi (France)

Wednesday, April 23rd, 2014

I took the decision to subject myself to a total hunger strike.

My demands are of an anti-prison, libertarian and political nature.

As far as I don’t want to create a hierarchy among the prisoners, it seems to me logical to demand first of all the liberation and easing the penalties for those who are being held hostage for their courageous struggle for freedom of all.

Before I start, I feel that I need to remind something to the French ‘socialist’ government. One of the first measures applied by M. Mitterrand, that you claim all the ideological affiliation with, was amnesty for the prisoners of different organisations involved in a social struggle (like Action Directe, ETA, FLNC, ALP, …) To answer my demands by saying that the political situation back then was different, would be completely irrelevant. As a socialist party, you cannot deny the social pressure mounting on the poorest, you cannot deny that capitalism was ever so aggressive as it is today, neocolonialism so widespread and vicious, and the degeneration of society into fascism so present. Calais: Fascist attacks continue against Rue Émile Dumont, Coulogne & call-out for assembly (France)

Monday, February 24th, 2014

Read this: Calais: Communiqué from people inside Rue Émile Dumont, Coulogne

325 receives and transmits:

UPDATE 8AM Monday 24/2:

Local Calais media are reporting the demonstration of around 50 racists continued through Sunday. The fire brigade were called after a group of men were spotted nearby by neighbours with jerrycans of petrol to prepare more molotov cocktails.

ASSEMBLY AGAINST FASCISM AND FOR TOLERANCE. AND SOLIDARITY

Call-out from anti-racist residents of Calais.

Gathering with music and dance, words and food.

Saturday 1 March 2.30 PM. Place d’Armes, Calais.

We are indignant to see that hundreds of people are living in the street whilst houses are empty and abandoned. Indignant about the passivity or hostility of the authorities and for the demonstrations of fascist hatred in these last days.

These fascists do not represent Calais. There are also many more people who have been engaged for years, as individuals or with groups, in hospitality and openness.

Whether we are long term residents of Calais or passing through, we will come to share a moment of tolerance and solidarity.

More information: here and here.

Calais: Fascists mobilise against squatters – International call-out for support and solidarity (France)

Saturday, February 22nd, 2014

Solidarity desperately needed in Calais to resist fascists mobilising against a squatted farm house. Up to 50 fascists have been present, throwing rocks & fireworks, with a few who have tried to smash their way in with a sledgehammer. Support needed!

See here and also here for more info and updates.

Paris: SPIE utilities vehicle torched (France)

Tuesday, February 18th, 2014

On the night of February 11-February 12, 2014, a vehicle of SPIE burst into flames, on Carducci street (ΧΙΧe).

SPIE is involved in the nuclear industry, in the optical fiber digital network and in the “1,000 cameras” plan, in the city of Paris. For these reasons, it must be attacked everywhere, all the time.

Snitch hunting has begun!

We send a greeting of love and struggle to the comrades whose trial started on February 3, in Koridallos women’s prisons. For anarchy!

Paris: News Briefs from Lucioles #8 and #9 (France)

Friday, June 28th, 2013

from Lucioles, translated by waronsociety:

Lucioles [Fireflies] is an irregular newsletter containing texts of analysis and agitation in Paris and the surrounding area and analysis of everyday life from an anarchist perspective. We discuss different manifestations of insubordination and attacks in which we can recognize ourselves and uncover potential rupture against the State, capitalism and domination in all its forms by attempting to connect them each to everyday life. We do not desire to represent anyone or defend any particular piece of territory which is a scale model of this shit world. (more…)

Paris: ATMs and a loyal citizen smashed (France)

Saturday, June 22nd, 2013

“Not a minute of silence
a life of battle!”

There is nothing more tragic than the death of a comrade, whether at the hands of the state and its cops or their historical allies, dirty nazis today are partly responsible for the death of Clement. The enemy is elsewhere in the state and capital, and in any mode of management thereof, as democratic fascism.
But the time of sadness happened, just that of anger and revenge. Finished with T-shirts and “rest in peace”, finished with vibrant homages mechanical eyes journalistic scavengers, and also done with political negotiations and recovery. It is time to attack the world that produces the fascist waste of Democrats and their false enemies.

Two ATMs bank smashed to the ground between Belleville and Republic, a citizen trying to stop us loses a tooth and fails to make smash too, night of Tuesday, June 18.

This is our contribution, our anti-fascism.

For Clément: with rage in our hearts, never forget, never forgive (France)

Friday, June 21st, 2013

From sudsciencespo:

Wednesday, June 5. Only a few days have passed, yet it seems like it has been an eternity. Since the death of Clément, we have been caught in ceaseless currents of grief. Nothing, perhaps not even the years and the experience that we do not yet have, could prepare us for the death of a friend and comrade. In spite of this, we have not been granted time for mourning, as the murder of Clément was a political murder. And a murder such as this requires a political response.

The world has not stopped out of respect for our tears, so we, out of respect for Clement, cannot stop in turn. We need to raise our heads, turn our pain into anger and our rage into strength. We want the immense pain, the irrepressible anger, rage, and strength which live in these words, to give Clément’s death the meaning he would have wanted to give it: a political meaning. (more…)

Paris – Attacks on a bank and political headquarters (France)

Tuesday, June 18th, 2013

from indymedia, translated by waronsociety:

Neither Justice Nor Peace

A week after the murder of a comrade in Paris by fascists,* a week after the ever-so-democratic police raid in Barbès…**

… a bank ATM burned in Montreuil (93), the window of the Pré St-Gervais (93) Socialist Party section shattered by blows, the headquarters of the Left Front (Front de gauche) located at Lilac (93) completely covered with tags. On both spaces and the nearby walls, one could read: “Scavengers”, “Neither the 6th Republic*** nor fascism — Revolution!”

(to be continued …)

Neither democracy nor fascism!
Down with the State and capital!

Paris: Young antifascist beaten to death by fascists (France)

Thursday, June 6th, 2013

Via contra-info:

Short statement about the comrades’ death:

“In the night of Wednesday, June 5th, 2013, as he was leaving a clothes store near the Gare Saint-Lazare in Paris, Clément Méric, 18, antifascist and trade-unionist, was beaten to death by members of a far right group. He had left the city of Brest to study political science in Paris. He fell victim to the growing violence of the far right, which has increased over the last months. He died from his injuries at the Pitié-Salpêtrière hospital the same night.

All our thoughts go out to his family and loved ones to whom we express our complete solidarity.

His friends and comrades”

Paris: Solidarity attack for Henry Zegarrundo (France)

Sunday, June 2nd, 2013

from indymedia, translated by waronsociety:

Over the past few nights in Paris, the screens of two ATMs were cracked, we were thinking of the anarchist comrade Henry Zegarrundo, imprisoned by the Bolivian State for a year now (he was arrested on May 29, 2012, held in prison and recently released to house arrest).

All the States, the prisons, all the banks are of this world that we hate, let’s attack them!

* * *
