Operation 'Outlaw' nears trial in Bologna – 29/2/12 (Italy)

Monday, January 30th, 2012

Operation ‘Outlaw’ started on 6th April 2011 in Bologna (Italy) and led to the imprisonment of 6 comrades (one was released a few days later as the investigators couldn’t prove his involvement in an attack on ENI local premises), searches and restrictive measures on a number of others, and the closure of the anarchist place Fuoriluogo. After spending six months in detention between prison and house arrest, 5 comrades will face trial on 29th February 2012 along with another 22.

As exposed in the following articles, translated from ‘Invece’ (Issue 11, January 2012), the repressive situation in Bologna has become suffocating, to say the least, with police harassing the comrades every single day in all possible ways and also targeting whoever has any kind of relation with them. In addition to this, a strong denigrating press campaign against the Bologna anarchists is still being carried out in local and national newspapers, with the obvious intent of isolating the comrades and preventing any form of solidarity to them. Text by the members of the R.O. CCF Christos Tsakalos and Giorgos Nikolopoulos about the Letter-bomb that was sent to Berlusconi (Greece, Italy)

Wednesday, June 29th, 2011

“Through the sadness of endless mediocrity that suffocates us from everywhere, I console myself that somewhere in a closet several stubborn people struggle to counteract the spoilage.” [Odysseas Elytis]

We are summoned to appear before the Prosecutor’s Office of Bologna, Italy, on June 28th in order to participate in a preliminary investigation in regard to the ‘punishable offense under Articles 110, 280 of the Criminal Code (attempt with terrorist and subversive purposes)’ of the inflammatory parcel’s postage addressed to Silvio Berlusconi. Moreover, according to the official notification of the Prosecutor’s Office that was delivered to us via fax in the prisons in which we are detained, Berlusconi himself is called to attend the process as ‘victim of the punishable offense.’ (more…)

Between Indifference and War (Italy)

(Leaflet distributed in Lecce during a solidarity initiative with the Bologna anarchists)

Today like yesterday the homicidal potentialities of terrorism are little thing compared to those of State power […]. No organization defined ‘terrorist’ can compare to governments when it comes of kidnapping, torturing and making people disappear.
H.M. Enzensberger

A few weeks ago the news broke of the nth massacre in the Mediterranean sea, off the Maltese coasts. More than 250 people drowned, sunk to the sea bed along with the ship onto which they were crammed. This was not an accident but a massacre deliberately committed: the authority chose not to allow those people in ‘its international water’ and eventually not to succour them as they were dying. Molotov attack on Italian consulate in solidarity with the comrades arrested in Bologna (Catalunya)

Sunday, May 1st, 2011

Communique from Informa-Azione, translated by War on Society:

18 April 2011

The night of April 18 to 19 we attacked the Italian consulate in Barcelona, located at Carrer Mallorca 270, with a molotov cocktail.

This gesture is intended as a cry of solidarity to the comrades of Bologna and Ferrara affected by repression, an act of proximity and complicity with the arrested, the raided, the suspects.

We will never stop supporting any struggle which aims at a world without borders, police, states and jails.

‘Cause the real terrorist is not the one who fights for freedom and against barbarism, but those who march under the wing of the law, bomb, kill, rape and lock up.

THE TERRORIST IS THE STATE

“Freedom is not to be told, it is a blind condition, it refuses to be put in writing”

FREEDOM FOR STEFI, ANNA, MARTIN, ROBERT, NICU

“Individualist solidarity is, in any place, out of place”
(Fuoriluogo).

Terrorists are those who kill and bomb, not those who struggle against them! (Italy)

Friday, April 29th, 2011

This piece of writing is from Martino, one of the comrades arrested in Bologna on April 6 2011

My name is Martino, I’m one of those arrested last 6th April following the nth repressive wave orchestrated by the State: this operation led to the arrest of 5 comrades, 7 others being forced to stay away from Bologna, a great number of searches (carried out, among other things, in several towns) and even the seizure of the documentation space Fuoriluogo (which from a site distributing texts of radical critique and organizing open initiatives every week turned out to be an impregnable fortress of terrorists). This is an investigation public prosecutors have been working on for a long time and which they decided to conclude following some anonymous attacks against IBM, ENI, Emilbanca and Northern League carried out in Bologna in the space of one week (but no reference to these facts can be found in the reports they gave us when we were arrested, hangman journalists should know). To all delinquents who have expressed solidarity (Italy)

Tuesday, April 19th, 2011

Communiqué from Stefania and Anna, two of the comrades arrested in Bologna on April 6 2011.

Solidarity has come strong and abundant with letters and telegrams, which have been so numerous to make the guards go into a tailspin, and some were even sent by registered post to make sure they arrived. This really warms up our heart.
The charge for those arrested, for those subjected to restrictions and for all the comrades investigated is ‘organized crime’. (more…)

We are all Fuoriluogo (Italy)

Text of the poster calling for demos in Italy [Fuori luogo literally means ‘out of place’]

In a world over and over again at war, where mad colonels bombard rebel towns and global sheriffs shoot against everybody; in a nuclearized world with radioactive seas and poisoned lands, where an earthquake is a business for laughing hyenas and where a cancer is yet another customer for pharmaceutical lobbies; in a world obsessed by ‘security’ but in which the destiny of everyone is in the hands of doctor Strangelove and his idiotic ministers, and in which health is in the hands of pharmaceutical multinationals and traders of waste; in a world of luxury hospices for rich elderly and prison call centres for poor youths; in a world of blue years and of lead years, of jobs that are not there, and when they are there it is just shit; (more…)

Update about the anti-anarchist raids and investigation (Italy)

Thursday, April 7th, 2011

LIBERTA’ PER ANNA, MARTINO, NICU, ROBERT, STEFI e STREGO!!!

Update 6/4/11: 5 comrades are arrested in Bologna, 1 in Ferrara.

A new police and judiciary raid against anarchists in Italy has hit the city of Bologna, and in particular the comrades of ‘Fuoriluogo’. The charge is ‘organized crime with aims of subversion’ and refers to both public campaigns and attacks against banks, ENI (the Italian energy multinational involved in nuclear activities and in business with the Libyan regime), structures linked to the Bologna migrants detention centre and other centres of economic and political power. Break the Silence (about the arrests in Bologne, Italy)

Tuesday, May 26th, 2009

(inspired by a few leaflets from ‘Fuoriluogo’)

Saturday 13th October 2007 at around 4am: a girl is sleeping in piazza Verdi in Bologna (northern Italy). Police on patrol decide that the girl’s behaviour is ‘abnormal’ and must be corrected by compulsory sanitary treatment (TSO), which means internment in a psychiatric hospital and forced administration of psychotropic drugs. The cops call the ambulance while keeping the girl under their custody against her will. (more…)
