Gathering against repression in solidarity with the anarchists arrested following operation Scripta Manent.
ANARCHY CAN’T BE LOCKED UP BEHIND BARS
The «Scripta Manent» appeal trial in Turin is coming to an end. It was on 6th September 2016 that eight anarchists were arrested and accused of having formed or participated in a «subversive association with aims of terrorism and subversion of the democratic order», a charge that about twenty anarchists are accused of in the trial. In particular the accusations are of carrying out, from 2005, several direct and armed actions against the police (police chiefs, carabinieri barracks, carabinieri training centres and RIS), men of State (mayors, the minister of the interior), journalists, companies involved in the restructuring of CIEs and the director of a detention centre for migrants, actions that were claimed FAI and FAI-FRI (Informal Anarchist Federation-International Revolutionary Front). In addition that of having written and edited anarchist publications including a historic publication of the movement, “Croce Nera Anarchica” [Anarchist Black Cross].
In April 2019, with the first-grade trial sentence, the comrades Alessandro, Alfredo, Anna, Marco and Nicola were given sentences ranging from 5 to 20 years of imprisonment, whereas another 18 were acquitted and two were released. In Alfredo and Nicola’s case, years of imprisonment were added to a previous sentence for the kneecapping of the managing director of Ansaldo Nucleare, Roberto Adinolfi. This action was carried out on 7th May 2012 in Genoa and proudly claimed by the two comrades in court during the trial following their arrest in September of the same year. (more…)

Buenos Aires, Argentina. June 2020
“…Anarchism is either illegal or it’s not anarchism. That is its essence and its meaning. Its nature. For the same reason, it sometimes seems so obvious to us that we forget to insist punctiliously on the anti-authoritarian and therefore, the consequently anti-systemic character of anarchism. Rabidly anti-systemic! We are against all authority. That is our maxim… That we are against the system of domination, that we are fighting against the social order as a whole, we are objecting to its order and the laws that support it. All laws have been and will be made to give legal support to oppression and domination…”
– Gustavo Rodriguez
This is an appeal to our friends, to our comrades, like-minded and not so like-minded. A warm invitation to practice beautiful disobedience and take back our lives. A call to conflict against all that exists here and now, assuming the consequences of a life at war.
For anyone who lives in the territory dominated by the Argentine State, or almost anywhere in the world, currently there is a state of alert in the face of the current situation. The appearance and expansion of covid-19 quickly became a global problem, and while we do not want to question its existence or veracity, we want to show how the “epidemiological outbreak” unmasks the harmfulness of the class society and neoliberal capitalism maintained by the States its main economic groups. Three weeks ago a 4G/3G mobile phone tower was torched. We did this as a response of pure hostility to the technoindustrial nightmare we are living in.
Like a vengeful wraith, we placed our enchanted incendiary devises in the cables connecting the tower to the leviathanic network. We howled to the moon when we lit the fuses and cursed the civilisation for all eternity. Only by fire can the technoindustrial leviathan be exorcised. Minutes later the cables were engulfed by a raging fire making the tower loose its connection to cyberspace. In the sudden silence when mobile phone calls and internet connections became emptiness, only the devouring fire could be heard.
Only darkness brings us to the place where we feel at home. The bright industrial lights that make the city shine burnes our eyes and clouds our hearts. But the cybernetic silence we caused with our fire to the tower made our bodies feel alive and joy filling our hearts.
Today everything is back to normality except the burnt cables and the silenced tower. Programmers and bosses are waging the next assault on our beloved darkness. 5G towers are now live in Malmö, Gothenburg and Stockholm. The next level of Levathianic control are rolled out in front of our eyes. The slaves of the society are applauding their incarceration.
We wish that the totality of civilisation was engulfed in flames. Burnt to ashes darkness would finally flourish. In every step our foot touch the concrete and asphalt we put a curse on Leviathan. In every step our foot touch earth and soil and plants and roots we sing our joy for the dark and the wild.
We know that a future without Leviathan never will come but this doesn’t stop us from dreaming of its death. It never stops us from conjuring incendiary devices burning its rotting body. It never stops us from cursing its shining armour and techno industrial light. Kill kill kill is all that Leviathan can say. Burn burn burn is our response.
Little cursing and conjuring lovers of darkness

The following interview is the 3rd part in an ongoing dialogue between anarchist comrade Alfredo Cospito, who is currently imprisoned at Ferrara Prison, and the editors of the Italian anarchist newspaper Vetriolo [Vitriol]. As far as we know, the first part of the interview has not been made available in English, however part two was translated by the Abolition Media Worldwide comrades in April 2019. Vetriolo have published the interview in parts, and have plans to publish the interview in its entirety in a forthcoming publication. We hope that we have captured the original spirit of the interview with our translation, however we are acutely aware of the possibility that some errors may have been made and we welcome any correspondence regarding any errors that may need correcting. To request copies of Vetriolo, they can be contacted via vetriolo[at]autistici.org
In some of your recent writings you have wanted to open a debate on: action and affinity groups, individual actions, claims of responsibility, ways to informally organize oneself among anarchists and propaganda through direct action. There are many different experiences that reach the present day, many and diverse within the different tensions of anarchism. We do not believe that there is, for the anarchism of action, an unavailability or impossibility with respect to the current historical context. Anarchists, in different ways and in every age, have always acted “here and now”. We would like to ask you, evaluating these experiences and different ways of acting and organizing in a horizontal and anti-authoritarian way: could one say that there is, especially in Italy, an ideological prejudice against “informal organization”, “anarchist groups”, and “claims of responsibility”? Equally, is the debate, which often ends up in mockery for its own sake, far from being able to confirm absolute validity or theoretical-practical evidence regarding “reproducibility, informality, anonymity”, in the Italian context conditioned by methodical, functional and a priori productive calculations, in a distorted logic of “factions”?
The “ideological” prejudice against informal organisation here is nothing new. Although there is no doubt that some concretizations of informal practice are more acceptable to “classical” anarchist organising than others. The “small” reproducible, unclaimed actions against structures of domination, without initials of any kind, create fewer problems than actions that endanger the lives of men and women in power, especially if these are claimed with initials that have a constancy over time. The former compared to the latter are more acceptable to the “movement” for the simple reason that they give rise to less intense repression by the State. The rejection of insurrectionism or informal experiences such as FAI/FRI by “classical” anarchism is almost always motivated as an “ethical” rejection of violence and specifically of certain actions (bomb attacks, arson attacks, parcel bombs, knee-cappings, expropriations…). Italy: Updates about the Scripta Manent trial
For the date of July 1, 2020, the first appeal hearing of “Scripta Manent” trial has been established at the bunker hall of “Le Vallette” prison in Turin. The dates set for the appeal hearings are as follows: 1, 8, 10, 15, 17, 22, 24, 29 July; 9, 11, 16 September.
In spite of the pandemic, the Court of Turin is among those that have guaranteed the holding of “important” trials, and with inmates, already scheduled for this summer. So presumably this date remains confirmed.
The comrades are accused of article 270 bis (subversive association with the purpose of terrorism or subversion of the democratic order) and for various anti-militarist actions, against the CPRs (Centri di permanenza per il rimpatrio, “Repatriation detention centres”, formerly known as CIEs, i.e. prisons for migrants), in solidarity with imprisoned anarchists, against barracks, headquarters and men of the institutions claimed by FAI and FAI/FRI (Federazione Anarchica Informale/Fronte Rivoluzionario Internazionale), from 2003 to date. The accused currently imprisoned will be in videoconference, as in all the last hearings of
the first degree.
In fact, during the period of the preliminary hearings, there was still no law requiring videoconferencing. Subsequently, at the beginning of the first degree, the law that provided for it was passed, which granted a year of time to prisons and courts to adapt, imposing, in that year, videoconferencing only on the defendants accused of being at the top of the “associations”. After one year, videoconferencing was applied to everyone as planned.
During the hearing on February 11, 2019, in the bunker hall of the Turin prison, a large group of comrades expressed their warm solidarity with the anarchists on trial. The prosecutor, Roberto Sparagna, was unable to take the floor to present his indictment. After several slogans and the reading of the text below, the Court interrupted the hearing. The courtroom was evicted through the intervention of the riot police.
Consistent with the strategy employed by the investigators to date, aimed at isolating the prisoners and undermining the support expressed to them, pursuing the various manifestations of closeness and solidarity, following the presence in the courtroom in February 2019 the Turin police headquarters issued about sixty “fogli di via” (prohibition to reside or to go to a specific municipality or area) from the city and seven accusations for interruption of public office and outrage.
It remains important to continue to show our solidarity with the defendants.
«Twenty years of the history of anarchism are being accused here. We are not accused, but this is our history and our revolutionary path. And it is precisely to this path that the practices on trial today belong.
We are all involved and the executioners of the State cannot define or understand our ideas and our lives.
Solidarity with anarchist and revolutionary prisoners!
Not a step backwards, Always Heads Up.
“Firmly and uncompromisingly towards our goal”.
SOLIDARITY AND STRENGTH TO THE COMRADES PRISONERS OF SOCIAL WAR!
FREEDOM FOR ANNA, MARCO, ALFREDO, NICOLA AND SANDRO!
Italia: Quale internazionale?

The coronavirus is sweeping around the world. Death tolls are rising and the capitalist economy is seeing new lows for every day. The nation state apparatuses are using warlike measures to battle the pandemic. Borders closing, blanket curfews, quarantines, forced labour, the only people allowed in the streets are cops. It’s the state apparatus wet dream coming true. For us anarchists it is our worst nightmare turning into reality. What we see is a glimpse of the future. If there ever is a day civilisation falls to ruins this is somewhat how it will look like.
There will be no end of what measures state apparatuses will use to gain control. And in this game, who will be sacrificed? It will be the precarious workers, the migrants, the women associated persons… the others.
The coronavirus is our Earths latest weapon against the humans (Earlier versions were the Spanish flu and AIDS). This pandemic is a population control, a hit back and a revenge for all the wild animals, plants and habitats that the humans have enslaved, annihilated and destroyed. The coronavirus turns the civilisers who
thought they where immortal into mere mortals. What it all comes down to is a show of power. If humans ever thought they had some sort of control the coronavirus clearly shows what illusion this is. Humans and the civilisation have no control, no matter how much they try to annihilate the wild and the free. If our planet decides that our moment of rule is over, in an instant, just like that – people looking pale, some sneezing, some coughing, some deaths… silence… (more…)

“…Light in the Shadow
The enemy’s got to watch out
That only from that ancient place
The foundation stone could emerge
Which is spreading out of control
This land called
Our beloved America
And if necessary in the future
We will change the name.”
– Sergio Terenzi (el Urubu)
1. (A) INTRO MODE
The handful of reflections that follow have come to us almost unintentionally. They are one more contribution to the debate on the issues that move us; a small stop on the troubled road we are now travelling. It is good to share visions about what worries us and throw them like a bottle into the sea… Perhaps they will serve to fertilize the sowing and/or sharpen the tools suitable to advance in the realization of what we dream…To all the warriors of praxis a sincere embrace from the region that fails to dominate (as they would like) the self-proclaimed state of Sargentino. May 1000 new rebellions flourish.
II. OF BEINGS AND DEEDS
We do not underestimate or mock the many ancient pagan cultures that are seeing, in these present times, the signs of an inevitable decline throughout the entire ill-treated and agonized blue planet that we inhabit. And we don’t dismiss it because (among other things…) beyond mysticism and conspiracies, the harsh reality shows us that this IS so. We feel the vertigo of the events in our skin; and we consider that it is a “self-fulfilling prophecy”. We refuse to look the other way as it would be alienating. The question is rather: what do we do?

ABOUT A SENTENCE AND SOMETHING MORE
I don’t deny a certain monomania. I have often had to deal with repression. I have undergone it, faced it, badly tried to understand something of it. I wrote about it for years in magazines, if anything because it concerned me and other comrades personally. Ironically, I find myself doing the same thing now for some years, but as a prisoner and along with others in the same condition, concerning the investigation that led to my arrest and that of various other comrades, with five of us being sentenced. I’d happily do without being the centre of attention, but I want to keep all the comrades informed. I want it because a trial is the culmination of various experiences that it’s good to discuss again at times in order not to let them fall to the level of futile opinionism.
In the so called “Scripta Manent” trial all sorts of things were put together. In a year and a half of court hearings – not to mention the amount of documents submitted – personal biographies were obviously dealt with regarding the accused and not only – there were historical-cop digressions on anarchy, discussion of previous judicial proceedings against anarchists, armed practices – past and present – publishing and street experiences… “A sometimes inextricable tangle”, a judge opens in the premise of the sentence motivations report. It is already good news to know that anarchy is incomprehensible to women and men of law. But let’s see what they write at the end of the first grade trial. [Everything in inverted comas (“”) is taken from the sentence motivations report]. (more…)

From Anarchists Worldwide: The following interview with self-described primal anarchist advocate, writer, editor, independent researcher, publisher, musician and rewilding human, Kevin Tucker, originally appeared in the first issue of the new Indonesian anarchist journal, Jurnal Anarki. Jurnal Anarki is written entirely in Bahasa Indonesian, and this is the first time content from it has been republished in English. We’d like to thank comrade Eat for making this possible!
1. Looking at the Anarcho-Primitivist Primer by John Moore, he explains that Anarcho-Primitivism has nothing to do with romanticizing the primitivist way of life, or as many people love to accuse Zerzan of, suggesting that we go back to the stone age. What do you think about John Moore’s interpretation of Anprim? Do you have a different interpretation, or perhaps even a critique of the Primer?
I don’t know if I would call it a critique of John Moore’s primer, but the ‘Anarcho-Primitivist Primer’ was admittedly a quick and personal take on anarcho-primitivism (AP). It was really only a few pages long, the kind of thing you hand out to contextualize other pamphlets, zines, and books you might have at the same time. It wasn’t meant to be definitive, even though, I would say, at the time it was still effective.
That said, I have a lot of appreciation for John, but his work was still limited by the time and when he died in 2002 there was a lot that had been kind of left unaddressed, to the point where a pamphlet like his earlier ‘Lovebite’ was dated pretty quickly.
A part of that is the terminology and framing. Personally, I’ve been moving towards a framing of “primal anarchy” over the term “anarcho-primitivist” for the last fifteen years now. “Primitive,” as a term, just doesn’t really cut it anymore, but it also reinforces this idea that “primitive” refers to a point in time or place. Like it’s something that has gone or remains in a few places. I think primal is a lot more fitting, which is the direction that Paul Shepard had been leaning in for some time. (more…)

Anarchist Insurgency Cell – Informal Anarchist Federation
We spray painted anarchist, anti-police, anti-capitalist, and anti-fascist symbols and slogans on the front of a Whole Foods supermarket. We did this in Los Angeles on February 16, 2020. Whole Foods is owned by Amazon, whose CEO Jeff Bozos is the richest man in the world. We wanted to send a clear message to him and capitalists everywhere.
We disabled the Amazon Locker at the supermarket as an act of economic sabotage against Amazon. We spray painted the screen, keypad, and security camera on the locker. We wrote “Fuck Bezos” on it to make it clear that this is an attack on capital and not the workers.
Amazon has collaborated with La Migra aka I.C.E. by snitching on undocumented workers who have gone on strike. They have supported the surveillance capitalist infrastructure of police state with Amazon Web Services. We wrote “Green Capital” on a wall mounted statue of a tree to make clear our hatred of green-washing. We painted the anti-fascist symbol of the three arrows to make our opposition to fascism known. We wrote 1312 multiple times to demonstrate our hatred of the police. In addition we sprayed mash capital over the front doors. We destroyed advertisements, painted over a vending machine, and painted over a few surveillance cameras.
To take credit for the action, we wrote AIC FAI and FAI next to the anarchy symbol (which we painted all over).

“Black December” is now 10 years old and Mauricio Morales was the detonator.
Do you remember? They haven’t stopped, those ideas and practices that rose (in)surged from the collective desire proposed by multiple anarchic individuals who put it to the test.
Indeed, the struggle is an essay that claims its execution and that must be experienced through practice to understand all the potentials that it offers us. Theorisations that are not tested in practice will always remain unknown.
We have verified (in/with praxis) that determination (individual will) can generate common moments and framesworks of collective struggle through active propositions. The problems in the (at least in what is committed as the F.A.I.–F.R.I.) project begins when it’s own postulates proposed by this informal organization model are ignored. They are:
1 – Seditious solidarity.
2 – Anarchic campaigns.
3 – Communication between groups and related individuals.
We know that the informal organization (also called T.I.A. in Latin America) at an international level (with or without acronyms) has its limitations, especially when the various insurgent tendencies are inclined to dispute discursively between themselves instead of complementing each other, both in the theoretical as in the practical.
Total liberation does not mean alienation or fratricidal alienation or competition among the active groups.
Who in one way or another rejoices in the end of “obrerismo mendicante”, which delegated all activism to obsolete organizations in the era of technological capital. We see in the years of the new anarchism of praxis that appeals are of no use for ourselves.
It is not a reflection of what it says. Be what is said and say what is done, it is what makes the verb meaningful and gives weight to the word.
I once read somewhere about: “Language creates a reality and reality creates a language… “.
This they have understood (even better than us) those Italian inquisitors and hence their fixation with public debates and what everyone wrote.
[Operation] “Ardire” (because it is bold to talk about what we dream), “Scripta Manent” (because the written word endures) and thus all the repression of this last decade has been limited to prosecuting all that is desired, everything written or said and aimed at all sabotage carried out by anarchists.
Unfortunately, what is written as much as it remains (if not assumed so in the first instance) does not alter material reality… and, unfortunately, interpretive juggling either. Or put another way: the chemical formula of the tritolo is not tritolo.*
We are already getting used to repeating slogans (“Fight Week”, “Black December”, etc.) without worrying and worrying about the most important: our affinity groups and practical organization.
A – Procure material and economic means.
B – Carry out anarchic campaigns and do not start a new proposal until the previous one is terminated.
Only acting as one hand will each finger have power and sense.
I do not question other groups of the “Anarchist Galaxy” but, only and exclusively, those that are inspired by the F.A.I./F.R.I./C.C.F. to act.
Our power can only be in the sum of action groups that act coordinated on all three points.
We must recognize that the legacy (both theoretical and practical) of the subversive project F.A.I.-F.R.I.-C.C.F., is here to stay.
In addition, both “Black International Editions”, and “Black International of Praxis” continue their editorials and mutual knowledge.
For Black December!
For conscious and organized action!
Long live anarchy!
Long live the companions in war!
Gabriel Pombo Da Silva,
Last days of the year 2019.

Kiev: FAI Cell “Misha Zhlobitsky” take responsibility for cell tower arson – Black December (Ukraine)
Sunday, December 29th, 2019
Anarchist sites report that in recent months in Donetsk and Kiev region base stations (aka towers) of mobile operators were attacked 4 times. Behind the attacks are mostly anarchists.
The first attack was to blow up the base station of the Phoenix operator. Then it was reported that two Lifecell towers were set on fire. December 10, 2019 it was reported about the arson of the mobile base station “Vodafone Ukraine”.
For example, when attacking the Lifecell communication towers, anarchists claimed that the main reason for the attack was solidarity with the Democratic Federation of North and East Syria (Rojava), the struggle of the Kurdish people for liberation from the Turkish occupation.
Wishing to give intensity to these attacks, we, a cell of the Informal Anarchist Federation, set fire to another cell communication base station in Kiev. Unlike the aforementioned attacks, our motives and view of the targets under attack are different. We suggest taking a broader look at the topic of communication towers.
Mobile operators are eager to capture as many subscribers as possible. This is a fact. There are three main operators in Ukraine: “Kyivstar”, “Vodafone Ukraine”, Lifecell. These companies do anything to place their mobile antennas everywhere, to get more money and control. They do not care what we think about it. But the most important thing is that the operators cooperate perfectly with the police, leaking them all the data of their subscribers. Each mobile operator receives more than 20,000 court orders annually for temporary access to things and documents.

Italy: Prometeo Operation – References for benefits and updates
REPRESSIVE OPERATION ‘PROMETEO’
Natascia, Robert and Beppe were arrested on May 21st 2019. They were accused of sending three explosive packages in 2017 to the PM (public prosecutor) Sparagna and Rinaudo, and to Santi Consolo, who was the director of the DAP (Department for the Penitentiary Administration) of Rome. More information is available here.
UPDATES ABOUT NATASCIA, ROBERT AND BEPPE
Natascia has been imprisoned in the jail of L’Aquila, in the AS2 (high security) section, which is actually a 41-bis section. Anna, another comrade, is also imprisoned in this section. She was arrested in 2016 following a repressive operation called SCRIPTA MANENT. Silvia is still being held in the jail of Turin (Torino) where she was transferred in order to be present for minor trials. Natascia began a hunger strike while she was in the jail of Rebibbia (in Rome), in solidarity with Anna and Silvia who began a hunger strike to demand the closing of the AS2 section in L’Aquila. All the three of them ended the hunger strike on June 28th (Anna and Silvia maintained the hunger strike for one month). Right after the end of the hunger strike, after almost 6 weeks of detention, Natascia received her first visit in jail. On July 11th, the re-examination hearing was held, which Nat was only allowed to attend by video conference. (more…)

On Wednesday, 24.07, anarchist comrades Christos and Gerasimos Tsakalos, members of the Conspiracy of Cells of Fire were released. The comrades were originally convicted with sentences of over 70 years, which were reduced to 20. The comrades made use of the Paraskevopoulos law that was introduced by the previous SYRIZA-led government and were released after having served 8 years of their 20 year sentences.
Gerasimos Tsakalos was arrested with his friend and comrade Panagiotis Argyros on November 1, 2010. Their arrests took place after a parcel bomb was sent to a courier company in Pagrati. Five months later, Christos Tsakalos was arrested in a coordinated counter-terrorism operation.
After their arrests they claimed full responsibility for their actions and proclaimed themselves “proud members of the Conspiracy of Cells of Fire”. During their imprisonment in Korydallos prison, the CCF claimed responsibility for Phoenix Project actions, including the bombing of the Prison Director’s car as well as sending a parcel bomb to the former head of the anti-terrorism unit, Dimitris Chorianopoulos.
