Montreal, QC : Police cars attacked (Canada)

Saturday, May 28th, 2011

26 May 2011

“Montreal, Quebec. On the night of May 26, the cars in a police parking lot on rue Dollard were attacked with paint stripper. We refuse to be complacent in the misery around us. The police are an occupying army in our streets and any act to further remove them from our lives warms our hearts.

Much love to Theofilos Mavropoulos and prisoners everywhere, both inside and out, fighting for freedom.

Onward the struggle.”

Montreal, QC : Greek consulate disrupted in solidarity with anarchists and immigrants (Canada)

Tuesday, May 17th, 2011

16 May 2011

“On Monday, May 16th a dozen people created a disruption at the Greek consulate in downtown Montreal located at 1002 Sherbrooke West on the 26th floor. We entered the office chanting slogans of solidarity to anarchists and immigrants facing heavy repression at the hands of the Greek state and organized fascists. Furniture and plants were overturned and hundreds of fliers were scattered. One office employee attempted to detain a comrade but failed. Outside people displayed a banner stating “(A) Flics-Porcs-Assassins, Solidarité contre la reprèssion d’État en Grèce” and handed out fliers.”

Text from the flier:

In Athens, Greece, during a general strike on May 11th against extensive economic restructuring led by the IMF, the repressive forces of the Greek state brutally attacked the strike demo. Dozens were hospitalized and one man was so severely beaten he fell into a deep coma and is on life support.

In addition, a Greek man was killed on May 10th in a largely immigrant district, triggering a police-sponsored fascist pogrom that is still taking place in the immigrant neighborhoods. Immigrants had their car windows smashed out while they were driving, many have been beaten on the street, a Pakistani family had their house fire-bombed, and a 21 year old immigrant was murdered by fascists. The police have been directly sponsoring and protecting this racist terror and have also cooperatively attacked anarchist social spaces which have been showing direct solidarity to the migrants by physically confronting this fascist pogrom in the streets.

In times of economic crisis, immigrant populations are often used as scapegoats as an outlet for people’s frustrations with austerity measures. Such racist and nationalist ideologies have always served to prevent solidarity between immigrants and those “native-born” exploited who persist in the delusion that they have more in common with the masters who exploit them.

In Canada, with a different intensity but following the same logic, immigrants are swept off the streets, jailed, and deported according to the needs of capitalism and social control. The raids, border walls, and detention centers serve to terrorize all immigrants into accepting their current conditions, just as prisons and police terrorize everyone into accepting the current order.

Here, like elsewhere, resistance movements that pose a threat to the continuation of capitalism find themselves necessarily in conflict with the police. As anarchists, we want to destroy police, prisons and the world of exploitation that creates them, which steals away the capacity to create our lives on our own terms.

Cops, Pigs, Murderers

Solidarity with anarchists & immigrants in Greece.

Let’s destroy the repressive machine wielded against all of us.

*********

A small contribution of the imprisoned members of the Conspiracy of Cells of Fire about Solidarity (Greece)

Wednesday, May 4th, 2011

From Actforfreedomnow/Bourbouras

A small contribution of the imprisoned members of the Conspiracy of Cells of Fire about Solidarity.

Until the day comes we will remain with the head held high….

1. Solidarity is our weapon.

Many things have been written and said about solidarity. Usually when there have been so many discussions and so many texts have circulated on a matter, it ends up trite, predictable and without any particular interest. It seems as if its content has run out and it’s constantly being repeated.

We believe there are no trite practices, but trite ways of thinking. Particularly today, in the suspicious days we are living in, with the dozens of imprisoned urban guerrillas and anarchists, we should sharpen the blade of solidarity and remove it from its repeated stereotypes that confine us within the nefarious cycle of “freedom to whichever comrade”. Solidarity action for anarchist prisoners from comrades in Lublin (Poland)

Sunday, May 1st, 2011

27 April 2011

“It doesn’t matter that you never reach the skies.
The most important things is that you never should stop dreaming about it.”

At night, 27.04, we carried out a small symbolic action of solidarity using paint bombs. We attacked the bank which is placed about 100 meters from a police station. Through this action we want to express our Solidarity and respect to each anarchist political prisoner, especially in Greece and Chile. Those who hold heavy consequences of their own political choices with pride and honour and do not bend under prison repression. Those who probably suffer painful tension between their family life and the rebel way which they decided to follow.

We also took this action to celebrate May Day, instead of powerless manifestations of own weakness by marching in small groups of activists on Polish streets that day.

We refuse the realities of life in this country, where gloomy patriotic-Catholic tradition teaches people to see enemies in other neighboring nations instead of in the capitalist elite, which rules everyday life. We don’t care about the catastrophe in Smolensk and hysteria of masses who despair that they lost their lords.

Unemployment or work, which makes you more unhappy? – or even worse: you feel happy when you can pay rent, bills and food. Work-emigration of thousands of young people who are forced to look for a way to survive, lack of money in the public sector and at the same moment the government transfers money to the Polish Army which occupies the Arab world (Iraq, Afghanistan) – this is really a fucking catastrophe and misery of this system – the colorful, empty bubble. The existential emptiness, lack of generational identity and lack of life purpose are suppressed by alcohol, drugs, television celebrities and thoughtless fun.

We oppose Pope Wojtyla (so-called “John Paul II”) beatification which will take place on May 1st. This is an attempt to steal this important date. Wojtyla, this guy, with golden rings, helped to destroy the revolutionary movement of liberation theology and he was doing this alongside with Latin American regimes. He was also silent on church pedophilia, blocked the reforms within Catholic church and was a political friend of working class enemies like Reagan and Thatcher.

We wish more courage to the comrades who have a policeman inside theirs heads, which does not allow them to take radical actions, even when that doesn’t mean serious risk.

We send greetings to our comrades from Silesia in Poland, who as a first in this country made a small Solidarity action with Cells of Fire prisoners.

SOLIDARITY WITH CONSPIRACY CELLS OF FIRE, REVOLUTIONARY STRUGGLE AND THE URBAN GUERRILLAS !

SOLIDARITY WITH TENANTS PROTESTS IN POLAND !

FIRE TO THE PRISONS !

Molotov attack on Italian consulate in solidarity with the comrades arrested in Bologna (Catalunya)

Sunday, May 1st, 2011

Communique from Informa-Azione, translated by War on Society:

18 April 2011

The night of April 18 to 19 we attacked the Italian consulate in Barcelona, located at Carrer Mallorca 270, with a molotov cocktail.

This gesture is intended as a cry of solidarity to the comrades of Bologna and Ferrara affected by repression, an act of proximity and complicity with the arrested, the raided, the suspects.

We will never stop supporting any struggle which aims at a world without borders, police, states and jails.

‘Cause the real terrorist is not the one who fights for freedom and against barbarism, but those who march under the wing of the law, bomb, kill, rape and lock up.

THE TERRORIST IS THE STATE

“Freedom is not to be told, it is a blind condition, it refuses to be put in writing”

FREEDOM FOR STEFI, ANNA, MARTIN, ROBERT, NICU

“Individualist solidarity is, in any place, out of place”
(Fuoriluogo).

Solidarity Gathering at the Chilean Embassy (UK)

Friday, April 29th, 2011

28/04/2011

A few individuals gathered yesterday at the Chilean Embassy in central London as a small token of solidarity to the Anarchist comrades in Chile (on their 65th day of hunger strike).

A banner was opened that read FREEDOM TO THE ANARCHIST COMRADES IN CHILE, ACCUSED IN THE “CASO BOMBAS” ON HUNGER STRIKE SINCE 21/2/11-. Some went into the embassy and threw flyers into most offices and entrance area while screaming IMMEDIATE FREEDOM TO THE CHILEAN ANARCHISTS ACCUSED IN THE CASO BOMBAS CASE!. Fliers were also given to passersby and workers in hard hats on the scaffolding of a building opposite, who broke into a shout of FREEDOM! with fists raised (for them it was a bit of a joke) along with the comrades.

Staying outside with the banner raised for a while, after a pointless (obviously) talk with the ambassador we walked down the street with the banner and did a lightening demo through Scotland yard and Westminster Abbey area, past the media of the world to give them a nice backdrop for their interviews of followers/slaves of the monarchy camped out to await the royal circus on Friday, throwing fliers behind us.
After that we all went our separate ways.

G4S van set on fire in Nottingham (UK)

Thursday, April 21st, 2011

19 April 2011

“In the early hours of this morning a G4S vehicle was set on fire in North Nottingham. A container of petrol was poured on the bonnet and a match was tossed. As we fled the scene we remembered our friends who have been detained, deported, tortured and murdered by Group 4.

This was not an act of bravery, nor was it enough to avenge all those who have who have been tormented by the prison machine. It was however a sign of our intent. A sign that we will not accept this society as the way things have to be.

The struggle against social control is something we must participate in, and to do that we must attack those that participate in the maintenance of society. Whether these attacks are large or small they are what we must do to stay true to ourselves and our desire for a society without domination.

G4S have profited, and will continue to profit from the prison society which is an attack on the marginalised, the working class, the “non-white”, in fact on all of us who are not part of the elite. So Fuck G4S, fuck all those who seek to, or profit from the imprisonment of our friends, the oppression of our families and the attempt to control us. We will not be controlled, we will attack again and again, because we are filled with love, compassion and pure unadulterated rage.

This action was in solidarity with the 14 Chilean Anarchists who were arrested on the 14th of August last year, because solidarity is our weapon.”

May 12-15: A Call for Common Actions in Solidarity with Belarusian Anarchists (Belarus)

Thursday, April 14th, 2011

It’s been 7 months now since the “case of arsons” was started in Belarus.
All this time our friends and comrades have been held behind the bars. Having started with random detentions of activists of radically different political views in September last year, the case is finally coming to an end – it is being brought to trial. At the moment 7 people targeted in the investigation of “the anarchists’ case” are staying under arrest. (more…)

April 11-17: International Week of Action for Jock Palfreeman (Bulgaria)

Wednesday, April 13th, 2011

Jock Palfreeman is a 23 year old Australian, who lived in Bristol (UK) for some time, and on the 27th of December 2007, had the courage to stand up against 16 fascist hooligans on a night out in Sofia, Bulgaria. He witnessed the fascists chasing and attacking two young Roma boys. Jock ran to the boys’ aid, he did his best to keep the fascists at bay by waving a knife at them but they attacked him. Jock was left with nowhere to run and had no choice but to defend himself. Andrey Monov, one of the racist gang, was stabbed and killed and another, Anton Zahariev was injured. The Roma boys ran away. (more…)

April 14-21: International Week of Solidarity with the Imprisoned Anarchist Comrades (Chile)

Wednesday, April 13th, 2011

This April 14th to the 21st has been chosen as a week of agitation and propaganda for the immediate freedom of the 14 Chilean anarchists arrested on August 14th 2010. The arrests were a culmination of raids under what is being called the “Bombs Case”. The arrested anarchists are accused of placing or being implicit in dozen of bombs set off in the greater Santiago area for the past couple years. They are being charged under the dictatorship era Anti-Terrorist Law. They are charged with “illicit association” as well. Ten of the arrested comrades have been imprisoned since August 14th, culminating now to almost 8 months of jail time, also 9 of the 10 have been on hunger strike since February 21, 2011. (more…)

Mitie van torched in Bristol (UK)

Tuesday, April 12th, 2011

12 April 2011

“Let us be clear on something: we are not demanding anything. The libertarian world that we desire is here, in our beating hearts and clenched fists, not to be found through the concessions of our enemies, allegiance to this or that party/union/’social movement’. We have no dialogue to be made with the world we have discovered ourselves to be at war with, as it is at war with us. And we are not alone. Across the world the attacks multiply – some claimed clearly by comrades in the perspective of the struggle against State, Capital and Hierarchy in whatever forms, many, as always, a mute expression of the rage of stolen lives, broken hearts, trampled desires. Also made beautiful in their rebellion.

We are losing the fear cast over our lives by the powers that be and widespread social conformity and blind tranquility of the Western consumer world – the thin veneer that sugar-coats the exploitation and control that is our existence. More and more as we find the courage to pull back the veil, we realise that the system’s tools that mediate our slavery are all around us and within reach of our carefully aimed anger. Just one example of this is Mitie, merely one of many parasite companies that profit endlessly from the recession and misery of modern Britain – so just one of many blows to come we made last night in Staple Hill, Bristol, when we burned an unattended Mitie van.

To our unknown friends made prisoners in their path as social fighters – Luca Bernasconi, Silvia Guerini, Costa Ragusa, Giannis Dimitrakis, Alexei Gaskarov, Maxim Solopov; for those targetted in the police crackdown on the anti-authoritarians in Italy; for the Indonesian insurrectionists.”

Attacks on Infrastructure in Nottingham (UK)

Tuesday, April 12th, 2011

12 April 2011

“In the early hours of this morning individuals who choose to be nameless attacked two points of this society’s infrastructure, we used different methods each time, but maintained the same quality of love and hate throughout. In both Bulwell and West Bridgford T3 mobile masts where set on fire. We used car tires we had left nearby days earlier, bundles of rags coated in petrol and disposable lighter. A little later we took our knives, our paint stripper and our expanding foam to work on two e-on vehicles and a G4 van. We choose these methods due the close proximity of the vehicles drivers and surveillance. The knives took on the tires, the paint stripper the bodies of the vehicles and the expanding foam destroyed the exhaust pipes.

These action was carried out because we know that in order to be free the infrastructure of dominant society must be destroyed, we recognise that this infrastructure is cultural and social as well as physical, and that in order for us to survive all aspects must be challenged. However, these actions were also carried out because we can not always wait, because we are hungry and impatient in our search for freedom, and each time we act against the totality of this society with our force we find a little bit more freedom from the social prison we find ourselves in. Basically they were a FUCK YOU to every aspect of oppression. Fuck you we are getting read. Fuck you we are becoming less afraid by the day. Fuck you our lives will be our own.

For us these actions live side by side with all actions where individuals decide that they wish to take their lives into their own hands. We believe that those actions can take the form of occupying banks, they can take the form of informal education collectives, they can take the form of banner drops and peoples kitchens. They can take the form of all kinds of things, and they need to be if we are to destroy all forms of domination.

But we choose these actions because they represent us, they are a manifestation of our fury and our disgust, they are a physical representation of our refusal to obey the joyless status quo.

We dedicate these actions to the friends we know who still feel caged. These actions are in solidarity with our friends in Bologna Martino Trevisan, Robert Ferro, Nicusor Roman, Stefania Carolei, and Pistolesi Anna Maria, who have been imprisoned due their dedication to a liberated anarchist world. This action is for all comrades fighting for a way out of societies jaws.”

June 11, 2011: International Day of Solidarity for Marie Mason and Eric McDavid! (USA)

Saturday, April 9th, 2011

International day of action called by American comrades for the long-term revolutionary eco-anarchist prisoners under severe prisons conditions and subject to FBI & prison authority repression. The day is also called for all long-term anarchist prisoners around the world.

International Day of Solidarity for Marie Mason and Eric McDavid!

June 11th began as an international day of solidarity with long-term anarchist prisoner Jeff “Free” Luers in 2004. At the time, Jeff was serving 22+ years. Infuriated by the environmental devastation he saw occurring on a global scale, Free torched three SUVs at a car dealership in Eugene, Oregon (OR). The sentence imposed on him was meant to send a clear message to others who were angered by capitalism’s continued war on the Earth’s ecosystems – and to those who were willing to take action to put a stop to it. Free is, after all, not alone in his concerns about climate change, fossil fuels, pollution and genetically modified organisms.

After years of struggle, Jeff and his legal team won a reduction in his sentence and he was released from prison in December 2009. But in the years intervening Jeff’s arrest and release, the FBI had carried out a series of indictments and arrests in an attempt to devastate the radical environmental and anarchist communities. Two of the people caught up in this maelstrom of repression were Eric McDavid and Marie Mason. (more…)
