From 23 to August 30, 2015, you will be conducting a week of solidarity and agitation by anarchist’s prisoners; within the framework of this mobilization we will be doing a series of deliveries of brochures and books to further deepen together in abolitionism topic and prisoner’s solidarity.
To continue the delivery of information, we refer the brochure “Anarchism and Prisons” of Rodolfo Montes de Oca has been published in Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Spain, Mexico and Venezuela.
“The future anarchist society cannot be conceivable to the existence of prisons and psychiatric institutions, as these absorb and steal itself, the genesis of all libertarian transformation, which is, as we have repeated many times, freedom the individual. In addition, the libertarian thought, sees prison as one of the pillars on which the whole capitalist socio-economic system is sustained. On this the Sardinian anarchist prisoner, Federico Pais, wrote: To attack jail is to attack capital!”
Anarchism and prisons, is a brochure that includes a didactic way of the abolitionist thought of anarchist thinkers, in order to generate ideas and proposals that contribute to generate movement of solidarity with persons deprived of their liberty. But above all to reveal the true purpose of prisons and galleys.

Call out for an International Week for Anarchist Prisoners
In summer 2013 members of several ABC groups discussed the necessity of introducing an International Day for Anarchist Prisoners. Given there are already established dates for Political Prisoners Rights Day or Prison Justice Day, we found it important to emphasise the stories of our comrades as well. Many imprisoned anarchists will never be acknowledged as ‘political prisoners’ by formal human-rights organisations, because their sense of social justice is strictly limited to the capitalist laws which are designed to defend the State and prevent any real social change. At the same time, even within our individual communities, we know so little about the repression that exists in other countries, to say nothing of the names and cases involving many of our incarcerated comrades.
This is why we have decided to introduce an annual Week for Anarchist Prisoners on August 23-30. We chose August 23 as a starting point, because on that very day in 1927 the Italian-American anarchists Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti were executed in prison. They were convicted of murdering two men during an armed robbery at a shoe factory in South Braintree, Massachusetts, United States. Their arrest was a part of a bigger anti-radical campaign led by the American government. The State’s evidence against the two was almost totally non-existent and many people still today believe that they were punished for their strong anarchist beliefs.
Given the nature and diversity of anarchist groups around the globe, we have proposed a week of common action rather than a single campaign on a specific day making easier for groups to be able to organise an event within a longer target period.
Therefore, we call on everyone to spread the information about the Week for Anarchist Prisoners among other groups and communities and think about organising event(s) in your city or town. The events can vary from info-evenings, screenings and benefit concerts to solidarity and direct actions. Let your imagination run free.
Check out the flyers in different languages. Please send reports of your activities to tillallarefree (A) riseup.net

A new text released by the comrades in Chile regarding the International Week for Anarchist Prisoners.
English text below:
From ABC Mexico:
The prison, like the police, is a fact necessary to the maintenance of social peace. It is the domination and control that allow this filthy world to be maintained. Jail means fear, uncertainty, shame, loneliness and isolation. Society trains individuals to be good citizens. My strength as an individual takes root in fear rejection could be a limit on my life. Of course, I have fear, like everybody, of many things, but my desire for freedom are larger. Fear is often built and can be destroyed when confronted. What matters is to look beyond, to exceed the limits, boundaries, beyond the walls, mountains, rivers and oceans.
Solidarity with our imprisoned comrades must be a constant and permanent activity without waiting dates marked on the calendar. However, it is also important to carry out solidarity activities in a coordinated manner between different groups. In that sense it was convened to conduct solidarity actions from 23 to 30 August, not with the idea of centralizing solidarity, but rather to strengthen ties and collaborations internationally.
In Mexico City the call was well received among anarchist groups and individuals. Forums, events in public places, leafleting, radio transmission, an anti-prison critical-mass, placing banners. This is a brief chronicle. (more…)

24 pages B&W : Dark Nights #41
International anti-prisons insurrectional newsletter Dark Nights is back after a summer break. Front page news is the communique by ‘FAI “Sacco & Vanzetti” Circle of Propaganda by Life & by Deed’ for the incendiary attack prior to the NATO summit in Wales, against BAE Systems Arms Development Centre. News of this new anarchist urban guerrilla attack taking place has been suppressed by the regime, as they are frightened of the spread of the anti-system attacks and the damage to the image of the blood-soaked company. The fiery attack took place in Filton, Bristol, where many military-industrial-technological companies are situated, and proved that the direct action groups can strike the military-industrial complex in their closed sites.
Primary article by individualist nihilist-anarchist comrade Venona Q. is about authoritarian fundamentalism and the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS). The brief article is about raw power and the total liberation war against all Gods and States. Against “progress”, the “West”, “democracy” and “civilisation”, the writer sounds a sharply critical and vengeful cry against the mullahs, militias, bureaucrats and fundamentalist murderers of the Middle East and the West alike. Reminding us of the continuous visions of the fight for human dignity against dominion by concepts, authorities and the power of death.
There’s an incomplete round-up of direct action sabotages, attacks and riots in our chronology, compiling incidents since late May 2014, and a complimentary section giving coverage to the International Week for Anarchist Prisoners which recently took place, that was organised by the world-wide Anarchist Black Cross groups, counter-information groups, action cells and others. During the last few months there have been intense efforts taking place in prisons across Europe, as prisoners in Greece carried out a campaign and hungerstrike against the Type C prison plans, where Domokos prison will be turned into a huge Guantanamo. The hungerstrike is finished now, but the prisoners of Greece and their friends and relatives have vowed to undertake an struggle by all means. This has now spread into the prisons of Germany and Switzerland, as prisoners there also found common cause and solidarity with the fight taking place and carried out their own hungerstrike mobilisation. This kind of trans-border action is a vital sign of a re-construction of the new internationalist struggle happening and we are with the prisoners in struggle in our hearts, words, thoughts and actions.
And there is the usual selection of prisoners letters, including the text by imprisoned anarchist Carlos ‘Chivo’ Lopez in Mexico about informality, an article by the imprisoned members cell of the Conspiracy of Cells of Fire about negation, coherence and refusal in the active sense during the trial prosecuting them, plus news reports and more writings from our imprisoned comrades enabling their wishes, dreams and struggles to escape beyond the walls of the prisons.
Tamara Sol, Francisco Solar, Gabriel Pombo da Silva, Graziano Mazzarelli, Chiara Zenobi, Nikos Maziotis, dozens and dozens more… To the streets!

Ústí nad Labem: Communique + Video for arson of police car by 'Proletarian Solidarity Cell / Network Revolutionary Cells' (Czech Republic)

DOWNLOAD FLV VIDEO: Police car burned
In solidarity with anarchist prisoners all over the world, in the morning of Saturday 30th August 2014, we made an arson attack on a police car, which stood in the street in front of the station Truhlářova in Ústí nad Labem. The event has become a fragment of a mosaic of solidarity activities during the International Week of Anarchist Prisoners. It was announced for 23 to 30 August 2014.
Francesco Puglisi, André Mazurek, Yiannis Dimitrakis, Olegovich Igor Kharchenko, Rebecca Rubin, Bill Dunne, Nikos Maziotis and many others, known and unknown. They were imprisoned for their anarchist attitudes and actions. Our arson attack against the police is a solidarity message sent to all of them. The communication of this direct action is simple. In the ongoing class war the State puts in jail the people when they actively resist. A good sign of solidarity with the imprisoned comrades is therefore continuing the resistance. In opposition to the same goals with the same means that our friends often chose before being placing in the cells of the State.
There is no doubt that the purpose of prison is not only isolation and the subjection of detainees. In a broader sense, it is their task to influence those who survive outside of a prison cell. They intimidate every resisting person and try to break his/her will to fight. Anarchist groups around the world show that to achieve this goal is virtually impossible. While the States imprison many anarchists, others -despite the risks- continue to practice rebellion. Our arson attack in Ústí nad Labem is a powerful reminder that suffocating our friends behind the prison walls will not smother our libertarian will to resist. On the contrary, every act of State repression against the anarchist movement recreates other rebellious passions. They manifest themselves in a variety of direct actions and will continue until all the comrades leave prison.

We attacked the Greek consulate in Zürich on September 8 as a delayed contribution to the international days of solidarity for anarchist prisoners. The official representation of the Greek state in Zürich was chosen for two reasons. First of all because Nikos Maziotis (militant of the Revolutionary Struggle) was recently arrested in Greece after a manhunt through Athens and after having being shot in the shoulder. This arrest follows a campaign by the state and the media in which Nikos and Pola Roupa have been declared as top fugitives and a huge bounty has been declared for their arrests. Despite him being arrested the media campaign aiming to negate his political identity continues. (more…)
A few words and pictures from the International Week of Solidarity for Anarchist Prisoners (Czech Republic)
Monday, September 8th, 2014
Last week was the International Week of Anarchist Prisoners. Dozens of events from South America to the Far East. The anarchist collectives around the world in various ways tried to raise awareness of imprisoned comrades and fellow soldiers. And we, along with other groups and individuals supporting the Anarchist Black Cross tried to highlight this issue. And not only that. We have tried to express solidarity to our imprisoned friends and comrades with the intensification of correspondence (letters and sending packages). We put up hundreds of flyers and stickers. Held a public screening of a film about the fate of Sacco and Vanzetti, upgrading in cities, in prisons, courthouses and even a police station. In Ústí nad Labem, according to a communiqué signed by the group “Proletarian Solidarity” ‘a police car was damaged as symbolic support to imprisoned anarchists in the world’. Although the last week in August is unfortunately not optimal for broader mobilization, perhaps the International Week of Anarchist Prisoners served its purpose. It recalled the need for solidarity not only for imprisoned comrades and friends, but throughout the movement as such. (more…)

from contrainfo, transl. waronsociety:
In the early hours of Friday August 29, 2014 the ambassador of the Spanish state’s mansion walls in Quito were painted in solidarity with Mónica Caballero, Francisco Solar and the rest of the State’s prisoners. This action was framed inside of the International Week of Solidarity with anarchist prisoners. Although the damage was not much and due to logistical problems the actions was not carried out in all of its splendor, any attack against the State’s institutions and its representatives should be celebrated. The same night the Israeli embassy was attacked as well, tearing down its dirty flag in support of the Palestinian people and the “Anarchists against the wall” organization.
Their mansions will be converted into their gallows, our prisons into their death sentences. From the city of Quito all support and solidarity with imprisoned compas.
Long live the vandal nights!
Long live the insurrection!

A group of anarchists in Hamburg dropped a banner in solidarity with Mónica and Francisco, imprisoned in Spain. The banner read “Freedom for Mónica and Francisco. Pull down the prisons.” This is our small contribution to the week of solidarity with anarchist prisoners.
Freedom for Mónica and Francisco, freedom for all anarchist prisoners. Until all are free!
