Video: Conspiracy of Cells of Fire – Phoenix Project – An account of the FAI/IRF Project 'Phoenix' (Black International)
Sunday, April 12th, 2015
English subtitled version of the film giving the account of the early part of the Phoenix Project, international project of sabotage and attack with over a dozen hits in a variety of different countries.
Dedicated to Alfredo Cospito and Nicola Gai, Olga Cell FAI/IRF, who took responsibility for the laming of CEO Roberto Adinolfi of Ansaldo Nucleare.
“We are here, where everything starts now.”
The Project of ‘Phoenix’ is the unfolding of a hidden map marking one of the routes to the Atlantis of practical theory. An unknown and lost continent that exists beyond the edges of the burning cities of the interzone. Created through action, dialogue and ideas and organised informally with anarchic principles of permanent autonomous attack, revolutionary solidarity and internationalism. A sequence of attacks by different radical direct action groups around the world, breaking the silence of isolation and striking back again against the prison societies of the techno-industrial system.
The imprisoned members of CCF are charged with instigation for the attacks, Spyros Mandylas and Andreas Tsavdaridis were arrested and charged for act #4 in the project, sending a parcel-bomb to the former commander of the anti-terrorist agency, Dimitris Xorianopoulos, whilst Christos Rodopoulos is reportedly accused of the mailing of the parcel bomb to Dimitris Mokkas, chief prosecutor in the CCF case, as act #6.
The Phoenix project is now renewed through the 2015 attacks in Chile, Czech Republic and Greece, with the comrades within the territory of Czech Republic initiating the campaign “Let’s destroy repression“. The story of the Phoenix continues to be written…

From Anarchist Black Cross Italy: We received only today, March 25, according to the delayed outgoing correspondence from the section of the High Surveillance Unit of Ferrara prison, this letter of Alfredo and Nicola in solidarity with the comrades of the CCF, on hunger strike since March 2 in the Korydallos prison in Athens (some of them from yesterday transferred to the hospital).
Only today, March 16th, did we have confirmation of the hunger strike to the bitter end of our brothers and sisters of the CCF. The goal of this struggle is the release of some of their relatives arrested for retaliation and revenge for their escape attempt. Pending any news (our info dates back to March 6th) in the hope that they have already obtained the release of their loved ones, we decided to write a few words: We are with you in hearts, minds, and especially with arms. Long live CCF.
Alfredo and Nicola

After the news that circulated between 13th and 17th February, here is a communiqué signed by the prisoners of the AS2 unit of the prison of Ferrara. The prisoners decided not to be silent in the face of yet more abuse from the guards and to protest against the solitary confinement inflicted on a comrade in the unit. We believe it is necessary not to allow their words to remain dead letter; on the contrary it is important that they circulate as much as possible, among comrades outside as well as inside prison.
To the comrades outside, 14th February 2015
A few words to let you know what’s going on in the AS2 unit of the prison of Ferrara.
No will/intention to feed the ferocious appetite of victimization’s cultists or anti-prison experts in view of the latest prisoners’ lament.
On Friday Alfredo [Cospito] was subjected to the judgement of the prison little tribunal, following a report issued a few nights earlier for having insulted a guard who had turned to one of us, Graziano [Mazzarelli], in a disrespectful and provocative fashion. Graziano was guilty of asking the disgusting man to turn the volume down. For the record, all this happened after midnight. Besides causing him lose the 45 days of earlier release, the ‘sentence’ implied that Alfredo was immediately put in solitary confinement, or rather, as they say, excluded from all social activities (exercise yard, sociality, gym and football pitch). As soon as news spread in the unit, after a short discussion, we started making noise and banging at the bars. (more…)

THE TRIAL OF BILLY SILVIA AND COSTA IS APPROACHING:
LET’S RELAUNCH THE STRUGGLE AGAINST TOXICITY
Five years have passed since we were arrested in Switzerland when police at a checkpoint on the Albis pass, Canton of Zurich, found explosives, propane gas canisters, petrol cans and several copies of a claim by Switzerland Earth Liberation Front in the car we were in. The target of the proposed attack was the Binning and Rohrer Nanotechnology Centre, a structure that was under construction at the time, property of IBM in collaboration with ETH, the Federal Polytechnic of Zurich.
The trial took place a year and a half later where we were accused of: preparing deliberate arson; concealing and transporting explosive material; unauthorized trade (importation) of explosives. Federal prosecutor Hansjörg Stadler demanded sentences of 3 years and 4 to 8 months, broadly accepted by federal judge Walter Wütrich. The court confirmed all the charges, except that of illicit traffic (importation) of explosives, a charge we were cleared of.
Parallel to this, the Public Prosecutor of Turin had begun a thorough investigation of the explosive cartridges that the Swiss authorities had found on us to find out where the material had come from. When the investigation was completed, prosecutor Enrico Arnaldi Di Balme issued three more charges against us: terrorist activity involving lethal and explosive devices, possession and transport of explosives in the public space and receiving stolen goods (explosives), all charges aggravated with ‘terrorist intent’. The poverty of Guarantism [defence of civil-liberties]
I haven’t written much over these six months because I don’t want to be a prisoner that bombards the web and specialized magazines with letters.
I wrote a short communique in which I explained how prison certainly wouldn’t mellow my revolutionary pride, I had refused any use of social services [offered me] and asked the many and multiform universe of people who are in solidarity with me not to fall into the trap of victimization.
I am writing again because I heard about some texts that have apparently circulated in the internet and in the paper Il Garantista, in which I am described as no less than a “pacifist”, “scared to death”, etc. First of all I want to point out that this attitude is insulting to me and my comrades who struggle every day without ever fearing the threat of repression. Second, it is totally pointless: the State spies on us incessantly, listens to our conversations, photographs us and films us as we clash with its servants in the streets. In other words, to think that some late form of disguise could spare me months in prison is mere utopia, and not very dignified. (more…)

Isolation, disciplinary reports, and protests in the AS2 section of Ferrara prison:
On February 13th, having spoken to one of the imprisoned comrades in the high security section of Ferrara prison over the telephone, we learned that Alfredo Cospito was punished with isolation, following an altercation with a guard. The measure of punitive isolation (article 14-bis of the penitentiary regulation) was put in place two days ago, while another comrade in the AS2 section has received a disciplinary report for the same incident with the screw. The other prisoners protested against what happened, and intend to continue their protest until the isolation of Alfredo is suspended.
On February 14th, Alfredo was hurriedly moved to another section of Ferrara prison, where he has no contact with other prisoners —neither with those in the AS2 wing, nor with inmates in others sections. The other comrades held in the special wing have their sociability suspended and are banned from meeting each other.

Update: RadioAzione, Italy – “To be or not to be… that’s not our question”
On the morning of January 23, 2015 agents of the Croatian secret services – SOA – turned up here because they wanted to talk to me about my site, RadioAzione Croatia, and to my husband, anarchist comrade, Italian citizen, who runs and also hosts other anarchist sites (including RadioAzione), threatening him with expulsion.
Their discourse began with threats concerning my personal relationships, both current and future, assuming that these are and will only be realized with anarchists, not Croatian of course, warning me that Croatia has no intention of becoming a haunt for people who are a problem for their countries of origin. Here the reference to my relationship with the comrade of RadioAzione Italy is clear.
Of course the threats are not limited to my relationships with comrades, they also warn me that any foreign national who comes to visit me in Croatia in the future, anarchist or not, will be treated as suspicious. And then they get lost in the usual threats concerning my parents, my position as unemployed, possible raids, arrests etc.
Their intention was to intimidate me by threatening to isolate me here in Croatia, far from my ”Italian and Greek friends” (an expression that they used several times). Because they are well aware of the fact that I could not expect any cooperation, activities or whatever with the local movement.
They also tell me that they know other anarchists in Croatia, but that they, unlike me, do not constitute a problem, that I am a unique and singular case for these territories (hinting that other anarchists in Croatia do not care much for my ideas). And that they are also aware of the fact that I was the one to introduce insurrectionalist theories into these territories and beyond years ago, with translations of some texts of Alfredo M. Bonanno. A point that they particularly stressed. (more…)

Chiara, Claudio, Mattia and Niccolò were convicted in the first degree for the specific crimes, that they claim as an action of resistance to the TAV high speed train, 3 years and 6 months, against the request of nine years for the aggravating circumstance of terrorism. Now they are on house arrest.
Also for Francesco, Graziano and Lucio the crime of terrorism doesn’t exist. The charges remain of possession and manufacture of molotovs and resisting a public officer, accusations that keep them in precautionary detention. They have been transferred in the High Security prison Ferrara.

“Not only against prison, but also against the detention of every living being” – Contribution of Gianluca Iacovacci from the prison of Alessandria (Italy)

“Not only against prison, but also against the detention of every living being”
Contribution to the Croce Nera Anarchica bulletin # 1 – September 2014
I would like to begin with a quick analysis of repression, its functions and its application, and then talk in an effective way about my vision of things. I very often prefer to go to the root of the discussion or in any other situation.
In this case I want with premeditation to completely skip the political-social debate – even if radical – about jail, and focus directly on the rationality of the detention of living beings – of any form they may be -, and focus on the eradication of the logic of the ‘right’ and of its formality.
For what concerns my position about the context and the case for which I am imprisoned, it all has already been said in my second contribution published in the January issue of “La Miccia”, and I guess also on the counter-info websites.
I will restrain myself from expanding this written dialogue so to avoid repetitions. You can already read – if you want – a partial vision and pragmatism of struggle and resistance in my first published writing “War to the Machines”, so I would like to temporarily restrict the dialogue, in a specific way, to the detention originated by speciesism, civilization and normalization of the struggles, keeping in great consideration the uniqueness of the contexts in the conflict against the existent.
Lately the repressive waves – generally against the anarchists – often happen in the sleeping periods of the strategies of the so-called anti-terrorism apparatuses of the political police. These operative tactics are used, in addition to their repressive aim, to build up media events – that include false accusations – and to spread an impression of a permanent terrorist danger, echoing the evergreen “anni di piombo” [“Years of Lead”: Italian period of political turmoil and armed struggle from the 1970s to early 1980s – trans.], infiltrators, extreme fringes and jumps in quality. Saturday, December 27th, 2014
A week after being sentenced, Chiara, Claudio, Niccolò and Mattia were placed under house arrest, with all restrictions. Thus, they are now released from prison, but banned from meeting with anyone who is not habitually residing in the same house.
On December 22nd, Lucio – like Francesco and Graziano – was transferred to the AS2 section of Ferrara prison. For those who want to write to them, here’s their new address:

NO TAV LIBERI/E!!! NO TAV FINO ALLA VITTORIA!!!
Rome: High Speed Train Blocked & Sprayed In Solidarity With Chiara, Claudio and Niccolo, anti-TAV prisoners
Today in Rome a large group of No TAV solidarians wanted to send a concrete message of solidarity with Chiara, Claudio, Mattia and Niccolo, who on Wednesday 17 December will be judged in the first instance at the Court of Turin on charges of Terrorism, for the well-known story of the compressor damage at the [TAV] construction yard of Chiomonte. The blockade of the high-speed train in the station of Ostiense served to impress upon all our cry of freedom, so that it crosses the country to reach Turin. We take this opportunity to revive the mobilization in our city, in view of the month of January, which will come the judgment in the maxi-process in which 53 people are charged from across Italy in the great days of struggle of June 27 and July 3, 2011. On the same days there will also be judgment for the events of October 15, 2011 in Rome. On January 17, a popular parade will return to the streets of Rome to demand the freedom of all and for all, and to reiterate that the TAV in Val di Susa never will pass. To talk about this and other initiatives we invite you to attend a public meeting Friday, December 19 to 17 at the University of La Sapienza. NO TAV – FREEDOM FOR ALL!!! NO TAV – UNTIL VICTORY !!!

Contribution of Adriano from the prison of Ferrara: “A sad circus. Vote for Gianluca and Adriano!”
Contribution to the Croce Nera Anarchica bulletin # 1 – September 2014
With the usual unpromptness caused by the imprisonment, I came to know about the spreading of a public plea aiming at collecting signatures in support of Gianluca and myself. In the beginning I understood it was a proposal for a referendum. A referendum about the “right to resistance” or even the “legitimate sabotage” and I said to myself: if they will reach the quorum, what will ever happen? What will we do? Will we all be “immediately free”? Will we all attack together the existing order?
I had the blurry feeling of being kidnapped by the state and right in the middle of a trial, instead I find myself co-candidate and in full electoral campaign. I had a bit of a headache.
Dear comrades, it’s hot and this sickening vacation doesn’t allow any relief valve, let me then waste a bit of ink to write some obvious things concerning this sad circus and I recommend, vote for us!
With this letter I don’t want to express resentment towards those who promoted this initiative, I wouldn’t dream of it! I can say I have appreciated it from a human point of view but, given my disagreement, on every perspective of it, I think it’s important to reply. (more…)

Call for a Black December!
On November 28th, comrades in Santiago decided to attack a public transport line with the purpose of calling for a Black December in memory of Sebastián Oversluij, anarchist killed in December 2013 during a failed bank expropriation. This action was also intended to express solidarity with imprisoned compañera Tamara Sol Farías Vergara, as well as other fighters prosecuted, incarcerated or fallen in combat. Once the public transport bus was engulfed in flames, they threw pyrotechnics to make their rage and rebellion flash more forcefully. “(…) We call for a Black December in memory of comrade Sebastian Oversluij. Solidarity with Tamara Sol Vergara. Hans Niemeyer, Mónica Caballero and Francisco Solar to the streets! Strength to comrade Nikos Romanos. An affectionate embrace to the comrades who attacked the PDI. Mauricio Morales and Sebastian Oversluij present!”
On November 26th, comrades carried out a direct action outside the Juan Gómez Millas campus in Santiago, erecting street barricades and blocking the traffic for almost an hour. A young student, who had nothing to do with the action, was arrested by cops. An anonymous communiqué mentions among others: “(…) May our ideals live in everyday and violent action. A salute to the combatants: Juan Aliste Vega, Marcelo Villarroel, Freddy Fuentevilla, Carlos Quiduleo, Juan Flores, Nataly Casanova, Guillermo Duran, Alejandro Astorga, Sol Vergara and all prisoners in the territory occupied by the State of Chile, as well as to Mónica Caballero and Francisco Solar, to the prisoners of Mexico, Indonesia, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Greece, to Nikos Romanos and Yannis Michailidis, both on hunger strike demonstrating that the anti-authoritarian struggle does not end in prison, but another breach opens from there, other means to keep blowing out the existent. Also all our love and memory to our comrades who have fallen in combat Claudia Lopez, Jhony Cariqueo, Mauricio Morales, Sebastian Oversluij, Jorge Saldivia, the latter two brothers killed in bank robberies. All our loving remembrance will always take the form of fire and war against every authority. Long live anarchy.”
The FAI Torches in the Night/Earth Liberation Front claimed responsibility for burning a vehicle in the service of the French multinational GDF Suez on November 25th in the Long Ashton area, Bristol (England), where they also torched an audacious 4×4, two luxury sports cars and a vehicle of OCS, one of the top security companies in the UK, in revenge for Rémi Fraisse, the nuclear industry, the prison society and the Green Capital: “(…) Against class society and industrial development, even and especially the green-washed ones – Victory for ZAD/Testet and ZAD/Notre-Dames-des-Landes – Victory to the rotating hunger strike in the Greek prison system (in support of our FAI confederate Nikos Romanos) and all prisoners at war with the prison.”
In the early hours of November 30th, a mini-riot broke out in the neighbourhood of Exarchia, Athens, including Molotov cocktail attacks against anti-riot squadrons, flaming barricades, and smashing of luxury cars, while slogans in solidarity with anarchist hunger striker Nikos Romanos were being chanted loudly in the streets.
At approximately the same nighttime, in the city of Thessaloniki, a group of individuals reportedly launched Molotov cocktails at the cops guarding the Turkish consulate.
Late on November 29th, a group of anarchists attacked a police station in Volos with stones and paint, shouting slogans in solidarity with Nikos Romanos.
On November 29th, a group of comrades sabotaged a scheduled meeting of the minister of Public Order Vassilis Kikilias with mainstream media thugs in Patras. The anarchist intervention took place outside the offices of a local newspaper, in solidarity with the hunger strikers Nikos Romanos and Yannis Michailidis. The cops were caught completely off guard, and hurried the minister away from there. One of the shouts was: “Nikos Romanos, we’re with you; as for you, Kikilias: go fuck yourself!”
At daybreak of November 29th, the offices of the Legal Council of the State in Heraklion, on Crete, were attacked in solidarity with anarchists Nikos Romanos and Yannis Michailidis, both on hunger strike since 10/11 and 17/11 respectively. The front door and first-floor windows were broken, and paint was thrown inside and outside the building.
In a display of solidarity with anarchist hunger strikers Nikos Romanos and Yannis Michailidis, a bank ATM was torched in downtown Athens on 23/11 and a branch of the Hellenic Post was explosively attacked on 27/11 in Pefki (the Athens neighbourhood where Theofilos Mavropoulos was seriously wounded and arrested in May 2011, after a shootout with two patrol officers, when Yannis Michailidis managed to get away driving the patrol car of the same cops).
In the night towards November 26th, anarchists vandalized ATMs with glue in the city of Ioannina, in solidarity with the hunger strikers Nikos Romanos, Yannis Michailidis and Iraklis Kostaris (the latter conducted a hunger strike from 29/10 until 28/11, when his request was denied).
In the early hours of November 26th, bank ATMs were doused in gasoline and set on fire in Nea Smyrni, Athens, as a token of incendiary solidarity with anarchist comrades Nikos Romanos and Yannis Michailidis.
In another communiqué, arsonists claimed responsibility for a string of attacks (ATMs and vehicles torched) in nine different districts of Athens, in solidarity with anarchist hunger striker Nikos Romanos.
On November 26th, at midday, the scumbag lawyer Alexis Kougias, who defended the cops that murdered Alexis Grigoropoulos, was assaulted when spotted in the Athens neighbourhood of Exarchia. This (random) attack was dedicated to Nikos Romanos – friend of slain Grigoropoulos, who witnessed the killing in December 2008 – and Yannis Michailidis.
On November 23rd, comrades in Thessaloniki went on the offensive, and placed a homemade explosive device consisting of gas canisters at the house of police unionist Dimitris Padiotis (president of the Thessaloniki Police Officers Union), located in the area of Kastra. They claimed this action in support of captive anarchist Nikos Romanos, on hunger strike as of 10/11, making also mention of the ongoing solidarity hunger strike of anarchist prisoner Yannis Michailidis (since 17/11), and imprisoned 17N member Iraklis Kostaris.
On November 19th, the local offices of the main ruling party Nea Dimokratia in the Athens district of Ambelokipi (situated between the Greek police headquarters and the Ambelokipi police station) were attacked in a display of “loud” solidarity with Nikos Romanos, Iraklis Kostaris and Yannis Michailidis.
On November 17th, a security company vehicle was burned in the area of Metamorfosi, Athens, in solidarity with Nikos Romanos, Iraklis Kostaris and Yannis Michailidis.
On November 13th, the Group of Proletarian Attack targeted the Galatsi tax office in Athens, intending to burn down the archives section inside the building with a high-power incendiary device. Due to an unforeseen obstacle, the incendiary mechanism was finally detonated in the outdoor space. Among other things, the group expressed solidarity with Iraklis Kostaris and Nikos Romanos in their fight for prison furloughs, “for breaths of life away from the galleys of bourgeois democracy”.

INTERVISTA CCF/ALFREDO COSPITO
From the Greek prisons to AS2 unit of the prison of Ferrara: a few words of “freedom”.
Interview by CCF to myself.
Before answering your questions, I’ d like to stress that what i’ m about to say is my own truth. One of the many points of view, sensitivities and individual nuances within that crucible of thought and action that goes under the name of Fai-Fri.
Informal federation that, rejecting any hegemonic temptation, represents a tool, a method of one of the components of anarchism of praxis. Anarchism of praxis that only when it is informal, without being forced into organizational structures (specific, formal, of synthesis) when it doesn’t seek the unbearable consent (therefore rejects politics) it can be recognized in a wider chaotic universe called “black international”.
To understand this better, Fai-Fri is a methodology of action that only some of the sisters and brothers of the black international practice, it’ s not an organization nor a simple collective signature, but a tool that aims towards efficiency, whose objective is to reinforce cells and each comrade of praxis through a pact of mutual support based on three key points: revolutionary solidarity, revolutionary campaigns, communication between groups or individuals:
Each group of action in the Anarchist Informal Organization is engaged in showing revolutionary solidarity to comrades who are arrested or are on hiding. This solidarity will show itself mainly through armed action and the attack against men and structures responsible for the imprisonment of comrades. Solidarity will always be practiced as an indispensable feature of anarchist way of life and action. Of course we do not refer to legal and technical support: bourgeois society offers a sufficient number of lawyers, social workers and priests, which means that revolutionists can be engaged in another kind of activities.
