June 6th and 7th hearings

The June 6th and 7th hearings were for the 250 attacks by the Conspiracy of Cells of Fire and the attempted escape of 2015. Witnesses for the defense were presented for some of the defendants.

For their part, the comrades Christos and Gerasimos Tsakalos, along with the comrades Giorgos Polydoros, Olga Economidou and Angeliki Spyropoulou attended the trial and refused to present witnesses for their defense as they have stated since day one that “for us the best ‘defense’ is the continuation of the action in the streets”.

Witnesses for the defense of the three relatives of the CCF comrades (Christos Polydoros, Evi Statiri and Athena Tsakalou) were also presented.

The statements of the witnesses focused on the criminalization of family relations and referred to cases that occurred during the dictatorship in Greece (1967-1974) in which rebels and insurgents were aided or given refuge to prevent being arrested by the Military Junta. (more…)

Letter by Spiros Christodoulou for June 11 Solidarity (Greece)

Tuesday, June 14th, 2016

Solidarity towards all prisoners, political and penal, without any division, who with their stance and their ideals dream of a fair way of dealing with the general good. Besides, the course of each person, their acts as well their stance over the years carves their personality too.

We must give a huge hug to people-fellow prisoners of ours who really need it without waiting for anything in return. In my opinion we must rely on the feeling of unity between those of us who are connected by common interests and common targets.

All we prisoners are connected with one another with a different judgement of real incidents.

And even in the most tough times where we are persecuted by our enemies for our ideas and courage, we must stand tall and give our thoughts and help to all those who need it. (more…)

Statement from CCF comrade Christos Tsakalos for June 11th (Greece)

Saturday, June 11th, 2016

June 11th is an international solidarity day. A day against oblivion. A day for all those who are missing from the streets.

For everyone of us that learned to count our steps within the prison yard and divide our day between locking after locking and our night in tallies.

At the same time, June 11th is a day of war. It’s a day of rebellion because law and order may rule but they do not reign.

The existence of anarchist prisoners reminds us of the existence of the anarchist war.
A war that sometimes burns slowly and sometimes blinds the sky with its fires.

Every war has its losses. There are comrades that were lost to cop’s bullets or from a bomb that “was in a hurry” to explode…

Comrades that will not be beside us in the next conspiratorial rendzevous.

And then there are those who got caught in the enemy’s snare.
An enemy that is baptized in democracy and takes revenge with prisons and courts.

A democracy that likes to carry its captives as trophies from prison to prison, in special conditions, charged with dozens of years of punishment… (more…)

Letter from Giannis Naxakis (Greece)

Saturday, June 11th, 2016

In prison, the sense of time has its own imprint. While days seem endless to me, at the same time the 3 years that have passed since our arrests in Nea Filadelphia seem like nothing. The environment of incarceration encourages rapid emotional swings and thus in a limited space, the sense of time is especially changeable because of the concentrated periods of emotional moods.

So, 3 years and a month with an intense experience of multifaceted disappointment and disgust. I could write infinite things about prison besides the usual, but it is all so fictitious now both inside and outside, that any extensive reference to anything seems meaningless to me. I will just say, continuing from older letters, that the prisoneresque stench is not a privilege of just one wing obviously, but a general phenomenon in prisons and that the reversal of meanings is something more than a rule in here, showing-off is a virtue and macho is dignity… (more…)

Letter from anarchist prisoner Grigoris Tsironis for June 11th (Greece)

Saturday, June 11th, 2016

A greeting for the international day of solidarity and action for the anarchist prisoners throughout the world

An international day when all prisoners from all corners of the earth, all those who are experiencing the obligatory status of incarceration in the penal prison camps of democracy, those who are being deprived of the most valuable good of freedom, are uniting their voices, their thoughts and feelings, in order to send a signal among them that no one is alone.

Despite the hundreds of kilometers that are separating us, despite that we don’t know each other, despite of all our differences, there is something that surpasses borders and achieves the elimination of all distances, something that can’t be imprisoned, that escapes out of the walls that loom up around us, something that is priceless within the hearts of those who feel it, express it, or receive it. A contribution to June 11th from anarchist prisoner Nikos Romanos (Greece)

Saturday, June 11th, 2016

“A contribution to the International Day of Solidarity with Long-Term Anarchist Prisoners”

Many things have been stated about the value of solidarity, and everything has its importance because it contributes to the attempt of giving meaning to a sense that constitutes a vital ingredient for our plans and actions. I will try to state in my own way an existential aspect of solidarity obviously through my own experiences. Solidarity means first of all emotions. Beautiful, wild, but most of all authentic emotions. Emotions that constitute the driving force for the growth of anarchist dynamics, which are liberating and beloved sounds and senses in the city, by yelling slogans, building barricades and by throwing blazing bottles that target the servants of authority. Solidarity doesn’t mean identification, but complicity with everyone that chose to engrave liberating routes in the map of the anarchist insurrection. It’s a relationship and within this relationship experiences are being developed and common desires are being produced for the destruction of this world, not in a vague future, but first of all within ourselves and then around us. Destruction to the degenerated relationships that this world is producing, in its depictions, in its symbols, in its officials and in its loyal servants. (more…)

Update from the fast-tracked trial of CCF – 02/06 (Greece)

Tuesday, June 7th, 2016

Today the presiding judge A. Yfanti gave new meaning to the concept of fast-tracking proceedings. Within 2.5 hours thousands of pages of evidence documents were ‘read’. In normal proceedings such documents would be read to the court word for word as they are supposedly part of the evidence for the hearing.

Following the command of the appeal court administration the Golden Dawn trial was suspended so presiding judge A. Yfanti could ‘finish’ the CCF trial, proving once again that the sentences were already ordered before the trial had even begun.

Today, 02/06 all of the witnesses were heard in record time and often with answers dictated from police headquarters. Then, despite a request for an interruption so that the CCF could acquaint themselves with the evidence, the judge continued the process unabated. (more…)

Update from 31.05.16 hearing of the CCF Escape Plan trial (Greece)

Saturday, June 4th, 2016

The hearing on 31/05 was based on the presentation of witnesses. Once again the presiding judge, A. Yfanti resorted to using dirty tricks with the aim of harming the defendants (the CCF comrades, their relatives and the prisoner Fabio Dusko). The judge urged the prosecution witnesses to reread their statements and try to “remember more things”, however the statements did not add anything of substance to the accusations.

The judge attempted to open up a debate about possible “collateral damage” from CCF bombings and used an attack against the taxation office as an example.

Responding to this, the comrade Christos Tsakalos – who was allowed back into the courtroom for the trial – spoke to the court despite attempts by the judge to silence him and stated that the Conspiracy of Cells of Fire always gave telephone warnings to avoid endangering the lives of people who were not the target of their attacks. Review of the event about CCF in “Biblioteca Kaos” on May 26 (Brazil)

Wednesday, June 1st, 2016

Dealing with the perpetual technical problems that the comrades who attend the library already know, we present the book “Our day will come” that we translated to Portuguese and we watched the movie made by CCF comrades “Phoenix Project. The Return of the Conspiracy of Cells of Fire”.

We began the event with the reading of the words written by the comrades of “Sin Banderas, ni Frontera”, core of agitation and anti-authoritarian propaganda from Chile, of Kataklysma contra information blog, of Spyros Mandylos and of the CCF comrades. We know that these words arrived to us and teased us deeply; that listen to them was an important moment of the event. It would have been difficult not to feel us captivated by the strenght of the messages read and the firmness that they transmit. After the reading, we watched the video of the Phoenix Project, the words and voices of the comrades in the video made all of us feel closer of the comrades, and, at the same time in which we delighted with the accurate attacks against domination.

Breaking grades, frontiers and distance that separates us was one of our aim with the initiative of realizing this event. We believe that in this breaking, resides the solidarity, at the end, transforming distant in near, we bring seeds for the insurrect action in this territory, and we know that it doesn’t exist better solidarity act that the attack. Nevertheless, this event was one more impulse so that we have to keep sharpen ours knives pointing against Power… (more…)

“A discussion from the future”… or, “imprisoned anarchists and intermediate claims (university studies with electronic surveillance, licenses, suspensions)’ by Christos Tsakalos of CCF/FAI-IRF

Thursday, May 12th, 2016

They say, in prison, that the most insidious drug is hope…

Hope for a good transfer, a convenient cell, a good court-decision, a sentence reduction on appeal, a semi-free status with electronic surveillance, for license approval, a suspension, an early release.

Hope is prison’s (and democracy’s) velvet bat. The prisoner now suppresses them-self in exchange for any of the above…

The price for the common prisoners in order to keep their hope alive is to become prison snitches, to be quiet, not to participate in demonstrations, to be a part of the anonymous statistics of the prison population and generally to invisibly serve their sentences with their head down.

The price for political prisoners is to renounce the armed struggle or even to capitulate with their silence…

In the “Years of Lead” in Italy, that usually happened by public declarations renouncing the armed struggle, often followed by telltale testimonies that led to fighters’ arrests. (more…)

“I attack, therefore I am” by imprisoned anarchist comrade Nikos Romanos (Greece)

Wednesday, April 27th, 2016

“The proposal unfolded, the rebellion was generalized, some people undertook to respond to the call, fighters were active and the clock started to move: with different activities ranging from roadblocks, blockades, marches, closing of schools, explosive attacks everywhere, arsons, and other acts. All was called forth by this insurrectionary project, a coupling of theory and practice in action, a convergence between thought, analysis, action and proposals for destruction.”
From a responsibility claim of anonymous comrades in Mexico for three bomb attacks against targets of authority, in the framework of Black June

For us, the month that passed was a testing ground for the informal coordination of anarchist action, at the same time being an experimental attempt for a political coexistence of comrades from different political origins and outlooks, who while maintaining their political autonomy would contribute to the realization of a subversive plan oriented around four key political directions: direct action, diversity of tactics and theories, the desire for a common coordination, and informal organization.

The campaign of Black December was a gathering point for the strategic direction of informal organization and to restart the continuous anarchist uprising in our own territory and internationally. This is why I think it was worthwhile, both for the prospects of enlarging anarchist attack and to look for paths where anarchist practices will meet, so that everyone who participated in this subversive undertaking will not just stay where they are, but will look for the right means to ensure the continuing informal coordination of anarchist action, defining our own coordinates within the social war and thus shaping those conditions that will allow us to strengthen and empower a polymorphic front to diffuse the seed of continuous anarchist insurrection in the metropolises of the world. Text of the Conspiracy of Cells of Fire for the Court of Appeal (Greece)

Monday, April 25th, 2016

On the 20th of April starts the second grade trial not only for the C.C.F. Case and some of its actions, but also for some other different cases of anarchists accused for actions of revolutionary violence. All these cases were attached to each other in a single trial, in order to serve many different and parallel judiciary manipulations against all those accused.

Regarding ourselves, we make it clear that towards the legal processes of this court, as well as any of its issues, we are completely indifferent. But even if the legal dimension is not one of our concerns, we’re interested in taking advantage of this opportunity to defend once more the action of the Conspiracy of Cells of Fire, to convert one more court-trial into an arena where anarchy stands against the enemies of freedom. A chance to confront again the technocrat servants of Justice and show that they are responsible for the misery that their existence carries.

The starting point of the state’s repression, the raid and invasion at the house in Halandri on 23/09/2009 and the arrest of Haris Hadzimihelakis – a member of the Conspiracy as well as that of others related to the case or not, and the barrage of persecutions that followed was a strong surprise for an important part of anarchy. It is a fact that a great shadow of fear spread causing a generalized numbness which contributed to the halting of the aggressive polymorphy that occurred during the period 2008-2009, as direct action decreased steeply.

At the upcoming trial inside the courtroom, a section of the history of the Conspiracy of Cells of Fire, which the state seeks to punish through the dead letters of the pages of the penal code which constitutes the peak of repression against the anarchist prisoners, will live again.

The dozens of arson attacks against state and capitalist targets, the bombings of politicians’ homes, the arrest warrants, captivity, illegality, the upgraded explosive devices in courts, prisons, banks, homes of fascists and other enemies of the revolutionary cause, are our own subversive experience as it proceeded through the Conspiracy, and we will defend it as such.

By defending politically our actions, we want to make it clear that we remain impenitent for our choices and actions through the Conspiracy of Cells of Fire, and we aim to abolish the mapping of our history with the laws and the “wooden” language of the judges and instead impart to it its real characteristics, those of the decision of an anarchist group to arm themselves and carry out attacks against the system and its servants.

The fact that after so many years in prison we continue consistently supporting anarchy, the urban guerrilla and the option of all-out attack against the existent is our way to remain deniers of this society and its civilization.

Seven years later therefore, we don’t regret anything. The Conspiracy of Cells of Fire is more than a simple tool. It’s part of our own life and we’re never going to renounce it.

Because if time could turn back we would still walk the same path, because the fire of anarchist revolt still burns in our hearts.

Today more than ever there is a need to coordinate our passion to destroy the authoritative structures that surround us and to throw ourselves into a battle seeking freedom through thousands of acts that tries to disrupt the normality of the social machine.

The nuclei of the Informal Anarchist Federation, anonymous comrades who disturb the peace of the capitalist metropoles with their attacks, the polymorphous anarchist action trimming the function of sovereignty, the Black December project, the Insurrectionary Association of Theory and Action, is nothing but pieces of a mosaic of actions that build again an anarchy that is a real danger for power and its civilization.

Let’s turn these plans into an everyday war against the state and let’s venture into the ceaseless battle for the resurgence of the constant anarchist insurrection.

The bet is still open…

Everything continues…

Athens: Announcement of prisoners about the Special Forces raids inside Korydallos Prison (Greece)

Thursday, April 21st, 2016

Koridallos prisons – Announcement of Prisoners for the raiding of the EKAM (special forces) and the violent transfer of our fellow prisoners.

During the night, specifically from 00.30 until 7-8am, special forces of the police together with mixed units of police and prosecutors, carried out extensive searches in the 1st and 4th wing of Koridallos prisons.
The state mechanisms raided with superiority of power and an intention to humiliate the prisoners.

Specifically the searches were done 2 cells at a time and 4-5 prisoners were against dozens of fully armed EKAM (special forces),who tied the prisoners behind their back and had them on their knees while they made them look at the wall as long as the search was underway, whoever resisted this sadistic hazing was beaten by the police forces. All cells in the two wings were searched, objects and devices were smashed while the provocations continued by the police since they threw all clothes in the garbage, destroyed their stuff and threw food and other products on the floor.

The state carries out exercises for imposing and controlling who will speak of human rights when all is bypassed before the dogma of law and order. like we said prisoners were beaten and dozens of others were violently transferred to other prisons, while the cells did not open until 11am.

Against one more move of imposition we will remain in the yards of our wings until 8pm and we will return to our cells after 10pm tonight. We demand to know the reason of the raids by the police, and the correctional service together with the ministry of justice should give us an explanation for the autarchy, broken cells, beatings and the provocations by the police.

Let’s create communities of solidarity and dignity towards the state brutality.

Prisoners of the 1st, 2nd and 4th wing of Koridallos prisons.
