Korydallos Prisons: 'Communique of War' by Conspiracy of Cells of Fire / FAI-IRF – Imprisoned Members Cell (Greece)

“First I shot him in the mouth to stop him talking crap;
then I shot him in the arm to stop him writing crap”

Jacques Mesrine on the kidnapping of a French journalist

The dirty war and the vulgarity of the journalists in regards to the case of the attempted escape of Conspiracy of Cells of Fire has no end. Targeting comrade Angeliki, emotionally blackmailing her parents, and spreading vile lies about her alleged relationship as a girlfriend of the one who has been arrested.

Angeliki is a friend of rebellion, anarchy, freedom.

If there were more people like Angeliki, struggle and anarchy would be the only possible reality.

SCUMBAGS SNITCHES JOURNALISTS – WE WILL TAKE REVENGE.

SOLIDARITY AND POWER by any means possible to comrade Angeliki and to all those wanted in connection to the same case.

The Cells will always stand by you…

Inter Arma received and translated:

We will not give away a single word that would unlock information for the enemy. Escaping from prison is the only aim and purpose of a captive anarchist urban guerrilla. The word “escape” holds the concentrated sense of freedom which blows up the walls of prison that locked our lives. We, the captive anarchists of the Conspiracy of Cells of Fire, have never forgotten this word even if though most have forgotten us. The judges have condemned us to live for years as human shadows inside the locked buildings, but they have never been able to lock up our unruly desires.

Every night in the wanderings of our minds we escape into a world without prisons, armed guards and locked souls. And even if every morning the guard’s key brings us back to the concrete reality of prison, we know that at some point our day will come and we will dream of our anarchy with open eyes. The sound of the lock as it closes forges our hatred for prison. Every failure, every arrest, every mistake makes us even more stubborn. If we fall three times, we will rise four.

There is no victory or defeat, there is only struggle. We know that the anarchist urban guerrilla and the Conspiracy of Cells of Fire is a battle against all odds. In this battle weapons, explosives, hideouts, cars, money, may be lost but all of them can be found again. What is not lost are the comrades who made us feel that our day would come and we would say “goodbye” to prison without return. (more…)

Unrepentant comrade Christodoulos Xiros is captured by police after stake-out (Greece)

Monday, January 5th, 2015

Breaking news from mainstream media slime reports that Christodoulos Xiros, escaped member of the Revolutionary Organisation – 17 November, has been captured by police on 3rd Jan after a stake-out of a safehouse in Anavyssos, near Athens.

The safehouse was found to contain numerous weapons: Kalashnikovs, pistols, RPG launcher with three warheads, many kilos of explosives, etc. The pigs also stated that inside the safe house there was extensive notes detailing a plan to assault Korydallos prison in Athens and free imprisoned comrades there.

Xiros was serving six life terms, plus 25 years, for his role in R.O – 17 November, which eliminated 23 targets, including Greek politicians, businessmen and British, American and Turkish intelligence and military officials, from 1975 to 2000. The group was one of the longest running and successful anti-capitalist groups in history.

Xiros is now charged with creating and being in charge of an unknown terrorist organization and with aggravated possession of weapons. Charges also included forgery, violation of detention rules, illegal firearm possession. The prosecutors also pressed charges of ‘harboring a criminal’ against three unknown individuals who appear to have rented the house to comrade Xiros.

Now, the pigs and their political masters have begun an anti-terror hysteria with the aid of the media, prior to the elections which will take place at the end of the month, at the same time that many imprisoned comrades are being transferred to the Greek ‘Stammheim‘, the Type C prison in Domokos, where they are attempting to annihilate the imprisoned urban guerrillas. The pigs are searching for other comrades who may have been working with Xiros and have released the image of a fake-ID card of a woman they are searching for in connection with the case. The pigs are also trying to collect DNA and fingerprint evidence from the safehouse in the hope it will lead them to other comrades in struggle.

Comrade Xiros was forced to appear before the public prosecutor earlier today. “I don’t talk to the detectives of the Troika*” said Xiros, while leaving the police headquarters of Athens to appear before the prosecutor. The comrade also said that the weapons found in the house had been secured by him and he is willing to take responsibility for them.

Xiros remained unrepentant and refused to co-operate, declaring to the prosecutor:

“Our country is under foreign occupation by the Troika and [German PM Angela] Merkel and I think it is my duty to resist. Those mechanisms supporting the occupation forces and their local collaborators, have no authority to ask me anything. Instead, as part of the mechanism, you are the ones who should apologize to the people and history.”

“There is no cooperation with the mechanisms that serve the occupation and government. The Revolution will continue despite the setback I face because it is a social need.” C. Xiros

More transfers of prisoners to the maximum-security prison in Domokos (Greece)

Friday, January 2nd, 2015

Anarchist Nikos Maziotis, member of Revolutionary Struggle, has been incarcerated for four days in the 5th wing of the new type C prison in Domokos.

On January 2nd, 2015, two more prisoners convicted as members of armed revolutionary organizations, anarchist Kostas Gournas (Revolutionary Struggle) and Dimitris Koufontinas (17 November), were transferred from the dungeon cells of Koridallos women’s prison to the maximum-security facility of Domokos. On the same morning, anarchist prisoners Yannis Naxakis and Grigoris Sarafoudis, both convicted for armed robbery in Pyrgetos-Larissa as well as for—alleged—participation in an armed revolutionary organization (Conspiracy of Cells of Fire), were also taken from the men’s prison in Koridallos to the type C prison in Domokos. Sarafoudis was moved to Domokos even though, for the present, he is co-accused in Filotas-Florina armed robbery case alongside other comrades, whose trial will continue in the special court of Koridallos prison this January.

Meanwhile, since New Year’s Eve until today, several other prisoners have been transferred to the maximum-security prison in Domokos.

SOLIDARITY MEANS ATTACK

i) C’ Type prisons – an act of war

C’ Type prisons wish to become the monument of the State’s victory against the urban guerrilla warfare. It is a bet for us, if we’re going to let a thousand tonnes of concrete, bars and locks beat the human will for freedom, a bet which is to be answered through action by the enemies of the regime and the friends of freedom.
For years now, politically, TV personalities of the system and salaried pen-holders of the police, have engaged in a mud fight against the urban guerrilla warfare, aid at depoliticizing it. “Osmosis of criminals and terrorists”, “cooperation between terrorists and organized crime”, “revolutionary pool” are the vanguard of the lie. Propaganda wishes to hide, covering with its mud, the self-evident constant revolt. A constant revolt of the ones who refuse to live as slaves and attack with arms against the leaders, the silence, the conservatism and the resignation of the majority of society.

Wishing to decouple the possible perspective of the violent insurrectionary action and to mutilate its diffusion, power uses lies and slander in order to present the armed urban guerrillas as insane criminals. And all this, at the same time when their bloodthirsty democracy makes thousands of people commit suicide and poisons every moment of our lives through the terrorism of poverty, repression, a police state, loneliness, exploitation, while it tricks the naive ones through the fake freedom of consumption, spectacle, mass entertainment, digital reality and the civilization of the mediocre. The highlight of the political propaganda against the urban guerrilla warfare was set up early in 2014, after the escape of Christodoulos Xiros on prison leave, who instead of coming back to prison voluntarily, chose the path of illegality and complicity with the new urban guerilla warfare. Headlines and reportage with catchy titles like “New Year’s terror-eve with the CCF”, “prisons are safe houses of terrorists” became the flagship of lies. What bothered power most, together with the escape of comrade Christodoulos Xiros, was that despite our arrests, we have never turned into dormant trophies in the hands of our wardens. For the unrepentant urban guerrillas, prison is not a palace of fear, it is a place of captivity that digs in and tempers more the willingness for rebellion and freedom. (more…)

Athens: Statement from Anarchist Nikos Romanos (Greece)

Thursday, December 11th, 2014

via actforfree:

Following 31 days of a tough and tenacious struggle, I end my hunger strike, having scored an important victory. The amendment voted in Parliament with me its single recipient, had important differences to the initial proclamation of the Minister of Justice, eventually meeting my demands – even if this involves me “wearing an electronic bracelet”.

The only thing certain is that this victory was an outcome of the political pressure applied for it by the people in struggle and Combative Anarchy are indisputably the great moral, political and practical victors. The multiform revolutionary struggle and us, as political prisoners, resurface from this struggle stronger than before.

I raise my fist, sending the warmest regards and my unlimited love to all those comrades who stood by my side.

BY ALL MEANS!
SOLIDARITY TO POLITICAL PRISONERS
LONG LIVE ANARCHY

PS: A detailed text will follow in the days to come.
PS2: I would like to also thank the hospital doctors who refused to bow to the pressure by the attorney regarding my forced feeding, and who supported me to the possible extent.

Piraeus: Open letter of hospitalized comrade Yannis Michailidis, on hunger strike since November 17th (Greece)

Friday, December 5th, 2014

I write these lines to express how much I was touched by the widespread and polymorphous solidarity activity of comrades outside the prison walls.

Not only because its extent, imaginativeness, organizing-coordinating, tenacity and aggressiveness so far have surpassed all my expectations, knowing that significant state and capitalist buildings, and radio and television stations have been occupied, organized gatherings and demonstrations have taken place in almost all major cities of the territory, and attacks on the forces of repression as well as all kinds of insurgency attacks have occurred. But also because this is what breaks the solitude of my cell and makes me smile, because I was not imprisoned on Tuesday night, I was among you and felt the warmth of flaming barricades. (more…)

Athens: Request of anarchist prisoner Nikos Romanos denied a second time; the comrade continues his hunger strike (Greece)

Friday, December 5th, 2014

On the night of December 2nd, 2014, it was confirmed that the request of anarchist prisoner Nikos Romanos – who has now entered the 24th day of hunger strike – was denied a second time. In particular, he had filed an appeal against the denial of special judge Eftichis Nikopoulos to grant him educational furloughs, whose decision was eagerly approved by the Koridallos prison board. The comrade’s appeal was dismissed in Piraeus courts by the competent judicial council.

On December 3rd, Nikos released an open letter from the hospital stating he will fight till the end. The comrade dismissed a proposal to attend distance learning classes, or worse yet video conference courses inside prison walls, and persisted in his demand for a few breaths of freedom. (more…)

International Call for Revolutionary Solidarity with Anarchist Nikos Romanos on hunger strike since 10/11/14 (Greece)

Friday, November 21st, 2014

via Act for Freedom Now!:

Imprisoned anarchist Nikos Romanos has been on hunger strike since Monday November 10 demanding his right to educational day release from prison. From 17th November comrade Giannis Mihailidis has also been on hunger strike in solidarity with his comrade.

Their struggle is also ours, whatever they decide we are with them as we have been from the start. From the moment of their capture the comrades have vindicated their anarchist individualities with passion and dignity throughout the ordeals reserved for them in the cesspits of the State. For us of act for freedom now every translated word, paragraph and page expresses our rage and desire to give a strong flaming hug to the comrades held hostage in the hell-holes of the state. Distance is irrelevant when we speak of solidarity. That is why we are calling, as of now, for international revolutionary solidarity for Nikos.

We will not leave any comrade alone in the hands of the state.

SOLIDARITY IS OUR WEAPON

*That night we kept our eyes fixed on the horizon and saw many falling stars drawing their own chaotic paths. And we counted them over and over, we made wishes, calculated the odds. We knew that our desire for a free life had to step over all that oppresses us, murders us, destroys us, so we dived into the void just like the shooting stars we were observing. Since then innumerable stars have fallen, perhaps it’s time for our star to fall, who knows? If we had the answers ready, we wouldn’t have become what we are, but selfish bastards who would teach people how to become rodents that eat each other as they do today. At least we still remain implacable and stubborn like the people of our kind. And those of us who closed their eyes in pain and travelled far continue to keep their eyes stuck on that night sky we also observed.
And they watch us fall, beautiful and shining stars.

Now it’s our turn.

Now, without hesitation, we fall.

As of Monday, November 10th, 2014 I begin a hunger strike without taking a step back, with anarchy forever in my heart.

Responsible for each day of hunger strike, and whatever happens from this point forward, is the prison board, namely the prosecutor Nikolaos Pimenidis, the director Charalabia Koutsomichali as well as the social work assistant.

SOLIDARITY MEANS ATTACK

PS.
To all the armchair “fighters”, professional humanists, “sensitive” intellectual and spiritual personages: good riddance to you in advance.

Letter by anarchist prisoner P. Michalakoglou from Nigrita prisons (Greece)

Tuesday, November 4th, 2014

Inter Arma received and translated:

Monday, October 13, 2014

At 5.30 in the morning while I was sleeping in my cell at the basement of the F wing of Korydallos prison, along with the unjustifiably detained comrade and friend M.B., I hear someone calling my surname. I wake up and see the wing’s people-guard saying: “Transfer”. I angrily ask again: “What transfer?” and he responds “Emergency transfer” showing me a paper with names among which only mine was written with a pen. Once more I realize that the war continues inside the prisons. Then they took me alone in the so called fridge -”waiting area”- without knowing the prison I was being transferred to. Four hours later another people-guard calls me and shows to me the paper for my transfer to Nigritas prison in Serres. (more…)

Update on anarchist prisoners Panagiotis Michalakoglou and M. B. (Greece)

Friday, October 17th, 2014

Inter Arma received and translated:

Yesterday, on Monday at 6 am, the cops barged into the cells of comrades Panagiotis Michalakoglou and M.B., letting them know that, without prior notice, they will be transferred from F wing of Korydallos prison. Panagiotis Michalakoglou was initially transferred to the Transfer Agency in Thessaloniki and afterwards to Nigritas prison in Serres (northern Greece). M.B. was transferred in St.Stefanos prison in Patra, at 10.30 am.

According to an article written by Yiannis Souliotis in “Kathimerini” newspaper, the comrades were transferred to other prisons “due to the impending arrival of long-term convict Panagiotis Vlastos at that wing”. According to the case file, the whole operation in Athens and Thessaloniki started with an “anonymous tip” which informed the cops that three out of the six people arrested during this operation, took part in the armed attack against the residence of the German ambassador in Chalandri which took place last December (the responsibility for that action was claimed by Popular Fighters Group).

Upon their arrival at prison, the two comrades refused to be subjected to body check and stated that they are anarchist political prisoners. Communiques written by the comrades will be published in the following days.

From the first moment, the state tried to isolate the two comrades from the rest of the anarchist prisoners by transferring them to the F protection wing of Korydallos prison, although they both asked to be transferred in A wing. This tactic bears a strong resemblance to the case of the pre-trial detentions of CCF members, who were initially scattered to various prisons of the country. Efforts are already being made from lawyers (Fragiskos Ragousis for M.B. and Anni Paparousou for Panagiotis Michalakoglou) in order for the comrades to be transferred to another wing since their detention in protection wings is still happening in the prisons they were transferred yesterday.

The operation carried out by the Counter-terrorism agency’s dogs in Athens and Thessaloniki, although initiated with great ambitions, ended up in a fiasco, since the comrades are prosecuted for aggravated possession of arms and possession of explosives (grenade).

A communique by Giannis Mihailidis concerning his stance during his trial (Greece)

Friday, October 17th, 2014

Read the full dialogue which took place between various anarchist prisoners and the “Kontra” newspaper here.

I write these lines because of the public critique I received by communist newspaper “Kontra”, concerning my stance to discredit courts by being absent from the procedure. Initially I would like to clarify that I do not dispute even a little bit the comradely intentions of this critique and I recognize the contribution of this specific project as very important to the struggle, with the presence at and update of all terror-trials.

I think the root of this disagreement, is the crucial difference between anarchist analyses and Marxist ideology, concerning the role of the state mechanism, its institutions and the social contracts. (more…)

Greek Prisons (2012): ‘Reflections from the Country of Nothingness’

Greek, Spanish and English language PDF pamphlet formed from a statement written in 2012 by CCF-FAI/IRF (1st Phase) & Theofilos Mavropoulos.

When a door closes behind you, another opens ahead. That is how we felt when the door of the prison opened, closing the door on the era when we were free…

A new world appeared before us. A world narrow and built of concrete, where good day and good night are abolished.

Prison is a shadow apart in the transparent galley of democracy. Here, time is uncountable and days push slowly www.buydiazepamcheaponline.org against each other, melancholically, indifferent, mechanical. Here, the seasons of the year die within a calendar hung on the wall, and nostalgia takes its revenge, disinterring memories, emotions, loved ones, sceneries and thoughts that never materialized into praxis.

But the wolf that exists within us stays awake and hungry. All these days, all these months, all these years we feed it with thoughts, desires, concerns, plans, rage, and it swallows the bars, the barbed wire, and the locks to run free again some unknown day.

Text about anarchist hunger and thirst striker Antonis Stamboulos by an Initiative of prisoners from A wing of Korydallos prison (Greece)

Saturday, October 11th, 2014

Inter Arma received and translated:

Anarchist Antonis Staboulos has started a hunger and thirst strike because although there was a court order dictating that he should serve his pre-trial detention in Korydallos prison, he was illegally transferred to Larissa prison. This tactic used by the ministry of justice is not an isolated event. It is part of an overall vindictive strategy against those prisoners who are considered dangerous or are accused of being members of armed organizations. It’s the first glimpse of the type C prisons and of the imposed isolation from the prisoner’s family. We stand next to Anarchist Antonis Stamboulos and we warn the ministry that the death of a prisoner caused by a hunger and thirst strike will have consequences that they cannot predict. Let everyone claim his/her responsibilities. Strength to the hunger and thirst striker Antonis Staboulos.

Initiative of prisoners from A wing of Korydallos prison

Note: Antonis Stamboulos ended his hunger and thirst strike on 11 October. He wrote a statement explaining his decision which is being translated and will circulate soon.
