“Today one day from Luciano Pitronello’s accident and then the foul media handling, Today when the Peñi [Mapuche prisoners] have reached 80 days of liquid hunger strike, when the ‘caso bombas’ continues, when wages do not stop being worth less and Education is still used by the guardians of the capital as a tool of indoctrination. We masked up in Temuko and decided to break with everyday habits and show our discontent. Reclaiming the subversive struggle as a legitimate tool against capitalism and all forms of oppression.
Thus, when our spontaneity walks with us and the image of Luciano is no longer molested by the bourgeois press, a group of comrades decided to attack the headquarters of Santander in Santiago paradoxically located in front of the library within the university it is not surprising. The attack included molotov cocktails, paint, and camotazos that broke the cynical image of the thieves, with each stroke claiming the destruction of capital and all the institutions that crush the dignity of the oppressed, recalling with each stroke the act of overcoming fear, like the comrades early Wednesday at the intersection of Victoria Vicuña Mackenna, as they pick it up again today as an example of struggle and therefore against Capital and all authority.
Solidarity with Luciano and his family and all brothers and sisters that attempt and will act against capitalism and the state.”
YOUNG COMBATANTS, PERMANENT INSURRECTION
Wednesday, January 26th, 2011
On the 23 January 2010 the Chilean Embassy in Mexico received two explosive letter devices which were immediately noticed by Embassy civil servants, who then alerted the Secretariat of Mexican Public Security. The building was evacuated and 24 hours later Mexican police confirmed that the packets contained explosives and threats against the ambassador of Chile in Mexico – Germán Guerrero Pavez. The devices were neutralized.
Autonomous Cells of the Immediate Revolution – Praxedis G. Guerrerro took responsibility for this latest attack against the Chilean State through an internet message.
This incident has been ‘quietened down’ by the Chilean and Mexican governments, international media plus European authorities, who are not willing to give the “oxygen of publicity” to this latest attack on the global media-stage, during the precarious trial of the Conspiracy of Cells of Fire, after the December letter-bombs against various States, which hit international media headlines, prompting the Italian Informal Anarchist Federation to respond with two explosive parcels for the Chilean and Swiss embassies in Rome. Growing insurrectional tendancies will not be censored out of the media, nor will the attacks end. Anarchism will only spread, become more developed and will overcome the institutions of hierarchy and finance.
The action was dedicated to the prisoners of the Chilean State who are fighting for their dignity and freedom, the indigenous people of the Mapuche, who are fighting for their land and self-determination, as well as dedicated to the Revolutionary Organisations Conspiracy of Cells of Fire and Revolutionary Struggle in Greece. Anarchist prisoner Gabriel Pombo da Silva also gets a mention, with a quote from him ending the final section: “Siempre con l@s rebeldes!!!!”

On October 2, most of the Mapuche political prisoners on hungerstrike in the prisons of the Chilean state announced an end to their action while the hungerstrikers at Angol prison declared they would continue. On October 7, they released another communique explaining their struggle. The following day, after nearly 90 days without eating, they ended their hungerstrike, although without signing onto any agreement with the Chilean state.

“… in the early hours of the 28th of september we attacked the natwest bank on gloucester road, bristol with paint and bricks. windows were smashed, paintbombs thrown and ‘destroy all prisons’ was sprayed up on the wall. this action was taken in solidarity with the 35 mapuche prisoners, the 3 incarcerated in switzerland and the 14 imprisoned anarchists in chile – the majority of which are on hunger strike. natwest is owned by the royal bank of scotland, which is complicit in state repression in chile, the pillaging of the earth, and the financing of the prison machine. we send solidarity, love and rage to all those continuing the struggle in whatever way possible. until all prisons are burnt to the ground.”
