Santiago: Revolutionary solidarity – Incendiary barricades for prisoners in Greece ($hile)

Friday, January 16th, 2015

Inter Arma received and translated:

[Athens, 25-31/12/2014]

FROM CHILE TO GREECE

“Bad evening my lords even if it’s not your will… the rebels are on the ramparts fuck your Christ!”*

These “holy” days when social problems are buried beneath the hypocritical smiles of a rotten society – that forgives itself with a smokescreen of fake love and joy, in an atmosphere full with festive togetherness, trying to stimulate the sense of security, prosperity and of a fictional consuming ability of the citizens in order for the commercial economy affected by the crisis to counterbalance its losses – and the streets of the metropolis inundated by giggly consuming assholes, while dozens of homeless people are suffering in the darkest corners and workers in the trade sector (without them being blameless) spit blood for the exhausting work hours and the “white nights” of the bosses, we decided to “mail” our own gifts to our loved ones and at the same time send some greeting mines to our enemies with the promise of a rebellious 2015. Letter by Nikos Maziotis, imprisoned member of Revolutionary Struggle from inside Domokos Type C Prison (Greece)

Friday, January 9th, 2015

A few hours after Samaras’s government collapsed, because it was not possible to elect a president of democracy on December 29th resulting in the announcement of elections, my transfer to the C’ type high security prisons in Domokos was carried out. The transfer to the C’ type prisons is the final act of a government which could not take on, like the previous ones, the weight of political social genocide it has been enforcing for the last 2,5 years under the orders of the Troika [IMF-ECB-EC] and the transnational economic elite.

It is the final act of a government that proved that the regime that led thousands of people to death, sunk millions into poverty, wretchedness, hunger and a whole population to humiliation, is afraid of revolutionaries and armed fighters. They fear the armed revolutionary struggle and this is why they want to bury us alive in the isolation of the high security prisons. My transfer to Domokos was their main intention after the shoot-out in Monastiraki on July 16th when I was arrested while injured and they had pre-announced that I would be the first prisoner to be moved there.

C’ type prisons are the natural continuation and consequence of the oppressive policy of the State against armed fighters and the guerrilla warfare. Just like the anti-terrorist laws, the legislation of high security prisons and the recent changes in the penal code by priority aims at armed revolutionary actions. Especially in today’s conditions that the regime is de-legitimized and has lost the social consensus because of the crisis and the storm it has unleashed, dealing with armed struggle or the threat of it, is a high priority for authority since as they themselves have confessed because of my arrest, -for which they also received congratulations from the USA-, security is linked with stability, investment and the continuation of the rescuing program.

I have no illusion on the position of a possible SYRIZA government on C’ type prisons, which they will never abolish, nor will they reverse the transfers, just like they will not abolish the memorandum
conventions.

NO TRUCE WITH THE STATE
NO TO THE ELECTION ILLUSIONS
THE SOLUTION WILL ONLY BE GIVEN BY ARMED PEOPLE

More transfers of prisoners to the maximum-security prison in Domokos (Greece)

Friday, January 2nd, 2015

Anarchist Nikos Maziotis, member of Revolutionary Struggle, has been incarcerated for four days in the 5th wing of the new type C prison in Domokos.

On January 2nd, 2015, two more prisoners convicted as members of armed revolutionary organizations, anarchist Kostas Gournas (Revolutionary Struggle) and Dimitris Koufontinas (17 November), were transferred from the dungeon cells of Koridallos women’s prison to the maximum-security facility of Domokos. On the same morning, anarchist prisoners Yannis Naxakis and Grigoris Sarafoudis, both convicted for armed robbery in Pyrgetos-Larissa as well as for—alleged—participation in an armed revolutionary organization (Conspiracy of Cells of Fire), were also taken from the men’s prison in Koridallos to the type C prison in Domokos. Sarafoudis was moved to Domokos even though, for the present, he is co-accused in Filotas-Florina armed robbery case alongside other comrades, whose trial will continue in the special court of Koridallos prison this January.

Meanwhile, since New Year’s Eve until today, several other prisoners have been transferred to the maximum-security prison in Domokos.

Text by Nikos Maziotis, of Revolutionary Struggle, for the creation of a Solidarity Assembly (Greece) / Schaffung einer Solidaritätsversammlung (Griechenland)

Sunday, December 28th, 2014

In the text below, Nikos Maziotis, member of Revolutionary Struggle, suggests the creation of an assembly of solidarity for all political detainees and prisoners-fighters.

Text below from Nikos Maziotis, member of Revolutionary Struggle, to the open assembly of Anarchists / Anti-authoritarians against the specific Type C conditions of detention, Maziotis proposes the creation of a solidarity meeting for all political detainees and prisoners-fighters. At the same time it is an open call to all comrades and companions of the anarchist / anti-authoritarian domain to participate and support this endeavour.

In the short term the date and location where the first meeting to explore possibilities to set up the Solidarity Assembly will be announced.

The text is sent to all political detainees and imprisoned fighters.

Comrades – companions, this text addresses you concerning Type C prisons, and my proposal for the creation of a meeting as concerns the issue of solidarity.

Comrades – companions, the passing of legislation of the Type C prisons are an expected development in the repressive attack of the State against the armed Revolutionary Organizations and against armed direct action. Subsequently, the legislative changes and reforms that have been under way for about 14 years are directly linked to the political and economic conditions, applicable for years internationally, and none other than the “war on terror” and the neoliberal reforms intended to impose the dictatorship of the markets, and its doctorate of supranational capital.

As Revolutionary Struggle, since the beginning of our activities in 2003, I believe that we properly analyzed the political and economic conditions in the early nineties when we started our activities, conditions relating to the globalization of the capitalist system. Both the “war on terror” launched in 2001 following the attacks on the United States, and the neoliberal reforms that conduced and were designed by the dictatorship of transnational capital is not only the economic and civilian-relevant nature of globalization. The system, therefore, in order to impose the dictatorship of markets proceeds at an increasingly harder crackdown as it tends to become more and more totalitarian.

In Greece, the same year [of 2001] the Greek economy was opened up to transnational capital after the so-called scandal of 1999. The stock market integration in EMU, in the Eurozone in 2002. It is therefore no coincidence that at the same period, even to lag behind Western Europe and the US, the Greek State proceeding to legislate the first anti-terrorism law in 2001, the law drawn up by Stathopoulos [Minister of Justice]. Thessaloniki: Claim of responsibility for a bank arson (Greece)

Tuesday, November 4th, 2014

Act for freedom now! receives:

When the enemy seems to be standing up well and uses all means to crash anything opposite, then the attack towards him, his symbols and infrastructures is the only way. Wherever we look we see various types of authority, either called cop, judge either called school, bank, church, prison. Institutions of a rotten system that every day remind us that we are not free. Their real value will be shown with their destruction and through ashes and wreckage their beauty will be shown. No more compromises fit here right now. Their place should be taken over by determination and continuous struggle.

In the undeclared war which is taking place, when there isn’t direct usage of weapons, then other means are mobilised in order to hit the mind and the soul of every unrepentant revolutionary.

The new high security prisons are aiming right at that, his extermination. When its their turn, judges and prosecutors give revengeful long sentences. Prosecutor Olga Smirli confirmed her role at the trial for the ATE bank (now Pireaus Bank) in Pyrgetos Larisa giving away 16 years to G.NAXAKIS and G.SARAFOUDIS, with the only evidence being their political identity.

Either the two comrades participated in the robbery, either not, we are with them and we dedicate them the attack on Pireaus Bank on the early hours of the 10th of September in Sykies, Thessaloniki. This act is a small sign of solidarity and a message that everything continues…

Lets fight, everyone in their own way, forcefully, with the means that they have, till the end, until total liberation.

Monday, October 20th, 2014

On Friday 17th, October there was a public political event held in the National Technical University of Athens, from the comrades of the Vox Social Center, onArmed War, Revolutionary Movement and Social Revolution, during which I was going to speak through the phone from Diavata prison, as a member of the anarchist organization Revolutionary Struggle.

This public political event intended to highlight the huge value of the armed struggle, as an inextricable part of the struggle for the overthrow of the capital and the state, its inseparable connection with the revolutionary movement, the necessity of the armed social revolution under the current conditions, when the system is still in crisis and is illegitimized in the eyes of the society and by the people’s majority. Let me remind that a similar public political event was held on October 9th from the comrades of Terra Incognita squat in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, where I had talked through the phone. Concerning the event “Armed War, Revolutionary Movement and Social Revolution” with phonecall intervention from Nikos Maziotis of the R.O. – Revolutionary Struggle (Greece)

Yesterday, Friday 17th, there was a fixed event concerning the “Armed War, Revolutionary Movement and Social Revolution” in Athens, where the anarchist comrade Nikos Maziotis was going to speak through the phone, from the Diavata prison.

Because of a court order, the phones in the wing where the comrade is detained, were closed. This is what the warden named Valsamis revealed to a prisoner of this wing when, at the same time, the direction of the prison said both to journalists and the lawyers that is was a due to a technical problem and efforts were being made for its restoration.

There will be more detailed information about the incident.

Interview mit Nikos Maziotis und Pola Roupa (Revolutionärer Kampf)

Friday, September 26th, 2014

Here is the first Interview of Nikos Maziotis after his arrest. Published in the Greek newspaper “Efimerida ton Sintaktion”

1. You are a member of Revolutionary Struggle, an armed anarchist organization. Why did you choose armed struggle as a method of action?

Armed struggle is an integral part of the struggle for social revolution. It is an integral part of a revolutionary movement that seeks the overthrow of capital and the state. There is an inseparable connection between the movement and armed struggle to such an extent that a movement to be truly revolutionary needs to include armed struggle in its targets. Throughout history there has never been a victorious revolution that was not armed. Armed struggle or in other words, armed propaganda, is a very powerful tool for the fight and its political messages can be very powerful, as long as there is an overall political conception and analysis about where we act, what we want and what we aim for. In Revolutionary Struggle we believe that armed action aims at dissipating to the greatest possible social and folk classes the necessity of social revolution and of the overthrow of capital and the state. Today, especially in Greece but not only, during the fiercest attack of the imperialist capital, while the Troika and the Greek state implement a policy of social genocide, armed struggle is as necessary and timely as ever. In 2009, at the beginning of the crisis, when it still had the characteristics of a crisis of the financial system and before it became a debt crisis, we had expressed the view that a great opportunity for a revolutionary era had dawned for Greece, because the consequence of the crisis was the end of neoliberal consensus and the de-legitimization of the economic and political system in the eyes of the social majority. Under these these circumstances, targeted armed action against the regime may result in a cascade for a system with advanced interdependence in all areas and activities and acts as a proliferation risk of destabilization. Since the economic and political globalization has advanced significantly, and with it the conditions of interdependence have increased, our view has been reinforced that armed struggle is now more than ever, not only politically necessary and feasible, but also crucial for the incitement of systemic problems and conflicts that will effectively undermine the system, to its final fall. But this requires a revolutionary movement that will resort to arms. (more…)

Revolutionary Struggle: Nikos Maziotis claims political responsibility for Bank of Greece bombing (Greece)

Friday, August 15th, 2014

News-report from mainstream media:

The detained urban guerrilla Nikos Maziotis recently spoke to Efimerida ton Syntakton and – as a member of the Revolutionary Struggle – has accepted the political responsibility of the bombing of the Bank of Greece in April, noting that the IMF’s offices in Greece are hosted there.

Maziotis also sent a message to his fugitive partner Panagiota Roupa, telling her to “stay free and raise our son” and that “despite the casualties, the struggle continues”. In his interview his expresses his sorrow for the injury of innocent bystanders during the shoot-out in Monastiraki, but noted that the injuries came from ricochets, rather than direct shots.

Finally, the stressed that “anyone who thinks that they are a fighter or an anarchist and believes that they must act within the limits of lawfulness, should better join a legal parliamentary party, to become a part of the system and not pretend to be a fighter or rebel or anarchist”.
