The anarchist prisoner Claudio Lavazza (in prison in Spain since 1996) has been transferred several days ago to a maximum security prison in the Paris region. The transfer, which Claudio expected, is due to the conclusion of the definitive trial for actions for which he has been accused in France since the 1980s; Once the trial is over, he will return to Spain to finish serving his remaining sentence in that country.
When there are more updates, we will give you more news.

New mail address for John Bowden following his parole refusal for his prison radicalism and being in contact with the Anarchist Black Cross. Bowden has been recategorised, and moved to Warrenhill, a Catagory C Men’s prison.
Grove Road, Hollesley
He is writing something about this process but in the mean time he asked for his address to be circulated.
Please send a card or letter of solidarity to John to help break the bricks of isolation the authorities wish to impose on him as revenge for challenging them.
It is essential to defend the Anarchist Black Cross and the ability of prisoners to contact the organisation.

On 21 March imprisoned anarchist comrade Gabriel Pombo da Silva was transferred from module 5 to module 7 in the same jail (La Moraleja – Duenas), where he is now after having been moved last January from Topas prison (Salamanca). The transfer is the old strategy of internal dispersion used on dignified and rebellious prisoners, because Gabriel laughed in the face of the prison director during him being notified of a disciplinary sanction. We recall that Gabriel lives in captivity for 31 years and is paying dearly for his determination and rejection of submission.
Gabriel is not alone! Write to the compa:

Tamara Sol Farís Vergara is Transferred to High Security Prison
This Wednesday, May 27th, 2015, Tamara Sol Farías Vergara was transferred to the ill-named “Centre for Feminine Orientation” (COF) located at Vicuña Mackenna and Capitan Prat streets in San Joaquin, Santiago.
The prison guard, Jenny Muñoz Gajardo, a Commandant who is in charge of the incarceration of over 500 women in the [prison] centre of extermination of “San Miguel,” is a loyal representative of police brutality and is paid millions of pesos to employ the logic of prison punishment and the control over people’s lives. This officer let her rage out with Tamara Sol and did not let her say goodbye to her cellmate, taking her out forcefully, without giving Sol the chance to pack her personal belongings (her prison mates gathered up what they could in a bag that Sol has yet to receive). We are told that Tamara Sol resisted with punches, screams and spits while being forced out by the prison guards, and was then handcuffed and taken to solitary confinement around 6pm. (more…)

Thank you to everyone who turned out to demonstrate in my support in London outside Prison Service headquarters on February 16th and to all those who helped create the banners, flyers and advertised the event.
Since then there have been significant developments. Firstly, the attempt to have me sectioned under the Mental Health Act failed. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder is not something which a person can be sectioned for, so the psychiatrist refused to do the dirty work of the Close Supervision Centre Management Committee (CSCMC) and refer me to hospital.
Transfer to HMP Full Sutton segregation unit turned out to be their next attack. Greeted by a full riot squad on arrival, my treatment was never going to be good, but even I was shocked at the audacity of these discriminators who stormed my cell while I was praying, to assault me and provoke a reaction: Fortunately I did not fall into their trap; however this has only led to me being subjected to a continued and increasing level of harassment. Since yesterday, March 23rd, anarchist prisoner on hunger strike Kostas Gournas (convicted Revolutionary Struggle member) has been moved from the type C maximum security prison of Domokos to the provincial hospital in Lamia, where the conditions are indescribably appalling, the prisoners are placed in isolation room-cells, and communication with them becomes difficult if not impossible.
In a brief telephone conversation just before his transfer, the comrade said: “The Ministry of Justice urges us to stop the hunger strike and rely on them… How much ‘reliability’ their commitments have as part of this government is demonstrated every day as they rip out the Memorandum and the implementation laws, cancel the ENFIA single property tax, and request a write-off of a large part of the debt… I only rely on the struggle. I continue the hunger strike.”

Tsutomu Shirosaki, 67, is a Japanese national who was imprisoned as a political prisoner in the United States. He was accused of being a member of the Japanese Red Army and participating in several attacks, including a mortar attack against a U.S. embassy. Shirosaki was freed on 16 January 2015, and the U.S. Justice Department had been taking procedures to deport him to Japan, which has long wanted him for arrest. Tokyo police arrested Shirosaki immediately when he arrived today at Narita airport, as the Japanese State wants to get revenge for the legacy of the Japanese Red Army and to punish Shirosaki for his claim of responsibility of joining the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine when he was in Lebanon.
Tsutomu Shirosaki was born in 1947 in central Japan. In the 1960s, he went to Tokyo University, where he received a degree in engineering. It was during his college years, where Tsutomu began participating in the student movement, embracing a more left-wing philosophy. By the 1970s, Shirosaki participated in various underground activities, including a string of bank and post office robberies. These actions were fund-raising activities for Japanese radical groups. But in 1971, Shirosaki was arrested in Tokyo and sentenced to ten years in prison for an attack on a Bank of Yokohama branch office. (more…)
