At 13:00 on Saturday, 21st July, Liverpool Antifascists will be gathering at Combermere Street in the Toxteth area of the city. We then plan to march to the city centre, for a rally themed around ‘working class unity against racism and fascism’. Liverpool Antifascists would like to ask you to attend, or spread the word about the event if this is not possible. This will be a vital day for Liverpool activism, and even the city in general.
To understand why, it’s important to look at the background to this demonstration. In February, a gang of around two hundred fascists mobilised in the city centre, running amok, and forcing the Irish Republican Flute Band off the streets, before going on to hassle Occupy supporters on an anti-police brutality protest. This was a serious defeat for Liverpool activists, and it is vital that this is acknowledged, so that we can stop it happening again in the future. (more…)

From Anti-Fascist Network:
The EDL are marching in Bristol on the 14th of July. The counter-mobilisation is in full swing, so get involved. Now is the time for action.
Come to Templemeads area [main train station] and line the route at 10am on the 14th to give them the welcome they deserve. Stay alert. Stay mobile. Bring your mates. There are many, many ways to show your opposition to the EDL: don’t let them march, don’t give ’em a lift in your taxi, put posters up in shops, don’t serve them drinks, raise awareness about their farcical attempts to disguise their homophobia, chat to work colleagues, decorate the city…. do whatever you feel comfortable with but now is the time to get a crew together and take action against racism in our city. We want to meet them at the station to stop them marching for any distance. We will resist them wherever they turn and we will be watching them. Let’s defend ourselves against the EDL! Zero tolerance of fascism on our streets.

Translated from informa-azione.info
We receive from the Pistoia anarchist comrades:
Last Thursday [29 March] the bloody Florence cops assaulted and arrested three comrades, Nicola, Filomena and Sandro and accused them of a series of bullshit such as resistance and causing bodily harm. This morning [Saturday 30th March] the judge decided to make a favour to the Florence Digos [Italian political police]: as he obviously couldn’t keep the comrades imprisoned, he opted for house arrest in the comrades’ towns, two in Pontassieve and one in Pistoia. It is clear how this operation aims at eliminating all ‘elements of disturbance’, that is to say those who are active in the city. As power can’t (for the moment) do whatever they like with Anarchists, they try their best to silence them, in this case through house arrest. On the contrary they did do whatever they liked with some immigrants, who were beaten to death in the police headquarters of Florence [the comrades were arrested while distributing leaflets on this event].
Solidarity with the comrades hit by repression, fire to all prisons and death to the authorities!

Today [24-3-12], the North West Infidels went to Bolton. There was a month of hype and build up, especially after the events in Liverpool on February 18, and in the past week threats and tough talk were bandied about on the internet. But ultimately, the demo fell flat on its face. (more…)

The North West Infidels (NWI), a splinter group from the English Defence League with links to many other fascist and extreme-right groups, are planning a demonstration in Greater Manchester on Saturday 24 March. We call on all anti-fascists, anti-racists and organised workers to mobilise in opposition to the presence of these fascists on our streets.
We call for a national mobilisation of anti-fascists! (more…)

From Bristol IMC:
Local antifascists took action yesterday [10 March 2012] with a paint attack on The Last Resort skinhead music and clothing stall on Corn Street. This business is run by Chris Pugh, a fascist skinhead and member of the English Defence League, and is being used to provide a platform for racist, fascist ideology under the cover of being “just about the music”. We thought it could do with a bit of an antifascist redecoration. The merchandise got absolutely trashed and we had no trouble from the “tough guy” skinhead behind the stall. While we understand that it will take more than a red and black wash to persuade these bigotted idiots about the error of their ways, we think it’s a good starting contribution to the sort of dialogue we’re prepared for with fascists in Bristol. Jock Palfreeman Solidarity Demo. Thursday 15th March 2012. 11am – 2pm. London
Demonstrate outside the Bulgarian Embassy in solidarity with Jock Palfreeman, the young Australian man who was set up by the Bulgarian police and criminal justice system after he stepped in to stop an attack on a young Roma in December 2007. Jock Palfreeman was sentenced in December 2007 to 20 years in Bulgaria’s notorious Sofia Central Prison. (more…)

Greetings and solidarity
To all the prisoners of war we call comrades.
My name is Jock Palfreeman, I’ve served almost 4 years of a 20 year sentence for defending two Roma against a nationalist attack of 15. I was charged with the murder of one and the attempted murder of another. My case is documented further at freejock.com and I don’t wish to waste words on it here.
For almost 4 years now I’ve been officially kidnapped in Sofia Central Prison – state of Bulgaria. The realities of my case censured from the Bulgarian public by a state sponsoring media. I stay strong and look forward to the next 16 years as I know with all the essence of my being that what I did was right.
Prisoners of War are not victims of injustice like the “liberals” speak about in their self-justifying wank. We are willing enemies of the capitalist state and their organs. (more…)

“Report of paintbomb attack on the Railway Bell, Brighton. Fascist hangout…
If you like your beer with a hint of racism you can probably do no better than the Railway Bell…
On March 24th the March for England, a flag waving front for fascist scum, the ENA (English Nationalist Alliance) and EDL (English Defence League), held a march in Brighton
March for England was attended by several divisions of the English Defence League
Their meeting point was the Railway Bell, opposite Brighton Station. The pub opened early to accommodate the fash and served as a reassembly point for marchers after their parade through town.
The Railway Bell has been a popular venue for fascists during previous Brighton marches.
The MfE, ENA and EDL are not welcome and will be resisted
In the early hours of this morning antifascists hurled paintbombs at the Railway Bell before disappearing into the night.”

“On Monday, May 16th a dozen people created a disruption at the Greek consulate in downtown Montreal located at 1002 Sherbrooke West on the 26th floor. We entered the office chanting slogans of solidarity to anarchists and immigrants facing heavy repression at the hands of the Greek state and organized fascists. Furniture and plants were overturned and hundreds of fliers were scattered. One office employee attempted to detain a comrade but failed. Outside people displayed a banner stating “(A) Flics-Porcs-Assassins, Solidarité contre la reprèssion d’État en Grèce” and handed out fliers.”
Text from the flier:
In Athens, Greece, during a general strike on May 11th against extensive economic restructuring led by the IMF, the repressive forces of the Greek state brutally attacked the strike demo. Dozens were hospitalized and one man was so severely beaten he fell into a deep coma and is on life support.
In addition, a Greek man was killed on May 10th in a largely immigrant district, triggering a police-sponsored fascist pogrom that is still taking place in the immigrant neighborhoods. Immigrants had their car windows smashed out while they were driving, many have been beaten on the street, a Pakistani family had their house fire-bombed, and a 21 year old immigrant was murdered by fascists. The police have been directly sponsoring and protecting this racist terror and have also cooperatively attacked anarchist social spaces which have been showing direct solidarity to the migrants by physically confronting this fascist pogrom in the streets.
In times of economic crisis, immigrant populations are often used as scapegoats as an outlet for people’s frustrations with austerity measures. Such racist and nationalist ideologies have always served to prevent solidarity between immigrants and those “native-born” exploited who persist in the delusion that they have more in common with the masters who exploit them.
In Canada, with a different intensity but following the same logic, immigrants are swept off the streets, jailed, and deported according to the needs of capitalism and social control. The raids, border walls, and detention centers serve to terrorize all immigrants into accepting their current conditions, just as prisons and police terrorize everyone into accepting the current order.
Here, like elsewhere, resistance movements that pose a threat to the continuation of capitalism find themselves necessarily in conflict with the police. As anarchists, we want to destroy police, prisons and the world of exploitation that creates them, which steals away the capacity to create our lives on our own terms.
Cops, Pigs, Murderers
Solidarity with anarchists & immigrants in Greece.
Let’s destroy the repressive machine wielded against all of us.

“Today an attempt by the EDL [English Defence League] to hold a rally in Exeter was thoroughly thwarted by hundreds turning out for a festival of diversity and a celebration of multi-culturalism.
Also, Exeter AFA were in attendance and managed to follow this minority of bigots and thugs from their pathetic excuse of a gathering to their local pub – The Kings, Cowick Street, Exeter. These fascists masked up outside the pub, blatantly to try to attack minority groups and their shops later on. We got many photos of the individual scum concerned and these will be posted and distributed asap.
Love, strength and unity to all resist fascism worldwide. And solidarity to all prisoners of the struggle, especially the hunger strikers in Greece. Shortly a SW [South West] ABC will be active. We’ll keep you posted. ANARCHY and PEAS, the SW naughty massive“.

Turin, February 23 2010: police raids against antiracism and solidarity
On February 23 Digos officers searched dozens of houses of comrades in Turin and in other locations in northern Italy, on order of public prosecutor Padalino. Six comrades were arrested (three are now in prison and three under house arrest) and many others had their home invaded by agents in uniform who seized computers, mobile phones and boxes of paper. The accusation justifying this big police operation is, as usual, that of conspiracy, which allows the cops to arrest comrades accused of nothing more than… their antiracist activity! (more…)

During 27th December to 18th January 2009, the brutal Israeli attack against the people of Gaza took place. The terroristic and fascist nature of this murderous act is well known, and many people of the United Kingdom protested and agitated against this brutal war-crime in several demos across the country, like many people all over the globe. Mumia Abu-Jamal is an innocent man on death row. In two recent decisions, the US Supreme Court has ignored both evidence of his innocence and it’s own precedents to deny Mumia’s appeal and bring him closer to execution. In this statement, the Labor Action Committee To Free Mumia Abu-Jamal lays bare the truth behind these actions, and proposes a course of workers’ and mass action to free Mumia. (more…)
