“We do not recognize this procedure and we do not apologize.”
The two arrested yesterday (1 November 2010) accused of sending letter-bombs to embassies in Athens will appear in front of the interrogator on Thursday 4/11/10 at 10am.
The two comrades declared to the interrogator today that they do not recognize the procedure and that they do not apologize. The interrogator gave them until Thursday when they have to re-appear. According to their lawyer Gianna Kourtovik, they kept the same attitude at the police h/q as well.
The parents of the two accused who were called to identify them denied to appear.

3 November 2010
“Last night 3 cars in the streets of the Exarchia area in Athens burned in an arson attack. We dedicate our hits in solidarity with the arrested revolutionary hostages Pangioti Argirou and Gerasimo Tsakalou, accused of sending letter-bombs. This is our solidarity to the comrades held hostage. Attack with all means available. See you soon….”

We believe that the death of Lambros Foundas by the uniformed murderers as well as the arrests of the six fighters for their participation or for their alleged participation in the Revolutionary Struggle, are integral facts of their historical-social frame. We consider them as the first and heavy losses in the new phase of growth of class war that has been signaled by the capitalistic crisis. We feel that Lambros did not simply leave one day of March, but fighting on the eve of a general strike, while the six arrested as well as all the imprisoned fighters, are missing from us in the streets in these important as well as difficult days that have come, these days where the subversive-liberating argument must and can be applied with new intensity and momentum.
The three comrades who took responsibility for the actions of Revolutionary Struggle show that fighting for what you believe in is not a task that only the “elite” can take on. Its in everyone that has suffered in the system that has been created to control us. The state knows they are the real terrorists and as long as no one is fighting back they have nothing to fear. Its time to show them enough is enough and attack it with all means available.
“And if the terrorists Papandreou and Chrysohoidis are laughing (in vain) about our arrests; if they believe they have thus guaranteed the necessary security for their social-fascist party to easily continue imposing their criminal projects on society, wagging their tails to please their American masters; if they are hoping they have eliminated a serious threat to their regime, we assure them that it will not be so easy to do away with us.
While we live and breathe, we will do everything possible to cause trouble for their antisocial, criminal projects.
And if our persecutors and this country’s political establishment believe they have all of society on their side, if they believe most people see us as a “social threat,” they are wrong.” Excerpt from the Political Letter to Society from the Revolutionary Struggle members (See 325 #8 for the full text).

A story already written? A few notes on the appeal trial against the Salento anarchists.
Ideas and laws, passion and social peace.
This story has often showed strong conflicts between those who expressed freely their ideas and those who attempted to repress them; between those who struggled with determination so that migrants were not locked up for not having an ID document, and those who boasted that locking up migrants was a question of security. On the one side the anarchists, on the other police, magistrates, the Church on charge of a CPT [immigration detention centre], journalists and politicians. All this, however, does not give a complete picture of what has happened and of what is still at stake. (more…)

UPDATE: The trial has been postponed until early 2011
Statement of the London Thessaloniki Solidarity Group – September 19th, 2010 version
The solidarity group was formed in 2003 soon after the arrests at the EU summit demonstrations in Thessaloniki.
The entire basis of the arrests in 2003, was and still remains, an arbitrary attack upon the demonstrations, where culpability was placed upon those that the Greek authorities sought to make examples of. From the beginning of the process of detention it was clear that evidence of guilt would not even be based upon recognition of legal facts or evidence but by association. (more…)

Dark Nights is an irregularly published anarchist & anti-prison freesheet of resistance reports and repression news.
Issue #8 has a feature on the 14 August anti-anarchist repression in Chile, with a letter from an imprisoned anarchist, communique from insurrectionalist groups about the state attacks against social centres and anarchist initiatives, and call for international solidarity.
On the 24th of September there is an international day of solidarity with the Chilean comrades, and we dedicate this issue to the situation. The repression is aimed at silencing the growing discontent and stopping the anarchist direct action against corporate, religious and state targets which has grown in recent years. Because the Chilean government has no way of stopping the attacks, it attempts to persecute and dismantle the broader anarchist movement with investigations, raids and beatings at gun point.
The international anarchist and radical social movements must answer this frame-up with our solidarity and resistance.
Dark Nights #8
– Call for international solidarity with the hostages of the Chilean ‘democracy’.
– List of hostages and those under conditional ‘freedom’.
– Communique from Mónica Caballero
– Communique from insurrectionalist groups in South America concerning the frame up.

30 August 2010
“On the evening of 30.08.2010 a group of anarchists have attacked by Molotov cocktails Russian embassy in Minsk. One of the diplomat cars was burnt. By this action we express our fury and protest to the arrests and repressions against defenders of Khimki forest in Moscow.
While our friends are beaten up by fascist mercenaries, riot police are pressing and arresting innocent people – treats and arrests became everyday routine. Our friends now have to suffer in jails or live in fear to be imprisoned just because they fight for freedom, people and environment.
But bureaucrats and capitalists care just for their bribes and profits, they don’t care what happens tomorrow, they are ready to abolish every protest or disagreement with cruelty. What comes next – the death squads?
We declare solidarity with our comrades and support only method of direct action, because government are afraid of power only and nothing else.
It is really funny to read some comments on Internet forums. Both clans, called “Government of Republic of Belarus” and “Government of Russian Federation” disgust us. Poor workers of both countries never take any benefit from this fighting for power. It is foolishly to imitate politicians. People, come to your senses! Is it really impossible to explain any act of protest by theories of conspiracy? We meet stealing and humiliation every day – but around there are only fear in the eyes and whisper in the kitchens. It is time to summon our forces and believe that we are worthy of a better life.
Free all imprisoned comrades! Stop political repressions! Down with officials, gangsters and policemen!
Human rights and social justice!”

CALL FOR INTERNATIONAL SOLIDARITY WITH THE 14 HOSTAGES OF THE CHILEAN ‘DEMOCRACY’
Welcome to Chile, society of jails and jailers.
This past Saturday the 14th of August, in the cities of Santiago and Valparaíso, an action coordinated by police of all types (special task forces) violently raided three squatted social centers and many private homes in fives communes. The police intimidated people with weapons of war, broke windows and doors, and took many personal items with them from all of the houses. (more…)

The Italian media repeat the same refrain: your life is under threat, you must be scared. The ideology of security places all of us in a world of ghosts. Punks, foreigners, vandal kids are other actors in this comedy of horror. Journalists recruited by various bosses instil the fear of the diverse and encourage the lynching of the poor. The victims of this murderous ideology follow one another like in a war bulletin: extremely overcrowded jails, murders committed by cops, torture in police stations, detention camps for immigrants, fascist aggressions. No surprise, then, if the journalists of capital yell the need for security and their desire for cameras in every street and soldiers in every piazza. (more…)

Update: Michal Pawlak has been released on bail pending trial.
Michal Pawlak is a comrade from Poland that was arrested on December 6th , 2009 during the demonstrations for the one year since Alexis murder and the uprising that followed. He has remained in prison awaiting trial ever since. As is usual he has been accused by the cops based on unsubstantiated and circumstantial evidence, as for example his t-shirt that had some anti-cop slogan written on it. On June 1st Michal stood in front of the board of judges who will decide in the next couple of weeks whether his imprisonment will be continued. At the same time the cops-murderers of Alexis have been set free until the end of their trial as due to a load of legal tricks their 18th month pre-trial detention expired before a court ruling on their case. Even though their imprisonment will in no way give us a sense that “justice has been served” or extinguish our rage against all those who destroy our lives, nonetheless if this example serves as anything it is to remind us who the so-called justice system is here to protect.

The interpretations have been given… Time for our desires to speak.
During the trial of the 17th November armed group we witnessed a spectacular performance, which amongst others, attempted with the application of the upgraded law concerning criminal acts- “anti”-terror law- to earn also social legitimization. The law’s elaborately vague and extended framework (with the possibility for DNA testing, with the article on criminal conspiracy… with the depoliticisation of the history, the theory and the actions of the group) appeared to secure in the legal arsenal that necessary method which is able to strike every existent or attempted project of subversion of bourgeois democracy, without having to accept the political status of its enemy.
