Breaking news, more updates as we receive them:
Metropolitan police have raided several squatted autonomous centres in London, in a media-spectacle in which the pigs promise more raids. The raids are apparently in connection with the 26 March TUC demo / Black Bloc and the pathetic Royal wedding this weekend which has been hyped up.
The Ratstar squat in South London was amongst those raided, as were 2 nearby squats. Also Offmarket squat in Hackney and Grow Heathrow squat were raided. Current reports are that 14 people are arrested so far. No one has been charged yet. The arrested are being held at Harrow Road Policestation.
On Wednesday March 27 police officers from the Metropolitan and Sussex police forces raided squats in Brighton and arrested seven people. This was also allegedly connected with the TUC demo / Black Bloc.

Received via email:
Today, April 26th, our partners, kidnapped in the “Bombs Case” montage, have decided to finish -in the day #65- their hunger strike since February 21th. About the decision that they have taken, we’re waiting that the comrades themselves write a release with their reasons, because no ‘news’ will tell us how they feel or why the hunger strike is over, if it is not them themselves who tell us.
However, the fight for their freedom continues and now we must support them in their recuperation after the long fast, no only materially but morally too, as has been going on. So that the solidarity doesn’t stop. Our forces go for them.
That the fear doesn’t destroy solidarity…
That the solidarity destroys prison.

Communiqué from Stefania and Anna, two of the comrades arrested in Bologna on April 6 2011.
Solidarity has come strong and abundant with letters and telegrams, which have been so numerous to make the guards go into a tailspin, and some were even sent by registered post to make sure they arrived. This really warms up our heart.
The charge for those arrested, for those subjected to restrictions and for all the comrades investigated is ‘organized crime’. (more…)

Text of the poster calling for demos in Italy [Fuori luogo literally means ‘out of place’]
In a world over and over again at war, where mad colonels bombard rebel towns and global sheriffs shoot against everybody; in a nuclearized world with radioactive seas and poisoned lands, where an earthquake is a business for laughing hyenas and where a cancer is yet another customer for pharmaceutical lobbies; in a world obsessed by ‘security’ but in which the destiny of everyone is in the hands of doctor Strangelove and his idiotic ministers, and in which health is in the hands of pharmaceutical multinationals and traders of waste; in a world of luxury hospices for rich elderly and prison call centres for poor youths; in a world of blue years and of lead years, of jobs that are not there, and when they are there it is just shit; (more…)

It’s been 7 months now since the “case of arsons” was started in Belarus.
All this time our friends and comrades have been held behind the bars. Having started with random detentions of activists of radically different political views in September last year, the case is finally coming to an end – it is being brought to trial. At the moment 7 people targeted in the investigation of “the anarchists’ case” are staying under arrest. (more…)

From Simone and Nora
On February 15 2011, we read in some online Chilean newspaper: ‘The public prosecutor of the Caso Bombas is considering to arrest two Europeans in order to extradite them as they are considered the financiers of the Chilean anarchists involved in this case. During the hearing to discuss the detention conditions of Omar Hermosilla Marin and Vinicio Aguiera Mery (two of the 14 defendants in the case), held on Monday February 14, public prosecutor Rojas has declared that an Italian and a French are the alleged financiers of the anarchist Chilean group accused of committing at least 23 explosive attacks out of the 108 that were carried out in Santiago of Chile since 2005. According to the judiciary, the Italian deposited 900 euros in the bank account of Omar Hermosilla Marin, accused of illicit association with aim of terrorism. Moreover, according to Interpol investigators, the two Europeans travelled to Argentina on a number of occasions in order to support anti-State groups’. (more…)

On Wednesday morning activists entered Scottish Coal’s Mainshill Open Cast Coal Site in South Lanarkshire to disrupt coaling operations. As two activists managed to reach and scale a huge 260 tonne “prime mover” in the bottom of the pit, one of the two biggest machines on the site, other activists there to support them were brutally attacked by Scottish Coal employees and Trustcare Security.
The action lasted for over 4 hours before a specialist police team from Glasgow removed the people occupying the excavator, which was in the process of loading coal from the seam on to dump trucks. Police arrested four people, two of whom were only supporting the action, and all have been charged with aggravated trespass. (more…)

Regarding the arrest of the anarchist Lida Sofianou at the general strike demonstration of Feb 23 in Athens (Greece)

Footage of Motorbike cops being attacked (Mainstream media) + February 23rd: General strike chronology, photos and video.
Update: Saturday, February 26, 2011
Lida Sofianou and another protester who faced felony charges under the enactment of hoodlum-law [koukoulonomos], were released under bail conditions (sign on at a police station once a month). A third protester facing misdemeanors was released without bail. Until 1:07pm (GMT+2) the protester accused of carrying a bow and ax, was waiting to appear before the prosecutor (photos of the frame-up of the police, here). He is injured by the police beatings in the chest, by thoracic rupture. He got notice to appear before the prosecutor on Monday, 28/2, but he is still detained because he refused to give fingerprints. Solidarity is our weapon
Tens of thousands of people took to the streets of Athens on the day of the general strike on February 23 and headed to Parliament, flouting police repression and control. In a society crushed daily in the cog-wheels of increasingly intensified repression enforced by the state and the bosses, and under the pretext of the memorandum of co-operation with the IMF, the EU and the ECB, the determination of the thousands to march to Parliament signals a refusal to bow or to fall for the fright that authority wants to give. The demonstration blocks of the anarchists/anti-authoritarians, of the class base unions, of the neighbourhood assemblies, of social resistance against price increases etc. all carried a clear message: the message of collectivisation and self-organisation of social struggles from below, against mediation, party conduct and the class surrender of union bosses. The fighting spirit of the thousands who besieged Parliament and the insistence of those who stayed at Syntagma square for hours, facing the army of police, reveal the conviction that bosses are not unshakeable, that this is the time of social and class strike-back.
