The interpretations have been given… Time for our desires to speak.
During the trial of the 17th November armed group we witnessed a spectacular performance, which amongst others, attempted with the application of the upgraded law concerning criminal acts- “anti”-terror law- to earn also social legitimization. The law’s elaborately vague and extended framework (with the possibility for DNA testing, with the article on criminal conspiracy… with the depoliticisation of the history, the theory and the actions of the group) appeared to secure in the legal arsenal that necessary method which is able to strike every existent or attempted project of subversion of bourgeois democracy, without having to accept the political status of its enemy. On the 15th of April Costantino, Silvia and Billy were arrested in Switzerland under the charge of transport of explosive material and of having tried to use it.
We affirm our absolute solidarity with them. Their identity and their struggle is the identity and struggle of all revolutionaries, because they fought with passion, persistency and absolute will against the state and capitalism, who has produced wars, death, environmental destruction, exploitation, surpression and profit for those in power. And the control and bio- and nanotechnological development are some of the instruments in the hands of those in power, to preserve these circumstances. (more…)

We will not make it home tonight, other people made plans for our evening. Which ones those are, we will experience in the near of Rosa Luxemburg Platz – as we are going to drive away with the green light, a car of the PMS (the police department responsible for political motivated violence) stops our way putting herself in front of our car, while other police cars close our car from the other sides. We will get thrown out of our car with screams, on the ground, handcuffed and encircled by excited cops, happy enough to have caught us. (more…)

Greece: Anarchist Bonanno suspected of second robbery
Athens, 25 Feb. – Alfredo Bonanno, the Italian anarchist over 70 years old imprisoned last October following an accusation of concourse in robbery of a bank in Trikala, is suspected of being the author of another robbery carried out last July at Argostoli, on the island of Cefalonia. Bonanno’s lawyers contest this accusation.
According to police sources cited by the media, Bonanno, with a false beard and wig, would have been recognised by one of the witnesses on the basis of a cctv video, while he robbed the Bank of Cyprus, pistol in hand, 6 July in Argostoli. The information has been partially confirmed to Ansa by a spokesman of the central police station, according to which “an old Italian is considered author of the robbery at Argostoli, which rendered 26 000 euros”. The spokesman did not give Bonanno’s name directly but implied that it was him.
Joanna Kurtovic, the Greek lawyer of the old Italian imprisoned in Korydallos (Athens), has expressed her doubts concerning the identification on the basis of a video and a critique of the way this accusation was made public. Bonanno, who suffers from diabetes and has cardio-respiratory problems, is one of the main theoreticians of anarcho-insurrectionnalism (sic). He was arrested at the beginning of October with the Greek anarchist Christos Stratigopoulos following the robbery of a bank in Trikala, for 47 000 euros. The Italian was later arrested in an hotel where the police found the proceeds of the robbery. Bonanno’s defence is that he received the bag from Stratigopoulos, without knowing what it contained. Turin, February 23 2010: police raids against antiracism and solidarity
On February 23 Digos officers searched dozens of houses of comrades in Turin and in other locations in northern Italy, on order of public prosecutor Padalino. Six comrades were arrested (three are now in prison and three under house arrest) and many others had their home invaded by agents in uniform who seized computers, mobile phones and boxes of paper. The accusation justifying this big police operation is, as usual, that of conspiracy, which allows the cops to arrest comrades accused of nothing more than… their antiracist activity! (more…)

In a letter from Amadeu dated February 5, 2010, he tells us that, together with the Girona prison warden and a legal expert, they have figured out the number of days of preventative detention that should be subtracted from the 37-year sentence Amadeu is serving for several bank robberies during the 1980s.
