The 6th tent city opened for refugees from Kobanê in Suruç is being raided once a week by Turkish troops in armoured vehicles. Fidan Kanlıbaş, who works at the camp, said the Turkish authorities were trying to create an atmosphere of fear.

The sixth tent city being established in Suruç for refugees from Kobanê is being obstructed by the authorities. The camp, in the village of Külünçe, consists of 1,200 tents and has a capacity of 8,000, but the Turkish authorities are refusing to give permission for the camp, which has been set up by the Suruç municipality, and want the refugees to go to the state-run AFAD camp. Report 2014: Greatest resistance expressed by The YPG/YPJ Defense Units against Daesh (ISIS) terrorists

In 2014 we have witnessed terrorist attacks by the terror organization of Daesh (ISIS) against people and the forces who would stand in the face of their barbaric mentality.

Women, children, and the elderly were not salvaged from their brutality. Along with Daesh terrorism, the earlier attacks by the Free Syrian Army, several Islamic battalion, and the forces affiliated to the Syrian Regime were in order to light the fire of war in the cities that normal life was ongoing, against the civilians. Not just inside the Syrian borders, the terrorist forces of Daesh (ISIS) faced towards Iraq and started a war with the Iraqi army and Peshmerga forces of the Kurdistan Regional Government, in an attempt to instill fear in people’s hearts, and controlled several strategic areas.

On the 10th of June 2014, Daesh terrorists could occupy the city of Mosul in Iraq and seize large numbers of weapons and military equipment, adding to their military supplies that already were controlled in Syria from the Syrian Regime and the Free Syrian Army. While taking control of some of Syria and Iraq’s oil and gas fields, the terrorist group tried to enlarge its controlled territory from North of Aleppo up to Hasakah outskirts, north of Mosul to Takrit and up near Baghdad. Friday, January 2nd, 2015

Above footage is the latest combat scenes of YPG/YPJ fighters and Lions of Rojava attacking the low-life murdering fanatics of ISIS/Daesh.

Wednesday, 31 December 2014 13:16

NEWS DESK – Cemil Mazlum, one of the YPG Kobanî Commanders, evaluated the resistance mounted against the ISIS attacks in Kobanî and Rojava during 2014, its outcomes and their expectations for 2015 for ANF [Kurdish media].

The YPG Kobanî Commander stressed that in the present situation the ISIS gangs have suffered a defeat in the face of the YPG/YPJ resistance, adding: “We are welcoming 2015 with victory steps against the ISIS gangs in Kobanî and entire Rojava.”

Recalling that the ISIS attacks on Rojava revolution have continued all year long, Commander Cemil Mazlum said that the gangs launched their most expansive attacks on Kobanî early September when -he added- Kobanî responded to the attacks with a spirit of self-sacrifice and the philosophy of leader Apo, referring to Kurdish people’s leader Abdullah Öcalan. “Kobanî has been the beginning of the end for the ISIS”, he said.

‘Rojava revolution opened the way for the peoples’

“Before evaluating the struggle of the YPG/YPJ in 2014, we firstly salute our people who laboured for the resistance throughout the year and bow respectfully before the memory of the martyrs”, said Commander Mazlum who also stressed that the year 2014 was of great importance for Kurdistan and the peoples of the Middle East.

Mazlum remarked that the Kurdish people also had an active role in the so-named ‘Arab spring’ that began early 2011, and that they as the Kurdish people had made their preparations in advance in order to change the wave of change and transformation in the Middle East into a struggle set to assure a revolutionary and democratic future for the peoples.

Noting that the Rojava revolution as part of this struggle has opened the way for a democratic future of the Kurds and the peoples of Syria and the Middle East, the YPG Commander underlined that Kurds with the Rojava revolution have been the only people to actualize a project for the liberation of the peoples.

‘Rojava revolution was intensely attacked in 2014’

The YPG Commander also pointed out that after the system in Rojava fell into place towards the year 2014, dominant and reactionary powers also realized the fact that the Rojava revolution could set an example to all the peoples in the Middle East. (more…)

Nazis threaten to destroy Rote Flora, Hamburg. Antifascists call for mobilization – 15th November (Germany)

Friday, October 31st, 2014

From squat.net:

After the Nazis’ show of force last Sunday in Cologne, largely tolerated by the police’s repression of antifascists’ counter-demonstration, the Nazis and their football hooligans are planning “a revolution” on November 9 in Berlin, and attacks against Rote Flora autonomous social center in Hamburg during another demonstration on November 15. They plan similar demo in Wuppertal this weekend.

On November 9 in Berlin, Nazis plan to gather in front of the Reichstag to start “a revolution” for white Europe. They choose this date because it’s the commemoration of the Kristallnacht, the pogroms against Jews in Austria and Germany on the night of 9/10 in November 1938. The terror inflicted on the Jewish population by the SA paramilitary assisted by the local population marked the beginning of the state’s policy of exterminating the Jewish population of Europe. Demo at Turkish capitalists’ Savoy ball (London)

Tuesday, October 28th, 2014

October 28, 2014

From rabbleldn:

About 50 people made a solidarity demo for Kobane at the Savoy Hotel from 6pm on Saturday 25 October. The Turkey Britain Chamber of Commerce and Industry were holding their annual ball, attended by the ambassador and deputy economy minister, and sponsored by global bank HSBC.

The demo was a good mix of London anarchists and antifascists alongside Kurdish youth, and other autonomous groups and individuals. There were no cops there initially, and the demonstrators took over the private road off the Strand that leads into the hotel, blocking all the main entrances with banners and making a lot of noise. Chants included “We are Kobane, Kobane is us”, “Alerta, Alerta, Antifascista”, “No Pasaran”, “Who supports ISIS, Turkey supports ISIS”, etc.

The demo didn’t shut the “ISIS business dinner” down, but gave a bit of a shake-up to the bourgeois ball-goers and seemed like a major embarassment to the Savoy hotel management. More importantly, it was a show of solidarity with the fighters in Rojava, and with the Kurdish and Turkish youth who have been going up against the guns of the Turkish state.

The police didn’t arrive for half an hour or more, then rocked up with five or so vans full. They managed to clear the private road and threatened the crowd with some kind of “public order” notices.

The ambassador and minister were not spotted, but presumably came in through a side entrance or otherwise, they were due to make speeches from 7.30PM. Guests had also been promised a chocolate fountain.
