CALL FOR AN INDEPENDENT MATERIALS FAIR – ACTIVITY OF THE SIXTH INTERNATIONAL WEEK FOR ANARCHIST PRISONERS
In response to the call for a “Sixth International Week in Solidarity For Anarchist Prisoners,” which will take place all over the world from the 23rd to the 30th of August, there will be a first winter fair of independent materials on August 25th.
This is an open call for anyone who wants to send us proposals with an anti-authoritarian focus to add to the activity. In addition, it is mainly an invitation to participate in this initiative that will happen in the “Tia Estela Space” , a squat of homeless people located underneath the so-called “Alcântara Machado Bridge” in São Paulo. Any contribution to self-management of this space is welcome.
The struggle for freedom is impossible without fighting against prisons. These disgusting spaces are surrounded by walls, violent forms of control, security devices and constant vigilance. Without such a
structure it would be impossible for any state or any government to remain in power. It is necessary to see prison not only as the main tool of domination against the subversive people who prefer war to the passivity of the masses, but also as a laboratory of the system and one of the main means to perpetuate slavery and work. Translated by Tormentas de Fogo.
“Operation Érebo” the earth moves.
Agitations and anarchic reflections the wind blows.”
At dawn on October 25, 2017 the weather darkened for the anarchists of Porto Alegre. The Civil Police with the so called “Operation Érebo [Erebus]” launched raids and assaults televised by the local media and transmitted by the speakers of the system in maximum volume.
From this police reaction, from the show and media scrape, and from the agitation in the anarchist orbit a thousand and one needs, urgencies, ideas, impulses and feelings have crossed us. From this reflection was born this will to communicate. We point our determination against the enemy and we strengthen our pace with those who live anarchy in its positions and practices.
Our natural tendency to chaos. (more…)

We came to the sixth year of the Anarchist & Punk Film Festival of São
Paulo, with the proposal of visibilizing audiovisual productions and
themes related to the counterculture of punk and anarchism, as well as
guiding the use of this important tool in our struggles. This year the
Festival will take place in the Centro de Cultura Social, an autonomous
space of much history and contribution to anarchism in the city.

São Paulo: Carlo Giuliani Cell of M.I.A. join the call for a Black December through fire / 'Célula Carlo Giuliani – Movimento Insurgente Anarquista' Reivindica Quatro Ataques A Bancos na Cidade de São Paulo (Brazil)
Tuesday, November 17th, 2015
—We claim responsibility for incendiary attacks against four banks in the city of São Paulo. The attacks occurred at the Santander bank branches in Largo da Batata, another in the Liberdade area, and the other two in the central region and in a peripheral region.—
The “Carlo Giuliani” cell of the Anarchist Insurgent Movement (M.I.A.) assumes responsibility for the four incendiary attacks that consumed bank branches in the early hours of November 15th 2015 in the central region of the city of São Paulo.
On November 15th the proclamation of the republic is “commemorated”, within large and ironic quotation marks. We have this fetish of commemorating historical dates and personages that remind our massacres and subservience. We do not commemorate the insurgencies of slaves or the Canudos Insurrection, nor do we celebrate the epic past of Marighella, Zumbi, João Cândido, Jesuíno Brilhante, Olga [Benário], or Espirtirina Martins. Going against logic, we buy the canned historical version, told by the winners who still continue to dominate us.
The fetid and corrupt monarchy that parasitised Brazil, deposed after the proclamation of the republic, does not differ in absolutely anything from the elite which nowadays parasitises the so admired democratic republic. Bankers, lobbyists, politicians, corporatists, CEOs, speculators and landlords, all worms that accumulate innumerable richness at the expense of others’ sweat.

The attack was on an ITAU Bank, in the central region of São José dos Campos – São Paulo, Brazil.
“We have this fantasy that our interests and the interests of the super-rich are the same – as if, somehow, the rich eventually will become so wealthy that they will explode, and the candy will rain down on the rest of us. As if they were a kind of piñata of benevolence. But here’s the truth about the piñatas: They do not break alone. You have to hit them with a stick.”
Our recent attack on a Bradesco bank raised some doubt in the corporate media. Indeed, the bomb placed in the third [ATM] cubicle did not explode. The intention, so far, as reported by certain outlets, was the robbery of your rotten money. But after all, an incendiary device with 5 gallons of gasoline with oil and additives, will never make an ATM explode.
Our intention was to burn your house of Capital.
On the night of 13 September, in one of the elite neighborhoods of Sao Jose dos Campos, we carried out another incendiary attack on a bank branch. This time we targeted ITAU, who in the second business quarter of 2015 made an obscene income of R$5.9 billion.
Apparently, cashing in on interest and speculating on other people’s labour is the only thing that actually continues to move the already rusty gears of the capitalist superstructure. It’s the insanity of our times, where the weakest live in crisis while those at the top feast at our expense. The attacks upon the lower classes they call ‘adjustment’, whilst any attack against the upper classes they call ‘terrorism.’
As if that was not enough, the puppet [President] Dilma Rousseff attacks the workers with harsh austerity measures, divestment and cuts to social programs and we still have to swallow a congress full of rats and worms – and all strains of parasites – fattening their stomachs with money coming from the lobbying of corporations, companies, banks and agribusiness. Suits acting in their own interests against the wishes of the people. This is what is known as ‘democracy.’ (more…)
