It’s been two months since five people were arrested and isolated. Two of them, Mónica and Francisco are locked under the harsh Spanish FIES regime, and the rest of them are in parole (obliged to weekly signatures on judicial buildings), waiting for trial with the same accusations.
Many comrades from around told us about the apparent aura of secrecy perceived in everything related with the current situation of the compañerxs and the case as a whole and that after the mass-media circus that surrounded the detentions, something should have been said. Truth is that, as we already know, against mass-media and their advocates, little can be done in terms of countering their propaganda. We can denounce it, learn how they build their webs and see how they work hand-to-hand with the State they build a hole which they try to fill with next domestic enemy: muslims, independentists, galicians, animalists accused of opening too many cages, anarchists… (more…)

On Saturday, January 11th, the squatted social centre La Gatonera, located on 9, Amistad Street in the district of Carabanchel, Madrid, hosts an info event in solidarity with anarchist prisoners facing long sentences worldwide.
We meet at 18:30 and begin counter-information talk, with the aim to publicize some of the cases of brothers and sisters who are incarcerated in the democratic dungeons of different States for many years already. Following a presentation of the cases of Claudio Lavazza and Gabriel Pombo Da Silva (prisoners in the Spanish State), Marco Camenisch (imprisoned in Switzerland), Thomas Meyer-Falk (captive in Germany), Marie Mason and Eric McDavid (imprisoned in the United States), and José Miguel Sánchez Jiménez (prisoner in Chile), we freely discuss ways to strengthen and extend solidarity ties, also through structures of counter-information and factual support, with prisoners of social war. To leave no room for doubt…
As anarchists we are in constant confrontation with the State/Capital in all its manifestations; this is a no-brainer. But sometimes, especially when Power falls down on us in all its brutality, glances get confused making strides towards ambiguous and unclear positions. I believe it’s necessary to maintain consistency, and not give rise to victimizing and defeatist discourses or practices. Perhaps now we should take a step back, but always to make five steps forward on the enticing pathway of incertitude to total liberation.
A strong embrace to all anarchist prisoners, held in prison worldwide, especially to Juan Aliste, Marcelo Villarroel and José Miguel Sánchez, with whom I had the opportunity to share experiences on the inside (in Chile).
Uncertain of what will come, yet unhesitating against Power
Barcelona: Anarchist comrades Monica and Francisco arrested for Zaragoza bomb attack – Chilean 'Caso Bombas' resurrected (Catalunya)

On November 13th, our comrades Monica and Francisco were arrested by the repressive forces of the Spanish State, accused of the explosive bomb attack on the Pillar Basilica in Spain. A hurricane of grandiloquent statements have been unleashed unto this situation between representatives of both [Chilean and Spanish] governments; congratulations of resurrected prosecutors and recycled Interior Ministers as well. Monica and Francisco were arrested in August 2010 in the so-called Chilean Bombs Case. Both confronted the trial against them with dignity and rebellion; more than 9 months in medium and maximum pre-trial prison, rejected the prosecutor’s blackmail, carried out a 65 day hunger strike and confronted one of the longest trials [in Chilean history], and had all their charges dropped by the Court with their convictions in tact. STRUGGLE AGAINST THE TORTURES IN THE SPANISH`S JAILS
In October 2011, prisoners of several prisons of the State of Spain organized and began the Campaign Against the Torture and Ill-treatment in Prison. The offer of action arose from inside after several months of previous debate and exchange of ideas between the own prisoners and the groups of support of the exterior about what tactics and forms of fight could be carried out. The common action agreed was a symbolic day of fasting the first of every month, which is accompanied with denunciations at the Congress of the Deputies for their political responsibility in the torture and death in the prisons, and denunciations at the Courts of Penitentiary Vigilance for his its complicity as the well to a group of official institutions of prevention of the torture for his permissiveness and complicity (Ombudsman, committee of Geneva and committee of Strasbourg). The story, set in Spain during the 90s, speaks about a prisoner’s life under the FIES (Prisoners’ Files in Special Pursuit) regime. Xosé Tarrío takes the chief role in this testimonial story, reporting the humiliations and tortures towards prisoners. Through escapes, he develops his protest against the prison system, the same system that imprisons him by theft when he was 17 years old. He was sentenced to two years but, for his rebel attitude, there two years transform into almost twenty years.
The best of the story is its vision of a reality, its report of an inhuman but legal system.
The bad point, is that: this story isn’t fiction.
Xosé died in prison on January 2005, by the AIDS that he contracted in jail.
This is his story.

KIDNAPPED IN STATE KILLING CENTERS IN SPAIN
First it is remarkable to say that unfortunately I’m not “a tortured prisoner” I am “another tortured prisoner” in this supposedly rule of law and democratic country. From the dungeon where I am, in an isolation bunker, where I have spent six years locked up by the only fact of rebelling against the injustices and atrocities that the executioners make us here within to the ones with courage enough to reclaim, to uprise and make them hardly earn the bread they receive from the state for mistreating, violate our rights, physically and mentally torturing, or even killing with complete impunity. “Besides, I have the right to leave the theatre when the comedy becomes odious to me and even to slam the door while leaving, at the risk of disturbing the tranquility of those who are satisfied with it.”
Authority, a basic principle of the society, exercises its dominion through various different institutions; the Church is one of the most important because of its historical complicity with the State-Capital, taking charge of laying the foundations of and perpetuating the current state of patriarchal and heteronormative oppression. The Basilica of the Pillar, in Zaragoza, is one of the most significant temples for the holders of Power. Visited by Franco on several occasions and by Pope John Paul II in 1982 and 1984, this cathedral stands as one of the main symbols and a meeting point of fascism. The Virgin Mary of the Pillar is considered the patroness and queen of Hispanishness; flags of all the States that dominate the Latin-American territory are hung inside the temple as real trophies. The Pillar Square is situated on side of the basilica and features the Hispanishness fountain, which draws the map of Central and South-American continent, taking a great deal of pride in the extermination caused by civilization. On 22 August 2012, the anti-fascist Pyotr Silaev was arrested in Grenada. He is an activist in anti-governmental protests, and the author of the book “Exodus” (published in Finland, Greece, Italy and Germany), under the pseudonym DJ Stalingrad. Pyotr took part in the infamous protests in Khimki, which for some protestors ended in jail or hospital (as it did for the renowned journalist Oleg Kashin, who was attacked with baseball bats near his home). Around 400 young people threw stones and flares at the administrative office of the town in protest against the construction of the Moscow – St. Petersburg highway through the Khimki forest – one of the few remaining green oases around Moscow. The situation bore some similarity to the recent events in Istanbul. (more…)

On May 15, 2013 a major crackdown was launched by the Mossos D’Squadra [Catalan police] which was directed from the National Audience Court in Madrid [high prosecution panel], in which five anarchists were arrested in various parts of Catalonia. A media-orientated coup to coincide with the second anniversary of the 15-M popular protests, a mediatic lynching, where these libertarians still remain in pretrial custody. Details of the case and solidarity initiatives can be found on the support blog to the five of Barcelona. In this post we provide the addresses where letters can be sent to the companerxs. (more…)

In the early morning of April 10th, we placed an explosive device in the BBVA on Paseo de Husares in Madrid. Our objective is to do the most harm possible to these temples of money, in order to destroy everything that divides and represses us.
Our hate is stronger than theirs. Struggle is necessary for the fall of the capitalist system, struggle is necessary so that our political prisoners are freed and are liberated from the torturers.
Direct action is the path! Not a step back against the State!

Solidarity with Joaquin, CNT Madrid comrade kidnapped by the police: The years of gangsterism come again (Spain)
Saturday, May 11th, 2013
Courage comrade. This fact is a sign that our movement bothers Power. It is not the first time that such kind of incidents happen. Hope Joaquin is out soon and in good conditions.
The police kidnaps our comrade Joaquin at Union local door
This afternoon several Secret Polices with nothing better to do have been harassing for no reason several colleagues asking for documentation, as they refused to be identified. For a long time the pigs have shown the swagger that comes from carrying a weapon (it is his only strength), wanting to detain the comrade without evidence, they are working for the armed force of the state. The harassment continued to the door of the Union, in 5 Tirso de Molina, Madrid. The secret agents had requested reinforcements, presenting a lot of individuals armed with batons and guns, uniformed.
