The Redfern Aboriginal Tent Embassy in Sydney is facing eviction on Monday 23rd February. The Embassy are calling for people to come down and help them resist eviction.
The embassy plans to apply for an injunction Monday against the eviction order, which was issued by the Aboriginal Housing Corporation (AHC) on Friday afternoon. The order demands the total dismantling of Redfern Aboriginal Tent Embassy, which has been a 24 hour protest camp since May 2014. In an area known as the ‘Block’, it sits wedged between Redfern Station and Eveleigh Street. It’s a sparse green oval resting on a grey concrete slope. On first glance it’s as unassuming and ordinary as its namesake would suggest. But the tents have only catalysed the political discontent and community activism that has boiled below the suburb’s surface for years.
The site has grown over the months to include vegetable patches and a seed bank, a sacred fire pit, kitchen and a collection of tents. The embassy was established to protest a controversial redevelopment plan for the Block – a chunk of Sydney’s Redfern suburb where Indigenous Australians have been promised affordable housing since the 1970s. When the AHC first began to be handed parts of what would later become the Block in the 1970s, it was widely viewed as a major victory in the battle for Indigenous land rights. The entire area was earmarked for affordable housing for Indigenous Australians. (more…)

In the early hours of Sunday, May 18 we went for a walk through the streets of the predominantly rich Sydney neighborhood of Woolahra looking for suitable targets for us to express our rage upon.
It didn’t take long for us to find what we were looking for!
We set fire to 3 luxury cars – a BMW and a Nissan X-Trail on Queen St and a Lexus on Moncur St.
We left the scene quickly as the flames of rebellion lit up the early morning sky.
We dedicate this action to our comrades from the Fire Wolves Cell & also the
Felicity Ann Ryder Cell in Melbourne, to all FAI / IRF fighters everywhere & to all imprisoned anarchist & insurrectionist fighters fighting for dignity behind the walls of injustice everywhere!

Things are heating up in this country with one of the most unpopular governments in Australian history now in charge – although they came to power with a landslide victory so go figure! ‘Austerity’ is the name of the game for Australia’s current batch of ultra-conservative crypto-corporate overlords which means increases in the cost of living & cuts to every social service you can think of along with the customary scapegoating of immigrants, the indigenous & other vulnerable members of society – unless you are rich and connected then you and your hard earned finances are in the firing line, and let’s not forget the absolute rape of Australia’s resources & natural environment that has gone into overdrive since these bastards took power and the arse-kissing of corporate & foreign powers as they continue to loot the continent. On the 26th of January in Brisbane, a few members of a fascist sect called the ‘Australia First Party’ attempted to disrupt the annual invasion day march held by the local indigenous community. On the same day in Canberra the fuehrer of the party, Jim Saleam (former leader of ‘National Action’ and ’Australian Nazi Party’) gave a podium speech at a protest against the new Bikie laws in Queensland. Back in December the party held a small rally outside the Greek consulate in Sydney in support of the ultra-nationalist Golden Dawn party. (more…)

On August 5 some anarchists dropped two banners from the Carhill expressway bridge outside the Canadian consulate. The action was in response to a call out for August 5 to be a day of solidarity actions for Kelly Rose Pflug-Back, an anarchist hostage of the Canadian state, recently sentenced to 15 months in prison for her resistance to the Toronto G20 in 2010.
The banners read:
‘EVERY PRISONER IS A POLITICAL PRISONER’ &
‘FREE KELLY ROSE PFLUG-BACK’
A couple hundred leaflets condemning the repression and celebrating the resistance in the occupied territory of Canada were also thrown from the bridge. Our small act was an expression of our solidarity with Kelly and all the rebels who rejected the passive logic of legal protest and made a concrete stand against the annual meeting of the managers of global capital.
Prisoners to the streets!
