INSURRECTION NOTES FROM TAKSIM
Actually it was NOT totally unpredictable, but we somehow couldn’t see it was coming. What have people of Turkey being doing until this revolt?
Students have beaten up the teachers , who gave them grades lower than they deserved.
People stabbed doctors, who neglected their loved ones.
They shot sergeants to run away and deserted obligatory military service.
They crashed police stations and beaten up abusive police officers.
After courts gave their verdict, people gave a taste of their own verdict at the hallways of courts. (more…)

Berlin-Kreuzberg salutes the people revolting in Turkey
Everyday since the beginning of the revolt about two weeks ago, people went on the streets in Berlin to show their solidarity with the ongoing fights in Turkey. Another short and wild demonstration took place in the center of Kreuzberg yesterday evening, the 7th of June, where around 50 people marched towards Kottbusser Tor, shouting slogans and lighting fireworks.
Material from a construction site got pulled on the street, so after a short while the traffic was blocked in every direction. The cops, that were making a drugraid at this moment, got attacked with stones, paintbombs and fire. After that the mob dispersed. (more…)

On the 11th of December 2011, in the very conservative and religious province of Aceh in Indonesia, 64 punks who were attending a punkrock show, were arrested and taken to jail without any criminal charges whatsoever.
The only reason for them to be victim of that totally arbitrary state repression was that they are punks. The police shaved their hair off and removed their piercings, their clothes were taken away from them, replaced by “decent” ones and they were forced to wash themselves in a “religious ritual”. Then they were brainwashed and “re-educated” for ten days through “religious education” and “military discipline”.
Against this outrageous police action, solidarity actions and demonstrations took place in Moscow, London, San Francisco, Los Angeles, China and Malaysia. (more…)

“İstanbul, Turkey (16.01.2011) – In the night of 16th of January 2011 at 7 p.m. against the biggest one of the shopping centers in Istanbul, Cevahir AVM, there was an attack with fireworks. The 4 of the exploded 7 fireworks hit the entrance and the windows of shopping center. While fireworks begin to explode, there had been no injury except a little bit panic.
While the banks, shopping centers, fastfoods [outlets] and other part of the consuming culture reduce imagination and free-time to shit and debt, while our planet becomes unliveable because of the consumption and commodification, we see a little art-sabotage not inappropriate.
The actions that we took like this is for solidarity with our comrades who are now in hostages in Greek dungeons and with Conspiracy of Cells of Fire.
