The invaders have surrounded and attacked us, conquered here and there, and built their bases in our lands. So we attack the invaders where we can, determined to retake our lands and drive them out. We would prefer not to be warriors. We would rather raise our children in the ways of kindness. But for our children to have a future, we must now be warriors. So be it.
In Palestine, Iraq and Afghanistan this war is most intense, but it is a international war, and people of every religion and race are under attack. The capitalist class is assaulting us worldwide, throttling our hopes of decent lives. We’re now all in the same boat, a global Mavi Marmara, so our resistance must be global. Our foe is not only the Zionists but the forces of Western imperialism of which they are a part. To survive, we must set aside our religious and political differences and form a united front. Shias, Sunnis, secularists and socialists need to work together to defeat our common enemy. If we join in solidarity, we can win. Otherwise the imperialists will continue to divide and rule.
Non-violent opposition is important but not sufficient. To be effective in this war, it must be coupled with armed struggle. (more…)

New page for Lions of Rojava (the last one was shut down):
Note: The YPG recruits volunteers through attraction to the cause and does not in any shape of form attempt to indoctrinate or “groom” people to travel to Rojava to join our cause. We are not like Daesh [ISIS]. The Lions of Rojava clearly explains to each individual the reality of the conflict in Rojava, the risks of travelling to the region and the expectations of the YPG. The safety of all volunteers is paramount. We always encourage the thousands of young westerners who have approached us to consider other ways to help the Kurdish and Ezidi people in the struggle against Daesh such as donating to charity or volunteering with humanitarian groups.
The YPG is not a militant militia, we are a Peoples Protection Unit that is organized under democratic, secular, gender equal and ecological principles that has formed in the absence of a functional government in Syria and the presence of a barbaric extremist Islamist threat. Our goal is to liberate all people from the tyranny and evil of Daesh and to construct a free and stable and democratic country.

About the slander by the Syrian Coalition – Statement of the General Command of the People’s Defense Units (Kurdistan)
Sunday, May 31st, 2015
To the Media and Public Opinion – 30 May 2015
National Coalition of Syrian Revolution and Opposition Forces are pursuing a speech disgraced the honor of the Syrian Revolution and derails it from its real track
Every victory for the People’s Defense Units (YPG) at the expense of the terrorist organization of Daesh (ISIS) in Syria, with the air support by the International Coalition Forces, Syrian Coalition emerges statements (most recently on 30 May 2015) of trumped-up charges and baseless slanders. Also to discredit the achievements of the YPG, and mislead public opinion from horrific massacres committed by ISIS against the Syrian people in all their diversity – all serve the terrorist organization of ISIS.
The irresponsible actions of the Syrian Coalition intentionally distort the facts to cover up defeats and ISIS terrorism, and try to blow into the fire to stimulate hatred among the Syrian people. Syrian Coalition is pursuing a speech disgraced the honor of the Syrian Revolution and derails it from its real track and their aim to spread the spirit of sectarianism, ethnic and sectarian strife in Syria which is multi-ethnic and doctrines, to serve foreign agendas who do not want good and peace for Syrian people. Inter Arma received:
Today in Kadıkoy, we marched in solidarity with prisoners in Greek prisons, who are in hunger strike since 2nd of March and who turn to death fast. During march, we chanted slogans: “Destroy Prisons, Free the Prisoners”, “Wage Slavery System will end with anarchy”, “Greetings to the comrades who are fighting and fallen”, “Insurrection, Revolution, Anarchy”. This action was finished in a peaceful way, but if something come over our comrades, we’ll turn the streets to hell.
Long Live Anarchy!

Xemgin said the Turkish state was still actively supporting the ISIS gangs, adding that they had footage of gunfire from Turkish military posts and positions, and of wounded gang members being carried in Turkish military vehicles and taking refuge in Turkish military posts. (more…)

Berkin Elvan was a 15-year-old Turkish boy who was hit in the head by a tear-gas canister fired by a police officer in Istanbul, while the boy was out to buy bread for his family during the June 2013 Gezi park protests in Turkey. He died on March 11, 2014. Widespread demonstrations erupted following Berkin’s death. Gezi park remains heavily monitored by secret police.
We received the following report from DAF of an action taken to commemorate Berkin. In the video you can see and hear small explosives and fireworks being used against the police and to create a rupture in the city. Here is the communique we received:
DAF action for Berkin Elvan
One year ago, murderous police killed our brother Berkin Elvan who was 15 years old. DAF was on the streets in the first year of his murder. We are not afraid of the murderers. We will keep on fighting. Murderous Police, Terrorist State will pay for these massacres.
Berkin is here, We are here!
On the first anniversary of the death of Berkin Elvan, the comrades from LAF (High School Anarchist Action) also opened a banner on the stairs of Gezi Park. On it was written the slogan “Berkin is here”. They poured red paint on the stairs to the Gezi Park, shouting “If the government is thirsty for blood, then take it.” Our 8 comrades were then assaulted, abused and taken into custody, handcuffed from the back.
War against ISIS/Daesh: Kobanê's internationalist women fighters: 2015 must be the year of women (Kurdistan)
Thursday, March 5th, 2015
KOBANÊ – Marxist women fighters from Turkey have called for all women to make 2015 the year of women. The women, who have fought alongside their Kurdish comrades to defend Kobanê and are now working in there construction, sent their greetings for March 8, International Working Women’s Day, to all the oppressed women and LGBTQI people in the world.
“Seeing 14, 15-year-old girls coming here wanting to defend their homeland affects you like you can’t believe,” said Ulrike Barbara of TİKKO (Liberation Army of the Workers and Peasants of Turkey). “I’ve been here for two months but I really regret not coming earlier.”
Ulrike had long been interested in women’s issues while she was in Turkey. She stressed the intimate link between the violence against women and minorities in Turkey and the attacks of rapist Daesh gangs against Kurdish women, carried out with the logistical support of the Turkish government.
Roza Kutlu of the MLKP (Marxist-Leninist Communist Party) said the Kobanê martyrdom of Sarya Özgür, a fellow MLKP fighter, was one of the factors that moved her to come here, but that Kurdish women fighters and martyrs had long been an inspiration for her. Now Arîn Mîrxan, the martyr who sacrificed herself to liberate the city, had become an inspiration for her and all her comrades.
“The resistance led by the YPJ here has been an example to us all,” said Rezzan Işık of the MLKP. “Women walk the streets with confidence here, with guns in their hands. They’ve made the heroic sacrifices on the front lines—women like Arîn Mîrxan, Sarya Özgür and Kader Ortakaya.”
She said these martyrs in the Kobanê resistance, giving their all against the rapist Daesh gang members, inspired her to fight for and defend herself. Now she has come here hoping to take part in the reconstruction process, saying she wanted to help build a woman’s city on the site where so many women gave their lives for freedom.
War against ISIS/Daesh: YPG have liberated the strategic target of Tel Hamis plus many other villages – Revenge for the fallen heroes – Death to the Islamic-fascists (Kurdistan)
Saturday, February 28th, 2015
The heroic fighters of YPG, YPJ and Lions of Rojava are taking the fight to the murdering fanatics of Daesh. Many of the Daesh members have been slaughtered in droves or they are running away. Our fighters consolidated their territorial control and will not stop until the enemy is defeated. Breaking reports indicate that Tel Hamis has fallen from Daesh hands, as the fighters liberated the area and killed 211 Daesh members, capturing 8 alive. Then the cowardly scum of Daesh headed for Til Temir and committed a massacre against the Assyrian people there. Here is a report from before the victory, followed by a rundown of events:
YPG Command Spokesman Rêdur Xelil and YPJ Commander Nesrin Abdullah who provided information to reporters about the operation in Til Hemis going on for 6 days said that YPG/YPJ forces have surrounded Til Hemis from three fronts while only the Til Berak area in the western side remained under ISIS control.
Remarking that fierce clashes have been taking place in the region for the past six days, Rêdur Xelil said Arab civilians also participated in the operation actively.
Xelil said the town of Til Hemis was the largest ISIS headquarters in Cizîrê Canton, adding: “ISIS constituted a threat against the Cizîrê region. In addition, a side of Til Hemis neighbors Sinjar, because of which Sinjar also faced a threat. Gangs were also using Til Hemis as a front of theirs from Mosul. They have caused great damage to the people living here.”
Xelil added that the operation which was launched to eliminate this threat was also being supported by an artillery unit of the Peshmerga forces from the South Kurdistan side of the border. (more…)

Tuesday, February 24th, 2015
Here we share an audio link sent to us with an interview with Dilar Dirik. Even though we do not share many of the liberal-democratic language and perspectives of the interviewer and interviewee, we are happy to put aside dogma for a moment because freedom and understanding means destroying the cages we build for ourselves as much as those that are built for us, as we seek out new worlds and affinities.
Rojava vs The World: The radical fight for survival, independence & freedom

International revolutionaries of the Marxist-Leninist Party of Turkey arrived in Rojava and they said the following things about their motivation to participate in the revolution:
“The Rojava Revolution is a war against fascist forces, the IS gangs. This is the reason why we are here. This revolution is also an example for the revolutions all over the world. We’re here to spread the revolution.”
“The imperialists claim that there are neither revolution nor class struggle in the 21th century. But here in Rojava there is an actual revolution. For this reason all communists and internationalists should come here to defend the revolution with weapons in their hands. The experiences gathered here have to be carried back to the countries to start the revolution their as well.” (more…)
