Albert Woodfox Indicted For 3rd Time For 1972 Prison Guard Murder (USA)

Tuesday, February 17th, 2015

From ABC Brighton:

15/02/15

In the protracted saga of the US State’s victimisation of the Angola 3, the Attorney General’s office has decided to indict him for a third time for the 1972 murder of Louisiana State Penitentiary prison guard Brent Miller. Albert, who has spent more than 40 years in solitary confinement, has had his conviction overturned three times, yet the State continues not to admit defeat and release him. Just as with his comrade Herman Wallace, who was released on October 1, 2013, suffering from terminal cancer was re-indicted two days later but died on October 4, 2013 before he could be re-arrested, they want him to die in prison come what may.

Sean Swain Refusing Medication in Escalation of Hunger Strike (USA)

Tuesday, February 10th, 2015

Via ABC Hurricane:

With fascist fuckweasels ignoring his hungerstrike, anarchist prisoner Sean Swain has vowed to refuse his blood pressure medication, beginning February 9. This medication keeps his blood pressure regulated. To stop taking this medication “cold turkey” is extremely dangerous, as it could cause a spike in blood pressure which can lead to heart attack, stroke or aneurysm.

“Freedom or death,”
Sean said. “I’m not fucking around.”

Fuckweasels have engaged in a concerted, provable pattern of harassing every element of Sean’s communication, waging a war against anarchist expression. (more…)

Call for action in solidarity with captured comrade Nicanor Cortez (USA)

Thursday, February 5th, 2015

Last week, Nicanor Cortez was arrested for his alleged participation in property destruction in the anti-police riots in Oakland, California, during late November and December. He faces seven counts of felony vandalism and a misdemeanor charge for concealing his face with a mask. Specifically, he is accused of smashing the windows of the Oakland Tribune [newspaper], the police internal affairs division, as well as other businesses.

This is a call for action in solidarity with our captured comrade. When the state captures our comrades we must answer that aggression with unrelenting fire and attack on the bastions of capitalist power. Strike hard wherever you are. Don’t let them take one of us without fury and destruction.

Harness the flame while you still have breath.

Kampagne für die Freiheit von Albert Woodfox / Campagne pour la libération d'Albert Woodfox (USA)

Tuesday, February 3rd, 2015

Here is a letter which announces the campaign for a comrade of the Black Panthers. In French and German translation done by Red Help International. Angola Free!

Guten Tag,

(more…)

MOVE: Phil Africa Passed Away Under Suspicious Circumstances in Prison (U$A)

Thursday, January 29th, 2015

On Saturday, January 10th 2015 Phil Africa, revolutionary, John Africa’s First Minister of Defense, and beloved brother, husband and father, passed away under suspicious circumstances at the State Correctional Institution at Dallas, PA. On Sunday, January 4th Phil Africa wasn’t feeling well and went to the prison infirmary. Though he wasn’t feeling well, other inmates saw Phil Africa walking, stretching and doing jumping jacks. Hearing that Phil was in the infirmary MOVE members drove up to visit him and were denied a visit by the prison. While they were visiting with Delbert Africa, Phil was secretly transported to Wilkes Barre General Hospital where he was held in total isolation, incommunicado for five days.

Prison officials at SCI-Dallas wouldn’t communicate about Phil’s condition. They told MOVE that Phil was at Wilkes Barre General hospital but the hospital denied he was there and this back and forth lie went on for days almost the entire time Phil was being held. The hospital and the prison behaved very suspiciously denying Phil the ability to call family members or his wife of 44 years, Janine Africa, stating that she was not a blood relative. The hospital and prison received hundreds of phone calls in support of Phil from around the world. When they finally submitted to pressure and allowed Phil to call Janine on Thursday, January 8th he was heavily drugged, incoherent and couldn’t even hold the phone to talk to her. (more…)

Letter from Eric McDavid about his release (USA)

Tuesday, January 13th, 2015

And now…
i cannot begin this without an over flowingly gushing heartfelt thanks for the amazing support, aid, and solidarity provided by so many people from so many places – seeing me through these past 9 years to bring me home… tears of release and joy will continue to wet my cheeks –

i don’t wipe them away… the folks at Sacramento Prisoner Support have never wavered in going above and beyond while enduring all the pressures that come from moving contrary to what the FBI had considered a closed case – i love you all so dearly. to my habeas attorneys, mark and ben, your work on this process certainly hasn’t changed my view of the legal system – but it has proven to me that humyns can actually survive the bar with their strong and beautiful hearts intact, still connected, and persevering as a guiding force in their lives = ‘thank you’ will never be enough, i love you both… surviving these last 9 years has brought me to a new understanding of patience and how it can be passionate, thereby sustaining the need for a longer view; one that will continue to help me as i move into aiding those still held behind razor wire fences, concrete, and steel… so many others have cases as ridiculous as my own – some much worse, and have been in for decades; a number i met personally and others i dream of meeting upon their release.
thank you all so much for all of your love and support as i begin to move into this next phase of my life.
i’ll be in touch again soon. for now i hope to focus on spending time with my loved ones and reconnecting with the community that i love and have missed for so long.
too much love. find UR joy

Eric McDavid

Eco-prisoner Eric McDavid ordered release! (USA)

Friday, January 9th, 2015

Dear friends and comrades,

It is with bursting hearts that we write to tell you some amazing news. Today, January 8, Eric was ordered released from prison. It has been almost 9 years exactly since he was arrested in Auburn, CA, on January 13, 2006.

Eric’s release came about because of the habeas petition that he and his legal team filed in May 2012. Because the government withheld important documents from the defense at trial, Eric’s original judgment and sentencing were vacated and he pleaded guilty to a lesser charge that carried a five year maximum sentence. This means Eric has already spent four years longer in prison than could have been required under the statute for the charge he pleaded guilty to. He received credit for time served and was ordered released.

Eric’s projected release date – until today – was February of 2023. (more…)

NYC/NYE – Noise Demo Against the Prison Industrial Complex, In Solidarity with PPs and POWs (USA)

Wednesday, December 31st, 2014

WHAT: Noise Demo Against the PIC, for the Liberation of PPs + POWs
WHEN: 9:00pm, Wednesday, December 31st
WHERE: Metropolitan Correction Center (MCC, the federal prison in downtown Manhattan); Pearl Street, between Cardinal Hayes Place and Park Row (J to Chambers Street or 4/5/6/ to City Hall)
BRING: Noisemakers, air horns, drums, anything that is loud!

On the noisiest night of the year in New York City, come help us remind folks locked up that they are not alone. NYC Anarchist Black Cross, in response to an international call for noise demonstrations outside of prisons, is asking folks to join us outside of the Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC) in lower Manhattan. Come, not to appeal to authority, speak truth to power, or any other contrivance, but rather to stand arm in arm with comrades and show direct solidarity to those on the other side of the wall.

The state, writ large, is targeting anarchists all across the United States and abroad. This will be both protest and celebration. To keep the cold at bay, comrades will again be on hand with hot cocoa that will keep the vocal cords nice and warm.

New letter by Eric G. King – Anarchist comrade charged with 'terrorism' by the American State (USA)

Thursday, December 18th, 2014

1. USA: Lettera di Eric G. King – anarchico accusato di terrorismo dal governo statunitense.

Revolutionary solidarity to anarchist Eric King, charged with attacking a government building in Kansas City! Eric is facing 30 years to life in prison!

“I endure my sorrows with my convictions which are stronger than all of this human vileness.” That quote by revolutionary Spaniard Durruti sums up my current existence. Prison is a disgusting place meant to destroy hope and facilitate despair. Thankfully I find myself comforted knowing that to be a fighter is to suffer the consequences of revolutionary action, and to cower as soon as things begin to suffer is to lose track of what matters most. There is no shame in being locked down for my alleged crimes. The state at every level has been complicit to the destruction of the poor working class both at home and abroad. American workers have forgotten that their time is precious, their labour glorious. So long have wages and benefits been cut, so long have the lower class been villainized that many forget that they are not “soon to be millionaires” but rather horribly exploited. Classism in the states is manifested by the rich and drilled into all of our brains until instead of disgust against a society that allows its brothers and sisters to toil for 7 an hour, we have disgust for the people doing those jobs! How backwards.

My life goal even back to the early priestly days has been to fight for the poor and exploited: both by fighting against classism, racism, sexism and all oppression. I have witnessed the state at the highest federal level down to the lowest meaningless commission act in compliance with corporate desires against humans, nonhuman animals and the environment. To ignore these actions is to put your own boot on the throat of the oppressed. So I await my trial for allegedly fighting against that which has always and will always use its tools to silence dissent and manipulate the masses. To fight against this government is to do the most honorable thing a human can do, to sacrifice what you can, when you can.

I stand behind the comrades in Ferguson, that they may accomplish the great deed of social revolution over a system of decades old institutionalized bigotry, and with the anti-government protesters in Mexico, standing up against the US backed government ran on violence and corruption. My only regret is that I am not able to join in those battles. For me my fight is on the inside now. Overcoming torturous solitary conditions and stimulation isolation. I take great solidarity from those who have came before me in this struggle and those who continue to show me love and remind me what this fight is for.

Please continue to support the causes that fight for dignity and empowerment of the oppressed and exploited over profit. Please support those who saw injustice and could no longer continue to struggle in a non-confrontational form, whose hearts had seen enough suffering to have to defend and lash out in the only ways they knew how. Thank you to everyone who has sent a letter, funds, books, posted on a website or shown support in anyway. Times like these you find out who your real friends are and what love really means. My spirit won’t weaken, 20 years or 1 year, I will continue to give all I have for the liberation movement I cherish more than life. No gods, no masters, no justice, no peace!

Keep up the fight,
in deepest solidarity

Eric King (A) (///) (V)

Durham Actions in Solidarity with Anti-Police Struggle (USA)

Thursday, November 27th, 2014

325 receives and transmits from North Carolina:

On Tuesday night November 25th, a group of people enraged by the police murder of
Mike-Mike Brown, and inspired by the rebellious acts that have spread across the
country, vandalized the Durham National Guard Armory on Stadium Dr. Messages were
painted on the front doors and over a dozen windows were smashed out.

The National Guard is now on the streets of St. Louis and Ferguson, continuing the
racist cops’ war on behalf of the rich against the poor.

This act followed an exciting night of protest in downtown Durham, in which a
diverse hundreds of people spoke out about their experiences at the hands of the
police, blocked streets, set off fireworks, spray-painted buildings with anti-police
and anti-prison messages, and blocked the northbound side of Highway 147.

We hope all of these acts contribute to a continued escalation in local, combative
struggle against racism, capitalism, and the state.

For anarchy,
XXX
