For this event we’ve invited Eve Rosahn, Cisco Torres, and Laura Whitehorn, who will share their analyses and experiences in facing political repression as a result of revolutionary activity.

Mark “Migs” Neiweem of the NATO 5 has been in solitary confinement for nearly two months. Why? For being in possession of Anarchist symbols (including the Anarchist Black Cross logo) and Anarchist literature. Please call or write in today to demand these politically-motivated disciplinary actions be reversed.
Since our previous call-in campaign, Mark has been found guilty on two disciplinary violations:
Gang or Unauthorized Organization Activity, for his possession of “unauthorized” Anarchist symbols and friendship with another Anarchist in the prison
Dangerous Written Material, for his possession of “unauthorized” Anarchist literature
These rules exist to limit gang activity within the prison but are being used in this case to target Anarchists and label them as an imminent threat to the facility. He is still being held in the most restrictive type of cell within solitary, behind a solid steel door. (more…)

Mark “Migs” Neiweem (pronounced Nye-wame) faces continued repression and torture in jail.
First he was placed in solitary confinement with just months remaining in his sentence at Pontiac Correctional Center. When members of Operation PenPal started a campaign demanding his return to general population, prison officials moved him to an even worse solitary cell infested with rats and roaches and where he is denied even the brief human contact solitary victims expect at feeding time.
Though he’s due to be freed in November, prison officials are bringing additional charges that could add to Migs’ sentence and endanger not just his freedom but that of future Occupy-associated political prisoners as well. “They accuse him of being an anarchist, which he is.” says Unterman. That’s not against the law — “but this is prison, so they are using it as a gang charge. The gang charges are worded so that you can apply it to almost anything.” (more…)

June 11th has been defined as a day of international solidarity with comrades Eric McDavid and Marie Mason and with all political prisoners who are incarcerated all over the world. Imprisoned comrades experience this situation not only due to their direct action and the transubstantiation of their words into action, but also because of their choice to be anarchists.
In the struggle for degradation and destruction of state/authoritarian complex, anarchists comrades and activists-abroad and in Greece, too-consider as an integral part of animal and earth liberation human liberation, too.
In U.S.A., the Animal Liberation Front and the Earth Liberation Front have been proclaimed by FBI as the No. 1 enemy of domestic terrorism. Eric McDavid and Marie Mason were arrested in January 2006 and September 2008 respectively,
without proof but with plenty of accusations. The State’s choice of their imprisonment was far more than random. (more…)

In late July of 2012 our friend Steve received a phone call from a man identifying himself as a FBI agent. He was told that a subpoena had been issued for him to appear before a federal Grand Jury investigating the vandalism of the Kenzo Nakamura Court of Appeals*. This phone call happened in conjunction with three other people being served subpoenas in Olympia and Portland, as well as house raids in Portland. Although Steve is a well known anarchist in the Northwest, who has been subjected to state harassment before, up until this moment he has not been served or indicated as a suspect of the ongoing investigation against anarchists. We are calling on comrades around the world to help raise awareness of the NATO 5 cases and support funds for the defendants on the one-year anniversary of their preemptive arrests. Between May 16 – 21, the one year anniversary of their arrests, plan a fundraiser, solidarity action, or just help spread the word in support of the NATO 5!
If you are unable to plan an entire event, you could always pass the hat at a meeting, or even help us promote our WePay.
While their lawyers are working pro bono, the NATO 5 require upwards of $30,000 for expert legal costs, court costs, data retrieval, etc. Any donation amount helps!
For more information, check out the information on the Week of Solidarity on our website: http://nato5support.wordpress.com/international-week-of-solidarity-with-the-nato-5/

ECO CAMP BACKGROUND
Eco-Camp is an activity organized by Mobile Anarchist School with the help by Local Autonomous Network (LAN) both active in the Philippines. Last April 2012 was the first camping held in Tanay Rizal, Philippines. It was attended by various collectives and individuals totaling around 40 people who participated the various activities and discussions in the camp. The objective of the eco-camp was to discuss the different issues confronting our current society and to find solidarity actions that can help expose and popularize our issues.
After series of activities in 2012, the LAN decided to expand its activities on ecological issues due to concrete manifestation of the crisis impacting the archipelago.
The second eco-camp gathering was organized by LAN and the Mobile Anarchist School in March 2013 to heighten our education campaign and to strengthen the relationship with other affinity groups and build an international network better able to work towards intensifying our impact by making solidarity actions globally. This is to announce the first Feral Awakening rewilding green anarchist Gathering from July 24th to 31st to be focused on rewilding, anti-civilization critiques (with of course in depth forums on green anarchy, anarcho-primitivism), and a place for folks to gather together in the wild who desire to see the end of civilization and wildness flourish in its place. We’re hoping to provide a space for people to make connections with each other and the earth, for those of us who realize that civilization is a destructive force upon all life and the planet itself and are looking to do what we can to see a world without it. We’d like to invite groups and individuals engaged in struggles against the destruction of the Earth (and indeed all interconnected forms of oppression) to join us and share your stories, lessons, skills, and whatever else you may have to offer. On 20 January, the independent surveillance researcher Asher Wolf tweeted an astonishing link* to a private intelligence corporation’s website containing a document entitled: “Tartan Influence Model: Anarchist Groups.” The document was published by a corporation called Tartan Metrics, a division of the information security, cyberwar and surveillance company NTREPID — a company that reportedly has a contract worth millions of dollars to create fake (“sockpuppet”) Twitter accounts to spread US military propaganda. (UPDATE/Correction: The person who initially discovered this document is actually Twitter user @TelecomixBSRE, according to Wolf. Another update: Apparently @not_me was the first to discover the document.)
The “threat modeling” program appears to be intelligence and data mining software that alleges it can reveal “a hidden network of relationships,” in this case “among anarchist leaders; a network that facilitates the spread of violent and illegal tactics to the broader protest movement in the United States.” (more…)

Marie Mason is an eco-prisoner condemned with a long prison punishment by the American regime.
Marie Mason’s 51st birthday is coming up on January 26, 2013. We are asking that folks hold events for Marie around her birthday as part of what will be an annual time to celebrate her life and keep her spirits up while she remains imprisoned.
We know that the mid-winter holidays are a busy time for everyone, but they are a sad time for the prisoners who remain inside – and everyone wants some cheer on their birthday! So we hope that folks can find time to plan a small event for Marie, such as a letter-writing or birthday party. (If time permits, we recommend that you might want to hold letter writings a week or more earlier so the cards can reach her before the 26th.) (more…)

325 receives and transmits:
We have decided to celebrate Black (banner) Friday in Toronto with this action of solidarity with our brothers and sisters currently being repressed by the state, as punishment for non-collaboration with the mechanisms of “justice”. Through our actions we show our comrades will not be forgotten, and will return stronger knowing their resistance had motivated others to action around the globe. You may target us, but we shall continue the struggle, and will return each time with a deeper understanding of, and conviction in, the inadequacies of the state and the capitalist framework, you thrust upon us.
Fire to the prisons.

Against the State, the repression of anarchists, and against all prisons!
Solidarity with all those who resist!
Free Kteeo, Matt & Leah!
Free all prisoners!
Since July 25th 2012, there have been multiple house raids and the imprisonment of 3 anarchists in the Northwest (U.S.A.) in relation to an “ongoing violent crime investigation”. The State has referenced the Seattle May Day disruptions, vandalism, and demonstrations as a cause, particularly the heavy vandalism of a Federal Courthouse. However, it has since been discovered that the Grand Jury, which was called to question those named as potential witnesses, was actually convened in March 2012-two months prior to May Day. (more…)
