Note: The Cleveland 5 are imprisoned anarchists who were set up by the FBI in one of their trademark incitement/entrapment operations. The five anarchists were arrested on April 30th, 2012 by the FBI for allegedly conspiring and attempting to detonate C-4 on the State Route 82 bridge, located between Brecksville and Sagamore Hills township in Ohio. The five had been working with an FBI informant, who allegedly gave them access to the explosives and had been providing them with a variety of other services. They have been dubbed the “Cleveland 5” and are set to start trial on September 17th, 2012. Read this letter by one of their friends.
After almost two months of imprisonment, repression and an intense campaign of media demonization, the Cleveland 5 remain strong and solid in their refusal to cooperate with the FBI.
They also remain in desperate need of our support. They are getting very little contact from the outside world and four of the five defendants are being represented by public defenders. Although right now these four say they are happy with their lawyers, they also have no access to the funds necessary to offer them the legal options they so desperately need right now. We all know that “justice” basically means how much money you have. (more…)

When we took over the Vietnam Memorial on May 1, we were surrounded.
We were surrounded on all sides by the infrastructure of this world, all that sustains it beyond its expiration like a giant life support system: the buildings that house corporations, the surveillance cameras, the police, the hostile architecture of the park itself, and the highway behind us that carries the cargo –human and otherwise— from point A to point B. The police, to take but one example, were armed on that night not only with the weapons and brutality everyone gets all indignant about, but as importantly they were armed with an incredible amount of foresight, intelligence, preparation, and resources. June 11th began as an international day of solidarity with long-term anarchist prisoner Jeff “Free” Luers in 2004. At the time, Jeff was serving 22+ years. Infuriated by the environmental devastation he saw occurring on a global scale, Jeff torched three SUVs at a car dealership in Eugene, Oregon [Click for info on Sadie & Exile, who torched the same dealership in solidarity]. The sentence imposed on him was meant to send a clear message to others who were angered by capitalism’s continued war on the Earth’s ecosystems – and to those who were willing to take action to put a stop to it. Jeff is, after all, not alone in his concerns about climate change, fossil fuels, pollution and genetically modified organisms. (more…)

Update: We just received word that they cannot receive mail at the address we posted. There is no way to send them mail that we know of at this time.
According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons, ELF prisoners Sadie and Exile have been transferred to the custody of the Seattle Community Corrections Office after spending more than 6 years in full confinement.
These kind of facilities are half-prisons where the inmates are allowed to go out for work and not much else. (more…)

Solidarity Is Praxis Not Just Words
Over the course of the past two weeks, eight imprisoned Greek comrades have declared a hunger strike that has spawned a growing wave of resistance throughout Greece. The prisoners’ diverse statements express demands for dignity, improved conditions, an end to political pre-trial detentions and extralegal punishment. Particularly, three of the hunger strikers (Giorgos Karagiannidis, Alexandros Mitroussias and Kostas Sakkas) expressed solidarity to Stella Antoniou who has been in prison for a year and a half, charged without evidences as a member of Conspiracy of Cells of Fire and has been consistently denied release for access to medical care. All of the hunger strikers (Spyros Dravilas, Giorgos Karagiannidis, Alexandros Mitroussias, Kostas Sakkas, Panagiotis Argirou, Gerasimos Tsakalos, Christos Tsakalos, Vaggelis Kailoglou [Vaggelis is abstaining from prison food, he is not on full hungerstrike] and as for today April 17th, Haris Hadjimihelakis, Damiano Bolano and Giorgos Polidoros) are not only seeking individual justice but support and reaffirm the demands of their fellow strikers. From IMC UK:
11 April 2012
We take responsibility for the attack on the communications mast on Dundry hill on 11th April, that took out five communication services and took off air BBC Radio Bristol and Jack FM for more than 16 hours, as well as disrupting Avon and Somerset Police radio communications it seems (although they are refusing to comment on this).
We did this by stuffing two tyres with rags and methylated spirit, jamming them in the bundles of wires at the bottom of the mast and then igniting them. It was our pleasure to demonstrate that with modest ability and ample will we can create a rupture in ‘business as usual’.
We want to interrupt the spectacle of the mass media, and the administration of the technological-information society.
These radio stations and the media in general enforce the interests of the ruling class – the state and corporations. Propaganda masquerading as ‘objective news’ comes ad verbatim from government and corporate sources, and listeners get blasted with a tidal wave of adverts worshipping commodity lifestyle. Any criticism of the status quo is allowed, as long as it occurs within certain parameters, taking capitalism and civilisation as given, and entrenching the idea that these are inevitable. These criticisms, drained of any vitality, actually help maintain the existing order by making it appear tolerant. Genuinely revolutionary ideas are met with violent repression, as in the recent case of the anarchist counter information websites Culmine and Parole Armatein Italy. Every repressive blow deserves an answer. Mass media is the enemy of all rebellion and of every attempt to create a free life.
The media is just one tool of modern alienation. Technologies such as mobile phones and online networks have become so all-pervasive that other more meaningful forms of communication have been undermined. We are increasingly atomised and connected to each other through the mediation of mass electronic devices. The technological-information society makes it easy to bury yourself in obsessive updating, reality TV, ‘social media’, popularity games and whatever gets handed down to blot out a way of life which hinges on control and exclusion.
Faced with all this, we aren’t bought off as accomplices to an impoverished society that is collapsing the ecology which hosts us on this planet, and we reject the endless slide show of media revelry.
This was our torch of solidarity to; Luca Abba (injured whilst resisting the military-style occupation by police thugs in the Susa Valley) and the 25 arrested across Italy fighting against the high speed train line construction; the jailed eco-sabateurs Braulio and Adrian in Mexico along with Sadie and Exile in the US; and members of the Greek revolutionary organisation Conspiracy of Cells of Fire (who are now threatened with having their sentences lengthened) and the others accused in their case.
For a renewed spring offensive – THE TIME IS NOW AND THE ENEMY IS EVERYWHERE

New prison measures vindictively applied against eco-anarchist comrades Sadie & Exile, unrepentant members of the Earth Liberation Front. Letters of solidarity are appreciated by the two wild ones… nothing forgotten, nothing forgiven…
Text by Leslie James Pickering
Earth Liberation prisoners Joyanna “Sadie” Zacher and Nathan “Exile” Block, who are a married couple, have been disallowed correspondence by their captors with the excuse that Sadie is “unrepentant” of her crimes. Sadie and Exile are nearing the end of their seven-year-and-eight-month federal prison sentences for two million-dollar arsons prosecuted under the FBI’s Operation Backfire investigation into the Earth Liberation Front. Specifically, the couple has been convicted of the the $959,000 arson of the Romania Chevrolet dealership on March 30, 2001 and the $994,412 arson of Jefferson Poplar on May 21, 2001. (more…)

Written by George Pumphrey, Berlin, Germany.
When news broke that, at the request of the US government, Portugal had arrested George Wright (Jose Luis Jorge dos Santos), a Portuguese citizen, for consideration of his extradition to the United States for having escaped prison, there was an air of the spectacular in the news articles. The accent in many articles was on the arrest of a “convicted murderer,” who had been a fugitive for 40 years.
George Wright had escaped from the Bayside State Prison in Leesburg, N.J., in 1970, where he had served more than seven years of a 15 – 30 year prison sentence for murder. It was also reported – almost in passing – that Wright and four other Afro-Americans had hijacked a Delta Airlines jet from the US to Algeria in 1972 with a ransom of $1 million destined to the foreign section of the Black Panther Party located in Algeria. CALIFORNIA LAW ENFORCEMENT ASSOCIATION – DEFACED AND DESTROYED BY ANTISEC
Soundtrack to the Rev Track: The Coup – Five Million Ways to Kill a CEO
I’m from the land where the Panthers grew
You know the city and the avenue
If you the boss we be smabbin through
And we’ll be grabbin’ you
To say “What’s up with the revenue?”
Most everybody already knows that we don’t like police very much. Shit, just
about everybody hates them, everybody except for the rich and powerful who
depend on their protection. But which state got the most blood on their hands?
Well we already owned pigs in Texas and Arizona, and many many others; guess its time to ride on the California police.
From the murder of Oscar Grant, the repression of the occupation movement, the
assassination of George Jackson in San Quinten prison, the prosecution of our
anonymous comrades in San Jose, and the dehumanizing conditions in California
jails and prisons today, California police have a notorious history of brutality
and therefore have been on our hitlist for a good minute now.
So we went ahead and owned the California State Law Enforcement Association
(CSLEA.COM), defacing their website and giving out live backdoors. (more…)

Here is an English translation of an article from the journal Conspiracion Acrata from Mexico referring to the idea of “Antiguiridismo Anarchico”. We hope you like it.
“Antigiuridismo Anarchico” which translates to “Anti-Judicial Anarchism” is a concept which has been used throughout anarchist history to define the attitude of a radical and total rejection of the concept and practice of the “justice” of the State, or as otherwise said – the judicial methods of the State including defence through a lawyer. This attitude or concept is or should be something normal within the anarchist movement but there are few companer@s who have put it into practice for diverse reasons or strategies.
Antigiuridismo Anarchico is the rejection of declaring a position to the State in front of the court or contributing to the circus of the State. Often the declarations of those who position themselves in this attitude are only directed as a dialogue or explanation to the compañer@s of their movement. This attitude is the rejection of any legal resources through which one could obtain “freedom”. (more…)

The US-Justice System is Seeking Revenge
This week, on the basis of press agency information, ND (“Neues Deutschland”) reported that a “wanted criminal” – wanted since breaking out of a US prison – had been apprehended in Portugal. George Pumphrey, a US-American with French citizenship, living in Berlin, knows the “criminal” George Wright. Roland Etzel interviewed Pumphrey.
?? Where did you first encounter George Wright?
It was in Paris. I had fled to Paris because of political and racist persecution in my country. George Wright, along with four other Afro-Americans had hijacked a jetliner from the USA to Algeria and later came to Paris. A French underground organization, that aided national liberation movements in the “Third World”, had supported us, which is how we met. (more…)
