Issue #4 of the radical ecology paper ‘L’Urlo della Terra’ is out (Italy)

Monday, March 21st, 2016

In this issue: in Italian language:
– Starting again from Nature
– The struggle against technology: a few thoughts
– Transplants: tears of those who receive and those who give or sell
– Post-human anti-specist crossing
– Fastidious Xylella, unbearable State – Chronology of a false emergency and considerations on the subject
– Leaps in the night…
– A letter to the Expo 2015 catering – Analysis of a counterproductive action
– Solidarity and complicity, on nocivities and the need to oppose them – Notes on the attempted attack on IBM in Switzerland by Silvia Billy Costa and their trial in Italy

EDITORIAL:
What does starting again from Nature mean? Has it been abandoned?

We’re certainly losing interest in it precisely when it deserves all our attention, commitment and energy.
Hearing the urgency for green spaces, environmental dangers, more ecological catastrophes to come, yet another rare and ‘photogenic’ species at risk of extinction… being shouted out by the media every day, our capacity for empathy towards what is less and less around us or under our feet, the Earth, has become saturated.

The daily description of the ongoing ecocide is lost among many other likewise serious events such as war; in this inextricable tangle of cause and effect, one puts up with the impotence in thinking about the future and understanding the present, so much so that certain milieus now incapable of looking beyond have come to the point of even supporting misanthropic theories about human extinction. PDF: Negación #7 – Diciembre 2015 (Mexico)

Monday, January 4th, 2016

Agradecemos a
los compas que coordinan los blogs donde se difunde Negación por el
apoyo y la modificacion del post, así como la difusión de la revista.

‘The Misery of Islam’ by Al-Djouhall (The Friends of Omar Khayyám Press)

Saturday, January 2nd, 2016

“When I was lying in my warm, damp bed these questions did not interest me one jot and at such a time it did not matter to me whether God really existed or whether He was nothing but a personification of the mighty ones of this world, invented for the greater glory of spiritual values and the easier spoliation of the lower orders, the pattern of earthly things being transferred from the sky. All I wanted to know was whether or not I was going to live through to the morning. In face of death, I felt that religion, faith, belief were feeble, childish things of which the best that could be said was that they provided a kind of recreation for healthy, successful people…”The Blind Owl, Sadegh Hedayat.

“The essence of Islam is resignation, submission to the order of things, and the will of God, the temporal and spiritual powers are one, as we said earlier there is a similarity between Stalinism and Islam, no wonder there is trouble in the Eastern bloc countries. People have had enough of the Kremlin Big Brother telling them what to think and do. The Islamic religion is part and parcel of the State, and the same with Stalinism. In Christian countries, the bourgeoisies which rose out of the feudal dark ages could not afford such luxuries such as an all powerful Church which went hand in glove with the State. From then on the bourgeois made sure only the commodity would rule and it would be the next God to be worshipped. What we have today proves it. Nothing is sacred, only things with price tags.”

Written in a still Muslim country on February 18th, 1989.

Announcing Black Seed Issue #4 (USA)

Thursday, December 10th, 2015

From Black Seed:

In This Issue:

* The End of the World?
* Activism and the Green Left
* An Introduction to the Anthropecene
* Interviews with Dominique & Knowing the Land is Resistance
* The Aftermath of the Katrina Disaster
* Anarcho-Primitivism and Green Platonism
* Nihilist Animism
* Reviews & More…

Editorial: Is the End of the World Upon us?

There are plenty of signs that would lead us to believe that this is the case. In
this issue we focus on natural catastrophies, both the incredibly dangerous ways
they’re minimized by government agencies and popular media, as well as our total
lack of collective responsibility, demonstrated by our increasing consumption of
finite resources. Our world has gone mad with profit-for-the-very-few and the
political and social consequences of a world with as great a gap in income levels as
there has ever been are dangerous. How will the next economic crash look compared to the 1930s?

Will it take another war to end the next one? Can we survive such a war?
Finally, is the end of the world visible in how we allow ourselves to be treated by
the State? If Black Lives Matter has taught us anything it is that the human
capacity to objectify and destroy other humans is as high today as it has ever been
and that the rhetoric is even more sophisticated (and not) and even less forgiving.
If the end of the world is a measurable event there is plenty of evidence that the
meter for it is at a near high. (more…)

PDF: Wildfire #3 – Anti-Prison Zine for Black December (USA)

Saturday, December 5th, 2015

From Wildfire

Download Issue #3: PDF

It seems fitting that we are releasing this issue now, in December. Following the letter from imprisoned anarchists in Greece and the call for international activity, Black December rages on, writing the memory of our fallen comrades with words, banners, stones, and fire. In that spirit, we dedicate this third issue of Wildfire to the memory of New Afrikan anarchist and Black Liberation Army combatant Kuwasi Balagoon, and earth liberationist William Avalon Rogers.

Kuwasi Balagoon was killed by medical neglect while doing a life sentence for an expropriation in which two police and one guard were killed. Kuwasi died from an AIDS-related illness on December 13, 1986. William Avalon Rogers took his own life while in jail on charges related to arsons committed by the Earth Liberation Front. He died on the winter solstice, December 21, 2005. This month will mark the ten year anniversary of Avalon’s death.

We write this not as a reminder of the risks inherent in struggle, nor to emphasize the brutality of the state. We remember Kuwasi and Avalon because their lives have created small spaces in our own lives where domination ceases and freedom blooms. We remember Kuwasi and Avalon because they have inspired us to act, in our own ways, against order. We remember Kuwasi and Avalon because we want to continue the struggles to which they gave their lives.

Most of all, we remember Kuwasi and Avalon because so many others involved in the struggles for black liberation, earth liberation, animal liberation, and anarchy remain behind bars. We intend to see all of these comrades free, and until that day, to act in solidarity with their struggles and with prison revolts wherever they happen.

Unwavering solidarity to all rebellious prisoners!
Memory is a weapon.

CNA: October 2015 edition of Crocerna out now (Italy)

Tuesday, December 1st, 2015

The new printed issue of Crocenera is now available:
croceneranarchica@autistici.org
2 euros per copy plus 1.30 euro postal fees.

EDITORIAL
After several months here we are with another printed issue, as we see our editorial project growing and becoming real: through talks during presentations all around Italy, the publication of information and actions which we keep track of punctually on the blog, contributions from outside the editors’ circle and imprisoned comrades, who are actually editors and not simple people to be supported; this is demonstrated by both the articles of historical analysis and those of analysis and critique on more recent topics and legal choices coming from the AS2 unit of the prison of Ferrara and other places of repression. Furthermore the proposal for a solidarity fund for anarchist prisoners is taking shape, as we explain in the first page of this issue.

Before going any further, we want to take the occasion offered by the Report on the policy of information on security 2014: in other words, the annual report on various ‘subversive’ threats, national as well as international, drafted by the ‘intelligence’ (with all the required commas…) and addressed to Parliament; particularly, their conviction that Crocenera was born to ‘re-unify the area surrounding revolutionary solidarity with comrades in prison, with the idea of creating a sort of openly offensive project.’ (more…)
